Spicy lessons turn into undeniable chemistry, blurred lines, and broken rules between a reformed cowboy Casanova and the girl he’s secretly pined after for years in this steamy, friends-to-lovers, fake-dating, small-town romance by Ann Einerson.

I wasn’t expecting to bail my little sister’s best friend out of jail.

But what else could I do? I’ve wanted her for far longer than I care to admit. Too bad she thinks I’m a notorious playboy, leaving me firmly in the friend zone. Not that I didn’t earn that reputation once upon a time, but Birdie is the only one I have eyes for now.

Luck is on my side when, after a few too many shots, the girl of my dreams propositions me. Will I be the first one to take her for a roll in the hay and teach her everything I know?

Getting involved with the woman I’ve been yearning for is a bad idea. But it’s one I plan to take for a ride, especially when Birdie becomes my fake girlfriend with benefits.

This might not be my first rodeo, but agreeing to give her spicy lessons blurs the lines between friendship and what lies beyond. If I’m already bending the rules, I’m determined to lasso her heart.

Ann Einerson pulls through every single time. Lassoed Love was so wholesome and I especially loved all the animals (I mean come on - a chicken named Nugget?). I’m a big fan of the chronic illness rep in this one and the emotional vulnerability overall. Walker & Birdie’s romance was everything, starting off with spicy lessons as “friends” to then evolve into the most trusting and caring relationship was weirdly touching to read. I cannot wait for the next book as I ate up all the Charlie and Heath crumbs in this one.

the vibes ™:
- animal rescuer with the cutest animals
- cowboy (& sheriff on the side: talking about best of both worlds)
- found family
- funny banter
- parkinson rep
- spicy lessons

💌 special thanks to the author for allowing me to read this as an arc

Lassoed Love might be my favourite reads by Ann. This one features Walker and Birdie and honestly Walker is everything. He is the local deputy sheriff and works on the family farm and his sister is Birdie’s best friend. Birdie’s whole life is rescuing neglected animals and supporting her family as they deal with a family member’s illness. This fake dating, friends to lovers small town romance with the most entertaining friendship group was a joy to read. I really enjoyed this one and can’t wait for the next book in the series.

“She’s my sun, brightening every corner of my life, and I’ll never take that for granted.”

✔️cowboy romance
✔️friends to lovers
✔️fake dating
✔️spicy lessons
✔️reformed playboy
✔️small town
✔️no 3rd act breakup

This book is so cute, and I didn’t want to put it down! Two of my favorite romance tropes are friends to lovers and any kind of fake relationship, and this book brings them together perfectly. If you love a MMC who falls first and yearns, I think you’ll like this one. Walker (MMC) and Birdie (FMC) have been in each other’s orbit for a long time because she is his sister’s best friend, and though she has placed him firmly in the friend zone, he is hoping she will finally see who he really is and the feelings he has. However, his former playboy ways have tainted everyone’s opinion of him, and he hasn’t been able to shake that reputation though it’s definitely no longer accurate. When Birdie wants someone to teach her how to be in a relationship (in and out of the bedroom) she asks Walker and he is determined to show her how serious he is about her.

Though this is a light story overall, there is some sadness/heaviness due to Birdie’s mom’s declining health. I love that we get to see Birdie and her mom spending time together and watching Gilmore Girls (I watched it with my mom and it’s now a comfort show for me so I love all of the references), and that her relationship with her parents is an important part of the story. Though there is a secret regarding Birdie’s family that could have caused her relationship with Walker to implode in the third act, I appreciate how rational she is and doesn’t jump to the worst case scenario, these characters are adults who act like adults (and that is something I’ve always appreciated about this author’s writing).

Overall there is solid character development, relationship development, and communication here. Walker never fails to defend the woman he loves, and he is just so swoony. The spice is spicy and the consent is abundant. I love the chaotic farm animal rescue that Birdie has at her house, and though it’s not the most convenient thing for her to do, she will never turn away an animal in need. I am a big fan of this author in general, and I am loving this series. I am so excited (after the little hints throughout the story) about the next book!

“𝙂𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙜𝙞𝙧𝙡.”

Lassoed Love by Ann Einerson
5☆

I sat down and didn’t get up because this story had everything. Friends-to-lovers. Fake dating. Yearning so intense it should come with a warning label. And a man who falls first, falls HARD, and stays there…patiently waiting like the emotional support king he is.

Birdie is quirky, soft-hearted, socially awkward in such an endearing way, you instantly fall in love with her adorable unintentionality. But, she’s been carrying a lot—caring for her mom, navigating grief and stress, constantly pouring into everyone else’s cup while hers sits a little empty. So when she FINALLY does something for herself, I was ALL IN. Because Walker.

“𝙃𝙤𝙡𝙮 𝙜𝙪𝙖𝙘𝙖𝙢𝙤𝙡𝙚, 𝙒𝙖𝙡𝙠𝙚𝙧 𝙃𝙖𝙡𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙨𝙡𝙚𝙥𝙩 𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙩 𝙢𝙮 𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙚.”

This man is a walking, talking green flag—cowboy edition. Loyalty, devotion & emotional intelligence, wrapped up in a white t-shirt and Wranglers. Known for being a playboy, he’s secretly been gone for Birdie for years…quietly yearning from the sidelines, respecting their friendship…just waiting, knowing she’s it for him. And when she finally turns to him? Game over.

“𝙇𝙚𝙩’𝙨 𝙜𝙚𝙩 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩.” 𝙃𝙞𝙨 𝙚𝙮𝙚𝙨 𝙡𝙤𝙘𝙠 𝙤𝙣 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙚. “𝙄𝙛 𝙬𝙚’𝙙 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙙𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠𝙨, 𝙨𝙡𝙚𝙚𝙥 𝙬𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙨.”

The fake dating lessons turn into something softer, deeper, and dangerously real. He shows her what it means to be cared for. The small things were devastatingly tender. The man is down bad in the most respectful, heart-melting way. And the way he encourages her to speak her mind and stands beside her— I was unwell.

“𝘼𝙣𝙮 𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙘𝙖𝙣’𝙩 𝙨𝙚𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙝 𝙞𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙢𝙤𝙨𝙩 𝙫𝙪𝙡𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙢𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝙞𝙨𝙣’𝙩 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙝 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚—𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙤𝙙.”

Beyond the romance, the emotional layers hit just as strong. Birdie’s relationship with her mom, especially as she navigates chronic illness, adds a quiet weight to the story that balances the sweetness. Those moments feel real, tender, and handled with care.

The found family, chaotic group chats (died laughing MULTIPLE times), and the friendships that feel lived-in and loud in the best way added beautiful texture, making the story feel warm and full.

“𝙊𝙣𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙨 𝙘𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣: 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝘽𝙞𝙧𝙙𝙞𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙪𝙣𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙩𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙄 𝙬𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙𝙣’𝙩 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝙖 𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙡𝙚 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙘 𝙨𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙙.”

By the end, you’ve got character growth, emotional payoff, and a romance that feels wanted. No unnecessary drama or third act breakups (TYSM), just two people choosing each other in a way that feels honest and real.

*Thank you to Ann Einerson & The Smuthood PR for this arc opportunity.

Love Lassoed is book 2 in the Silver Saddle Ranch Series but can be read as a stand alone. This follows Birdie and Walker Halstead.

Birdie is quirky, a little awkward especially when trying to flirt. She is an animal lover and is running an “unofficial” rescue out of her home. I loved that she wasn’t afraid to go to jail for rescuing animals( even when her dad is the small towns sheriff) Walker is her best friends older brother and he has had feelings for Birdie for a long time but never acted on the since she friend zoned him. She thought he’d never go for someone like her. Tired of always being awkward, and a 25 yr old virgin she decides after getting tipsy to make Walker (someone she trusts) an offer he cannot refuse.. to fake date and give her spicy lessons.

I loved how he took it slow with her, showing her how she should be treated and appreciated. The little things like opening her door, making her special latte, bringing her flowers. He is such a green flag! Aka a cowboy and a sheriffs surety who would literally do anything for Birdie! Swoon! He was head over boots for Birdie.

Birdie gives so much of herself for others whether it’s the animals or caring for her Mom who suffers from Parkinson’s. Ann did a great job with the chronic illness representation in this book. I’m glad she finally gets to have something for herself with Walker. He’s so supportive, more than she even knows.

The girlies group and group texts were hilarious and I loved it!

Perfect amount of spice to plot in my opinion! Walker even brings out some rope 🔥 plenty of spicy scenes and lessons ; ) I love an “Eyes on Me” and “use me” I love the confidence she gains!

𝘽𝙞𝙧𝙙𝙞𝙚 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣 𝙞𝙨 𝙢𝙮 𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙜𝙖𝙢𝙚. 𝙄 𝙢𝙖𝙮 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙄 𝙛𝙪𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙚 𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙩.

There is no third act break up and for the most part they have open communication. The ending was perfect. I really enjoyed this book, it was a quick easy read! I cannot wait for Charlie and Heaths book after the heated exchanges they had in this one! I ate up all those crumbs!

5 ⭐ ⊹ 3 🌶️ ⊹ 342 📖

₊ ⊹❀ Overall: This is easily my favorite Ann Einerson book to date!! I completely loved being back in Bluebell, Montana, with sweet Birdie and adoring Walker! This story is the perfect combination of sweet, spicy, and heartwarming! 🥰

₊ ⊹❀ Bookish Breakdown:
I was so obsessed with this story that I read it in less than 24 hours! It’s got literally everything you could want in a love story. It’s sweet, but also spicy, and makes you feel connected to the characters. There are so many strong relationships in this small town and it really makes the characters come to life.

Birdie is an animal-loving, caretaking, sweet, shy gal. She wants to run her own animal sanctuary and always mothers every rescue animal she takes in (and her friends). She’s been strong and doing everything on her own and hasn’t ever wanted to be a bother to anyone around her. She’s also been interested in exploring a relationship, but is always just so dang awkward... endearing, but awkward. All of these traits combined make her so incredibly lovable.

Walker seems to be the only one who really understands how truly lovable Birdie is. He’s been biding his time, yearning, waiting for his opportunity to make Birdie his. He’s comforting, loving, and does all of those sweet, small gestures that really show he’s attentive, genuine, and so incredibly devoted to her. I loved watching how well Walker loved Birdie. He was so gentle and sweet with her, especially while she was gaining more and more confidence in herself.

Watching Birdie come out of her shell, discussing her feelings with not only Walker, but her friends and family, and seeing healthy communication throughout all of the relationships between the characters really sealed the deal to cement this as a 5-star read. I highly recommend everyone pick this one up!

Sweet MF Cowboy Romance

4.5⭐️ Enjoyably read! This book had low angst, low drama, super cute animals, a nosey neighbour, amazing friends and family, great banter, undeniably chemistry and delicious spice. It was a nice palate cleanser from all the darker books I read.

Birdie has her hands full with taking care of all her rescue animals (some obtained illegally), working and helping to take care of her mom for the last 10 years, who has young-onset Parkinson’s disease (which no one knows about) and has never had the time to pursue a romantic relationship….so she always comes off as a bit too quirky and awkward to most. One drunken night she asks Walker if he will teach her how to flirt, help her be more confident talking to men and to, in her words, how to have s€x. Mostly because she trusts him and partly because of his reputation. He takes her up on her offer, while secretly hoping she’ll become his permanently. Because she doesn’t know the true depths of his feelings for her.

“As much as I hate this fake bulls**t, I intend to treat it like an actual relationship. Do I have any clue what that looks like? Not even a little—but I’m committing to it regardless because Birdie is important to me.”

“I thought it would be easy for Walker and me to pretend we were dating while keeping things strictly physical, with no strings and no consequences. But the undeniable chemistry brewing between us isn’t following the rules, and it’s obvious things have shifted irreversibly. “

There's just something about a man in a cowboy hat and Wranglers that is obsessed with you that hits different. I was so pumped for book 2 in the series. These tropes are a thing of beauty. Friends to Lovers, Best Friend's Brother, Fake Dating and Spicy Lessons? SIGN ME UP.

Birdie is a ray of sunshine. She rescues animals, watches Gilmore Girls with her mom who's medical issues and she's lusting after her best friend's brother. She's also completely awkward and hopeless when it comes to flirting with the opposite sex. In comes Walker, her knight in shining armor who offers to teach her in all things spicy while also worshipping the ground she walks on.

This book was so fun to read. There was small town shenanigans, found family and heart galore. The spicy lessons were hot. And Walker Halsted is one swoony man.

I really enjoyed the plot line with Birdie's mom and dad and how family navigates one of their chronic illnesses as well as grief for what once was normal that will never be again. I loved reading about Birdie and her mom's connection and how hard its been to keep things to herself. Seeing her figure out how to lean on others and ask for help made for a well rounded book.

If you're in the mood for a low angst cowboy romance with swoony men and a fun girl gang, be sure to pick this one up. Ann Einerson always delivers.

“You’re my endgame, Birdie Mae Matterson. Like I said at the lake I’m in this for the long haul. I’ll wait as long as it takes for you to see that I’m all in—today, tomorrow, and always.”

Birdie wants nothing more than to not be a virgin anymore. When she is at a bar and wants a random man to help her with that, Walker is there and scoops in. They agree to fake date to help her in the bedroom. But he has always had feelings for her, but will she also have real feelings?

Walker Halstead is my favorite Ann Einerson man. He has dethroned Jack Sinclair for me. 😍 Wow, Walker is everything I want in a real man for me! 🤍 He is devoted to Birdie and helping her and is open in communicating with her and her father (the sheriff and his boss).
Birdie has a heart for animals and Walker 🤭 Nugget is hilarious! 🐓 I love how Birdie is shy and introverted, but has a very confident side when it comes to Walker and her wants and needs!
I love their relationship 🥹 He treats her with so much love and respect, he shows her how to be treated and what a gentleman does. Literally a relationship that would survive in the real world! 🌎
The friendships in the book are amazing! I love how Briar, Charlie and Wren have Birdie‘s back and Heath is such a softie underneath all that rough exterior! I can’t wait for the next book in this series! I really, really recommend this series! 🤍

3.5 stars. Lassoed Love is the newest cowboy romance in Ann Einerson’s Silver Saddle Ranch series. In this one we get fake dating, spicy lessons, he’s been obsessed with her for a while, and friends to lovers (he’s also her best friend’s brother).

This was a cute, easy romance for Birdie and Walker. He works part time as a deputy sheriff (her dad is the sheriff) and the other half he works with his brother on their family’s ranch. Birdie has never been kissed, let alone any thing else, so she wants to hook up with someone and get it over with already. Walker finds out her plan when she’s out drinking at a bar one night and swoops in to save the day. They quickly ease into a fake dating “teach me” set up which of course leads to real feelings surfacing.

The friend group was fun, the group chats, we already jump in to their friendship so it felt like they were already half in love when the story starts (well he’s already smitten from the start). I liked that she’s into animal rescue, trying to create her own animal sanctuary, and he reads historical romances to her mom. I think overall it was cutesy, low angst, and easy. I personally wanted a bit more depth to their relationship and even friendship. But if you want a hero who says/does everything perfectly, this one’s for you. The next book sounds so good and fun!

I received an ARC, all thoughts in this review are my own.

🔥 Fake Dating
This was an enjoyable read, I read it in a few short hours so it felt like a quick read to me.
Animal lover Birdie is sick of being a virgin and wants to explore herself and others sexually.
During a drunken slur at the bar, she propositions best friends brother Walker into teaching her how to flirt and other fun stuff!
Little does she know that Walker is down so hard for the blonde and is already doing much more behind the scenes for her and her family 🫶
In the background we have some career changes, big dreams, a mother's illness and found family.
Lust and exploration turns to love as the pair navigate feelings and small town gossip 🤭
I enjoyed this one, nice quick easy read with spice. I wish we had a prologue from Walkers POV on when he first laid eyes on his love. I feel that might have set the scene a bit more. At first it came across a little selfish on his side, Birdie genuinely wanted to learn and he was happy to get lucky but the more we learn about Walker, I did change my opinion on him by the end 🥰

I couldn’t be more excited to be back in Bluebell! Lassoed Love was a super sweet friends to lovers, best friends brother, small town romance, sweet and spicy all bundled into one. I devoured it in less then a day.

Birdie, has absolutely no experience with men. She hasn’t dated, she hasn’t even kissed anyone, she is nothing short of awkward around all guys, well all guys except Walker. Walker is the town hottie rancher and part time sheriffs deputy, also Birdie’s best friends older brother, all of those things not only make him unavailable to Birdie, but also she is certain he could never be interested in her. On a night of total desperation, possibly drunk Birdie asks Walker to give her lessons, lessons on dating, and sex and getting more comfortable around men.

Little do they know that they both are harboring secret feelings for each other. How long will they make it before the real feelings take over? Will their fake relationship turn into a real one?

There were so many sweet moments in this book, from the way Walker would do anything for Birdie, to the way the friends show up for each other, to the way Birdie loves and supports her mom. I loved it all and especially loved that there was no 3rd act breakup!! This was such a fun read, I can’t wait for Charlie and Heaths story next!

First of all thank you to Luna Literary for this ARC,

Fake dating ✅
best friends brother ✅
he falls first ✅
virgin heroine fmc ✅
absolutely adorable plot ✅
spicy lessons ✅
friends to lovers ✅
Obsessed cowboy ✅
toys are teammates ✅
Honestly what more could you want.
The whole story was so good and all the little small details just added to the perfection like come on the fmc being named Birdie is so perfect and fitting. Also the chemistry between Birdie and Walker is just ugh. Walker is this ex f boy but for birdie he is just the most loving and sweetest human and is willing to do anything for her. And I just love a reformed fboy who melts for his girl. This was such a cute read and the spice was spicing without being over the top✨ I felt like I was so drawn to Birdie throughout the whole book like I just get her and all her animal saving obsessions she was such a beautifully written character, I mean truly all of the characters were so well written. The story with her mom too. Don even get me started about Birdies mom. Broke my heart, and how Walker played a role with her mom, my heart is no more than just a melted puddle . I never wanted this to be over. I feel like I just sat down to start it and next thing I knew I was over 80% done. Also next book Charlie x Heath???? Yesss please🤭🤩I cannot wait

This was so good! It reminded me exactly why she’s one of my faves. I already loved Wrangled Love, and this one absolutely lived up to it, and honestly might even be my favorite of hers so far.

The friends to lovers and fake dating tropes are done so well here. It never felt forced or overdone, and the way everything builds between Walker and Birdie just works. Their chemistry is seriously electric and I could feel the tension from the start, and it only gets better as their relationship evolves. Walker is SUCH a good book boyfriend too. He is down so bad for Birdie, and I loved that mix of confident cowboy energy with the softness of secretly pining for years. It made all of his choices hit that much harder.

I also really loved Birdie and how she held her own with him. Their dynamic felt natural, fun, and super engaging, especially with the fake dating setup adding that extra layer of tension and the will they/won’t they moments.

There are definitely a few heavier or more emotional moments woven in, which added some depth, but for the most part this is still a really lighthearted, sweet, and super enjoyable read. It’s the kind of book that’s easy to just binge and is so swoony and fun! I am already so excited for the next book in the series!

✨ARC Review✨
Lassoed Love
By Ann Einerson

One thing is certain: life with Birdie is unpredictable, and I wouldn’t trade a single chaotic second.

“Use me—for your pleasure, to live out your every fantasy, to chase the rush of your first orgasm. All. Of. It.”

I’m struck with the realization that he’s become my safe haven—an anchor in a storm, the one I can cling to when my world is unraveling, trusting he’ll keep us both afloat until I’m able to stand on my own again.

Walker and Birdie’s story is such a cute small town romance with some heartbreaking moments wove into the story. Walker has always had a thing for Birdie and as the story goes on we see how much he has done in the background for Birdie without her even knowing. He just wants to be her person and show Birdie that she doesn’t have to do it all on her own. Oh and those spicy lessons between Walker and Birdie are hot! It was so fun being back at Silver Saddle Ranch and seeing our girl gang back together! Really enjoyed this one!

💜🩵ARC Review🩵💜

Thank you Ann Einerson for this ARC of Lassoed Love, I am more than obsessed‼️

If any FMC could be my spirit animal, it would be Birdie🫶 The way she loves is so beautiful and precious and innocent in the best way. How she puts the needs of “her” animals above herself (I mean she refuses to drive her car because rabbits have taken up residence underneath it 😂) and the way she loves BIG and falls boots over head for Walker was perfection.

Walker the knight in dusty wranglers and that cowboy hat, down bad for Birdie for 4 years, 4 YEARS‼️ The way he loved her from afar and the absolute need to make Birdie his girl was perfection‼️ Birdie might have given him all her firsts, but there are some firsts he gave her too, and when he tells her he hasn’t been with anyone from the moment he decided she was his, beautiful🫶

It’s impossible not to love these two, the way they became each others whole world and the love that they share was written in the stars🥹

This was book 2 in the Silver Saddle Ranch Series.

Back to Bluebell Ranch and I was OBSESSED from start to finish 🤠💙

Anne Einerson just gets it when it comes to writing cozy, addictive cowboy romances that still pack an emotional punch—and Lassoed Love delivered everything I wanted and more.

Birdie is sunshine. Truly. She’s kind, selfless, a little chaotic, and so easy to love. The way she shows up for everyone around her (especially with her animals and family) made me admire her so much.

And Walker???
Certified book boyfriend.

He’s patient, protective, and has been quietly in love with Birdie for YEARS. Watching him finally get his moment—and prove he’s more than his past reputation—was EVERYTHING.

The friends-to-lovers + fake dating + spicy lessons combo??
Say less. I was locked in.

The tension, the pining, the soft moments, the way he treats her like she hung the moon… I ate it up. And the fact that there’s no third act breakup?? Immediate win.

Also loved being back at Bluebell Ranch and seeing Briar and Jenson again—it made the whole story feel so full circle and comforting.

This book is soft, spicy, emotional, and full of heart. If you love small-town cowboy romances with yearning, found family, and a man who is absolutely down bad… you need this.

⭐️ 4.5 stars

Thank you to The Smuthood and the author for the ability to read this early as an e-arc! ♥

This book was another great hit in the Silver Saddle Ranch series!! It was fun, both characters were wonderful, there was no miscommunication and all open communication, and in general there were absolutely zero issues with this book.

The MMC was down bad, it has always been you, in love with the FMC, his sister's best friend and boss' daughter. The FMC also had a small attraction to the MMC, but felt like he would never be attracted to her, so she 'friend-zoned' him until one night, when sort of drunk, she makes an offer he can't refuse.

It was a little slow to begin with, but once we got the plot starting, everything flew by. I absolutely enjoyed the family relationships and friendships on all ends, and how we saw them interact and grow.

Sex Stuff:
- 3-4 explicit scenes, generally vanilla, though 'good girl', 'sir' and ropes are introduced.
- Final sex scene has edging.
- FMC is a virgin, but it didn't feel.....gross or icky or sexualized.

Content Warning: FMC's Mom has Parkinson's, and it is a topic well throughout the story.

Birdie has zero experience when it comes to men. No dating, no first kiss…nothing. She's completely awkward around guys...well all guys except Walker.

Walker just happens to be the town's ridiculously attractive rancher, a part-time sheriff's deputy, and her best friend's older brother. Basically, he's off-limits in every possible way and Birdie is convinced he'd never look at her like that anyway.

But one slightly desperate and maybe a little drunk night changes everything when Birdie asks Walker for lessons in dating, confidence, and yes even sexy time.

Now there’s a problem and that is a secret that they are both keeping. Birdie has had feelings for Walker for a long time and she’s scared to admit it but what she doesn’t know is that Walker is head over heels in love with her and would do absolutely anything for her.

We also get the wonderful chicken names Nugget who likes to try and hatch the strangest things!!

This book ahas some really great tropes:

Best friends brother
Spicy lessons
Virgin FMC
Former playboy MMC
Fake Dating
Rancher

Can’t wait to read the next one in the series!!

I can 100% relate with Birdie on wanting to rescue every single animal she knows is being mistreated. I would spend JAIL time for animals and trying to “kidnap” them.

Walker “No strings attached” but yearning over Birdie has me kicking my FEET! The spicy lessons, friends to lovers, etc. Everything is absolutely perfect about this book.

The chronic illness rep is also absolutely amazing. We need more books that have rep in, so this being added was just amazing.

Also the friendship between the 3 girls just tugs at my heartstrings so bad, I YEARN for a group of friends like them. The friendship is probably one of my favorite things about this book series!

Long story short… anything that Ann writes I will read! She could write on a piece of toilet paper and I will snatch it up so fast haha, I’m thankful for the chance to read this book! I can’t wait for everyone to finally be able to read this book!!

"Birdie Matterson is my end game. I may have been her first, but I fully intend to be her last." - Lassoed Love, by Ann Einerson

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 || 🌶🌶🌶🌶

Lassoed Love was SO fun that I devoured it in one sitting. If you like small town romance, super hot possessive cowboys, a group chat with an unhinged name, and spice that will have you absolutely kicking your feet, then this is for you. Walker might be the perfect man. Birdie might be the perfect girl. The town they live in might be the perfect town - and it is honestly the perfect read for escaping reality. It has all the best tropes and they are done so well and in such a fun way, that I could read ten of these books and not get bored.

You've got:
🥵 He's obsessed with her.
❤️ Fake dating
👩‍👧‍👧BFF's brother
🏠 Small town
💖 Friends to lovers
🌶Spicy lessons

Seriously, the chemistry between these two is undeniable, the dual POV is fun, and there is just nothing not to like about this book. Add it to your tbr now!

💙 If a cowboy has been secretly in love with you for years and offers “lessons”… you don’t say no.

✨ ARC Review ✨
If I wasn’t already in my cowboy era, Walker would’ve put me there instantly. I don’t remember the last time I fell this hard for an MMC 💙

What starts as fake dating quickly turns into something so much more. Birdie is an experience in the best way, and Walker has been pining for her for years. When they come up with a plan to give her some “lessons”… well, you can imagine those lessons turn very 🔥🌶️🌶️🌶️

I absolutely devoured this book. From the hilarious animal moments to the swoony romance and steamy tension, it had me hooked from start to finish.

Ann Einerson has officially become one of my “if she writes it, I read it” authors. This story delivered everything—humor, heart, family moments, and a romance that just hits right.
Make sure to add Lassoed Love to your list—it releases March 26! 🤠📚

Lassoed Love
Silver Saddle Ranch Book 2
Written by Ann Einerson

A cowboy who is obsessed with his sister's best friend and has been pining for her until he can work up the courage to make her his. Birdie also has a crush on Walker but thinks he's not available because he's known to be a play boy and her best friend's brother. That is until one night Birdie gives Walker the perfect chance to show that he is the only man she will need. Things are about to get real spicy!

I love every second of this book! From the confident cowboy Walker to the girl he can't get enough of, Birdie the animal rescuer and the awkward flirt. I'm swooning over Walker; he is the perfect book boyfriend.

Ann never disappoints with her rom coms and the same can be said for her Cowboy romances, I'm obsessed. If Ann writes it I will read it.

4.75⭐️ I am so excited to be back in the Silver Saddle Ranch world. Ann absolutely delivered on Walker and Birdie's story. These two together are wholesome and so funny. Their banter will have you laughing out loud right from the beginning. Walker has been pining after Birdie and when she asks him for spicy lessons he takes it as his opportunity to get her to fall in love with him. Birdie is carefree and so fun. Walker is broody and protective of the ones that he loves. I loved the way their friendship evolved through the spicy lessons and they became more. Walker truly is the man and he had me smitten from the start. He is nothing but patient, kind and respectful of Birdie and we love that in a man. Of course the girls didn't disappoint with their amazing friendship and always having each other's backs. Especially when it comes to Birdie and her animal rescues. And the set up for the next book has me so giddy. I already can't wait for more and highly recommend this series if you love small town romances!

𝙇𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙤𝙚𝙙 𝙇𝙤𝙫𝙚 quickly roped me in (pun intended 🤪). The FMC Birdie is inexperienced, quirky, and a little chaotic (but in the best ways). Then there’s Walker. He is the ultimate swoony MMC. He’s a reformed playboy who has been secretly pining for his sister’s best friend for years. When Birdie propositions Walker to "teach her," he counters with a fake dating arrangement. While the setup is "fake," Walker is playing for keeps.

I loved that the characters actually talk to each other! No unnecessary or forced drama here. The small town setting and animal shenanigans made this a quick and easy read. Dont let the cute cover fool though! You'll definitely need a Kleenex or two. This packs a surprising emotional punch! I'm really excited for the next installment! Heath and Charlie had me giggling hard.

Lassoed Love by Ann Einerson

I was so excited to head back to Bluebell, Montana for book 2 in the Silver Saddle Ranch series.

Walker is the swoony small-town sheriff and cowboy head over heels for his little sister's best friend and local animal stealer rescuer, Birdie who propositions him to teach her a thing or two about dating.

This book is as cute as the cover! What started as "teach me" turned "it's always been you" and I loved it. It was Birdie's world and Walker was just living it in. The way he went along with all of her shenanigans and worked quietly in the background to clean up her messes was just the sweetest. He calls her "Troublemaker" and it's just the cutest darn thing ever. Their chemistry is undeniable and it is impossible not to love these two.

Birdie spends her days devoted to two things: her beloved animals and caring for her sick mother. When she decides it’s finally time to explore the more intimate side of life, there is only one person she trusts to guide her—the local deputy and ranch hand, Walker.

While Walker has been pining for Birdie from afar, his history as a notorious heartbreaker makes her hesitant to believe he’s looking for anything permanent. Seizing the chance to prove himself, Walker proposes a "fake dating" arrangement to help her navigate her new experiences.

Under the guise of their deal, Walker’s true colors shine through. He becomes her fiercest protector, finding any reason to drop by her workplace and using his influence to shield her during her more daring animal rights missions. His "obsession" is clear to everyone but Birdie—until the facade finally cracks. Once they both confess that their feelings are entirely real, they ride off into their own sunset together.
