Explains how to create an attractive, well-organized album of one's family heritage, offering helpful advice on finding and identifying family photographs, selecting items for a presentation scrapbook, locating historical documents, putting ancestors in a historical perspective, discovering information from keepsakes and family artifacts, and more. Original.
Not quite the book that I was expecting. I thought it would be mainly about scrapbooking but it was a 50/50 mix with genealogy. I wasn't too upset by that but other readers could well be. Also to note it is American and as such isn't a lot of use unless you have American ancestors. Having said all that it is a 3 star book as it does contain a lot of useful tips and ideas. There is a tendency to repeat some hints (eg "don't laminate") however I guess that the author did this in case the reader was just dipping in and out of chapters and not reading cover to cover.
The book title is Scrapbooking Your Family History. However, I found that the author concentrated more on the family history research (which I have been doing for over 10 years) than the scrapbooking (which I hope to start). So this book would be good for someone who has been scrapbooking for awhile but wants to branch out and include genealogy in their future pages.
