I thought I’d be single forever, but my hot single dad neighbor had other plans.
Zoey Gallo I didn’t want to date anymore. After a string of disappointments, I swore off relationships forever. But when a handsome single dad moves next door, I find my resolve slipping, no matter how hard I tell myself to stay strong.
Hunter Evans I’m completely out of my element. New town. New job. A fresh start. I was there for one reason and one reason only—to be closer to my little girl. But after spending time with my new beautiful neighbor, I wonder if I’m missing out on something more in life.
But when someone from Zoey’s past tries to tear us apart, do we have what it takes to get our happily ever after?
Zoey Gallo (of the Chicago Gallo Family) works at her family’s bar. She had a boyfriend but he went to jail after assaulting her. She hasn’t dated in awhile and the other family members are ready for her to get out and date again.
Her new hot sexy neighbor is moving in, Hunter Evans. Who is now working at her cousins tattoo shop across from her bar. Her cousin is now his boss. But is Hunter wanting a relationship? Hunter moved to Chicago to be near to his daughter, his ex has cancer and moved to Chicago to get better care with her treatments.
Hunter and Zoey have started hanging out with each other but it sure where things might be going. Zoey’s ex comes back into the picture - stalking her and Hunter doesn’t want to leave Zoey and more than he has to. But spending time together is what they both wanted just not under the circumstances that they are.
I did receive a free ARC copy of this book. I am freely leaving an honest book review.
I thoroughly enjoyed Wish, book four in the Men of Inked Sinners series from the storyline to the memorable characters and don’t forget the whole meddling in your face extended Gallo family. Hunter and Zoey happen to be new apartment neighbors when Hunter moves to Chicago to be near his daughter and it just so happens to now work for Zoey’s cousin at the tattoo parlor across the street from her bar. As they say, it’s a small world and their close proximity just brings them closer. Yes, this story has a little drama but the Gallos all step up to help, support and bring Hunter and his daughter into their fold.
I’m always happy to go back to the Gallo world and I loved Zoey and Hunter’s story. “Wish” is a swoony, heartfelt, and sweet neighbors to lovers, single dad romance that was a great addition to the series.
Zoey Gallo is happy with her life. She runs the family bar with her cousin, is close with her family and loves being in Chicago. And when her new neighbor moves in, she takes notice but is not interested in a relationship. Hunter Evans is a small town guy but moved to Chicago to be closer to his daughter, especially since her mother is sick. Hunter notices Zoey as well but is focused on his daughter. But much to Zoey’s surprise, Hunter is the newest artist at the family’s tattoo shop so they will definitely see each other all the time. But when someone from Zoey’s past comes back to threaten her, Hunter promises to be there and the lines they each drew start to get erased.
I loved getting to know Zoey from the previous books and I’m glad we got her story next. Zoey is kind, genuine and is close with all of her family. She’s great at running the bar and has a passion to help it succeed for more Gallo generations to come. Hunter was swoony from the first moment he met Zoey and I don’t know how she resisted him for as long as she did. He’s an amazing Dad and I love how close he is with his daughter and how he moved without hesitation to be in the same city as her. I loved the banter he had with the other Gallos and how they welcomed him into the family even before he started dating Zoey. He was instantly protective of her when a crazy man from her past came back and had every intention of hurting her again. Hunter was there for her and made sure she was safe. Zoey and Hunter had a great connection and I loved the slow burn to them being a couple. It was so sweet and the perfect pace for them. I loved the ending and I can’t wait for the next book in the series.
This was a quick read and a great addition to this series. This was not the typical single Dad read and I enjoyed it from start to finish.
Zoey Gallo has swarn off men especially after the last man that she was involved with kidnapped her sister and held her hostage. After he went to jail she decided that she needed a break from dating and focus on working at the family bar that she now owned with her cousin. Her family that has no bounds when it comes to their love and invasiveness are determined to get her back into the dating world and it doesn't help that her new neighbor is not bad to look at. Will she be able to keep up with her dating break??
Hunter has moved to Chicago to be closer to his daughter. He wants to continue to be part of her life and be supportive of his ex through her health crisis. What he did not expect was to be attracted to his neighbor and then find himself working for what he thought was his friend but also Zoey's cousin. With all of the meddling going on with Zoey's family he is not without his own meddling in the form of his sister doing the same. When he thinks that he is just walking Zoey home he ends up getting shot by her ex and in Zoey's care. Will he be able to resist his attraction to her while recuperating??
This was a quick read that I was hooked on from start to finish. The characters were well written and had chemistry despite their best efforts to resist each other. I enjoyed the return of the characters from the previous books in the series and felt that the plot of the story flowed well. Overall, this is a great read that I would recommend to others.
It is always great to return to the world of the Gallo's! Wish is another fantastic addition to this series.
Zoey Gallo runs the bar with her cousin and is happy with the life she leads. She isn't looking for anything in the way of a relationship regardless how much her family would like for her to find someone to settle down with. When a new neighbor moves in across the hall, her family takes notice and while she realizes he is good looking, she still isn't looking for anything.
Hunter Evans has moved to Chicago to be close to his daughter following the split with her mother. He knows his daughter needs his support given her mother is ill and he's looking forward finding his footing in a new city. Hunter also notices Zoey, but he knows that this isn't the time to be focused on any kind of dating or the like.
Zoey soon realizes that Hunter is the new tattoo artist at the family shop, so she knows she is going to be seeing a lot more of Hunter than just because she lives across the hall from him. They strike up a friendship and when someone from Zoey's past comes back and starts causing problems, Hunter is very quick to be the person to step in to help. Will these two people who said they don't want a relationship really stick to that or will the pull between them be too much to deny?
Zoey and Hunter were great characters and I enjoyed how their relationship developed. This was a quick read and it had all of the things you want in a great romance novel; heat, heart and plenty of family!
**I voluntarily read an early copy of this title in exchange for an honest review**
Bliss knows her way around a hunky hero! Reconnecting with the Gallo family is always a joy, and the next book in the Men of Inked Sinners series brings us Zoey's story when she has an instant connection with her hunky new neighbor Hunter. Neither are looking for love, but it hits them regardless. The chemistry between the two of them was really intense, and the butting in of family on both sides added a humorous side to their meet cute. I did like that not every cousin was brought in to overwhelm the reader this time with lots of faces that they might not be familiar with, but I did feel a lack of backstory when it came to the Zoey/LuLu/Mark situation. We needed more catch up to remind those of us who read the entire family what had happened, but most importantly to tell anyone picking this book up as a supposed stand alone what the inference of drama was all about. There was a big hole there even for a fan of the series and family.
Overall, this was a fast paced read with lots of drama and humor. I wanted more time with them to develop their relationship and a little more filler of his kiddo, his ex, etc. but loved them as a couple. I recommend this book as well as the entire series and connected series of the fam to anyone that enjoys an intense family who loves hard and never lets a roadblock stand in their way of loving and supporting each other through life's ups and downs.
Sooo darn good!!! No matter what state a Gallo lives in…I’m all in and want their full story! This family and this author never disappoint. Hunter is packing up his life to be closer to his adorable daughter. His ex has moved to Chicago so Hunter unfortunately has to do the same. But Hunter is in for a bit of a surprise…he is not looking for a relationship but his new neighbor is extremely intriguing. Zoey is a strong woman who has been through a lot…and she’s not sure if she ready to move on. But she is a Gallo after all, plus her new neighbor is beyond hot and happens to be a new tattoo artist for her cousin. As these two keep getting thrown together…it’s definitely not a bad thing. The more they spend time together, the more they like about each other. But as they get closer, something horrific happens. Will this bring them closer or put the brakes on everything?! This is a well layered book with one heck of a story. A story about moving on from your past and figuring out your future. A story about unexpected love and everything in between. These two have fun banter and insane chemistry…they definitely belonged together. This story sucked me in and never let me go…like this family! This family has me one thousand percent. Each character is more interesting than the last. As each book ends, I can’t wait for the next book to hit my kindle. Bring on the next book!
First off, I highly recommend you read Need: Men of Inked Sinners: Book 3 first (obvs.), as there is a side story featuring Zoey, that is played out in this book. With that said, *sighs* I love an instalove story, and you can tell right away that Hunter is immediately attracted to Zoey. She tries to resist temptation, and fortunately, they both have personal reasons for not pursuing a relationship.
Yet, this setback doesn't last too long. Fate totally has other plans for them, pushing these two together in unforseen events. They do seem to fit together like two perfect puzzle pieces, and the family sees it too! Then someone from Zoey's past pops up (see read Need first), putting her and Hunter in danger.
Ultimately, it unites Zoey, Hunter and the entire Gallo Family together. The story was definitely sweet, and if anyone in the Men Of Inked Sinners series deserved a happily ever after, it's Zoey. There are still more Southside Next Gen cousins, so I'm looking forward to the next books in the series. Chelle Bliss has written such a loveable family, from Florida to Chicago. Her books make you feel like you're part of the family, like an honorary Gallo! ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 1/✨
Edit: I would also say this is low-key a Christmas romance.
Special thanks to author Chelle Bliss for providing the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
𝐖𝐢𝐬𝐡 is the 4th book in the Men of Inked Sinners series by Chelle Bliss, featuring Zoey and Hunter’s emotional neighbors to lovers tale with a slow-burn heat and an entertaining suspense plot! Zoey’s traumatic storyline in the last book took center stage for me and even overshadowed Lulu and Oliver’s story at times, so I was excited to see Zoey find a good man. When single girl dad Hunter moved in next door, just to be near his daughter as his ex went through a difficult time, I thought, ‘There he is.’ They had that connection at a glance, the undeniable curiosity, and a fun banter. He was so compassionate and understanding of her vulnerabilities, and when danger started lurking about, his protective instincts kicked in full-force! I loved the surprising twists that had me on the edge of my seat, and had my emotions stirred up. There’s nothing like a well-executed Touch Her and ☠️ vibe, especially when you have an amazing family like the Gallos that will pull together when trouble comes. As always, I loved every moment with the Gallos! No matter which branch of the family I’m visiting, the bonds and the dynamics feel like home. The only thing that felt off to me was the pace of the ending. It just felt a little abrupt, even with the epilogue. I wanted to enjoy their happiness a bit, I guess. I can’t wait to read more about Mason and Lizzy, and see more of the whole crew!!
Thank you to Chelle Bliss for tor this ARC. My opinions are my own and are freely expressed. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
Chelle Bliss has done it again!! She has written a book that I will be revisiting again and again. If I want a reminder of how fantastic a man can be I will be drooling over Hunter in Wish. The author writes the most amazing male characters, but Hunter is supreme.
What's not to like about a guy willing to up and move from Ohio to Chicago? Hunter's ex-wife moved, taking his adorable daughter with her. He was planning to follow, the distance not acceptable, but moved earlier when his ex-wife got ill. He wanted to be there for his daughter. SWOON!!! Single dad for the win!!!!
Hunter is a very delectable man, but not interested in a relationship. Lucky for him, his beautiful neighbor isn't either. Zoey Gallo is still dealing with her past. Zoey is quite happy keeping her distance, but Hunter is a hard man to resist.
Hunter and Zoey area the opitime of slow burn romance with interfering family to push them along. The not to so subtle actions were glorious. The surprises grabbed me. The possiblities had me excited for future chapters. The jaw dropping moments were intense. I couldn't wait to see what the future would hold.
Wish is the 4th book in the Men of Inked Sinner series. The couple in the book are Zoey and Hunter. He is her new hot neighbour. He has moved to Chicago to be with his daughter ( Amira)because his ex wife is there for treatment. He also works at Tate's tattoo shop. Zoey is Lucio and Delilah's daughter and Lulu's sister. She has a rough time with relationships. If you have read Lulu's book you know what has happened to her. She is sworn of getting involved with anyone.... enter Hunter lol With help with Lizzy(Hunter's sister) and most of Zoey's family trying to push them together, They start hanging out more but her past come back to haunt her and all heck breaks loose. When that happens all of the Gallos show up and support Hunter. They get over what happened and the person that did the damage has been dealt with. Hunter's ex wife is recovering and Amira and Hunter ask Zoey a very importand question. Also there are some hot sparks between Mason and Lizzy. Can't wait to read Mason's book All I can say is about this book is that it is amazing and they get a well deserved HEA.
Zoey wasn’t going to have another relationship; she wasn’t going to have a baby ever after witnessing birth. She didn’t expect the new neighbour. Or did she expect as it seems to happen with the Gallos that someone in the family already knew him. Hunter moved so that he could still see his daughter regularly and not knowing what could happen to his ex with her undergoing treatment. He was so thankful that they had a space for him at the family run tattoo parlour. He had no time for anything other than his daughter and work, even though his sister pointed out his beautiful neighbour. When his boss works out where he lives and that he is attracted to her, Hunter soon learns that when the Gallos want something to happen they make sure it does. Zoey keeps denying things with Hunter, as much as her family is pushing her, she’s sworn of relationship. Then Zoey realises that Hunter is like no one she’s dated or been interested in before and that her family has rarely if ever been wrong about anything.
We are in the Windy City of Chicago and the Gallo’s here are as STRONG AND THRIVING as the Florida family !! The bar Hook & Hustle along with Inked is nothing short of a legacy for the Gallo’s and Hunter and Zoey are now both connected not just in work but also with there hearts.
They both don’t know it yet because they are both trying to push each other aside and for good reasons BUT the heart knows what the heart wants and eventually they BOTH go along with what the stars have written.
Hunter is new to Chicago but NOT new to Inked so when he starts his new job Tate Gallo makes it her mission to find him his sole mate and her cousin Zoey might just be what he is looking for. Except Zoey isn’t having it because boy if you don’t remember her ex Mark did a real number on her and she can’t let it go until .. Hunter saves her life !!
These two or three are ment to be a family and you will find yourself reading ALL night to make sure it happens !! Why to bring more LOVE to the Gallo bunch Chelle !! Loved it !!
Wish is the next book in the second generation of Southside Gallos and should not be missed🙌 Zoey, has maintained her single status especially after what happened with her ex. But when Hunter moves next door, she is immediately attracted to him. But can she trust him enough to move forward?
Hunter, through no choice of his own, finds his way to Chicago, to be closer to his daughter. Not too keen to dive into a relationship after the way his last one ended, his focus remains on work and being the best dad possible to his daughter. But when he meets his stunning neighbour Zoey, all bets are off❣️
The story took a suspenseful turn I was not expecting but I really enjoyed Zoey and Hunter’s story and being back amongst the Southside Gallos😍 I’m wondering if there’s a story for Mason and Hunter’s sister, Lizzy🤔 I received an advanced copy and willingly leave my honest review❤️🩹
This book is the story of Zoey and Hunter. Zoey has decided to take a big break from dating. She hasn’t had the best of luck with men. Well little did she know that her new neighbor is a hottie. Well Zoey definitely does her best to try to avoid Hunter but that ends up being hard to do when he not only lives next to her but also works at her cousins tattoo parlor. Of course when her cousin Tate sees the sparks between these two she tries to set them up and get them to agree to one date. But Hunter says no as well since he is trying to get himself settled and focus on his daughter who is going through a tough time with her mom. Despite these two giving it their best effort to keep a distance fate has other plans and throws these two together at every turn. Don’t worry they finally give in and go on that one date that turns into something more. This story you also get to see some of the Gallo’s and all the funny family dynamics.
I loved reading this story ! Starts with a prologue with Zoey in the delivery room watching her sister Lulu give birth and decides right then that she is decides that she is never having a baby. Chapter one is Zoey and standing by her door wanting use the peep hole to see what her new neighbor looks like and talking to her sister Lulu about it then a knock on the door and when she opens it it is her new neighbor he tells her his name which is Hunter and wanting to borrow a broom or vacuum because he broke something and I was drawn in to keep reading to find out what is happening and I did not expect someone to get shot kept reading to find out how they deal with it who did the shooting. I love the text messages between Zoey, her sister Lulu and cousins made me laugh and love how the Gallo family accepts Hunter his daughter and his sister Lizzy. into the family. Look forward to reading Desire which is Mason Gallo story.
You will love Zoey and Hunters story! It’s the 4th book on the Men of Inked Sinners series. I say it’s fate that Hunter moved in next door and they meet day 1. He moves to Chicago to be close to his daughter. He’s a tattoo artist and Zoey owns and works the family bar. So many things bring them together the chemistry is off the charts!! This book will make you laugh, swoon, shed a tear, and get all caught up in family!! The Gallo’s are a fun loving bunch who are super close and will do anything for each other! The family text threads always leave you laughing!! I love that we get to see the other family members and their relationships in each book! It’s fun to get to see the previous stories expand and grow!! There is humor, family, love, witty banter, sexual chemistry, and so much more!! Chelle Bliss never disappoints! I have read and own all of the Men of Inked series as well as Star Fall series and they are all a 5⭐️ for me!!! Must read!!
This is the next book in the Southside Gallos, Next Generation. This story revolves around Zoey and Hunter. Zoey has sworn off men, much to her family's dismay. She has had it with men and the disappointment they bring. Her last relationship ended horribly. However, nothing prepared her for Hunter Evans. Hunter moved to Chicago out of necessity. His little girl moved to Chicago with her mother. Hunter will do whatever it takes to be near his daughter, including uprooting his whole life. He now lives in a new city, with a new job and apartment. Hunter and Zoey meet when he knocks on her door asking to borrow a broom. They seem to run into each other a lot. Despite the reluctance of Hunter and Zoey, attraction towards one another, and feelings develop. When someone from Zoey's past starts causing trouble, will it derail their blossoming romance? Time will tell. Sorry, no spoilers.
Zoey and Hunter are a perfect couple!! Zoey and her cousin Mason run the family's bar Hook and Hustle. Hunter just moved into the apartment next to Zoey. He thinks she's a hot chick. Hunter has a daughter named Amira. Zoey has given up on men. Hunter works now at the same family's tattoo shop that Zoey's family owns.
Hunter goes over to the Hook and Hustle and sees that the hot neighbor chick Zoey working there. He talks to her and really likes him. Zoey's sister Tate starts to push them together. Zoey discovers he has a daughter and a sister named Lizzie who is close to him. He is such a nice guy and Zoey really likes him. Then she gets a letter from some guy, and it freaks her out and then Hunter wants to know why she reacted the way she did. He tells her he's going to protect her.
I highly recommend this book! I can't wait till Chelle Bliss releases the next one!
Wish is Zoey Gallo and her new neighbor Hunter Evans entertaining, captivating and at times emotional journey. It’s book four in the Men of Inked Sinner Series and it didn’t take me long to become invested in the characters and their story. Hunter has moved to Chicago to be close to his daughter and he takes a job working at Zoey’s cousins tattoo shop and that means crossing paths with his hot neighbor……… Zoey hasn’t dated for a while but as soon as she starts hanging out with Hunter her meddling but kind family start their interfering, trying to push for a romance. What follows is an entertaining read as things start to heat up between this couple but what happens when Zoey’s abusive ex turns up………… This book touched me on so many levels, I smiled and I swooned as I cheered this couple on.
Wish was so sweet with a touch of danger and the slowest of burns. I loved watching Zoey and Hunter fall for each other!
These two were both convinced that a relationship was not in the cards for them. Hunter is new to town and just wants to focus on his young daughter. He was such a good dad, fierce protector, and all around amazing man. Zoey has been hurt so badly and wasn't sure she'd ever trust a man again. I love how strong she was while also having such a caring heart. These two quickly fall for one another, but don't act on it right away. The slow burn was totally worth it! I loved everything about their story. This was such a bingeable book and I read it in one sitting. I can't wait for more of this series!!
I’ll be honest, I’ve never read any of this series before but I already knew within the first few chapters that I was going to love it and want to read the others before it.
I love that this family owns a tattoo shop. I love tattoos and have quite a few. I’m really into the show Inkmaster so this was really up my alley.
I really love Hunter, Zoey and little Amira. I can’t wait to go back and read about past family members and of course I’m looking forward to the future ones as well.
If you’re like me and haven’t read any of this series before I don’t feel like I missed anything or that anything was spoiled from previous books. This was one of my favorites that I’ve read this year.
Love The Gallos. This is a great addition to their couples and families. Zoey has no interest, so she says, in the family and marriage things. Hunter, her hot neighbour, has moved to Chicago to be near his young daughter and his ex is going through cancer treatment. He is employed in the family tattoo business. His sister is a little devious at interfering and being Matchmaker. In true Gallo fashion, a relationship plays out in full view and with approval of everyone. This does not have much drama to it, but concentrates on the main characters and personalities, drawing the reader on to the sidelines. Very much a family affair.
Wish is book four in the Men of Inked Sinners series written by the amazing author Chelle Bliss. This is Zoey Gallo and Hunter Evans captivating romance story. Prepare to fall in love with Hunter, little Amira and Zoey, sit back and enjoy the ride. Once I started reading I didn't want to put this novel down. This story was everything you could want and more! I love the way Chelle writes. Every book I have read of hers since then has been fantastic. I am absolutely over the moon over these two! Can't wait for more, maybe Mason's book next!! Tropes; single dad stalker close proximity meddling family neighbors to lovers tattoos
Talk about a slow burn! I knocked Wish out in hours because I had to know what was going to happen between Hunter and Zoey. Hunter is Zoey Gallo's new next door neighbor, but they quickly learn their connections go even further. Zoey isn't interested in a relationship after what happened the last time, and Hunter is only in Chicago to be close to his daughter. Yet those connections... the chemistry they share is too much to deny, and a few twists along the way kept me turning the page to see what was going to happen next.
"I never thought I'd trust someone again, but Hunter's made that possible. He's safe. I feel that deep down in my bones."
"I stare down at her as she stares up at me. And all I see is my future."
It's been a while since I've read the Gallo series, and it brought me right back to where I remember it from. The family is big and loud, in a good way. The banter is great between the cousins and the story was sweet. The intensity I was not expecting and it ramped up my page turning ... faster! Loved these two characters, Zoey and Hunter and definitely this series. It's all about the cookies.
Wish is book four in the series and a good read. Zoey Gallo wasn't looking for a relationship after a string of disappointments. But then she meets her new neighbor Hunter. Hunter is new to the city after moving to be closer to his little girl. He is now also working for Zoey's cousin Tate. Zoey and Hunter had a spark from the start. Hunter was a great guy and swoony. Zoey was sweet and sassy. Loved them both. They were perfect for each other!
I don’t think it’s possible to give a Chelle Bliss book less tha 5 stars. I have said it many times before but she always gets me out of a reading slump.
Single dad Hunter moves to Chicago to be closer to his daughter. The day he moves in he has to borrow a vacuum from his neighbor and it’s kismet.
Zoey and Hunter were super cute together, neither one was ready for a relationship at all. But i think this relationship found them. He is honestly the sweetest guy ever, and perfect for Zoey. After everything each of them have been through in the past this is exactly what they needed. It was exactly what i needed on this cold day before Christmas
Zoey may have closed her heart, until Hunter moves next door. Can they both overcome their objectives and be together? Or will their past try too hard to keep them apart? I absolutely love the Gallo's and Zoey and Hunter are so cute! This has the single dad, stalker, and close proximity tropes that leaves you wanting more!
