Ever wondered what goes throught the head of a pro? Rory McIlroy: The Biography explains how Rory McIlroy did it. Rory McIlroy, whos swing most golf professionals consider "textbook", won the 2011 U.S. Open at Congressional Country Club with 14 strokes under par. If you follow golf, you know that this is a major acomplishment becaus the U.S. Open is set up to make people fail. In other words, scores are usually much higher. For example, at the 2012 U.S. Open the winner didn't even shoot even par, instead he shot 1 stroke over par. Even though Rory is considered to be the next Tiger Woods and to be shielded from all mental failures, this book proves different. In fact, McIlroy had to overcome many mental obstacles throughout his golfing career. Something that I found intresting while reading this intriguing book that Rory was swinging a golf club since he was 5 years old. Also, Rory's dad had to work 3 jobs in order to pay for the finanses such as equipment and money for the trips. If there is one thing the author of this book displays it is determination. Throughout his life, Rory has been determined to be the best that he could be, and it has shown through his win with 14 strokes under par at the 2011 U.S. Open. This book is definately a must read for all those intrested in the game of golf, intrested in what goes through a professional golfers mind, and those intrestedin looking for ways to overcome the handicap within ourselves that we call the mental side of golf.

It is not that bad of a book but it is not good either. It is about golf which I like but the way the author wrote it I did not like. It is a biography of Rory Mcilroy and it could have been a good book. The thing that I did not like is that he skipped to many time periods and they had way to many statements and quotes. It did not go into detail. But it is still a good book
