With his tough demeanor and biker appearance, nobody would ever believe that drummer Mack was still grieving the loss of the only woman he ever loved. On yet another anniversary of her passing, Mack takes to the road to grieve and hate the world.
Laura Pettres only knows how to run. Commitment is not an option because that means moving on… and moving on means letting go and forgetting what she lost. Out of hope – and out of gas – she’s on the side of the road waiting for a sign.
It’s supposed to be nothing more than an understanding. Two people who are in pain but enjoy each other’s company. A rockstar and a brokenhearted woman. Can their two hearts be mended around the emptiness and the pain from loss that won’t go away?
I really loved it. The intensity of so much pain was crushing, but the ability to overcome was rehabilitating. Very good story, and nice way to conclude and move on to the next. I can't wait
Each book in this series pulls you in from the first page. The bands are talented, sexy, and full of their own angst. It is so fun to see which type of woman appeals to each member and how they make things work with life on the road and the business side of the music. Karolyn James knows about music and the knowledge makes the stories seem even more real.
Five stars for the characters and the story. Minus two stars for all the errors, bad grammar, weird sentences, and missing words. Enough errors that it just about ruined the reading experience. Please, please, please get an editor or make the corrections reported by your ARC readers. This is a problem I've had with just about every book I've read by Karolyn James.
This was an amazing ending to yet another amazing series in The Brothers of Rock... Could not have asked for a better love story... Can't wait to read the next series to follow. I would read anything by Karolyn James!
Wow! What an emotional romance between Mack and Laura, loved Mack's story and loved reading along with the rest of the band. This series is awesome and a must read
