I am so glad that Author Casey Harvell ventured into the New Adult Romance sub-genre! Her books have always intrigued me, but until now, were all just outside my preferred genres. I was beyond thrilled to get the invite for early review of this book!
I LOVED The Wrong Way! Like really LOVE loved the story line! I could totally go for a sequel! I don't know that that's in the cards though...
Like I said in the beginning, the story itself rocked! I was hooked from the get go! My only real issue with the book was that the tense wasn't always consistent, but it didn't take away from the story much. It was more a slight annoyance. If not for that little hang-up, this book would have been a SOLID 5 for me.
The characters and relationships, whether familiar, romantic, or friendly, in The Wrong Way were amazing! They were so real and relatable no matter who you are. Emotions are definitely evoked throughout this book! Serious kudos to Author Casey Harvell for her work here!
2 stars. I often found myself wondering why I was still reading. 1- I found the back stories to the characters interesting, however not well executed. And maybe there was TOO much going on? 2- I found the main love story to be altogether rushed and not believable. maybe thes love story might have worked if the characters had already known each other? Idk that part of the story was a little lost and didn't seem to pick up 3-the book could have used more editing. There were a lot of errors

I had the pleasure of being gifted a copy, and I'm extremely glad. The Wrong Way is a great book from Casey Harvell. She hooks from the very beginning and has you guessing what will happen next. It's unquie and different from her other books. I loved Jordan and think she is strong especially after reading about her sad and heartbreaking past. This is definitely a must read.
*Word of warning, there may be some graphic material in the book that’s not suitable for readers. So just be advised*
One thing that The Wrong Way does is pack a lot of drama and emotional turmoil into the book. Everything from abuse to death to drugs is showcased in this story. As I mentioned earlier, this book may not be suitable for all readers. It’s aimed more towards adults given the material.
Jordan is the heroine of the book, she’s had a tough life, which is explored in great depth during the course of the story. She meets the mysterious, handsome stranger Binx. Certain circumstances draw them together, before long they’re falling in love. Yet, trouble along with Jordan’s insecurities threatens to derail their relationship.
I thought the story of Jordan and Binx’s relationship was good, although it seemed to move a bit fast at times. Of course, no romance is complete without drama and something trying to keep the couple apart. Jordan’s insecurities was enough, in my opinion for the couple to endure. I thought it could’ve gone without the extra turmoil that was involved.
To me there was too much thrown into the story. It got confusing at times, and some of the storylines just completely dropped without any resolution.
What a great book. It's a bit darker at times but amazing. Jordan and Binx are both alone at times and find something they never knew. Strength from each other makes the harder times ok.
