Levi hasn’t done anything terrible enough to deserve getting such horrendous food delivered to his house. He knows he hasn’t been the nicest person lately, but he’s not at the soup punishment level of attitude. Right?
I was a good boy even if the Daddy across the street would question that. - Teddy
Teddy hasn’t done anything terrible…he’s just trying to make a point through healthy food. He’s feeding the cranky grump…and possibly trying to get his attention. It’s not his fault if the pain in question takes it as a punishment. Right?
When a mischievous little makes a point through soup shenanigans, a grump with a chip on his shoulder will finally look around and see there’s more to life than drama and frustration…there’s truly terrible soup, coloring, and Christmas presents.
Author’s You first meet Levi as a side character in The Christmas Mac-n-Cheese Mystery, but you don’t need to have read that book to enjoy this one. There is a brief, positive conversation about adoption, but it is not a main part of the story.
This book is part of A Little Season Four, a multi-author series. Each book in A Little Christmas is a standalone but why not read them all and see what our silly boys and their protective daddies are up to?
Hmm.. I really wanted to love this. I've loved a lot of the other books in this series, and by this author, but sadly, I didn't love it. I did like though.
I wait all year for these. I enjoy all the books but it’s really M. A. Innes I look forward to the most. Levi and Teddy really surprised me. I can honestly say that while they share some similarities with other characters they are wonderfully unique in ways I didn’t see coming. That tea party was amazing. Olivia scares me and I need Gary’s story. If Dante intrigued me and Levi surprised me I can’t wait to see what’s up with Gary.
A Little Christmas! Teddy by M. A. Innes is part of the A Little Christmas Season 4 series by various authors. This is the story of a of a Little who appears innocent but really isn’t and how he gets the Daddy he always wanted. Teddy comes from a crazy family where his mother is holistic crazy and into crystals and psychic readings and has made quite a living by those things. He is a Little and knows exactly who he wants for his Daddy but hasn’t quite figured out how to get him until he gets creative and a little devious. Levi grew up in the same town as Teddy but is 2 years older than him and they never ran in the same circles but Teddy was enamored of him from the beginning. Now they go to the same college and live across the street from each other but Levi hasn’t even recognized that he is there. It’s Christmas time and they don’t have classes so Teddy starts sending Levi soup from where his friend works and says it’s from Secret Santa. Levi has been very grumpy and a pain in the you know where to everyone and is more so because he HATES soup, especially when the notes accompanying them say that Santa hopes the soup will improve his mood! So he sets out to find out who is sending him this loathsome food. One of his friends says maybe he needs to look closer to home because that person knows when he is there and that is when he notices Teddy and his loud friend Olivia watching him from across the street. He goes over and apologizes for whatever he did that caused the soup to be delivered and talks to Teddy who he calls Chipmunk. Levi realizes that Teddy is a Little and that he has ignored him and Teddy says that Daddies shouldn’t be meanies so to make it up to him he has to play with him at least 10 times to see if he is a good Daddy and he also has to go home with him for Christmas which he reluctantly agrees to. So they start spending time together with Levi fixing him breakfast and having playtime and learning more about each other. As things are moving along Levi wants to talk limits because he sees that this relationship might be heading somewhere but it takes a while because Teddy tends to go off subject. This leads to some kisses and dates with some interesting conversations because Teddy has a hard time staying Big. Levi finds himself in a much better mood because of Teddy because he’s cute and distracting and finally decides that he is going to be his Daddy and he is his. They have some fun times with baths and this leads to some hot love scenes that also include a first time spanking for both of them. They go to their friends’ Christmas dinner where there is another Little for Teddy to play with and then to his parents’ where they have a good time, take tea and gossip with the hired help like Levi did when he was little, and fulfill one of Teddy’s fantasies by having a love scene in Levi’s bedroom that was even better than he imagined. They say I love you and know they are going to spend the rest of their lives together and if Levi acts up again there could be more soup involved. I enjoyed this story. Teddy was extremely good at appearing innocent but had lots of plans and ways to manipulate Levi, even though he caught on to a lot of them. Levi was a good Daddy and had even gone to a club to learn how to treat his Little correctly and try things out. They both had a lot of fun together and while Teddy had always wanted Levi, Levi soon learned that Teddy was meant to be his. Their friends helped them along and their families also played a big part in the story. I recommend this book if you like light hearted stories about a Little who has to use drastic measures to get his Daddy but once he does they have a wonderful time together and fall in love.
This book is part of the Little Christmas Season 4 series and is a standalone read. Each book in this series features a different couple. This is the story of Teddy and Levi. Teddy is a little and knows exactly who he wants his daddy to be. His high school crush who has unintentionally been mean to him. Teddy devises a plan to get his attention by sending him healthy soup everyday. He thought that Levi would figure out who was sending it right away. But that is not the case and Levi is getting frustrated and mad. Levi is a daddy and has been in a grumpy and miserable mood ever since he was outed by an ex. His parents have pulled away and he is just mad at the world while he works through it. Taking his anger out on all those around him. But his chickens have come home to roost. Someone is sending him the food that he hates most in the world, soup. And they are sending it everyday! With the help of his roomie, Levi finally figures out that Teddy is responsible and that he lives across the street. When Levi goes over to apologize, Teddy is ready to accept. But there are a list of conditions. And when Teddy evolves into his little side while they are first talking, Levi grabs another clue. His daddy side steps up. This is their story. I really enjoyed this book. It is a fun read. I received a complementary advanced review copy of this book from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review. Teddy , or Chipmunk as Levi affectionately calls him, is just so sweet and engaging. Of course this rubs off on Levi alleviating some of his anger and frustration. And Teddy is enthusiastic and energetic. He sweeps in and brings Levi along in his wake. This is a very fun and sweet read. I really enjoyed it.
Levi is a grumpy character who feels unfairly punished by being given soup, which he despises. He admits he hasn’t been the nicest lately, but insists he doesn’t deserve “soup-level punishment.” Teddy is a mischievous but well-meaning neighbour who delivers soup not as punishment, but as a playful way to encourage healthier habits—and maybe to catch Levi’s attention. Teddy’s lighthearted “soup shenanigans” pushed Levi to realise that life isn’t just about frustration and drama. Instead, it can include silly fun, colouring, Christmas gifts, and even terrible soup.
I loved this story, which was a deceptively lighthearted one, but a lot was going on beneath the soup jokes. I liked that Levi feels unfairly judged, while Teddy sees himself as nurturing. The tension between perceived punishment and intended affection drives the humour and emotional core of the story. I also loved that Levi’s resistance masked loneliness, while Teddy’s mischief masked affection. Together, they explored how attention and care can heal isolation. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content with a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.
Okay, I have to say it—this book absolutely charmed me from page one. Levi is the grumpiest man alive, and honestly? I respect his commitment to hating soup. The way he acts like being handed a bowl is the ultimate punishment had me laughing out loud. He fully admits he hasn’t been the sweetest lately, but even he thinks “soup-level punishment” is crossing a line. And then there’s Teddy. Oh, Teddy. The neighbour who just waltzes in with soup like it's a love language. His chaotic, well-intentioned meddling is adorable, and the way he’s clearly trying to look out for Levi (while also maybe flirting just a little) gave me all the warm fuzzy feelings. Their banter is so cute, and the whole “soup shenanigans” situation honestly could’ve been a novella on its own. What I really loved is how the story mixes cosy Christmas vibes with laugh-out-loud moments—colouring books, funny gifts, tiny acts of kindness, a little emotional growth, and, yes, more soup than Levi ever wanted in his life. If you like grumpy/sunshine energy with a festive spin, this is such a fun, quick, feel-good read. I finished it smiling… even if Levi definitely didn’t finish his soup.
The soup shenanigans were "laugh out loud" hilarious. I love soup, so I couldn't empathize with Levi's suffering, but it was fun to see him so miserable. Soup was the crowned Queen-reason for this story's existence and helped two people see each other for who they really were. Two things were a real struggle—the interfering parents and how two adults like Levi and Teddy were so influenced by their behavior. After all, they weren't teenagers and should have had better control over their lives. The whole situation in which Levi had to make up for his bad behavior was heavily exaggerated and became the central point of the plot. Second, the conversations about boundaries and limitations, which are healthy and important dis in any budding relationship, became something that seemed endless. This significantly slowed down the pace of the story. it could have been completed more quickly before turning repetitive. I liked the banter between Levi and Teddy, Chipmunk's carefree and silly nature. It's the typical sweetness of this author that I really love because it makes me feel at home, enjoying the cozy, domestic atmosphere while reading about adorable Littles and grumpy Daddies.
I highly enjoyed this book and was recommending it to friends by page 30. Levi and Teddy are perfect for each other. They have a great chemistry and just connect. Teddy is an adorable little. The things he would say or think had be in giggles. Christmas romances can be a lot of fun but I liked that this was set around the winter holiday season but it wasn’t over-the-top in terms of festivities or themes. It was a simple charming romance that just happened to occur around the holidays and it was well balanced. I hope that there will eventually be a few more stories with a few characters that appeared or were hinted at in this book.
I received and early copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.
love reading these multi-author series each year (and catching up on any that I've missed). M.A. Innes is an author i enjoy anyway so reading her Christmas books just adds to my fun. Teddy's childhood friend (and crush), Levi, doesn't even realize that 1. He lives across the street 2. He has said hi several times 3. Teddy's mom has texted him (4. And that Teddy is a Little to Levi's Daddy) So Teddy decides to play a prank: ordering soup delivered to Levi over and over even though he knows Levi hates soup. Once Levi gets out of his funk (and it was a well-deserved one), and figures out what happened, the way they make up and move on is adorable. I really liked their story and Teddy's parents and all the staff are a hoot!
There was a lot of cuteness in this book and I have to say, the start of the story with the soup had me laughing out loud. Even when Levi realised that it was Teddy sending it, the whole situation continued to make me laugh imagining it. They were a sweet couple together and had good chemistry. I wish a little less of it involved them avoiding or circling around having the limits talk as it became a bit repetitive. I also think I'd have benefitted from reading about any of the secondary character's stories first to help me get to grips with the friendship group and world building a bit. However, I did enjoy these two together and the HEA made me smile. Overall, a good mm romance that's worth a try if you like this genre and dynamic.
Teddy and Levi’s story is great! I love how Teddy uses soup to punish Levi, and get his attention. I really like how hard Levi had to work to get through a limits list with Teddy and all the other fun shenanigans that came about. I also really liked getting to visit the friends from that house and can’t wait to see who gets a book next. This book is a no angst, fun, funny, spicy, wonderful Christmas story and I definitely recommend you read it!
Teddy was a Little who grew up with Levi, Levi who happens to be a Daddy. In college, when Levi was mean, Teddy soup bombs him to teach him a lesson. To make it up to Teddy in a negotiation, Levi plays with him and is his Daddy for a " million, billion " times. It's a sweet holiday treat with a giggly Little and a grumpy Daddy who belong together. I received a copy of this and this is my voluntary opinion.
This was a cute story about a little, Teddy, who finally resorts to drastic measures to get the attention of his longtime crush, Levi. Levi has had a rough semester, and hadn’t even noticed that the person across the street is from his hometown, but he soon realizes the kid next door is all grown up (some of the time) and then they are off on their way to a great HEA!
I really enjoyed this cute and funny (and sexy) romance. Teddy and Levi are a great match, but Teddy has to use some tricks to make sure Levi figures that out. I liked the main characters and their friends, including Dante and Ruslan from The Christmas Mac-n-Cheese Mystery. This author writes about the funniest littles and the daddies who love them, and I always look forward to those stories. This is an excellent addition to the bunch, and I can't wait for the next one.
I adored this book so much. Teddy and Levi were both nuttier than the coconut shavings on their cake. I could not be happier with how the ending turned out and I'm so happy with their story being so sweet. Soup as punishments will never make sense to me...unless it involves overly healthy ingredients.
MA Innes writes great books about littles and their daddies and this is a good example of them. Levi and Teddy are perfect for each other. They have great chemistry and just click. In my opinion, the romance sometimes flowed a bit strangely, but the hilarity and cuteness made up for it in the end.
I enjoyed this book from M.A. Innes. Teddy’s little soup idea to get Levi’s attention was so cute and funny, and I loved how grumpy Levi had no idea what was going on. They just fit so well together. Their sweet and bratty moments made me smile a lot. It’s a light, cozy Daddy/Little story, and I had such a good time reading it.
I loved this fun Christmas romance between the mischievous Little Teddy, who gets Daddy Levi's attention by sending him his most hated meal, soup, repeatedly. The slow pace of the relationship in some parts but the fast pace in others makes sense for the characters, and makes the story that much sweeter.
This is a cute steamy and sweet read, I loved the daddy/little dynamic in the story. My only downside of this story was it got a bit hectic at times and I lost the plot in who was speaking ans some of it I could not make sense out of it but all told it was a great read
Levi’s is a grumpy Daddy who doesn’t like soup. Teddy is an adorable little who likes healthy food. A quick festive read about a Daddy and boy who connect well, have tea parties and lots of holiday fun.
Loved this book. Teddy and Levi are the kind of lovable characters u expect from MA Innes. Teddy sending Levi soup just to get his attention, when Levi doesn't like soup is funny. Their relationship is a great one. Would definitely recommend.
Less than impressed which came as a shock since I’m usually right on board with this author’s stories. This was too insta in so many ways, not to mention the complete lack of any character development.
Teddy is absolutely adorable. I love the relationship between him and Levi, and just his energy all around. The two really compliment each other and the story is great I had a hard time putting it down.
I absolutely loved this story. It was so fun getting to see all of the funny characters that live in the apartment and these two were especially fun. This was equal parts hilarious and sweet and I loved every minute of it.
