this 1 was good...and the kid is obsessed with sharks so to have it focus on something that doesn't normally get a lot of attention was nice.

I love the Magic School Bus books. Legomeister loved these for years, and now Little Miss is starting to request them.

The Scholastic Readers are nice for bedtime stories because they're shorter, and of course, they're great for early readers. They're more difficult than some easy readers, a little longer with more challenging words. The writing feels choppy; that's a side effect of simplifying it. But I think they do a good job of keeping the story fun and informative. They definitely hold the interest of my Magic School Bus Fans.

Ms. Frizzle and the kids travel to the ocean depths to discover the secret behind the "mermaid's purse" that Keesha found. This book tells all about sharks, with enough detail to entertain children and demystify these creatures. They depict sharks as creatures that can be dangerous, but who don't typically target humans for their food. It's an entertaining Magic School Bus story, as always, and our girls really enjoyed it.
