The idyllic town of Cedarwick is mighty special ,visit quick. It is home to Eliza Sweet who has invented some really neat. It’s sweet as candy … well that’s what it is but it’s handy for a bit of magic too because of what one bite can do. Yes even crumbs ,someone succumbs to its charms . The Midnight Rose isn’t just handy candy ,oh no ,it also transforms lives so. With Whiskers the cat by her side she endeavours to learn of darkest secrets that have started to reside in their town and see them gone to lift the frown that’s been placed instead of a smile for a while.. with the magic changing they must really delve into the mystery and chaos and resume calm and a soothing balm on the town once more. Great writing , a cute storyline and compelling storytelling , it’s sublime reading by Dana Sharp. Looking forward to my next read from this fine author

A charming read that will keep you entertained. The journey the characters traveled shows you what can be done when people support each other. I enjoyed it and am looking forward to the next book in the series.

Have a tissue handy and allow two days (or a very long one) for this contemporary, small-town, good-vs-evil, cozy-mystery spiritual adventure that begins in Cedarwick in the spring when Eliza Sweet perfects her grandmother's recipe for magical Midnight Rose candy.

loved it !! Cedarwick... love Eliza and Sir Whiskers... this is their mystery to solve... the Midnight Rose is a sweet and magical dessert but, something or someone is changing the magic .. and Eliza is going to find out... so good !!!.

I liked the story at first and the characters were well-written. I would have liked the story much more if it had been much shorter as there was a lot of repetition and some things were dwelt on way too much. I found myself scanning the last 10 or so pages just to get through it. The premise for the story is good, I received a copy of the book and this is my honest review.
