I came across this book completely by coincidence, and I’m so glad I did. I ended up finishing it in one sitting. If you’re interested in psychology, especially attachment theory and the ways our childhood experiences and relationships with our parents shape who we become, I highly recommend giving this book a try. There are countless books on these topics, but not all of them are approachable. What I appreciated most about this one was how accessible it felt. It explains complex psychological concepts in a clear, engaging way without overwhelming the reader with excessive jargon or technical terminology. Even though I’ve read quite a few books on attachment and childhood development, I still came away with new insights. That’s not something I can say very often. I’m honestly surprised this book doesn’t have more reviews because it deserves far more attention. I really hope it finds the audience it’s written for, because I think many people could learn something valuable from it.
