Light and sweet, mostly

The female main character was one of triplets and even though she mentions once or twice that she feels like part of the set and not a standout I didn't feel it. She didn't feel very insecure to me, but we also don't get too much focus on her family.

Duke Stone is aptly named as his personality is quite the same, he is stoic and taciturn but underneath there is a heart of gold and some unknown charm. This is extra obvious by the time jumps we get where the relationship progresses in our absence so we mostly see the changes and they're already being treated as the new normal.

The conflict in this is mostly from their relationship, the misunderstandings and small fights. From the beginning we get some secrets they're not sharing and when they talk about them they're quickly followed by a new secret for no good reason except to provide a little more conflict before the final reveal of a bad guy.

In conclusion, this was an ok read, entertaining enough but nothing groundbreaking.

This is a lengthy but fascinating tale that I thoroughly enjoyed. Duke Theo is a closed person. He has few friends and few words. When the duke and Lady April's brother decided to marry her to the duke, trouble arose. Lady April, one of the family's triplets, has no interest in marrying such a somber person. Finally, she agrees to five meetings (or dates), and then she will give her answer. What bothers her is, "Why me?" There are three identical daughters, what makes her the chosen one?

The author does a brilliant job of leaving slight hints and clues about Theo. He cannot tell the other two sisters apart, but he knows April. When we discover why he chose her, everything starts to fall into place. This is a delightful story with lots of intrigue and mystery. I could not put this book down and read it in a matter of hours.

His entire world

I love Theo and April's story, so heartbreaking yet so warm! Theo is a man driving by revenge, but he never forgot the little girl who befriended him when she was little more than a baby. A embroidery hackerchief she made him, as a gift, kept him ackered in the real world. And April remembered the young Lord from her childhood, and how she wanted him to have a gift at Christmas time so he wouldn't feel alone.
Thank you! This story is one of , resilience, and vengeance, hope., faith and everything in-between. 💞

A Treasured Love

Lady April has managed to catch the Duke of Stone, though she will do just about anything to dissuade his suit. Theo had perfected the guise of a man without feeling. You would, too, if your family had been murdered right before your eyes. And when you've lost so much, a tiny spark of care and concern just might transform a stone cold arranged marriage into the most precious and adventurous love story. This book has all the best parts! Mystery, romance, redemption, and most of all, a love worth reading about!

A man who gives one word answers and a woman who wants to know everything. April is a bright light and Theo is a brooding man. Yet, they are just what the other needs! This is a lovely story and very romantic. For a man who promised no romance, he turned out to be one of the most romantic men of all! The story achieves the delicate balance of being sensual yet clean.
I like the flashbacks in the story, too. They are told well.

She will be his bride!

A very enjoyable book, has it all mystery, adventure and romance! Although Duke Theo has no place in his heart for romance or closeness. And April is informed that she will be his bride, she can’t figure why her, she is one of triplets, and there are more beautiful ladies out there! Takes some trials and a mystery but the happy ending is worth it!
