Logan "Unbreakable" Kellar finally has everything he's always wanted in life. When a career opportunity, that could jeopardize everything, comes along, he's put back in the position where he's spent most of his life. Torn. Now, Logan has a hard hitting choice to make. Tell the only girl he's ever loved exactly what he's feeling or fall back on old habits and keep his feelings on the Hush.
This is the book I was waiting for in this series. We finally get to see Maxx and Logan together without so much outside interference. We get to see them as a couple and they have other struggles and worries to navigate other than trying to decide if they should be with each other.
I really enjoyed the addition of another character in this one, and I think others will too. The character isn't entirely new just the focus is more so on them and I liked how it played.
I'm not going to say much of anything as my reviews I do try to keep spoiler free. Just that this is turning out to be one of those series that you cannot wait to pick up the next book and see what happens next. It has familiar elements to it without being too "been there read that", which I really appreciate. If you are thinking about reading this one please do!!!!
Logan is well as we know sexual but he takes that to a whole new level where Maxx is concerned, "carefully, I slide my body across his, and yank the noisemaker up right as it stops. Son of a b****. Logan's hips roll under me as he says on a yawn. "Seriously? Again? We just had sex like an hour ago." Our girl Maxx likes to tease Logan so it's always fun when that happens because well it's Logan we like him to suffer sometimes, "his d*** twitches like it heard me, so I wiggle to let it know we're on the same page. Logan growls and gives me a good pop on the a**, which leaves a little bit of a sting." If you haven't guessed it from the other books you'll notice Logan is seriously an a** man like he's slapping Maxx's a**, here, there everywhere he can get his hands on that a**, "rolling his eyes he yanks up his shorts, pops me on the a**, and chuckles. "Make me some money, woman!" Something was totally up with Maxx this time around actually there was three or four things, I would love to list them to know what to be on the lookout for but that would a buzzkill so just remember to pay attention to this book for little clues as to what's going down, and I don't mean Logan, he's always going down on Maxx.
Xavier, woman you are killing me with this series! I don't think that even if you wrote 20 books, I would ever get enough of Maxx and Logan!
Now on to try to write a review that doesn't give to much away....
Xavier continues to bring to life Logan and Maxx's story and she does such an amazing job at it. You just connect with all the characters and you feel like their your best friends too. I just want to sit in Xavier's head for a day just to listen to what these characters talk about all day (kind of creepy I know, but hey it's the truth)
You get to know Maxx and Logan a little more too in this book. You learn things you didn't know before and you love these two even more. I think that bringing the Kid into the family helped them see things a little differently.
I will say this though, that ending! UGH seriously, you can't let the book end with that! Now I'm going to be nervously bitting my fingernails (which I don't do by the way) dying to find out what you have next for these two.
Xavier..... I just love how you are able to pull us into your story and actually include us. It's just amazing how well it flows together and how addicting these books are. Like I've said before, you are the goddess of the written word!
I'm left hangin with heart bumping, hate this feeling and love it at the same time.
Love this series, Logan is so alpha, dominant protective & hot, love the arguments the make up sex the jokes the family bond they all have, its such a great series.
I want to get to the end but don't at the same time I enjoy reading about all the guys so much.
Why do you hit me with a good one every time? Well this was f***ing great girl. You out did yourself on this one, it made me cry and laugh again lol. Xavier ur one crazy cool chick... Luv ya
I didn’t think it was possible to love Logan and Maxx any more than I did already, but Xavier has proved me wrong. Wonderful, fantastic, phenomenal…just a few of the words to describe this book! Hush picks up where Numb left off. Life seems to be going great for Logan and Maxx. Their romance is back on track, and they have taken “The Kid” aka Dean into their family. But, of course, life sometimes has habit of changing course on you. How will the changes affect Logan and Maxx? And, that fellow readers, is all I am going to say. You have to read the book to find out!
Again, Xavier does a phenomenal job of connecting her readers with the characters she creates. When I read her books, I am truly in Maxx’s and Logan’s world. I feel like one of their closest and most trusted confidantes. I know their secrets before anyone else, and I LOVE that!!!! In Hush, readers will see more of the Maxx and Logan’s past which really affects the way they relate to each other. While the sex was off the charts HOT (I mean…come on…we are talking about Logan here!), it was sweet and touching too.
As always, I loved seeing how the rest of the crew was doing! And I must say, I love the addition of “The Kid” to the mix. He is like a mini-Logan! He brings out the best in all of the characters. They were always a family, but he brings them closer together. As I have written in almost every review for Xavier, this woman has heaps of talent! Her ability to make her characters jump off the page and become real to her readers is amazing. This is what keeps me coming back for more! There is a twist at the end that kind of leaves you hanging, but it just has me waiting on pins and needles for the next book! SO HURRY UP, XAVIER!!! Seriously, for those readers who haven’t discovered this gem of a writer, what are you waiting for?
***PS Xavier, loved the shout out to Selena!***
Book Reviewed for Devilishly Delicious Book Reviews
I’ve picked my heart back up and pieced it back together with barely enough time to collect my thoughts before I am ankle deep in Logan and Maxx again. This series is highly addictive… you have been warned! The book is as usual centred around the now blossoming romance that Logan and Maxx have going on but there are other things afoot that Maxx isn’t aware of yet and in which Logan shows that he is much more than those around him perhaps perceive. Some of the other characters also show that they have more than originally we would have though and I have to say that the developments with CJ were a fabulous introduction to the storyline. Logan’s determination to do right by the “kid” and the steps and measures that he puts in place are quite simply amazing, his heart knows no bounds and his determination to save the boy from a life that he know only too well left me speechless. Once again, Xavier allowed me to learn a lot more about my two favourite people and to just get more comfortable with them being together, but then again like their whole relationship the end was a real kicker and while I hope that they can make the future work, life is determined not to make it easy for them.
Oh, man! Getting back to this series was so freaking great. Xavier's style, her flavor, is just so dang fun. I loved every page of it, and I especially loved the fact that Logan and Maxx were finally a bona fide couple. *Happy sigh* It was so delish watching them interact and enjoy themselves like two people who earned it should. And I absolutely loved the addition of Dean. What a cool element to an already fantastic story line. He gives the course of their lives a neat new spin that does nothing but add a vibe of happy to the mix. *Second dreamy sigh* Of course, Luke and Erin are ever their magnificent selves (God, I cant wait to get to that boy's story!), giving us plenty to snicker and giggle over. Then again, the stuff looming on the horizon definitely provides that necessary level of angst to drive the story forward with the fear of their future's ultimate fate. Great characters, strong story, super-sexy exchanges, and utterly fantastic dialogue as usual. Xavier certainly knows how to deliver the fun. On to SAVOR!
Am loving this series, 4th book in and I'm just as invested in the story as i was in the beginning, a lot of the time with series I find the 2nd,3rd ect don't live up to expectations, but that doesn't apply here, just keeps getting better and better
In this book Logan and Maxx are at last in a good place, am loving these 2 together, great chemistry but of course things transpire that are going to test their relationship...
I am absolutely LOVING the introduction of Dean in the story, what a great character he is.The dialogue between him Logan and Maxx is just BRILLIANT and you can really feel their close relationship developing
Note to Author.... Please fast forward a few years and give us a spin off/companion story about Dean!!! And of course, I've mentioned in a previous review, that I'm practically panting for Luke's story....I've got a really HOT nerdy image of Luke in his glasses with his knitting needles ....or is that just my dirty mind??
Keep up the good work girl and bring on the next one !!
On the same long cry from me, Logan lets himself go as well, bursting inside me like his hopes and dreams have all anchored themselves in there. ........That wasn't even sex. That was a goodbye...wasn't it?
NADBB has long been a huge fan of Xavier Neal. We're a huge fan of this series and we wait for book after book like a fat kid wanting candy.
SYNOPSIS:
This is another installment of Max and Logan. Logan finally thinks he has it all under control but when he falls back into an old pattern of holding his feelings in will he lose the woman he loves? Will she finally walk away?
THE REVIEW: The Good:
No one writes Alpha's like the wonderful Xavier. They're entertaining and hot as hell and they make us want more. This is just further proof of why she is a go to author for us. Hot sexy men, hot sexy scenes, women who give as good as they get. What's not to love right?
The Bad: Dang Cliffhanger! But don't worry I hear Savor is right around the corner.
This series has been one hell of a roller coaster. I'm a little numb about Logan and Maxx's situation. I had a feeling about what was wrong and it turns out i was right. Was what Maxx didnt say to Logan wrong, no. She was doing was she did best. Giving him more than keeping it for herself, just what she did with her cupcakes) My heart broken for her and i cried (fyi, im at work reading and had to wipe my eyes quick when i was needed). Just wow! One of the best series I have read and I have read a lot of books this year( 211 to be exact!) ps. Thank you Xavier for ripping my heart out of my chest and crushing in!! <3
I have no idea how the author can keep making the series better with each book, but she more than manages.
If you would like to know what I enjoyed about this book I would get sued for plagerism. Every comma, quotation mark, and period would be listed right HERE!!!
If you would like to know what I did not enjoy....well, I doubt you'd want to stare at a blank page.
The story kicks off with the mystery question that left me on edge at the end of Numb. I was swooning from the start. The first few chapters in Hush are my absolute favorite. Of course, the graphic adult scenes do have something to do with it. I felt like I was experiencing first love all over again. That's probably one of the reasons this series is one of my favorite's. The storyline has something for most people to relate to and the characters are hilarious. They bring to you a sense of "coming home."
The end is another cliffhanger to make it impossible not to purchase Savor when it releases. It's a major one!
OMG need more Logan, I'm not going to make it!! Holy hotness, Xavier knows no bounds when she writes, as the series continues you can't help fall in love with her characters even more. Logan and Maxx have finally gave into their feelings, and everything is fine and dandy, until one thing could rip them apart *** bitting my nails ***. Ladies, watch out cause Dean is going to melt your heart, and as for C.J and Erin you really can't get any better banter than theirs. As always, Xavier gives us a funny and provocative story that will grip your heart and leave you wanting more. It is going to be heartbreaking when this story is at it's end, but Xavier it has been a fun ride, and I can't wait to Bonnie and Clyde it with you to the end!!! ❤️ you chicka!
I'm not normally a fan of serials, but man I've really enjoyed this one and I love the fact that Xavier hasn't had a long delay between each installment.
Hush kicks off right from where Numb ended. It was really nice to see Maxx and Logan get some happy time and of course their chemistry is off the charts. Of course,it wouldn't be a Senses series book if it didn't leave us on tenterhooks at the end with a cliffy.
Hush is a quick snappy story with a great ensemble of charatcers.
I'm really looking forward to the conclusion of Maxx and Logan's story and hopefully a new story for Erin & Luke seeing as they've clearly both got a story to tell.
I received this for an honest review... I was so excited to read this next installment in this series.. This is series is fast becoming one of my favorites. I LOVE Logan and Maxx. I truly think they are the best book couple I have seen in awhile. I really love these books just for the fact that you just don't know what is going to happen next.. In this book you really see Logan show himself more as a good guy... These characters really just make me laugh. The secondary characters are so wonderful and I can really see them as the family unit they have built together.... Of course this is a book you can not read without reading the first 3 in the series... LOVE LOVE LOVE
There is really no doubt when it comes to reading Logan and Maxx' story that it would be a one-sitting read for me. I must say in this book we will see a little more mature Logan and Maxx. I love their sense of responsibility when it comes taking care of Dean. This books has usual Xavier Neal trademark —hot, funny, inspiring and well a little bit cliffy(but tolerable). I also like how I saw a different Luke and Tony in here. As. much as I want to discuss the things I love about this book, I need to stop or I might spoil it for others. I can't wait for the next book to come!
Oh my... Where do I start? I absolutely LOVE Maxx and Logan's story. I just finished and I'm not gonna lie I cried. I can't really say too much with out ruining it. Xavier Neal is absolutely brilliant! Savor can not come fast enough! I am waiting on pins and needles for it! I know that Xavier won't disappoint because she never does! I can also see many more stores coming out from this series that I can only hope for. Way to go Xavier once again you hit it out of the park with this one. I just know that their conclusion in Savor will be epic!
I really enjoy how Xavier Neal includes the readers and makes her character interact with the readers....so this last cliffhanger I was expecting....This last book I believe is my favorite of the series because Maxx and Logan were finally together throughout most of the story and I have been waiting for them to finally be official since book 1 and everything else that is going on around them is such a interesting story makes you want to read more...can't wait for the final book in the series...
Oh I can't keep hush about this book. I loved it. Best so far. When Logan and Maxx finally figure something's out it touches your soul. Throwing a teenager in the mix of the house was almost the best thing they could have done. Then the continue of Logan's fighting was great. The ending though... I want to pull my hair out waiting for the next book. Love it. Thanks for writing it
OMG! The ending! I can't right now! I need the next book "Savor" to come out now!! I am loving this series and I need to know what is going to happen next! I highly recommend all the characters are awesome and I love the story line! Defiantly worth the read, they just keep getting better and better!
Still loving this series. Maxx and Logan finally get together for real and they complete their family by adopting a kid. Such a smokin' hot couple and the sex is awesome. Of course there is the inevitable cliffhanger but still a great read.
I LOVE Maxx and Logan's story, and can't help but wonder (and hoping) if Erin and Luke won't be getting their own series or book?! Savor can not come fast enough!
While I still love this story there seemed to be less of it and more sex. It of course has another cliffhanger, Xavier you're killing me here, but the next installment always seem to come quick.
