This is a full-length standalone biker romance novel with a HAPPY-EVER-AFTER ending. His name is Kellion. Beautiful. Wicked. Dashing. Alive. That’s what attracted me the most about him – that he’s so full of life, it makes me feel like I’m not dead inside. I thought he was just like all the other bikers of the Afxisi, America’s most popular and exclusive underground racing club. Someone too rich, too gorgeous for his own good, someone too full of himself to be human. But then I saw a secret side of him. Realized that he had just been pretending all along. Realized that he needed me, and that broken part of him drew me in, like a moth to a flame. Now, I want to be the one to make him smile. Really smile, and not like all those fake smiles he used to make the girls around him fall in love. I want to make him think of me, just me. I want to belong to him, just him. But most of all, I want him to know I love him. Not the biker, not the billionaire’s son, not the hot guy. But him. Kellion. Even if his smile tells me he’ll end up tearing me apart, I need him to know he’s not alone. I’m his to love or destroy. Whatever he wants – I’m his.
I think I must be in the minority here, I didn't like this as much as some other reviewers. I do like this author's work, but I'm not really feeling this particular series, I'm finding it all a bit too far fetched . This story features Kellion and Aria, they both have troubled pasts that have shaped who they are in the present. Kellion is intruiged by Aria and pushes to get closer to her and find out her secrets. He has secrets of his own, so this is a love story of two people healing one another.
That should have made this a sweet and heartfelt read, but I have some issues with this. Kellion's history seemed a bit trivial to still be affecting him quite so much, or maybe that's just me. Aria's back story was way more convincing, but the author glossed over it so much it became meaningless as well. I also wasn't keen on how Kellion was still madly in love with his childhood friend, who was aware of his feelings and still using him in the present, after he became intimate with Aria he basically led her up the garden path by deceiving her about his true feelings for her. So overall I was not impressed.

REVIEW: I’m not 100% sure, but I think Kellion is the first full length standalone novel I’ve read from Marian Tee. I was so used to reading a 70-80 page book by her that getting into this story got me all excited. All the ups and downs between our main characters WILL take place within this 170-190 page book, and knowing that there won’t be a cliffhanger at the end really got me worked up because I knew that I will be crying a whole lot – which is a normal thing for me when I’m reading Marian’s works.
Kellion is the kind of story you can’t summarize so easily; you can’t just say, “In a nutshell, this is what happened...” There are predictable things that happened in this book – which is a normal call for someone who has read hundreds of other romance novels – but there are twists in this book that will make readers go, “What?” I won’t give much away, except the reason behind Aria wanting to abstain from speaking is deep and will break your heart.
Is this the most dramatic book written by this author? No. Is the love story of Aria and Kellion the most romantic? No. Are their steamy scenes the hottest from all of Marian’s books? Maybe. But despite of all these, this has been an awesome read for me. I thoroughly enjoyed it, not just because it is penned by one of my favorite authors, but because it offered something different. It talks about matters that aren’t being addressed as much but deserves to be. It puts to light how most people treat people who are even slightly different, and how easy it is for people to judge someone based on what’s on the surface.
SUMMARY: Kellion is a romantic novel that has a lot of underlying pain and heroic attempts of selflessness. If you want to have a good cry over a glass of wine or a cup of good hot cocoa, grab a copy of this book and get to reading. I doubt you will regret making the purchase because you WILL be shedding a few tears, I guarantee it.

Aria is such a sarcastic character despite her inability to speak. Her demeanor shows through without words, making her time with Kellion even sweeter than the usual pair. Kellion's a nice guy who isn't as dark as his brothers, but at the same time, his twisted little- with- it's- yeah.
I'm so glad this didn't end on a cliffhanger, and it was a cute romance despite the love triangle drama. You wouldn't believe the heartache I went through reading this, trying to figure out where he was going with all 'this' and 'that'.
Writing pulled me in so much I forgot I was reading (you know, when I wasn't crying or creating snot art on my shirt) and it more than satisfied my die-hard romantic needs. It was funny, adorable, and well paced.
Oh bad boy Kellion has actually finally met his match with Aria. In this Heart Racer book we learn all about the sad and tragic upbringing that both Kellion and Aria each endured. It was their shared past that brought them together.
Marian Tee again raised the bar with this story. She had me laughing, crying, upset and jumping for joy. Thank you Ms Tee!
When I first came across Kellion in Helios, I instantly loved him. I couldn't wait to read his story. This book was real and raw. Kellion is huge softy! He has a huge soft side regardless when he messes up. Kellion is a person that just needs love, he wants everyone to see the REAL him instead of the mask that he shows everyone. He's tired of being seen as the symbol, he wants people to see through the real him. Kellion and Aria's background share a lot of similarities. They both were used, damaged and have more trust issues than you can count. Aria is quirky and funny. She won't admit her feelings because she's embarrassed by them, it's funny. I can relate to aspects of her character. This couple faces troubles that we can relate to. No matter how damaged or simple they think they are, love wins at the end. Kellion and Aria make a great combination. I'm happy how the book ended.
Just a smile from bad boy Kellion, VP of the Afxisi, would have any girls panties just melting off. But he seemed to only have eyes... and hands... for Aria. But he still loves his childhood friend, Jack. The only problem, she's never loved him back.
Aria, will do anything in her power to make Kellion happy, and if that means she has to move aside, she will.
This book was another great one. This one had me smiling most of it. There are a couple times that were emotional but overall a great story. Got love those Greek Bikers.
I can't put it into words on how this has become one of my favorite books of Ms. Tee after Drawn that is. And well, there's a surprise in Kellion that I loved so much.
Anyway, back to Kellion. I now kind of remembered the heroine since she was mentioned in one of the author's previous works. I couldn't remember it that time but now I do. Aria, such a pretty name and it fits her perfectly. Her story was probably one of the saddest I've read from Ms. Tee. I was reading the prologue and some how I knew that was going to happen though I did not know how it was going to happen. Gosh, I couldn't stop crying and for every chapter she has a short letter for him which just makes me want to cry more.
And Kellion... What can I say about him but although his past isn't as dark but still he's wounded hero in terms of love. Who would ever treat their child like that and I especially hate his childhood friend. They always take him from him and he gets nothing in return. All he does is give.
But I'm glad that Kellion and Aria crossed paths. Even if it wasn't for the right/good reasons for Kellion it eventually turned out to be okay. What I love about Kellion was that he was different from the other club members. Kellion and Aria may had some naughty scenes but it wasn't an immediate all the way. The seduction that would lead to that moment make that the count down was hotter than ever. It was funny because you can see both their happiness even if Aria wanted to gag every time because of Kellion's sweetness and hotness inside she does love it but won't admit. Just loved that. Aria isn't weak, she may be kind of broken due to that incident but she's strong. I loved how that she isn't all lovey dovey (kind of refreshing) at the same time I loved it when she does have her moments of being dazzled by Kellion. They are the only ones who could make each other happy and smile a true smile. I loved those scenes. Really sweet. And I loved the nickname Kellion gave her. It fits her even though it means what it means.
I had a blast reading this book. It was very emotional for me too. I really couldn't stop crying. The way Marian wrote those scenes I could feel how Aria was feeling especially the sadness she felt.
I just want to mention some things:
There was a google part mentioned there and I have to admit that I googled it. A very good description.
I can't wait for the rest of the other Greek billionaires' story.
Lastly...
I'm freaking fangirling with the characters from Drawn. It's actually my favorite book that the author wrote. I can't wait for the sequel and find out what happened to my favorite couple. Although I mentioned this to Ms. Tee. I couldn't help it.
Maybe because this is the 6th book in the series and the only one I have read, I didn't get the whole Afxisi (or how to pronounce it) vibe. This was just another hot, rich, sexy guy with mommy and daddy issues and a girl with a tragic past.
God. That. Biker. While Aria doesn't talk, she sure does say that a lot. A lot lot. After a tragic incident in her past, the beautiful Aria has become a bit of a mute. Communicating with a white board, a phone and her eyes, she seems to get her point across. Knowing all about the beautiful Kellion, Aria has kept her distance as she knows those bikers in Afxisi are nothing but trouble. However after seeing a different side to Kellion, she is a bit curious.
Kellion is a wealthy Greek heir with parenting issues up the wazoo. I'm not sure why he doesn't think anybody sees HIM, but that is what troubles him the most. Stumbling upon Aria, Kellion is intrigued with the girl and wants to know more about her. Realizing that she can speak, Kellion makes it his mission to find out all he can about why she doesn't.
The past isn't something either one wants to talk about, Kellion has Jack still hanging around while Aria hasn't really come to peace with hers. Without the real ability to communicate, the mis-communications between this couple are almost comical at some points. With Aria as happy as she was with Kellion, I didn't understand why she wasn't verbally communicating with him. I found that very distracting as I read. At some points I didn't know if she was saying or thinking something, but still getting answers.
The book was well written, however didn't keep my interest as I felt a little lost with the surrounding characters and not knowing the back ground on them. I would have liked to see Aria blossom a little more than she did, although the letters she wrote were a nice touch.
I find this book as somewhat of a departure from recent Marian Tee's stories, and I am very glad for it. For one, I really like Kellion. He's still has the typical arrogant, Greek, alpha-male vibe going on, but he has a lot more sensitivity to his personality which I find somewhat humanizing and endearing.
Second, I am so glad that this is a full-length, stand-alone novel and not the recent novellas. It gave more room for character and plot development without having to rush the story. Furthermore, I was able to connect with the characters more. I know that Marian Tee is planning to write a sequel to this story (from the end notes), and there is definitely more room for growth, but it felt like this novel ended on a good note.
I should also mention that I wasn't expecting this novel to be such a tearjerker. I was already in tears from the prologue, and following Aria's struggles really tugged at my heartstrings.
I do have some complaints and they all revolve around the inaccuracies with the settings.
Overall, I did really enjoy this book. More of this full-length novels, please!
That phrase has never been said or used in so many different ways, or to inflect so many different emotions. Especially since Aria doesn't speak all that much. Despite that, and my going between laughing at it, rolling my eyes or just sighing, I really enjoyed this book. Am I surprised? Hell yes. I was extremely hesitant to even pick it up after the last book in the series. (Click)
Kellion, a total bad boy, most of it real, some of it not but you find out that he puts himself out there for people he cares about and Aria amused me to no end (She's almost like reading about an indignant kitten with all her fur puffed out. Which Kellion finds amusing. To quote her friend KC, "Just be grumpy.".), both have issues that need to be worked through and it was nice to see it happen.
I did fear that Ms. Tee was going to leave us with another cliffy and I almost screamed about about that. I didn't want to see these two characters have a story drug out over three books like the last pair. Just let them be happy, they really did have enough issues getting TO that point. And damnit, I'm ready to hear about Hallie and Andreus already! ;)
I love Marian Tee. period. i usually finish her books in one sitting. Her books are well written, and fun. Marian will take you an emotional roller coaster. I had tears in my eyes at one point, and laughing like a loon in another part. For this alone, I will read anything she writes. It is very easy to fall in love with Kellion and Aria. We start off with characters who are damaged by their parents, but find healing in each other. Honestly, Marian Tee has the best non-verbal heroines. Prior to this book, she had another character with the violet eyes who blinked a lot. And now we have Aria who has to depend on her small slate and friends who speak on her behalf. Aria will speak to your heart without her words. Sigh. good book. Looking forward to reading more of her books.
Kellion (Heart Racer College Biker Romance Series) Marian Tee 4.5 stars
Aria's life is thrown into turmoil when her little brother dies, he is the only reason she has kept going and continues with her parents pressures and abuse. Aria's way of dealing with the trauma is not to speak. When she meets Kellion the VP of a big underground bikers club her world as she knows it is thrown off key. He draws her in and she soon realises that he is as broken as she is, can he save Aria, will he love her ?
A real heart wrenching but lovely story, I really felt the bond and strong emotions between Aria and Kellion without the usual 'gushy' romance. There were plenty of very descriptive 'hot and steamy' scenes too, a very well written book I was hooked from the beginning and couldn't put it down. The fact it's a standalone is even better ! I will look out for more in this series.
Good but I really didn't see what the problem was with Aria wanting to leave him. I wanted to read more about her problems overcoming her parents and finding a way to move on peacefully with just the memory of Ashton. Hellios seemed like he should've come with a bigger issue then someone not wanting him. What happened with his parents? The entire situation should've been more damaging to him so his character could be more believable. In the in it was alright but if you've read one then you've pretty much read all the series.
Loved it. I stayed up till 4 a.m. just to finish. These characters seemed so real with issues that we all face. Losing someone we love or feeling like no one sees the real us. This couple is now one of my top book couples. I would like to see how Aria dealt with Kellion after the little mermaids song lol
I love this series and I love that this is a full book not a serial. I loved kellion from the jump and it is good to see him work through his issues. Aria is a sassy. I love how she is so damaged and only saving kellion saves her. Can't wait till the next in the series. I hope for Hailey and Anderus
I love everything marian tee writes but I think this one just became my favorite! I love how they truly see eachother in the end and who he is doesn't matter to her and it doesn't matter to him that she's different
This is a nice story, though I think it could have been a little deeper. The story of Aria and her younger brother Ashton could have been developed. Of course Kellion is a really 'hot' fella.
This whole heart racer biker series are some of my favorite reads, very well written and joy to read enjoyed this one and hope we hear more for Kellion and Aria.
I love Marian Tee books! I have been looking for this book for a while, on a website of course so I wouldn't have to buy it. But it was so worth the wait! I love Aria and Kellion together and the end... Perfect!!! I read that part over and over!
