She lost her memories, but did she finally find her luck?

I’m the unluckiest person in the world.
Think getting a parking ticket while your car is being towed.
Or winning hockey tickets… only to end up in the hospital with no memories because a two hundred pound hockey player crashed into the plexiglass—and straight into you.
Yeah. That happened.
Next thing I know, I’m being taken in by said hockey player, Caleb—the same guy responsible for my current memory wipe. And as it turns out, he might also be the kindest man on earth.
He introduces me to his friends, shares his hobbies with me, and even cooks for me. (Okay, that may or may not be due to a kitchen incident I allegedly caused.)
And as I settle into this new life—this new me—I start to feel something I never like I belong. Suddenly, I’m more interested in making new memories than remembering my old ones.
And maybe, just maybe… losing them was the luckiest thing that ever happened to me.

Just My Puck is a closed-door hockey romcom set at Christmas, featuring a cinnamon roll hockey player and an aspiring author who lost her memories.
Follow the men of the New York Raptors NHL franchise as they chase professional success and the women who will melt their heart.
All books are standalones and can be read in any order.

i read the first book in this series a few months back and loved how easy it was to read (and binge in 2 hours!) so this was also pretty fast paced / short and fun! i think marion has a nice way of writing characters with depth and emotion in a short book. i did skip book 2 so i didn't get the full found family feeling, but it's definitely good if you're looking for a filler book and something to read between heavier ones!! definitely recommend and thank you to marion for having me on your arc team!! <3

Just My Puck is a cute wholesome hockey romance and is part of the New York Raptors series. This one features Caleb, the captain of the Raptors and Aria. Aria’s life is full of bad luck and has one the worst days anyone could wish for yet these events end up changing her life. This found family story is full of heartfelt moments and was a joy to read. I received a complementary copy from the author.

This book! Oh my heart. From the beginning to the end, this book made me want to both cry with all the emotions, or else kick my feet in enthusiastic delight. I read this book in ONE day, I just couldn’t put it down.

First we meet Dawn, the Bad Luck Girl, someone who’s been made into memes on account of everything going wrong for her. When we first meet her, she’s moved to a new apartment in New York ready to start her new job. when she arrives, the CEO has absconded with all the company funds and the company is closing, Jobless, she trudges home to find her apartment has burnt down due to not meeting regulation codes and now she’s homeless. Trying to perk herself up, she buys a cup of coffee and in a rare stroke of luck, wins two tickets to that nights hockey game. She decides to attend but as she gets there, her purse is stolen with all her ID. Still undeterred, she takes her seat, only to be flattened by the team’s captain as he crashes through the plexiglass in a freak accident. That is a lot for any girl to deal with, but then it appears the accident has caused memory loss, she has no idea who she is.

Enter Caleb, the hockey team captain who was the one who flattened her. he feels responsible for her and takes on the role of caring for her, putting her up, getting her life back on track. He’s a real honey of a guy, a cinnamon roll golden retriever who will do anything for his friends and those he loves. He helps Dawn, who is now known as Aria, make some friends and start to feel normal again. But he can’t help but hope her new memories are the only ones she has, he doesn’t want to lose her.

The dynamic between Caleb and Aria is *chefs kiss*. I loved them both, they were the perfect couple. The way their relationship developed was beautiful and with no third act breakup, it was a love story that kept flourishing.

So incredibly sweet!!

After a freak hockey accident leaves Aria with no memories, Caleb, the hockey player responsible, takes her in and helps her piece together a new life. As he introduces her to his world with kindness and unexpected tenderness, Aria begins to feel a sense of belonging she’s never known before, and falling for Caleb makes her wonder if losing her memories might have been the luckiest thing that ever happened to her.

What you'll love:
amnesia
dual pov
hockey captain MMC
girl down on her luck
he takes care of her
holiday vibes
found family
swoony kisses!
slow burn

The amnesia trope is so fun, but it can be tricky to land...but Caleb and Aria’s story absolutely nailed it. From their meet-cute (meet disaster?) all the way to their happily-ever-after, I swooned, smiled, and loved my way through this book!

I adored both main characters. I loved that their relationship started as a genuine friendship and slowly burned into something so much more. Caleb was incredibly sweet and respectful, and I loved all the ways he cared for and protected Aria. And oh, that first kiss!!!

The friendships Aria formed with the other girls were so heartwarming, and it was so fun seeing more of the Raptors hockey team. This is the third book in the series, but it absolutely stands on its own, though now I’m eager to go back and read the other interconnected stories.

The audiobook was wonderfully done, with narrators who truly brought the story to life. If you are a fan of the amnesia trope done right and a friends-to-lovers slow burn, this one is a must-read (or listen!).

Woohooo!!! Another New York Raptors book!!! I'm loving this series so much! And I love that the author has characters from her previous series making appearances throughout this series. It's so fun seeing them again! And if you haven't read that previous series, you can still read this one just fine!

I loved watching Dawn's story unfold! But at the beginning it was painful seeing all of the unlucky things that kept happening to her. Yikes! But her lucky definitely took a turn for the better when she ran into a couple ladies who just happened to have a couple winning tickets for her to the New York Raptors' hockey game! Not everyone would say that getting knocked over by a hockey player and sustaining a head injury which causes amnesia would be lucky. But for Dawn, it was definitely very lucky! Now she's on a whirlwind of a journey trying to figure out who she is, all while finding wonderful friends and being cared for by Caleb!

These two are so adorable! I loved the chemistry and connection between them that you could feel through the pages. You'll probably be wanting to go watch some hockey games, hang out with true friends, and fall in love, or spend time with the love of your life, after reading this book! I was hooked! I smiled so much throughout this book. I loved that Dawn was able to have another chance at discovering what she truly loves and likes, and creating a second chance at life for her. You'll have to read the book to know of her background and story!

Read it! Fall in love! And snuggle up with your favorite drink and comfy blanket!!!

Content: Clean. Some kisses but nothing further.

I received a copy from the author. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.

Happy Reading!!!

Dawn has had a lifetime of terrible luck. She’s just moved to Brooklyn, is about to start a job at an insurance company, and is barely getting by. So it comes as no surprise to her that her job ends up disappearing due to CEO embezzlement, she goes the wrong way to get back to her apartment, and when she does get back, her building is in flames. Everything she had there was gone.

Strangely enough, when she went the wrong way home, she ended up on Warlington Lane, discovered the delightful coffee and cookies at Rise and Grind, won free hockey tickets to the game that evening, and stared longingly at the window displays of No Shelf Control, briefly wishing she had the luck to publish a book. On her way to the Raptors hockey game, her purse is stolen, now leaving her with literally only the clothes on her back. And wouldn’t you know it, during the game, a hit by the opposing team smashed the captain of the Raptors into the plexiglass in front of Dawn, which shattered, causing her to hit her head.

Caleb feels awful about the hit, of course, and comes to see Dawn at the hospital after the game, only to find that her head injury has caused her to lose all of her memories, even her name. And since Caleb is practically a saint, he takes on the responsibility of housing her while she’s healing and going to therapy.

This romance is so very sweet, and I loved it. Caleb is possibly the most decent and kind person ever, and he is absolutely taken with the lovely woman, who does not like to be called Jane. (She will choose her own name, Aria, later.) It’s fun to see all the regulars from the Raptors, and I loved the hockey action. It drives me nuts when someone writes a sports romance and then puts hardly any sports in! This is never the case with this author, though. She always comes through.

It’s so beautiful to watch Caleb and Aria fall for each other, especially as it’s the Christmas season. In a way, Aria losing her memories has given her a clean slate, to determine who she wants to be.

I think we all have things that we wish we could forget. But what we must remember is that those things have shaped us into the people we are, and we can choose how we handle those things, and how we frame them in our own minds. You have to know where you’ve been in order to see where you’re going, and Caleb and Aria are headed for a happy ending.

The New York Raptors series is such a fun one and Just My Puck is a great addition to it! You can jump in and enjoy any of the books in the series without having read the others. However, if you have read this author before, it is extra enjoyable to get to catch up with all of the characters from the earlier books in the series and even from some of the author’s other stories, as well.

It was so sweet to see Caleb and Aria fall for each other as they spent time together. It was nice to see good things happening for Aria after all of the bad things that she had experienced in her life before the accident that left her with amnesia.

I thought the author did a great job of setting up a scenario where Aria truly didn’t have anyone or anything to tell her who she really was. And then watching Caleb and his friends take her in and make her feel truly loved was so uplifting. I’m excited to see that Wally is getting a story soon, too!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

This is Book 3 in the author’s New York Raptors Series. If you are looking for a feel good story to read, this one is it. The two main characters, Dawn and Caleb, will capture your heart. The people they surround themselves with are a great group.

Dawn Russell is an accident prone bad luck girl. A freak accident at a hockey game finds her in the hospital with a concussion. The concussion has left her with amnesia. Caleb Hawthorne, the captain of the New York Raptors hockey team, feels responsible for Dawn’s accident. He offers to take care of her as she tries to regain her memory.

Caleb and his circle of friends help Dawn create new memories. This story has a special message. It is never too late to change your luck and start over again.

I say this about every new Marion De Re book I read, but… this is my new favorite! Super cute caretaking romance with a cinnamon roll hockey player MMC and a sunshine FMC with amnesia. I was really excited to read this after the ending of book two, and it did not disappoint 🥰 I love how the sweet forced proximity mixes into a slowburn romance. And it brought all the best love story feels with deep emotion feels along the way. This couple is adorable and I really enjoyed this redeemed bad luck life of the FMC. The way the hockey star takes care of her gives you the feels of a billionaire romance with luxury and provisions. You get funny scenes and emotional scenes which made for a perfect read. I didn’t put this book down and read it in one day!

A highly enjoyable one-sit read! This was so funny and cute! I was immediately pulled into the story by gasping about everything that was happening to Dawn. Then the world went topsy turfy and a new life started. Caleb is adorable and the best guy ever, can anyone point me in the direction of a Caleb? It was so much fun to be back in Brooklyn and revisit the friends whose stories I’ve read about before. I loved how everything came together and the cozy and heartwarming vibe of the book. Definitely a hug-in-a-book! 🩷

ARC review

"Just My Puck" by Marion De Ré is part of the "New York Raptors" series, but it can be read as a standalone.

I received an e-ARC from the author.
Opinions from this review are completely my own.

What you can expect:
⦁ hockey romance
⦁ hockey player/aspiring author
⦁ amnesia
⦁ great friends group
⦁ closed door / kisses only
⦁ bad luck girl
⦁ caretaker hero
⦁ dual POV

I have to say that Marion writes some of the best stories and characters.
This is such a sweet romance with an unlucky girl that finds the man with all the green flags.
And the story takes place close to Christmas, so it also has a cozy and warm vibe.

Caleb is a hockey player and ends up taking care of Aria, after she got hurt at a hockey game and has amnesia.
He is so kind and falls in love with her so fast.
I was glad that the characters from the other series interconnect with this book and that Aria managed to make friends with the other girls.

Aria is such a strong woman and I am glad that her luck turned around and she managed to find love and family.

As we all know, I love all the Marion De Ré books that I have read. With that, I can say that I think Just My Puck is my favourite so far... the story takes a really different route with how Caleb and Aria meet and how their relationship forms.

It is such a quick, easy and sweet story that is perfect to get you back into reading.

They book is filled with easily loveable characters and is perfect to read as a standalone if you have not read the rest of the series.

We’re back with the New York Raptors, except this time it’s our captain’s moment to shine! Hockey player Caleb is part of a freak accident where he breaks through the protective glass around the arena… and lands on a fan. The fan ends up with amnesia and doesn’t remember who she is, so Caleb offers her a place to stay while she recovers. I haven’t read a lot of books with the amnesia trope, but I thought this one was really fun! Caleb and Aria have a little bit of a slower burn but their feelings for one another were apparent from the start. There’s always a wonderful found family component within Marion’s books, and this one is no different. A wonderful addition to this fun series!

After the exciting ending of Power Play Pursuit I couldn't wait to dive into Just My Puck. Calebs situation is quite unique with him crashing on a girl during a game, but what if the injured girl has no where to go and she cannot remember anything of her past life? Caleb decides to help her out, but where will this lead? What does Marion de Re have in store for her readers?

The main tropes for Just My Puck are amnesia, forced proximity and found family but this book also has some christmas vibes. I must admit this is my first book about amnesia, and I have discovered I am not really into this trope. The whole romance just felt wrong to me. Like shouldn't Caleb have waited for the memories to return before making his move? Don't get me wrong, I really loved Caleb and Dawn/Aria/Jane's characters.

Review:

Well, I was hooked from the very first page! I loved absolutely everything about this book from the writing, the characters, the plot, the awesome banter, and so much more!

Dawn our FMC also goes by Aria well she ends up getting a new job and moves to New York City and needless to say there's a lot of bumps in the road and it doesn't go as smoothly as she was hoping for.. Dawn looses her job before it even starts and her apartment burst into flames right after she moves into it and she literally loses everything! She definitely has a streak of bad luck but thats about to change as she just won the winning tickets to see the New York Raptors for tonight! For your second, she gets worried as she thinks the tickets for it are in her purse, but thankfully, she finds them in her pocket! She decides to still go cause she doesn't really have anything else to do or anywhere to go. Nothing else could go wrong right? Well while she's at the Raptors game our MMC Caleb end up getting cross checked right into her which causes her I'm to get hit with plexiglass and hit her head on the ground knocking her unconscious. As much as Caleb wants to stay with her and make sure she's okay, he needs to get back to the game. He's unable to stop thinking about her the entire time and well when they end up reconnecting.. well you'll have to read it to find out! All I'm gonna say is Caleb is a dream a legit dream❤️🫶 caleb in general is a heartthrob, and truly the sweetest and has similarities of what I look for in a man!

I truly loved how this book played out and how it ended. I was hooked right from the very first page which is common for me with anything Marion writes! I love hockey and especially hockey romance books and if you're the same, you'll definitely want to read this one!

Thank you Marion for having me on your ARC team!🫶❤️

This might be my favorite book in this series. Both characters were just completely loveable, in every sense of the word. It was also set around Christmas in New York, which made it even more romantic.

Unlucky does not even begin to describe life for Aria. This poor woman cannot catch a break. However, as fate would have it, attending a hockey game (a sport which she knows nothing about) is about to change her life forever.

Caleb is the Captain of the New York Raptors hockey team. He is kind and compassionate, but he is not interested in falling into the trap his teammates have fallen into - love. Fate has other ideas after Caleb falls through the plexiglass and takes Aria out in the stands. She is rushed out on a stretcher. I knew this cinnamon roll hero would not let this go without intervening after the fact.

The knock on the head leaves Aria with no clue as to who she is or where she came from, but the New York Raptors family (players, their wives and girlfriends), and of course, Caleb, take her in and treat her like one of their own.

I knew within the first two chapters that I was going to absolutely love this book. The two main characters were enough, even without the supporting characters, to make this sweet romance a winner in my book. But after getting to visit old friends again at the coffee shop that I know and love, Rise and Grind, and the incredible bookstore, Shelf Control, it just made this story that much sweeter. I love when characters cross over into other books. It is like getting a warm hug from a friend that you have not seen in a while.

For this romantic fool, this book was exquisite and left me with the warm fuzzies that I so enjoy after reading a good romance. There are also some funny scenes mixed in that made me laugh out loud. You cannot go wrong with any book in this series, but this one is my favorite.

Thank you to the author for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Oh My Gosh, Ms. De Ré has once again given us a hilarious romance that had me laughing and smiling from ear to ear from start to finish. If you have kept up with the New York Raptors Hockey series you have met most of the team as well as their women, most of which we met in the No Shelf Control series. That being said, you don’t need to have read the other to enjoy Just My Puck (but between me and you those books are also great RomComs that I highly recommend). In just My Puck we meet Dawn, aka: Aria. She honestly has the worst luck and has had it ever since she was a child. The things this poor woman has been through all her life are enough to defeat anyone, but not Dawn. She knows she has to push through, after all she is all she has to depend on. But after her latest catastrophe, she attends the local hockey game after winning two free tickets. Sitting right by the glass, her back luck continues as she gets knocked to the floor and sent to the ER after Caleb, a Raptor hockey player, crashes through the glass and knocks her to the ground. She wakes up in the hospital with not only a possible concussion, but she has Amnesia. When Caleb drops by to check on the woman he hurt, he learns this and feels responsible. With limited choices, she agrees to go home with Caleb while she recovers and hopefully gets her memory back. From here the story takes us on a fun journey with Aria (the new name she’s chosen since she doesn’t know her own), Caleb, his fellow hockey players and their better halves do everything they can to help her out. But as Aria and Caleb get closer, what happens if she remembers who she is? Does her continued bad luck end up costing her the new friends along with Caleb? Will her life take on a new turn or go back to the bad luck girl she’s always been?

I can’t recommend this book enough and I can’t wait to see what happens next with the tight group of players and friends that make up the NY Raptor hockey team.

Before I begin, I would like to thank Marion de Ré for allowing me to read a copy of her upcoming book, Just My Puck, which is the third book of her New York Raptors series and will be available on Amazon on October 3rd, 2025.

Dawn has extremely bad luck whether it’s getting a parking ticket as her car is being towed or winning two hockey game tickets and then having a two-hundred-pound hockey player crash into the plexiglass and fall on her. Now she has no memory of who she is, and Caleb, the guy who crashed into her, offers her a place to stay and might be the kindest person she has ever met. Soon she’s meeting his friends, participating in his hobbies, and eats delicious food that he makes for her while feeling like she belongs here. Maybe it’s time to focus on new memories instead of trying to grasp who she was.

I love this book. You have Dawn (soon called Jane/Aria), an independent, sweet, thoughtful, talented, and beautiful young woman that has had terrible bad luck in the past and is wondering who she is as she recovers from the hockey incident. You have Caleb, a strong, kind, considerate, and handsome young man that is devoted to being a great professional hockey captain and looking out for his family and teammates. The interactions between Aria and Caleb were funny, sweet, and earnest. It was wonderful seeing familiar faces from the previous books of the series and the One More Chapter series. I usually am not a huge fan of the amnesia trope, but the author wrote about the frustrations and complications that one could have with the medical condition. It was great seeing Arai gain more confidence as she gained new experiences and I cheered for both her and Caleb throughout the story. Overall, if you like found family, books, wonderful characters, and sweet amnesia / hockey romance with low spice, then I would highly recommend this book.

Dawn (Aria) moves to New York City for her new job but nothing goes according to plan. She’s consent prone that everything that could go wrong absolutely went wrong. Lost her job before even started, the had a stroke of good luck for a small moment winning tickets to see the New York Raptors that night, lost her apartment that she just moved into to a fire and then at the door of the stadium she is robbed and the third makes a getaway with her purse. Luckily the hockey tickets were in her pocket and not the purse so she decides to go watch the game since at that point she has nowhere else to go! What else could go wrong for her that day you ask? Well, Caleb Hawthorne is cross checked into the boards and who ends up on Dawn’s (Aria’s) lap and causing her to get hit with the plexi glass in her eye and hit her head on the floor knocking her unconscious? None other than Caleb. She is taken out of the arena in a stretcher and he isn’t able to stop thinking about her the rest of the game feeling so terrible for what happened. To say what happens next doesn’t shock me, would be a lie. I genuinely feel so bad for Dawn (Aria). She is definitely surrounded by bad luck but sometimes terrible things happen to make way for the best things in life. This story had me hooked and unable to put the book down unless I was legitimately required to adult. I rate this story 5 stars and as always, Marion De Ré never disappoints. With hockey season in full swing, do your self a favour and grab this series. Each book is better than the other.

I have adored every book in Marion De Re’s New York Raptors series, but there is something extra special about Just My Puck that might make it my favorite of the series. The book satisfied my need for a sweet, low angst romantic comedy. It was like a hug from a dear friend or a warm chocolate chip cookie fresh out of the oven. So comforting and so sweet.

Just My Puck focuses on Caleb, the New York Raptor’s captain, and Dawn, the woman he landed on after he crashed through the plexiglass during a game. When Caleb learns the woman he landed on lost her memory and her identity, Caleb decides to help her. The story that follows is full of friendship, laughter, mutual pining, and so much banter.

Things to love:
-hockey romance
-amnesia
-caretaker hero
-bad luck heroine
-fabulous friends
-slow burn
-banter and chemistry
-swoony kisses

I adored both Caleb and Dawn. I found them both so likeable and kind. I loved how Dawn handled her situation with so much grace and humor. She gave me Audrey Hepburn vibes with her kindness and her approach to her amnesia. Caleb was a hot hockey player with a heart of gold. I loved how cared for everyone around him. He was such a good man. It was so sweet to watch them pine for each other.

I also adored all the side characters. It was so fun to visit with characters from her previous books. I can’t get enough of the New York Raptors and their ladies.

Thinking about this book just puts a smile on my face. It had humor and banter as well as so much heart. The ending was so good. This book, and really the entire series, needs to be on your TBR.

Thank you to the author @marionderewrites for the #gifted e-book.

This book was such a delight from start to finish! I read it in one sitting because I just couldn’t put it down. Just My Puck is a heartwarming romcom hockey romance filled with charm, laughter, and the perfect amount of Christmas sparkle. It’s book 3 in the New York Raptors series, and I’m loving this series more with every release.

We meet Caleb, the Raptors’ hockey captain — a true dreamboat of a book boyfriend. He’s a Lego lover, handyman, cook, family man, and fierce protector, and honestly, how can you not fall for him? He’s the perfect mix of sweet and strong. Then there’s Aria, an aspiring author who’s lost her memories and can’t seem to catch a break… until her literal shattering meet-cute with Caleb changes everything. Their connection is instant, but it’s the kind of slow, genuine bond that grows with care, humor, and heart.

This story has found family feels, witty banter, and just the right touch of holiday coziness. The cameos from characters in the previous books were so fun to see — it really makes the world of the Raptors feel alive and connected. And while it’s a closed-door romance, the chemistry between Caleb and Aria shines through every scene.

If you love:
🏒 Sweet hockey captains
🎄 Christmas vibes
🧱 Legos and laughter
💋 Closed-door kisses
📚 Found family and healing love

…then you’re going to adore Just My Puck. It’s a quick, easy read that leaves you smiling, swooning, and already ready for the next Raptor to fall in love.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 – Cozy, funny, festive, and full of heart.

💙 If you are searching for a super cute, heartwarming and closed door romcom then this book is perfect for you. This story easily balances the perfect intensity of feel good vibes from the connection between the characters and the coziness of the Christmas season. It is light, sweet and festive & I found myself enjoying every moment of it!

💙 What is supposed to be a new beginning for Aria (aka Dawn) ends up being one of the worst days ever - a freak hockey accident + amnesia leads her straight into Caleb’s life, hockey captain for the New York Raptors. He is the biggest cinnamon-roll ever and the swoon level is high for Caleb! As he takes care of Aria while she tries building new memories, the heartwarming vibes are overwhelming as is the found family that emerges.

🎧 Avery Caris and Patrick Zeller are both wonderful narrators who easily portray Aria and Caleb. Both bring out the personalities of their characters in a way that makes them relatable for the listener. I enjoyed Caris and her light-hearted and carefree nature of Aria as she worked through her amnesia. And Zeller portrayed both Caleb’s serious side and eventually his more relaxed side as he was with Aria in a very easy flowing manner.

💙 This is a light, sweet and festive romance that I throughly enjoyed listening to. I loved how Caleb’s and Aria’s story is surrounded by characters from the previous books in this series. Honestly, the book felt like a warm hug in book form - which is just De Re’s style.

🎄Although this book is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone🎄

Hockey + amnesia + Christmas vibes... it was a combination that I didn't know I needed... but I was absolutely here for it! We got a preview of this rather epic meet cute... or meet disaster as the case may be... in the previous book, and so I'll admit, I was already hooked before the story even started. After that meeting, I just knew that Caleb's story was going to be a good one... and it certainly did not disappoint. To say Aria doesn't have the best of luck would be quite the understatement! Right away, this string of bad luck that leads her to that fateful hockey game absolutely drew me in. Amnesia can be one of those tropes that can be hit or miss when it's not done well, but this one was just right. I loved seeing Aria discovering who she was apart from her past... and the way Caleb stepped up for her? Oh, I just loved it so much. The chemistry between these two was really sweet and I couldn't get enough of them together! Once again, Marion leaves us with just a hint of what's to come and I cannot wait to see it all play out!

Just My Puck is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language. It is part of the New York Raptors series, and while those who have read the previous books in the series (or Marion's other previous series) may see some familiar characters make appearances, I do think this could be enjoyed just fine as a standalone as well.

**ARC received for consideration. All opinions are my own.

Just My Puck is book three in the New York Raptors series, set around Christmas, this is giving such wonderful seasonal vibes. Dawn truly believes she’s the unluckiest girl in the world, but she’s landed a job in New York and she’s hopeful for a new beginning. Let’s just say her bad luck continues, she does, however, find herself in a quaint coffee shop, Rise n Grind (brings back such lovely memories from previous books in this and One More Chapter series). Her coffee comes with her first good luck, winning tickets to an NFL game, but this is where the good luck stops, or does it?
She finds herself in hospital with no memories because Caleb, the captain of the team, crashed into the plexiglass—and straight into her.
He seems to be a good luck charm though, he visits the hospital to check up on her, only to end up taking her under his wing and bringing her home to recuperate.
Told in dual POV, which is always a winner for me, it is such an easy-to-read and beautifully told slow-burn romance. Caleb is such a sweetheart, once he falls, he falls hard, and Aria (aka Dawn) really comes into her own when surrounded by such positive role models.
I loved everything about this book, the ending was a chef’s kiss 😘 and don’t miss out on the bonus chapter available to download as it’s the perfect ending to this wonderful story.
Thank you Marion De Re for this ARC, all opinions expressed are my own.

Thank you so much Marion De Ré for the audiobook of Just My Puck. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Just My Puck was another Marion De Ré book I finished within 24 hours. There is just something so enchanting about the way she writes that I can’t help but consume her books. Just My Puck was no exception. It’s romantic, spice free, full of genuinely nice characters, and is oh so heartwarming.

One of my absolute favorite parts of Just My Puck is the found family featured throughout the story. The players on the professional hockey team, The Raptors, and their wives and girlfriends have this amazing bond that you just can’t help but want to be a part of. I love how this group immediately welcomed Dawn with open arms without any hesitation whatsoever. It’s honestly the wholesomeness we all need right now.

Since I listened to the audiobook, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention voice actors Avery Caris and Patrick Zeller. Avery Caris did an amazing job of bringing Dawn’s airy positivity to life. Additionally, I really enjoyed Patrick Zeller’s delivery of the in-game sports commentary. If you’re a fan of audiobooks, you definitely should give this one a listen!

In the pages, you will find:

⛈️An unlucky FMC
🏒A wholesome hockey captain MMC
🧠The amnesia trope done well
🤝Found family
🫶Healthy, positive female friendships
🥅A dramatic meet-cute
❤️Romance
🚫No spice

Ahh! This was just too cute! I was so excited to read this book and it did not disappoint. It has to be my new favorite from this series. Just My Puck is the third book in Marion De Re’s New York Raptors series.
I just loved everything about this book! The plot and the characters had me hooked. Caleb was just the sweetest. He was such a softie and I loved how he cared for Aria. Poor Aria had been through a string of bad luck but it was cool to read about her finding herself throughout the book. I loved reading about their interactions and how they cared for each other. They were sort of pushed together but they really worked well together.
The romance was just the sweetest especially as Caleb tried to care for Aria. They brought out the best in each other and were just so fun to read about. They started to fall for each other as they spent time together and it was just so cute! The story was so interesting and I loved seeing Aria find herself through the book.
The team was again a highlight in the book and I just loved their interactions. They were really a family. I could not recommend this book more! I loved it and I am so excited for the next book! Some of the other raptors need their own books. Just My Puck is a closed door romantic comedy.
