The seductive stranger from three months ago is her new boss, and he has questions about her baby bump…
When a dark-haired, tattooed business tycoon finds me on a private terrace at a corporate party and assumes I’m one of the guests, I don’t correct him. He doesn’t need to know that I’m actually working the event as catering wait staff. Not when he’s giving me the kind of attention only other women usually get from men like him. Powerful men who seduce willing, experienced partners under the night sky.
For one blissful hour, I pretend that’s me. I’m definitely willing. Experienced, though? That’s a stretch. He’s my first, and he’s incredible, demanding my pleasure over and over again.
But reality immediately follows. I don’t know how to find him, and when those two little lines hit me with the shocking reminder that we weren’t careful enough, I’m forced to abandon my dream of art school and get a real job.
Which brings me face to face with my one night billionaire Roman Thorne. My new boss, and the furious father of my future child.
Oops Baby for the Billionaire is a spicy instalove age gap romance about a rough-around-the-edges hero with soft dom tendencies and his uncertain bride who can definitely be persuaded with quickies and middle-of-the-night good girl kisses.
Chloe Maine has written other books before, but none of them as purely id-driven as Before He Was Her Headmaster. She delights in the fantasy of bending big men to the craven desires of supposedly innocent women. When she’s not writing, she’s probably reading. She lives in Canada with her own big man, raising the babies they made together.
Willa and Roman have to be some of my new favourite characters written by CM *ever*, and the fact that we didn't get more of them is criminal- the chemistry and potential were insane.
I really enjoyed this one 🥹 I felt like there was such a good setup in the beginning, and scenes towards the end that literally spoke to my soul (anything to do with comfort/care and I'm sat every single time 🙂↕️). I definitely wish that there was more to this, but I loved how it played out.
Lots of love and thanks to Chloe Maine for the ARC 🖤.
safety: -virgin fmc, celibate mmc (years) -age gap (I don’t remember his age, but she’s 20) -accidental pregnancy -no cheating/sharing/om/ow drama/3rd act breakup -separation (4 months), right after their ONS
I really waffled between four and five stars on this one. I did really enjoy it but there was a period that Roman came off like he regretted everything and never would have started up with her if he knew she was a 20 year old waitress. Admittedly I believe the waitress thing didn’t matter much to him but he should have liked her or been intrigued enough by her not to mind her age. I mean, this is an instalove novella!
He pulled out of that pretty quickly and started trying to figure out how to cement Willa into his life. I loved how once he found her again he really just took charge of everything. Plus, firing his head of security? Perfect! I’m glad that was left in when a lot of short books would have left it out but I needed him to get his comeuppance for not finding her then practically kicking her out of the building for requesting a meeting even if he didn’t know it was her.
“Oops baby for the Billionaire” is the story of Willa and Roman.
One night stand between a broke student and an older, sexy billionaire takes a turn when she disappears. Circumstances lead to a separation, until she he finds her pregnant and distant three months later.
This was both sexy and engaging, with a nice plot and happy ending.
Even though I very graciously received an ARC from this author, whom by the way is one of my favorites. I will always be completely honest when it comes to my reviews, because what is the point otherwise?! That being said, I am giving it a reluctant three stars. This was definitely not a passion project of hers and that was very evident in this book. I did not like this one and it pains me to say that because again I love this author. I feel like there was no chemistry really between the FMC and MMC. The MMC‘s character fell flat and was a bit one note. And I felt like their dialogue was very awkward. Not a lot happens in the book other than him meeting her, her getting pregnant and then them meeting again and that’s it basically. Epilogue. I believe there were two sex scenes and they were very very lackluster and I believe the first one was even somewhat of a two pump chump moment. She has this horrible dad that I thought was going to be a plot point in this book, but nothing happens with that. Again, nothing really happens at all to be honest other than her literally getting pregnant. That’s the only thing that happens in this book. I feel a bit like Chloe phoned this one in and that’s a shame cause she can write her ass off. Unfortunately, this book was not for me and I would not recommend it.
The couple in this book are Willa and Roman. She is working at his company party and he is CEO Roman Thorne. As she is working at the party champange is spilt on her and she goes into the penhouse to get cleaned off.. little does she know that Roman is also going there too. They don't know each other but things get hot and heavy with them and in true Chloe Maine stories you know what happens. When he goes to get a cloth to clean her up she takes off. Flash forward 4 months later and 2 pink lines on the test. He tries to find her but can't and she goes to his office but is turned away. Eventally they bump into each other after she accepts a job there. He is amazed to find but also finding her pregnant. He stands by her whether she wants him to or not. They come together and get there HEA. It's a very fast moving story.
This sadly wasn’t my favourite Chloe Maine at all. I think she wrote a similar oops baby + billionaire book a year or two ago and I didn’t like that one much either, so it may just be a case of that not being my favourite trope. The writing is very good though. I started off not liking Roman until it jumped to present day, and that’s when I started seeing the nuance to his character. He and Willa literally went from strangers to engaged within 48 hours though, which I kinda wished that didn’t happen until the epilogue because it felt like way too fast.
Overall, it wasn’t really for me, but most everything else CM has written has been a 5 star read, so I think this might be a me problem!
Thank you, Chloe Maine, for the ARC. This review is honest and voluntary.
Willa and Roman, they hook up at a function he is hosting and she is wait staff. She leaves. He spends months looking for her..he then learns she is working in one of his companies! Pregnant, she is moved into his apartment. Lots of banter, some deep conversations and after a VERY short time love and marriage happens. A sweet epilogue Lots of talking, snippets of heat and lots of caring for each other
ARC Review-Oops Baby for the Billionaire by Chloe Maine
3.95⭐
Tropes: Age gap (20 years!) Virgin art college student FMC Wealthy, ruthless MMC One night stand → surprise pregnancy MMC is “all in” once he finds her again Possessive hero who moves her in immediately
Chloe Maine nails the instalove + surprise pregnancy combo in Oops Baby for the Billionaire!
Harper, a virgin art student, has a one-night encounter with Roman, a tattooed billionaire tycoon who oozes power and intensity. Neither expects to see each other again, but fate intervenes when Harper ends up pregnant—and Roman shows up as her new boss. Cue all the drama, possessiveness, and swoony protective energy.
Roman’s mix of intensity and tenderness, paired with Harper’s uncertainty and growth, made their romance feel both scorching hot and surprisingly heartfelt. The middle-of-the-night “good girl” kisses? SWOON.
Another win for Chloe Maine—thank you for the ARC!
Loved this quick read. It has in depth great characters and so well written. It’s also sweet and steamy. After a one night stand Willa tries to find the father of her baby but he’s the Thorne King and no one will let her see him. I’m loving this multi author series and I loved this story.
I think this book would have been great if it was longer and we had more time to get to know the characters. The insta love worked for them though. I just wish we got to see him spoil her more.
2.⭐️⭐️ I understand that the series revolves around the idea of love at first sight and obsessive MMC’s, but there was nothing innovative about this book. 🤦🏻♀️
A quick, fun read that I devoured in one sitting! It has all the tropes I love—surprise pregnancy, age gap, billionaire MMC, virgin FMC, and a sizzling one-night stand. Beautifully written, with just the right amount of spice. Definitely recommend!
I needed something short to read to reach my goal this year and this was sufficient. Absolutely insane plot and execution. Both the FMC and MMC need lobotomies. Prayers to their child. 2 ⭐️⭐️ stars.
Chemistry, Heart, and Heat in a Short but Satisfying Read
Hello everyone! I received an advance copy of this book from Chloe Maine, and this is my honest review. Just a heads-up—this is my first ever ARC review! I’ll try to share a short version of the plot along with my thoughts and feelings, spoiler-free.
Let me point out upfront that since discovering Father of the Bride by chance, Ms. Maine has never disappointed me once with her 150–200 page mid-length novellas. Thanks to her wonderful collaborations with Evie Rose and Cassie Mint, we get these shorter stories a couple of times a year—like Oops Baby for the Billionaire—which I devoured in one sitting and got exactly what I was promised.
This book dives right into the story with 20-year-old Willa, who is working at an event when she accidentally meets the much older, handsome, and charismatic Roman. The chemistry between them is instant. Roman, a successful businessman who has been too focused on work and never felt a true spark with anyone, is drawn to Willa from the very beginning. Our young FMC, who is dealing with multiple difficulties in her life, decides to embrace what might be a once-in-a-lifetime experience with Roman. She throws caution to the wind and gives in to their intense attraction. From there, fate and chance bring them back together after losing contact, though misunderstandings and mistakes make their reunion bumpy. Still, resilient Roman and vulnerable yet determined Willa fight for what they want—from each other and from life itself.
This was a hot yet sweet erotic short story with a strong and dynamic FMC and a possessive but gentle MMC. Even in chapters without “action” (if you know what I mean 😉), the chemistry between the two keeps the reader engaged, with even small touches sparking tension and excitement.
As always, Ms. Maine has managed to paint vivid scenes, communicate her characters’ emotions and struggles, and build an engaging story even within a shorter format. Something I especially appreciate about her writing style—though it can sometimes be tricky—is how she shares her characters’ unfiltered thoughts. This makes them feel complex and human, forcing me to reflect on their choices and keeping me fully immersed in the story.
If I had one small critique, it would be that I would have loved to see a little more heat in the intimate scenes and perhaps a touch more struggle between Willa and Roman as they navigated their relationship. That extra depth could have made their connection feel even more layered and rewarding.
All in all, Oops Baby for the Billionaire is a great choice for readers who enjoy the “surprise pregnancy” trope and are looking for an entertaining, hot, and sweet short story to enjoy in their free time. Definitely a re-read for me!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🔥🔥🔥 “Oops Baby for the Billionaire” by Chloe Maine is a sweet little treat for those who enjoy a quintessential instalove story with a grumpy, obsessive, billionaire & a down on her luck artist who have immediate & inescapable chemistry.
Willa is a cater waiter to make ends meet while she is finishing up her fine arts degree. Exceedingly frustrated with her circumstances, Willa has had to move into her studio space at school (which is not strictly legal) since her father gambled &/or drank away their rent money. Compounding her already crappy day, a less than polite guest of the function she is working at, knocks into her, spilling multiple glasses of champagne on her white button up shirt. Dismissed to clean herself up, Willa makes her way to the private residential area of the penthouse she is currently in to do as instructed.
Billionaire Roman Thorne has just bought the building and all the businesses in it. It would seem obvious to anyone with half a brain that he would be in attendance at the celebration of the purchase, and he is. Sadly, Roman can’t stand situations like this, & so after the requisite amount of schmoozing, disappears to the seemingly private area of his newly acquired penthouse. Only what he finds in the bathroom is a something, or rather someone he knows, on a cellular level, is about to change his life.
And so begins a steamy tryst between Willa & Roman. It should be noted however, that Roman is under the mistaken impression that Willa is a guest at the event, & Willa is aware of this miscommunication. Afraid for her job, and chalking it off to an impulsive (& very satisfying) de-virginizing experience, disappears from the penthouse while Roman steps away.
Four months later a grumpier than usual Roman bumps into a clearly pregnant Willa (who now works for one of his businesses) & after getting over a profound state of shock, moves quickly & efficiently to make sure Willa stays in his life for good.
Chloe Maine does it again, with a well executed, fast paced, age gap novella that is a perfect one-sitting read.

This was a short, sweet and sassy story with beautifully written characters. Featuring Willa who is working as a waitress at a big launch party, she has a tray of wine tipped over her, she grabs a clean shirt and she goes to a up in the service elevator to the penthouse looking for a high powered hair dryer to dry her very wet bra. Roman Thorne is at the building for the launch but he wants to put it off for longer so decides to check out the penthouse that comes with the building, as he comes out of the private elevator he hears someone in the bathroom finds, he finds a stunning woman dressed in business attire except it’s very clear under her white blouse she has no bra, her breasts showing clearly, he is immediately attracted and is intrigued with her. They go out on to the terrace off Roman’s bedroom, he has asked Willa about herself but other than giving him her name, they get caught up in the extremely hot and passionate steamy session playing out, Rowan is completely besotted with Willa and he is mentally making all these plans for the rest of the night and even for the following day, he goes to the bathroom to clean himself off and grab a washcloth to clean Willa, when he gets back Willa was gone! He has his security staff searching for Willa, he believed her to be a guest, no sign of her, four months later Roman is on the 3rd floor of his building to attend a meeting and he hears her voice, it’s Willa and when he sees her she is pregnant! I received an advanced reader’s copy of this book via BookFunnel and I am writing this review voluntarily
This book is part of the Oops Baby multi author series and features Roman, a shockingly desperate billionaire whose (not even a) one night stand disappeared, leaving him searching for her for months. When he finally finds her, he’s in for more than a surprise when he sees her baby bump.
Willa had to leave! After a serving incident in which her shirt was soaked with wine, she met a handsome older man and, after sharing a bottle of champagne and spending time with him, wound up giving her virginity to the hottest man she’d ever seen but, he thought she was someone she wasn’t… he’d never want her if he knew she was the paid help!! Four weeks later… oops, she’s having a baby!
This was a super short, sweet and steamy read with a grumpy man who was really the sweetest, most romantic MMC ever. I loved the book but I was kinda disappointed at the ending… I don’t know why, since we got an epilogue but it still seemed to end too abruptly. I just basically wasn’t ready for it to end is the problem, I guess. Anyway, it’s an really good book. 4.5 stars!
I received a copy of this for free but am voluntarily leaving a review.
Even though this one is a quick read, yet the way our author has written this book makes you feel instantly connected to our leads, Roman and Willa. I devoured this book in one sitting because it's just so freaking unputdownable. 😍
I love books like these that pull me into a fantasy like dream and the feels are so strong that I'm instantly obsessed and this book did all that.
This one is a Billionaire Romance with a one night stand and surprise pregnancy themes and add to it that our billionaire might be a ruthless and powerful man yet for Willa... Ahhh... That man had me utterly swooning.
The Way they connect and their sizzling chemistry right from that very first meeting... Oh my... And then they go on to have the hottest night together.
The drama is perfectly interspersed to keep you intrigued and the spicy chemistry between Roman and Willa.... Oh my freaking goodness.... Sizzling 🔥🌶️🥵
Roman Thorne and Willa have my heart and I absolutely loved taking this ride with them. Loved loved this one. ❤️❤️❤️
Our somber growly Roman, and Willa have so much in common.
He's kept himself apart, accustomed to people trying to use him. Women, and businessmen come onto him for his money. With a conscious decision, he keeps himself walled off.
Willa's life has never been easy; every day is a struggle. Working as wait staff for a caterer for what little she can earn, she gets doused in champaign by a clumsy guest, and needing a fresh shirt, stumbles across Roman, also hiding away from the party.
She slips away afterwards, knowing she is out of her league, not knowing he frantically searches for her. But when she tries to reach out to him, she is blocked by his security.
The instant Roman finally sees her, he knows. Her baby bump isn't little after long months apart. Not just thrilled to finally find her, but thrilled she carries their child. A sweet endearing story of two people finding themselves in each other.
Chloe Maine always delivers when you need short, spicy, and an absolutely obsessed MMC. Oops Baby for the Billionaire is exactly that.
Short and sweet, Willa & Roman will leave you wanting more - truly, Maine could make this a full-length novel if so desired. The set up is perfect, the characters are great, and it has all the hallmarks of a Chloe Maine novella that we've come to know and love.
If you need something to read in an afternoon, a palette cleanser, or just a HEA with a spicy age gap, this is going to hit that spot. It's part of a series with the usual co-conspirators (Evie Rose & Cassie Mint) so I can't wait to read those as well!
🔥 age gap (20 years!) 📚 virgin art college student FMC 💰 wealthy, ruthless MMC 🤰🏼 one night stand to oops she's pregnant 🥹 he's all in from the beginning (but he can't find her) 🛌 she's homeless, he's possessive, so he moves her in with him
This book successfully walked that fine line between real life and unbelievable. Willa the catering waitress meets Roman the billionaire at an event. Their chemistry is immediate and he doesn't have any idea that she's not a party guest. This mysterious one night stand results in Willa being pregnant; she finally re-encounters Roman months later when she's working in his building. I thought this whole extended meet/cute was very imaginative; I enjoyed the suspense of waiting for them to re-engage - that encounter was honest and delightful. Roman was a very bossy fellow, but Willa had quite a spine as well, so their dialogue and their spicy moments were both full of fireworks! The trip to their HEA is not smooth sailing, and it's all there in this too-short (in my opinion!) novel. I enjoyed it all very much. I received an ARC and volunteered to write a review.
4.25 stars. This short story is dual POV, well written and edited, and a sweet and steamy, instalust to more, male billionaire (Roman)/female waitress (Willa), contemporary romance. I empathised with Willa’s situation and understood her anxiety. I enjoyed seeing her become confident as Roman expressed his devotion. I enjoyed seeing Roman learn to value human experience and work to find Willa. I chuckled at the banter. I enjoyed the steamy intimate scenes, though they didn’t feel as connective as other stories by this author have. I giggled at the ending.
I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.
Oops Baby for the Billionaire by Chloe Maine is an ägë-gäp (20+ years), slightly-mistaken identity, insta-love...but 4 months in the making, more sweet than spïcƴ romance. Willa is the waitstaff and one of Roman's tech launching parties. She has wine spilled on her shirt and she goes to a private bathroom in the penthouse to wash out her bra. Roman finds her in his quarters and is intrigued with her. They have a convo, ṣëx and Willa sneaks away when Roman cleans himself up. What happens next is a lot of searching... This was a short story that definitely could have been made a lot longer. It does have an HEA and future epilogue. 💕
A cute, fast paced novella about two smart and sassy people who fall in love, marry and have a baby. Willa is a young college student working as a waitress at a fancy party. Thanks to a accidental spill of glasses, she has to change her blouse and ends up meeting Roman, the wealthy owner of the company whose party she is working at. One thing leads to another – she ends up pregnant, but it takes time for them to connect again. The book is humorous and the story is fun to read, with a lot of warmth. I received a free copy of this book from Book Funnel and am voluntarily leaving this review.
This was quite cute. I liked the dynamic between them and they had good chemistry and some sweet moments. I did think the pacing was a bit off, even for an instalove/instalust romance, and a novella; she went from being very resistant to a relationship to suddenly being incredibly flirty and seductive, a switch I found a bit strange. Still, it was a fun read.
The story follow Willa, a young waitress who has a one night stand with billionaire Roman Thorne who believes she’s a guest at the event instead. After loosing her virginity to him she flees but once she finds out she’s pregnant she tries to contact him but he’s the “Thorne King” so she’s unable to get to him. He has tried to track her down since that night but was unable to find her… until she gets a job at one of his companies and he finds out she’s expecting. Then he’s all in to make sure they get their HEA.
This was a quick, sweet read and I only wished it was longer.
