The first book in The Stolen Romance series trilogy. An insta-lust, male-male, forced proximity, spicy, contemporary, rockstar romance with all of the drama, all of the feels, and ending on a nail-biting cliff-hanger... Loosely inspired by a true story.
Stolen Moments comes complete with its own original songs , which can be heard in the audiobook version, or found by searching Alexander Morgan on your preferred music platform (Spotify, Apple, YouTube etc).
Synopsis
Alexander Morgan stands at the pinnacle of pop superstardom—desired by millions, envied by all. But behind the dazzling lights and deafening applause lies a man haunted by secrets. To the world, he's flawless, untouchable. In truth, he's barely holding on.
Christopher Foster, back in London for his sister’s wedding, has his own ghosts to bury. He never expected to collide with Alexander’s turbulent orbit—nor to stir something in the superstar that refuses to stay hidden. As sparks fly and old wounds reopen, the carefully constructed world Alexander lives in begins to fracture under the weight of a passion too fierce to deny.
With the world clamouring for a piece of Alexander, the stolen moments he shares with Christopher become his only escape from the suffocating grip of fame. But in a world where image is everything and the spotlight never fades, can something real survive?
A.B. Jackson is the pen name of Jack Williamson, a former music industry executive who spent over two decades living life backstage, touring the globe with chart-topping superstars and navigating the wild, unpredictable rhythms of fame.
After years immersed in the spotlight’s shadows, he traded stadiums and arenas for introspection, pivoting into a powerful second act as an author, songwriter, and practicing psychotherapist. Blending sharp insight with raw emotional truth, Jackson brings a unique voice to contemporary fiction. Stolen Moments; the first book in the Stolen Romance trilogy marks his electrifying debut as a novelist.
While this is his first foray into fiction, he’s no stranger to storytelling: under his real name, Jack Williamson, he authored two best-selling non-fiction titles, The Shitty Committee and Maybe You’re the Problem—both praised for their bold honesty and emotional depth.
Another enjoyable m4m romance with grit, drama, and the price of fame. As I often say, and now I begin to wonder more, is this for real? Love the story, but I struggle to accept the way people talk to each other in these books. I am quite sarcastic but only with those I know and love. I'd never say the things I say to my family and friends (meaning be witty and sarcastic when they do something funny, or I do something dumb). But in the m4m romances I've come to adore, they do it with strangers too. I'd feel so guilty! And then there's the sex - almost always so perfect. Ha.... reality vs. fantasy, I suppose. Some of us readers prefer one over other. But I say all that acknowledging I really like this book and the characters. They have charm and an obnoxious personality unlike some where it's all rudeness. Adorable, funny, and filled with surprising scenes. I fell for them as a couple, but fate intervened in the end and left us stranded. Will they or won't they... get together, that is. You'll have to read book 2 in the series. :)
The only characters that didn't annoy me 90% of the time were Imani, the hotel receptionist, and Rob, the bodyguard. That should tell you enough. But in all seriousness, I did not enjoy this book at all. If you set out to talk about addiction and trauma the least you can do is treat it well, and I can't overlook how none of it was explored at all here. You can argue that's because this is a trilogy(yes, I didn't have a clue about that, quite fun realizing the last line was a cliffhanger) but I say that this is no excuse because in more than 300 pages we could have had SOME development. Also, so much shit that bothered me like the way Alexander dismissed his sober mentor because she has blue hair and that doesn't show credibility?!? And that bachelorette party, I thought we had left that shit behind as a society? And his best friend is the worst possible gay caricature character I've seen in a while. So yeah. I don't like this book. The only saving grace is the music industry thing because I like to read about it but not enough to put on with whatever this was.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with an advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review. This book was a good palette cleanser after reading manacled but unfortunately it was nothing special. The characters with pretty one sided and both had main character trait that their entire personality was based upon. The book also had the same events happening in different ways a lot so it got kind of boring in the middle. The last 20% carried the book in my opinion and I want to read the second one for sure. This was definitely a good start and the series has a lot of room for growth!
welllllll...that did & didn't take the turn i expected....like of course. of course this happened to alex...but then at the same time...alex WHAT THE FUCK...WHY ARE YOU LETTING THEM DO THIS TO YOU??? ughhhh this is like the biggest miscommun
This book left me all up in my feels. An emotional rollercoaster. Yes, it ends on a cliffhanger, but don't let that stop you from reading this book.
The insta-lust hooked me in straight away, as rockstars are known for their one-night stands and that's what I expect from a rockstar romance book. The emotional depth of the characters especially all that Alexander (the rockstar) has to contend with, and the pressures they both faced, whilst navigating a relationship made me feel for both of them too.
The author has also made songs for the book too, which only adds to the whole world building here and I can't wait for book two in the series.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC in exhance for an honest review.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me an advanced readers copy of Stolen Moments by A.B. Jackson. First off, I’m so glad that I read some of the reviews first so I went in knowing that this is a trilogy and that Stolen Moments does end in a cliffhanger and what a cliffhanger it is. I am dying for the next book, Stolen Hearts, but unfortunately have to wait until July. I loved this story and thought that Alex and Chris were such a cute couple. They had immediate chemistry but also complicated pasts that lead to some toxic issues in their brief, but passionate, time together. Alex is a musician that is in London for a 7 night gig while Chris is traveling for his sister’s wedding. They just happen to be staying in the same hotel which is where 99% of the book takes place. Alex is plagued by the death of his past lover while Chris is dealing with difficult family dynamics, especially after the death of his father. The book shows how these two are managing, often poorly, all the challenges that come their way while also trying to find their happy ending. There are two characters, Paul and Connie… listen, if you’ve read the book you will understand how angry these two make me. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and I’m excited to see where the story goes from here. I rate this book 4.5⭐️, rounding up to 5 for Goodreads. My only issue with the book are some of the miscommunication moments and Alex got on my nerves. I don’t want to give any spoilers but he’s an adult that can act very childlike at times. Would definitely recommend reading this when released!
Oh man, what a cliffhanger!!! That will be my only “spoiler” because I somehow didn’t realize this was a trilogy until the end 😂 I really enjoyed this book for a few reasons, though there were a few issues I had that kept me from giving it a 5 star rating.
Alexander and Christopher have two very different backgrounds. Alex’s life is made extremely challenging due to his celebrity status and still being closeted, and Chris is still struggling with a shitty past trauma forced on him from idiotic parents. But honestly, those are at least semi-realistic things queer people have to deal with even now. I loved Rob, Kelly, and Daniel as side characters, and I enjoyed some of the inner monologuing that depicted anxiety pretty realistically imo. I struggled with Paul (which you’re obviously supposed to) and hated that he had so much influence on Alex, and screw Connie while you’re at it, too. They were so incredibly unlikeable that I don’t understand how they’re still around. On top of that, I hated the ending, but that’s mainly because I didn’t realize it would be a trilogy and I thought it might tie up nice and tidy with a happily ever after.
I will definitely be continuing this series, though I’m mad I have to wait for the second book 😂😂 I really liked this book and suggest others dive into their world…while knowing the end is a cliffhanger. Can’t wait to see where this story goes and what else this author writes!
Thanks to NetGalley and Jackal Publishing for this ARC.
In my first book in stolen romance series we get a very frustrating cliffhanger. If knew ahead of time I would never have asked for the ARC to review. Part of my frustration comes from the release date of Stolen Hearts isn’t until July 30, 2026. While I liked stolen moments cliffhangers are a huge red flag! The author writes with so much intensity and emotion pulled from each book it’s felt page after page. Some are quick witted story lines are so perfect and lets you believe you have a front row seat. So being able to read this love story didn’t disappoint. The authors ability to have two separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know you’re 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.
"See you downstairs, fanboy." I say, and wink as he heads to the door. "Just don't go writing any more songs about me," he laughs back.
Before I get into my review of “Stolen Moments”, I’d like to thank NetGalley and Jackal Entertainment Publishing for the early eARC.
After a four month reading slump, this was definitely the book I needed to get me back into reading! Stolen Moments displays the ups and downs of the music industry and the brutal nature of trying to have a private life while living in the public eye. This book is definitely for lovers of the Disney Channel movie “Starstruck”!
I absolutely adored both Alexander and Christopher as characters, I truthfully could read three more books about them and never get bored. The plot was well written and kept me hooked and entertained from the first page!
This was my first time reading A.B. Jackson and I very quickly fell in love with his writing style. I cannot wait to read more from this author because I am hooked.
This was the perfect book to end 2025 with and I can happily say I am giving it five stars!
Stolen Moments is an easy book to move through; the writing flows well, and I was three-quarters of the way in before I realised how far I’d got. The dialogue is a real strength; sharp, occasionally funny, and effective at establishing the dynamic between the two main characters.
The pacing, however, works against the story. The plot moves quickly, and as a result the characters and relationships feel under-developed. The book also introduces some complex and challenging themes, but the speed at which everything progresses means these elements aren’t explored with the depth they deserve.
The ending lands on a cliffhanger that achieves exactly what it sets out to do: it leaves you wanting more, though with a degree of frustration.
Despite the shortcomings, I’ll be continuing with book two. There’s enough promise here to warrant seeing where the story goes next.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Stolen Moments is a MM romance between an american pop star and a normal british guy. It is the first book of a trilogy.
In town for his sister's wedding, Christopher expected to spend the 10 days attenting wedding related events and playing buffer between his sister and their mother. He didn't expect to run into international pop star Alexander Morgan, who happens to be staying in the room next door to him at the hotel.
It was definitely more insta-lust than I usually like but it had to be for the sake of the story. They are both in town for 10 days so their relationship had to progress quickly.
I really enjoyed this book. The whole popstar aspect made me feel like I was back in highschool reading fanfics in the best way. We follow Alexander on his day to day of a week filled with shows, interviews and press tour. That mixed with the secret romance/forbidden aspect was really entertaining.
Also, my fault for not knowing this will be a trilogy because I was not expecting to be left on a cliff hanger!!!
Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book!
If Taylor Swift wrote rockstar romances, this book would be it!
Packed full of drama, insta-lust and emotional depth, this book isn't initially what I'd go for in a romance book, but it ended up being so much more. What's even more amazing about this book is that it has a load of original songs that the author has recorded and released too, which allowed me to immerse myself in the world even more.
Now, if you aren't into cliffhangers for your romance series books, then maybe give this a skip, but if you are invested in great story-telling, with forced proximity, insta-lust, strangers-to-lovers tropes, then this book is for you!
Thank you NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Disclaimer: this is not a contained story and does end on a cliffhanger. Part of a trilogy according to the blurb at the end of the book. That being said I really did enjoy this story, I just wish that was a little more evident from the cover and description. I can see a lot of people being blindsided by that (me included)
This was actually a really cute romance story. Very easy to read and the romance was really sweet. Pop star Alex meets visiting Christopher who is staying at the same hotel for his sisters wedding, but Alex must maintain that he is available, and consequently straight, for his largely young female fan base.
I think character depictions are really well done. Both characters seem really mature about the limitations they face when dating someone famous. The struggles Alex faces being famous are not sugar coated, alcohol and alcoholism are featured heavily in this story.
There is instalust in this if that isn’t for you, just a heads up. Being a strangers to lovers type story I guess that is inevitable though. The banter between the characters is great I just wish there was more of it. There is actually a lot of side characters and side plots but some are more pronounced and fleshed out than others.
I’m invested enough in their story and will be checking out the next book.
Thank you to NetGalley and the author/publisher for an early copy of this title in exchange for an honest review.
Story: 3/5 Spice: Low (# of scenes, descriptions are low and it happens off screen a lot) Characters: 4/5 -ˏˋ⋆⋆ˊˎ- Overall reco: Where do I start with this book? The Story: I have a questionable dislike of the celebrity trope, I like the idea of it but haven't really found it well executed yet. This one felt, ok. I often end up being annoyed about how the celebrity is infantilized or that the normal "woe is me" stuff doesn't hold up when you have money for therapy.. but that is a rant for another day. This book takes place over about a 12 day period, and it honestly felt more like months. So much shit happens in this book and, at the same time, absolutely nothing. Well. Not nothing, but it felt like a fire a minute. It honestly felt like every 'day' that happened in the book was a month of things. So many little things and I often found myself asking out loud if all of this even matters. There all these little things, little notes I have about what this little thing and that little thing, and if those don't get wrapped up I'll be fucking annoyed. BUT! I knew this book ended on a cliffhanger, so I was prepared for something, I was not prepared for that ending.
Spice: Spice sceneries were underwhelming, which was surprising. They were not heavily detailed and more felt like clinical breakdowns. I didn't feel the emotion behind them and it sort of colored them. Was I supposed to feel like it was just throw away spice? There was one specific scene that happened and I had to reread the pages before because the characters went from having like a moment so suddenly penetration. It happened almost twice. I'm also disappointed in the little lack of lube. Spit isn't lube unless this is a different kind of book. Hardly any prep either, which is kind of crazy for a 300+ page book.
The Characters: I really don't like Alex. If he's supposed to be written the way he is, then hats off. If I'm supposed to like him, then I missed the boat. He's a jerk, and yeah, there are reasons for it, but he's blind to a lot of things and he hides behind a lot of bs excuses. Chris was better, but not by much. They both have their issues, and not just the romance issues. It very much felt like we glossed over the significant amount of baggage and trauma these two idiots are carrying around. I'm hoping that it gets addressed and examined a little better in the second novel, cuz right now it very much feels like it was just dropped in and then ignored, even though its clear these two boys are messes and its affecting the world around them. Still, a lot of that felt like it was happening TO them and not BECAUSE of the things they did or the abuse that they put up with because of the people around them.
(Other Notes) The book took forever to get going, but I read it at a good clip and when I found my groove I enjoyed it. I want to say that there is potential here, but a lot of it hinges on how this story wraps up. The story is 4 stars right now based on the sheer potential I see in the story. Spoiler tag for the insane rant I have about potential:
This are an ARC from Book Sirens, Thank you to AB Jackson and Book Sirens for the advanced copy in return for a fair review
Stolen Moments (Book 1 of The Stolen Romance series) by A.B. Jackson turned out to be the perfect way to close out my 2025 reading year—and I mean that literally. I started this ARC on my flight from the US to London and finished it on the Tube ride back to my flat. I didn’t want to put it down, didn’t care how tired I was, and absolutely refused to wait until the next day. That alone should tell you how hard this book hooked me.
This high-emotion MM contemporary romance blends rockstar glamour with secret passion and very real personal stakes. Alexander Morgan is a world-famous pop star—polished, adored, and tightly controlled—while hiding a truth his career simply can’t survive. Enter Christopher Foster, in London for his sister’s wedding and carrying baggage of his own. Their connection is immediate, charged, and unapologetic. No meet-cute. No slow circling. They meet, they feel it, and the book owns that choice.
What really sets Stolen Moments apart is how authentic it feels. This is clearly written by a gay man, and again—that’s a compliment. Attraction comes first, and it’s messy, physical, and real. One of my favorite scenes isn’t even a big dramatic moment, but a quiet one: Alexander and Christopher lying in bed after sex, casually asking each other who they are and what they do for a living. That kind of intimacy—earned through touch before vulnerability—felt so spot-on and deeply human.
The last 60 pages? Absolute chaos (the good kind). I told myself I’d stop. I lied to myself. Next thing I knew, it was 3 a.m. and I was staring down a cliffhanger. Am I happy about that? Not exactly. But knowing this is the first book in a trilogy softened the blow—though I did initially hope these might be standalones in a shared world. Either way, I am fully invested now and desperately hoping we get a lot more Alexander-and-Christopher time going forward.
If I have one gripe, it’s that the relationship moves fast—maybe a little too fast. Falling in love that quickly stretches belief, even with the strong chemistry. That said, the book does acknowledge uncertainty, raising the question of whether this is proximity and fascination morphing into something deeper… or something more fragile.
As someone who’s worked in the entertainment industry, I found Alexander’s situation painfully accurate. It’s frustrating—and sad—that people still feel forced to hide who they are to keep a career machine running, especially when so many other livelihoods depend on that illusion. The book handles that tension thoughtfully, without sugarcoating it.
Bonus points for the side characters, especially Rob and Christopher’s sister Kelly, who bring warmth and grounding energy to an already emotionally charged story.
And finally—serious props to the author for going above and beyond the page. A.B. Jackson has written and recorded music as Alexander, available on Spotify, and it genuinely helps bring this world to life. Listening to “Alexander” while reading added another layer of immersion that felt both ambitious and incredibly effective.
Spicy, emotional, addictive, and impossible to put down, Stolen Moments was a fantastic final read of 2025—and a reminder of why I love this genre so much. Cliffhanger and all, I’ll be first in line for book two.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me an advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review.
Like other reviewers mentioned, I missed that Stolen Moments is book 1 of 3 in a series and is not a complete story. While I was a bit disappointed by the cliffhanger, I certainly want to know what happens next for Christopher and Alex.
Christopher and Alex meet in a London hotel. Christopher is visiting London for his sister’s wedding festivities, while Alex is there on a sold-out tour stop. Their interactions are refreshingly vulnerable as their connection deepens. They navigate toxic relationships, traumatic pasts, and hopeful futures in the short time they spend together. I appreciated that the story explored not only their romance, but also the complexity of circumstances that are part of their world. This brought some depth to this story that is often missing in romance novels. There was a good mix of likable supporting characters and some who are unlikable, but not to the point of being villainous caricatures.
I think it is really creative for the author to include the interactive features available with this book – there is an audio clip on the author’s website, and Alex’s hit song, My Anchor, is available on music streaming platforms. The website states that more of Alex’s songs mentioned in this book will also be released. I’m used to books having PDFs of maps or maybe recipes, but listening to Alex’s music on my music streaming service definitely made this book a unique experience for me.
This was a fun, steamy read. I am a bit gutted that I’ll have to wait for the rest of the series, but I’ll be eager to read what happens next.
Thanks to NetGalley and Jackal Publishing for this ARC.
This book was perfect in so many different ways. The characters weren't 2D they weren't flat they actually had depth, they actually had a story. The chemistry between these two characters was amazing and some of the best I've read in a while. So congratulations A. B. Jackson, you have written one of my favourite books this year.
I refuse to believe this is a debut novel. I know the author has done non fiction before, but for their first foray into contemporary romance, this is a banger of a story. I could not put it down. I don’t realise it was the start of a series and now I’m in for a good six month book hangover waiting for the next one. But if it’s anything like the first it will be worth it.
This is an amazing story and now I’m off to read the prequel novella and probably have my heart broken all over again. While listening to the songs on Spotify on repeat..
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Stolen Moments has most certainly stolen my heart but the cliffhanger at the end was diabolical. Can't wait to see how Alexander and Christopher handle the repercussions of everything that happened at the end of book. Really looking forward to the sequel!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I loved the start of this book and was immediately pulled in. I absolutely love Alex and Christopher and can't wait to read the next book to see how their story continues.
Absolutely addicted to this book! I was lucky enough to read the ARC and could not put it down! I binged the whole thing in a single day!
MM love story with high stakes, hidden romance, and secrets on both sides. What more could you want? This book hooked me from the beginning, just like a great banger of a song! I became invested in these characters, loved these characters, cried and cheered for these characters like I was one of them. I absolutely cannot wait for the second one!
A.B. Jackson has a unique way of writing that is rare…it makes the reader forget they are reading and feels like watching a movie. I would not be at all surprised if this series becomes a movie. If you are a fan of Red, White and Royal Blue, you will fall in love all over again with Alexander and Christopher in Stolen Moments!
I liked this a lot but I felt like it leaned a little too heavily on drama, tragic backstories, etc. Even though it’s the author’s first fiction book, you can tell he’s written before and the writing made this super readable. What I appreciated most was how accurate most the music industry side of things felt. I used to work in live music and my partner tours with artists at Alexander’s level so I usually get pulled out of musician romances because the details are so off. Even having something as simple as having Christopher pick up his passes at will call made me sigh in relief.
The romance was very insta-lovey, which I don’t always mind, but it felt extra rushed knowing this is a trilogy. I would’ve loved a slower build but I still enjoyed getting to know the characters and watching their relationship develop, and I’m sure the backstory drama will play a bigger role later on. I just hope they’re not broken up for most of book two, but either way, I’ll definitely keep reading the series!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Thank you so much to NetGalley and A. B. Jackson for the ARC
“Stolen Moments” is the first book in the “Stolen Romance” series where we follow Alexander Morgan, a popstar who is barely making it through a tour and Christopher Foster, a British marketing specialist, who’s back in the country for his sister’s wedding. Alexander lives surrounded by his team, and no one can come near him, so when his hotel neighbor, Christopher, who has no idea who he is, starts to see Alex beyond the star and the man, walls start to tear down.
Both Alexander and Christopher are amazing characters, both with their own demons, but I believe Alexander’s path is more complicated. He has a hard time trusting people, but with Christopher he knows he doesn’t care about the fame. Christopher is actually a private person, and he doesn’t care about Alex as a phenomenon, he just sees someone he really cares about. Alexander, the man, is fun, caring and really sweet.
Christopher has an amazing sense of humour, even though he’s riddled with guilt over past issues in his family, Christopher deals with his emotions through humour. While not healthy, it’s a coping mechanism better than Alex’s. Alex tends to turn to alcohol and spirals a lot since he’s always surrounded by his team, who treat him as a money grab and not really as Alex, the person. This is one of the reasons why I say Alex’s path is more turbulent. Alex has a lot of wages to pay for his team, he feels like he has to take care of others, while only his parents and Christopher see him as someone who needs what any sane person does after a long tour: a break. It was very heartwarming to see Alex’s parents being understanding of his feelings and his thoughts. Alex needs someone like them in his life to make sure he doesn’t get burned out, since he’s really concerned for others’ well-being way above himself.
“Stolen Moments” finishes with a cliffhanger, and it will break your heart reading Alex and Christopher’s love story towards a happy ending. Alex makes a lot of mistakes, but he also experiences love and kindness for the first time in years, so while the road to their HEA is not easy, I’m hoping Alex will be able to live the life he always wanted and that Christopher can also fight his demons on the second book of the series.
"By all means, take as long as you need. I just love watching things age in real time." 💚
I received an ARC copy of Stolen Moments from NetGalley and I am so glad I picked it up. Let me start by saying that I am not a big fan of cliffhangers, so I was a little bit mad that I didn’t know it would end like that. Add in the fact that the website link for part of the cliffhanger didn’t work for me and yes, I was even more frustrated 🤦🏼♀️. But honestly, setting that aside, this was such an enjoyable and emotional read.
This book has the added intrigue of being based on a true story, and I found myself reading between the lines trying to figure out who might be who. That layer made the whole experience feel even more real and raw. You know I love an MM romance, and this one absolutely delivered. Alexander and Christopher pulled me straight into their world, and by the end they had claimed a little piece of my heart. The tenderness of their connection, the stolen moments between them, and the constant push and pull of their circumstances gave the story so much emotional weight.
I really appreciated how the book explored not just their romance but also the complexity of secrecy, longing and societal expectations. It’s not just a love story, it’s about the risks we take for love and the heartbreak that sometimes comes with it. The pacing was well done, the chemistry between the leads was undeniable, and the writing had a quiet intensity that kept me engaged throughout.
Yes, I’m impatient now and desperate for book two because I need to know what happens next. My heart is still breaking for both Alexander and Christopher and I hope their story gets the resolution they deserve. This is one of those romances that lingers in your thoughts long after you’ve finished, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys heartfelt MM stories.

Stolen Moments by A. B. Jackson was a fun and quick read. It was interesting to read a pop star romance that was written by someone who worked in the industry and therefore had insight to what happens behind the curtains. However, for me personally there could‘ve been a lot more tension and drama what with the relationship needing to stay secret. It would’ve been much more exciting if there had been instances in which someone was about to find out about the two of them. As such I never found myself being gripped by suspense about all that that would entail. Overall the stakes felt very low since Alexander didn’t even appear to be happy with his pop stardom. Despite all that, I liked reading this book and found myself making time to keep reading it. Given the opportunity, I would read the second part!
Alex our rock star just trying to live life & Chris our Englishman who moved to L.A to live life away from his past..
These two live in the same state but meet across the pond! Is it meant to be or will it all fall into nothing?
This book omg I felt for both MCs Alex for just the life he lives and the people who surround him just annoyed me well not everyone But Paul & Connie NO THANK YOU!
Chris’s MOM is someone I just want to throw out but the story of these two falling for each other was swoon worthy I want to see more and where this story goes so the next book is a must because that ending no no can’t be it and the Voice mail. Oh these boys need happiness
Thanks to Siren for the ARC on this live reading a book that pulls me in

Listen, I tried. I do not like the characters. In fact I find most people insufferable. Not for me. The writing wasn't bad though. You can tell he's written previously, so no points taken for the writing.
First off, all I can say is wow. Reading other reviews, I wasn’t sure what to expect from ‘Stolen Moments’ but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with a love story that gives the perfect balance between romance and steaminess.
Let me 1st talk about Alex, the way the story explores his personal struggles from his issues with alcohol to the day-to-day issues he faces with the celebrity of his life in conjunction with his being in closet was so well written and really pulled on the heart strings. It shows a true vulnerability with him that really deepens his character and really helps to build the relationship with the character, so you really start to feel for them and the pain they’re feeling.
Now, let’s not forget Christopher, the sarcastic and witty Brit with the heart of gold and a true well of love he’s holding back to not get hurt again. His humour is very British and the author captures the sarcastic humour of the British perfectly. This is especially apparent with the interactions between Christoper and his best friend Stephen. Their conversations over drinks are almost identical to those I’ve had with own friends.
The characters in this book are written so well they truly feel real, and this is really help by the real soundtrack that accompanies the book. I’ve listened to ‘My Anchor’ around 100 times on Spotify at this point. It’s a great touch that adds serious realism to the book and gives a great new option to interact with the book and story, so when they mention the song in the story you know exactly what they’re talking about.
I’ve never read a book that within the space of 2 chapters has me swooning at the romance, rock hard at the steamy scenes and then crying my eyes out of the vulnerability and pain of the characters.
I can only rate this book a 5 out of 5 and will eagerly be looking out for the sequels. Thank you so much to A.B Jackson and Jackal Publishing for letting me read this ARC, I really appreciate the introduction to what will now become one of my favourite reads.
(Disclaimer: I received this book as an ARC for free via NetGalley. All opinions expressed are my own.)
I received an ARC from NetGallery, but my opinions are my own. I have a lot of mixed feelings on this one. I knew it was the first book of the series and saw comments about it ending with a cliffhanger once I started, which I wasn't too happy with, but I felt like, overall, it would be fine. Spoiler alert, it wasn't, but I'll explain that towards the end without spoiling the actual cliffhanger. Admittedly, this is not a book I normally would have gravitated towards because I know musician/famous person romance is not a genre I typically enjoy. I was drawn into the cover and figured it sounded like an interesting book, so I'd give it a shot. The author had sent a link to music that was supposed to be in the universe from the singer in the book, Alexander, and I listened to the songs nonstop for hours before reading and throughout. I loved the music. So I was kind of hyped as I read. However, I quickly came to terms with the fact that this still isn't the genre for me. I had a hard time connecting with any of the characters or the plot. I also wasn't a fan of the romance. It was very insta-lust, "I like you because you treat me like I'm normal", kind of romance. Which I can usually tolerate if it then builds, but I feel like they never really get the emotional depth that one would expect from a couple that is willing to risk so much for each other and claim very strong feelings for. It just didn't feel believable or healthy, and not in a fun way. I also tried to be understanding, as these are characters with severe trust issues, but it still didn't work for me. The sex scenes also made me cringe because there was no prep, at least the first two, and it took me out. As a sex educator, I couldn't stop thinking about how painful that must have been, and it distracted me from the rest of the scene. I do think the characters were really well developed in the sense that they had flaws, motivations, desires, and backstories; it all made sense. I also liked how mental health was handled for the most part throughout the book, assuming it's going to lead to a healing journey in books two and three. Lastly, I'll talk about the cliffhanger again without spoiling it. I don't think it's bad to end a book on a cliffhanger if there is a reason for it ending where it does and makes sense. My problem with this one, however, is that we are left mid-scene, and to finish the scene, we have to sign up for the author's newsletter, and then it's seemingly a time skip between books one and two. I felt like it was just marketing to keep you engaged, sign you up for the newsletter, and interested in book two. It did the opposite for me, however, I would have preferred to read what the rest of the scene in the book and signed up for the newsletter to get the audio version (because there is one and it's really good!) rather than it feeling sleazy. The likelihood that I continue with the series is incredibly low at this point. I was going to push through to see if the characters hopefully grow, and because I could tell this book was very important for the author, and I liked all the music and worldbuilding the author is doing for the series. But I don't like how I am left feeling after the cliffhanger, and it seems like there's going to be more angst, and I'm not really a big fan of angst or this genre, apparently.
