Have you ever run into a field of red flags but been completely on board with all of them? Cheyenne has, and it worked out great for her, cuz Valentino’s red flags just made him hotter. This was very much an Instalove story with plenty of spice and some high stakes throwing a wrench in what was the perfect vacation. It was a fun read.

There are a few things I know that will always get me to rate a book five stars.
1. Fated Mates, I know it's not for everyone. Me though, I will always devour it, especially when it's Insta love. They don't have to get together right away, but when one or both characters know they found the one and ain't going to give up till their together. Enough said!
2. When one or both characters are possessive and protective. One of my favorite things in romances, sue me!
3. When it's a plus character(s) being loved!!!!!!
4. When it has all three!!!

This was the perfect quick read! An insta-love between an ott possessive & protective mafia boss mmc (who happens to also be a werewolf shifter) and the younger romance author with curves he would love to devour! I ate this up so fast!
Definitely pick this up if you love paranormal romances, dated mates, plus size characters, lots of delicious spice, and found family!

This book had me hooked from the first page. There was no question this story was about to get spicy. The attraction is magnetic between the main characters while the story never looses momentum. The secondary characters are as much of the narrative adding to the story arch.
The FMC & MMC are physically more relatable and the FMC insecurities is a refreshing detour from the norm.
This is the first monster romance I have read where I want more of their story after the epilogue.

This is not "holiday" as in "winter holidays" but "holiday" as in "vacation" (destination wedding in Italy in the summer LOL). A v fun time but it's pretty insta-love/lusty so if that's not your thing, you may not vibe with this. Feat. breeding kink but no pregnancy, if that's a thing you're looking for.

Also....yeah.
This short, spicy book was such a good jump back into insta love/lust that we get in monster romances. I definitely will be reading more books written by Ash because I forgot how amazing they are.
This one is kink friendly. And it's not often we get conversations about consent and limits in books.
But I absolutely love it and need more of it.
We get some tension with the plot. With Tino being a made man, who's a swing first, ask questions later kinda guy, there's bound to be some action.
And Chey is our plus sized smut author who made me laugh with her level of cling.
I adore them both and would love me a Tino, please and thank 🫣🤭

I love the cover.
I love the dialogue/banter between Cheyenne and Valentino more than the dirty talk.
I loved the breeding kink with no pregnancy from start to finish (for some stories it happens in the epilogue) and that they talked about it and decided we don't want kids but you see their parental instincts/inclinations with other family members within the story.
The dirty talk and the smut scenes were half-half as there were some I liked and others where the author self insert/breaking the 3½ wall (as it was not fully fourth wall) took me out of the book.
Heh, okay, sawa basi. Obsession pro-max.
I loved Valentino's body description. I loved that his whole character is just an over the top complement to Cheyenne; he just paces himself not to overwhelm her. He has two stand out scenes for me not related to Cheyenne - when he quips the restrained person should drink water because their piss is nasty and when he mentions the wolf pack hierarchy research debunking thing.
As mentioned above, I hated the author self insert /breaking the 3½ wall/the book within a book aspect of the story/conscious character? Any romance reader probably has their top 5 etc book boyfriends. But when you take a character and start referring to the MMC as your ideal book boyfriend whilst in the story, it annoyed the shit out of me. Any statement she'd start with the romance writer in me she'd finish with a remark that made me roll my eyes.
Ever since some discussion I read where someone pointed out that they don't read Mafia stories because they cannot condone the we-are-mafia-but-we-don't-beat-up-women-or-engage-in-prostitution angle that a majority of the stories are written in (but they'll steal, kill, sell drugs and firearms and either way you look at it they are committing crimes), I now see it in almost every Mafia related book I read. What made me laugh out loud with this one was when Valentino acknowledged that he started off pick pocketing/stealing but goes berserk when the same happens with Cheyenne. I was laughing+mouth clicking at that scene 😂.
Now, the thing that did my head in, and now I can say is a trigger when reading, is when we have a large/fat/big body gyal character and she is flat out on either one of two settings; hating on herself constantly or loving on herself self-motivation style, constantly. Cheyenne was on the hating herself constantly train and it was exhausting. And this is coming from a person with her same body shape, who has the same thoughts on and off with regards to body weight. I will give props where they are due because in her discussion on her body, she acknowledges, just as I do, I love my ass, I love my boobs, the stomach area, not so much.
She's an author, she acknowledged she reads romance, why was she asking what a mate was? That shit annoys me.
The final annoyance, The Sopranos/gabbagul way of speaking of the Mafia characters. And then Cheyenne quips this isn't the Sopranos right? 😂

because it is a question/statement that I have pondered, uttered and shouted many times when it comes to people's antics related to noise and littering.

Take the word "hole" away from this author. Other than that, this book was exactly what was promised, nothing more, but solid for a paranormal-dark-mafia-holiday-romance. Saying the full title left me more breathless than the smut.

I cannot begin to explain how much I ADORED this book.
Generally, I find Mafia romance a bit hit or miss - or insanely cheesy, but I genuinely think it was because of the lack of monsters (in the literal sense) or perhaps just that Ash wasn't the one writing them!
Cheyenne is the burnt out, plus sized teacher/spicy author of my dreams. She is self-conscious and holds a lot of self doubt and hatred towards her body and the way others perceive her. She is also an introvert with a freaky side, which I feel so many smut/monster romance readers and authors can relate to 🤣 Despite this, she has never seen herself having the type of romance she writes about. So when Tino comes along and wants to give her the world, she is thrown through a loop. What she thinks initially to be a holiday fling turns out to be a permanent, forever type of love.
Tino is the no-nonesense, plus-sized mafia boss mmc. He is possessive, protective and above all else loyal to his family. I adored Tino and his determination and intent to SPOIL Cheyenne and treat her the way she deserves to be treated. And despite the fact that he spends a good portion of this book either considering murder or actually ripping out the throats of other shifters/men that betrayed him - somehow he is still able to be portrayed as the sexy and sweet mmc of our dreams.
I loved the scene in the car with his family when they are all reading Chey's smut and he is perplexed by the fact every member of his family is reading smut - and then proceeds to become hooked on it himself 🤣
I cannot begin to explain how much I loved this book - the spice was perfection. The plot was engaging and gripping, to the point I finished it in no time at all. The relationship between the main characters oozed chemistry and romance. And the side characters were lovable and memorable.
Ash's writing is simultaneously easy to read while also painting elaborate plots and character archetypes. I haven't read anything by them that I haven't adored immediately, and this was no exception. Ash definitely needs to write more wolven and wolf shifter monster romance because it has hit on both occasions.

Did you ever see a cover and just love everything about it before even reading the blurb? There was instant love when I saw this cover and then I read the blurb and I was immediately sold! This is a spicy shifter romance between a human female and a mafia boss who also happens to be a werewolf.
This unlikely duo meet at a mutual's destination wedding and Tino takes one whiff of Cheyenne and he knows she's his mate but our werewolf boss is in full wolf form and being that she is human with no inkling of his wolf or mafia ties, he sets out to woo her gently.
Luckily for Tino, Cheyenne knows what she wants to she doesn't let him treat her with kid gloves. I loved the openness between these two. It was fun to get both POVs and know that Tino is 100% in this relationship and sees a future with Cheyenne. The way he comforted and encourages Cheyenne was everything.
Our girl Cheyenne has been burned in the past and even though she writes romance, she doesn't see it in her future. Having Tino's undivided attention confuses her but also, she's ready to live life to the fullest and if that means a wedding fling, she's down. Her finding out Tino is really pursuing her, for the long run was adorable.
This story isn't all sweet and cute though. Our Hero is a mafia boss and a werewolf that is hunting down a rat in his organization, all while trying to court Cheyenne without her finding out she's staying in a villa full of shifters. We definitely get to see his rougher side when it comes to his view on loyalty and betrayal.
This is a first by this author but I loved the world she's created and I can definitely see myself reading more like this in the future.

This unlikely duo meet at a mutual's destination wedding and Tino takes one whiff of Cheyenne and he knows she's his mate but our werewolf boss is in full wolf form and being that she is human with no inkling of his wolf or mafia ties, he sets out to woo her gently.
Luckily for Tino, Cheyenne knows what she wants to she doesn't let him treat her with kid gloves. I loved the openness between these two. It was fun to get both POVs and know that Tino is 100% in this relationship and sees a future with Cheyenne. The way he comforted and encourages Cheyenne was everything.
Our girl Cheyenne has been burned in the past and even though she writes romance, she doesn't see it in her future. Having Tino's undivided attention confuses her but also, she's ready to live life to the fullest and if that means a wedding fling, she's down. Her finding out Tino is really pursuing her, for the long run was adorable.
This story isn't all sweet and cute though. Our Hero is a mafia boss and a werewolf that is hunting down a rat in his organization, all while trying to court Cheyenne without her finding out she's staying in a villa full of shifters. We definitely get to see his rougher side when it comes to his view on loyalty and betrayal.
This is a first by this author but I loved the world she's created and I can definitely see myself reading more like this in the future.

Not even 9% in and I already hate the book. One, he literally says he doesn't care if she's with anyone once he gets a sniff of her because he'll have her. Two once he looks at her file (? apparently this mafia wedding has files on their guests down to a T), calls her boring and goes on to say how he likes to maim, kill and fuck while being covered in blood meaning I guess he does that often? He also calls her fat, which doesn't sound like any sort of endearment to her and she's supposed to be his mate? Yeah he's just so dreamy (yes, I'm being sarcastic).
At about 31% I feel like I'm already at my limit. Between her feeling bad about her size, and him thinking about how big she is, it's starting to feel more like an insult for big girls vs a book to promote body positivity. Also, I guess he does fuck often with the comment Junelle made about him having a lot of first dates and him saying they knew what it was when they went out with him. I'm really not interested in listening to a man's constant revolving doors of women in books. Not when he's the MMC because it takes all the romance and the... I don't know, what word I'm looking for here is but it basically cheapens the book and doesn't make the FMC seem special, just another notch in his bedpost, you know?
Anyway I stopped around 40% because I just couldn't stand it anymore. Cheyenne is constantly insulting herself, even going so far as to say because she's a big girl she can't have pleasure? What the actual fuck is this author on?? or that she goes on about her folds and her happy trail and stretch marks... like really? This is steadily turning into a mockery disguised as BBW romance. It's getting so bad that it's almost as if this author was dared to write a book with a plus size woman because they themselves hate them, and their pride didn't allow them to say no so we get this book as a result. It shows so much because even their first time together it's like Valentino can't even be bothered to look at her and takes her from behind instead. "Oh but she's his mate 💕". Fuck off with that bullshit.

Ash Raven has never disappointed me with any of her books and this is no different! I didn’t know how much I needed a shifter romance from her until reading this. Add in the mafia vibes and an extremely possessive MMC who loves to spoil our FMC within an inch of life? It’s a recipe for perfection. I have no complaints about this at all, I loved the tenderness mixed with depravity and obsession. The rough spice and the soft moments after. The affection and the degradation, all of it was soooo good. I couldn’t get enough of Cheyenne and Valentino, he’s the type of man I absolutely adore. Very much quit your job and let me take care of you, but also support your dreams and read the things you write. It was very clear that he would and did anything she asked of him and more.
The spice was insane and just kept coming! This man LOVED to eat out and Cheyenne was just as insatiable once she got comfortable with him. Let’s be honest, any man talking to me like Valentino talked to her would have me folding like a lawn chair pronto. I loved that there was also shifted form action and also Cheyenne questioning why she wasn’t more surprised or traumatized was funny and real. Like me too girl, I would just accept it and be happy. There were plenty of times I got misty eyed too, I loved the cast of side characters as well. Overall, I had a great time with this one!

Seriously, a fucking fantastic story - and the spice?! chef’s kiss 😘
And finally a book that gives me a great story without leaving me feeling cheated when it finishes. So many books just end the main story - and maybe give you a small epilogue, if you are lucky. But this one took care of my emotional needs with two extra spice scenes AND an epilogue. So good! Thank you Ash Raven!!!🙏
This one is going straight onto my “favorites” shelf, and I think I need to buy a physical copy right away…

‘Claimed By the Werewolf Boss’, by Ash Raven, is a satisfying walk through film noir. Had they still been alive, Valentino could easily be played by Bogart, and Cheyenne—Bacall, of course. ‘CBtWB’ has everything one could ask for in a mafia werewolf romance: big Italian family, an adorable Nona, OTT obsession w/fated mate, spiceSpiceSPICE, mafia violence, betrayal, death, and vengeance. Really love author Ash Raven’s work.

This was just so goddamn cosy and cute. It is technically a mafia romance and yes the MMC does rip multiple people’s hearts and eat them but then explain to me why these two felt like a cup of warm cocoa and a large slice of tiramisu? I loved them.
Sweet sweet Cheyenne with all of her insecurities both broke and mended my heart as her confidence grew throughout the story. And Valentino…anyone know where I can get one of those? Huge, soft-bodied but still powerful, likes a woman who he can feed and spoil, and he’s a werewolf? Sensational gimme 14 of ‘em right now!
Overall, Cheyenne is living the life we all want because she gets to bang him in his werewolf form too.

Everyone needs a werewolf mafia Romance 👏🏾 Everyone!! This took two of my favorite things and combined it into one! It was very much Fated Mates, with some insta lust/love, but the wolf heart wants what it wants! A getaway wedding for a best friend turns into a whirlwind of surprises for her when Cheyanne arrives at the fancy villa to celebrate her friend's wedding. She gets to know her friend's family, and catches the eye (and scent) of the mysterious but handsome Valentino.
Little does she know the weight of the wolf he carries inside him, who already wants to claim Cheyanne as his own. I loved how Cheyanne didn't bow in the face of scary things, had her own opinions on different situations, and took every new change with grace.

I went in knowing I was gonna love this story, not just because Ash is a fantastic storyteller but also because it has all the topes I adore in a romance and specifically in a werewolf/shifter romance! Knots, fated mates, age gap, breeding, and a little biting for good measure. I love an Ash Raven book and I’ve never been so excited to be on an Arc team. I’m fairly certain this story was in a collection of stories book I read or she reached directly into my subconscious and gifted me this.
It’s a great story, I’m admittedly not much of a dark romance girlie but I am a horror and gore reader which there is a bit in here. Which I’m a big fan of, this is a mob story so there is a bit of grotesque violence. It does not shy away from that plus werewolf so craw and teeth based violence.
I love a worship your goddess of a partner person and this definitely speaks to my delusional want of being taken care of.
If you have a horror streak and love a werewolf book you will love this book, it is also very spicy and body worshipping. Just a warning treat for all.

As soon as Valentino saw and scented Cheyenne, he knew she would be his. She is his mate. I felt the instant possession even if Cheyenne did not know it yet. The fact that Valentino held out as long as he did, shows that he did have some resistant.
For Cheyenne meeting and being in a relationship with Valentino was the best thing for her. One because she got her groove back or I should say she found her "muse" for all her new romance books she writes. The other best reason is because Valentino worshiped her curves and could not get enough of her.
If I ever was to find myself "claimed" by someone, I would want it to be someone like Valentino! Absolutely DEVOURED this book. It is a FIVE STAR MUST READ!!

Boy, do I love a hero who is immediately feral for his woman.
Valentino gets his first smell of Cheyenne one evening at the villa at which his family is hosting a wedding. He knows immediately that the teacher and secret author is his mate. He's determined to make her his by the end of the holiday and sniff out the rat in his organization at the same time.
I adored Cheyenne and her aversion to crowds and people. Same, girl. These two have insanely hot sex, repeatedly over the holiday. The way that Valentino worships Cheyenne's body brought tears to my eyes. Her insecurities were so relatable and Val did a perfect job of showing rather than telling her how perfect she was to him. Perfection.

So many action and spicy scenes, I was totally watching a movie in my head.
Many emotions while ready(all good ones), I had a lot of fun, worth ready also its not that long so you will be eating this book fast.

My first monster romance novel; quick, short, simple and straightforward and perfect for October. This book had a lovable fmc and a very over the top mmc with the strong possessive/protective vibes. This book was intense and crazy but enjoyable. I loved the cover so I picked it up. I'll always love plus size fmcs been obsessed over and loved!! 💃😌🤷🏾♀️
