I was supposed to die beneath the Blood Moon. Tied to a stone. Sacrificed as a virgin. Offered to the Wolf of Moonfang Crag to save my starving village.
But he didn’t kill me. He looked at me—sniffed me—and said one “Mine.”
Now I’m trapped in the heart of a cursed forest, in the den of a creature with fangs, claws… and a desperate need to claim. He’s not just a beast. He’s Fenrir—a cursed guardian who says I’m his fated mate. The one foretold by a forgotten prophecy.
He brings me food. Blankets me in furs. He growls if I wander too far. And when the rut takes him, I see what he really Savage. Obsessed. Desperate to knot and breed his mate.
I should run. But every step takes me deeper into his forest... and his arms. Because part of me doesn’t want escape. Part of me wants to be caught.
This is a quick read that really keeps the story moving. There were moments when I desired more, but honestly, it was good the way it was. I love the development, the idea of ancient magic, and how romantic this was. Overall, it’s a good quick read.
I picked this book because it’s a quick read with some soft smut. My only gripe is the prophecy—it was confusing. The story hints that consent matters, but by the end it’s not clear whether it’s actually required or just adds power to the bond. It feels like the prophecy could be technically fulfilled without her choosing him, but her choice is what activates the full magic of the forest. Still a easy read overall.
This novella, while incredibly short, definitely reads like the main plot points of a larger book (in a good way). I could’ve seen this book being fully developed into full books and made into a series. It was very good and had lots of potential. Definitely a whet the appetite kind of novella.
I randomly found this novella on KU and decided to pick it up, I was surprised it was decent. The whole cursed prophecy got me lol I kinda wanna read the other novellas to see how the other monsters find their mates and break the curses
This is an amazing story. Cursed alpha for many years and a orphan the town decides to sacrifice to the cursed alpha so it will leave the town alone. But instead of eating her, he recognized her scent. Excellent story and definitely worth reading.
Sometimes you need a quick read to get you out of a slump - and this one did the trick. At just 50 pages, it was short and to the point, but surprisingly with more plot than expected.
