Another gem by Sowell

Sowell's books should be required reading in every US high school and should be part of the curriculum of every Education major.

This is a great man with great ideas. You can see that in this book. Sowell is getting old; I wish he could live to be 110.

Dissapointing book.
This was basically one, two sometimes three sentence quotes from Sowell's books maybe his lectures. Context is absent. References are opaque.

This is not a collection of essays or even excerpts of essays.

Not the best.

I came to know Thomas Sowell thru his many interviews, listening to his clarity of thought, common sense analysis is a dopamine shot on steroids. This book is a collection of quotes drawn from his many books, interviews, articles, essays, and lectures.

Have a question on how or why politicians or government are pursuing particular policies, look to Thomas Sewell to explain, and rationalize their ignorance to set your mind at ease knowing that at least someone has a grip on reality. Trigger warning, Thomas Sowell is not widely known in the public, precisely because he is the antithesis of leftwing liberalism. His habit of pointing out the obvious is too much too bare for left-wingers. They did not invite him to the Whitehouse under Obama, his sharp wit pointing out the folly of socialist policies was intolerable.

This grand collection of quotations should be viewed as either a quick introduction to Thomas Sowell or a tabletop desert of the soul while having your morning coffee. Thomas Sowell's books on the many contemporary subjects he tackles builds knowledge on how the world really is structured, rather than the inundation of liberal utopian's illogical claims.

Highly recommended reading for the adventurer wanting to get a taste of Thomas Sowell or the familiar wanting a gem collection on hand.

Shamefully neglected

If this brilliant man's ideas and wisdom had been listened to instead of the idiot rappers and tv stars, this nation would be in the most enviable economic and political position imaginable. Sadly Thomas, like Milton Friedman have been ignored and attacked by the ignorant, stupid and scheming segments of society.

One disappointment.

I am a great fan of Thomas Sowell. I was very disappointed to find multiple typographical errors in this version. I've read enough of Mr. Sowell's work to know the errors are not his. It could be related to computer errors. Still, I think a proofreader would be useful.

A tabletop reader.

Short chapters composed of paragraphs of different views of critical topics. Dr. Sowell should be must reading for anyone seeking a viewpoint other than the standard social analysis.

Excellent!

This book truly is the best of Thomas Sowell. And it is magnificent. This one is going on the shelf reserved for my favorite books.
