AKA Elaine Rome

Elaine Barbieri wrote over thirty historical novels that have been published worldwide. She was certain young adult readers would enjoy the excitement of historical romance if given a chance, and she welcomed the opportunity to write Miranda and the Warrior for this new audience. Elaine lived in northern New Jersey with her husband and family, and with Harrison, a demanding male who she is sure would be the ultimate hero -- if he weren't a cat.

From the back cover:
In "Something Old", Elaine Barbieri crafts a suspenseful tale of an old grudge - and an old flame - that flare passionately - and dangerously - anew.

In "Something New", can Constance O'Banyon arrange an arrogant bachelor father, a mysterious baby nurse, and a motherless newborn into the portrait of a proper South Carolina clan?

In Evelyn Rogers's "Something Borrowed", a pretty widow and a gambler on the lam borrow identities - and each other - to board a wagon train West to freedom - and bliss.

In "Something Blue", Bobbi Smith deftly engages a debonair cavalry officer and a feisty saloon girl in a moving tale of sexy steel and heart-melting magnolias.

My thoughts and a bit of additional detail.:

This compilation of four historical novellas was better than average, unlike most short story compilation books I've read.

"Something Old" has a couple of Pinkertons. However, if you like the Pinkerton detail and hunt/mystery, it is a weak Pinkerton story. The story takes place in the West.

"Something New" takes place in 1850s Charleston.

"Something Blue" has the hero and heroine from "Renegade's Lady" in it. "Renegade's Lady" is part of the "Women Ahead of Their Times" series by Bobbi Smith. I haven't read "Renegade's Lady", but my feeling is that you don't have to read that book before reading "Something Blue".
