-We all love the moment when we have too much to drink and do stupid stuff. Thus, usually too late, is when we realize that we messed up. Fortunately for most of us that’s when YOUR person ALWAYS comes to save you. And in this book, it just happens to be a GORGEOUS hockey player that saves you. (I would let Dalton Ward save me anyday)
-Dalton. Ward. You are the SWEETEST and THAT DATE?! ICONIC. It had me wishing my husband would plan a date that like for me IRL. But, you really are THAT GUY. The way that you make her feel comfortable, wanted, and respect her privacy is what had me swooning over you from beginning to end.
-Jenna Grant, GET OUT OF YOUR OWN HEAD, LET THAT MAN PAMPER, WORSHIP, & LOVE YOU ALREADY! This is what I caught myself screaming, in my head of course, several times throughout this story. But when she finally does get out of her head, it is EVERYTHING. I found myself in Jenna several times because I, myself, have a very hard time letting others take care of me. Its a bad habit of mine, but like Jenna when I do it’s THE BEST FEELING. (Maybe this is a sign I need to let others take care of me sometimes.)
-Trent and Ellie are THE WORST characters I have met in AWHILE. The shit they do to keep Jenna & Dalton apart are SO BAD. THE BLACKMAIL? THE HIT? Like are your serious? I figured Ellie would do something, but what TRENT did? TBH I kind of lived for it, but only because I DIDN’T see what he did coming! I was in total and utter shock when I read that part. But they got what they deserved, so I’m good.
-This book was a cute read that I couldn’t put down for sure, but I would have loved a little bit more to it as well. The only thing I would have changed to make it even better than it already is, is more description in certain areas and parts throughout the book. But other than that I would not change a thing. YOU DID KILL IT THOUGH, especially for it being your debut book!
