Full disclosure, I have a very difficult time talking myself into picking up the final book in a series. Not because I think it won't live up to the rest of the series or anything, but because I don't want to let series I've enjoyed go. So I'm patting myself on the back for convincing my unruly brain to dive in and watch it all play out.

And BOY did Anna have a lot to deal with. I mean, the PTK case has stumped the police and driven a dedicated homicide detective out of the force because not being able to catch the killer ate at him until he couldn't handle it. Nate's healed since those early days, but every time the PTK claims another victim his failure in stopping them hits him all over again.

Now PTK has come to the island and Anna is absolutely not going to sit idly by when she's 100% sure the police have arrested the wrong person. She starts following clues and her gut and puts herself in danger to find the truth.

No lie, this was a solid ending to Anna's series. She got closure on more than one front, saved the day (again!), and helped keep someone who matters to her out of prison. GOOD STUFF all around.

This was a really exciting, intense ending to the Frostfall Island series! Anna’s past and present come together in a crazy way that threatens her future happiness.

I really felt satisfied with the ending to the PTK subplot. However, I was a bit taken aback by the overall conclusion of the series and I’m not sure how I feel about a certain character’s actions at the very end. It felt a bit disappointing and made me think a lot less of one of the characters in the end.

Overall, I really liked this conclusion to the series and how everyone came together to help our main characters in the end. I’m glad we didn’t see much of a certain obnoxious character and just got to focus on the boarding house family.

Absolutely wonderful. There are so many surprises and ups and downs. the ending was such a surprise and so good. Lots of guessing who the killer really is. If you haven't read the whole series, you need to. Miss Lovett is an awesome writer. Enjoy.

I loved this book by London Lovett and am sorry to see this is the last book in the Frostfall Island series. This series tells the story of a serial killer who has stalked the small Island as well as off the island in the different books.

Anna St James lives on the island and has been running a little boarding house for years. The city right across from them has been hit by many murders by the Pillow Talk Killer for many years, and unfortunately the killer strikes again-on their island!
In the past, Anna has solved many murders that happened on their island, but this time this murder strikes at the heart of Anna.

At the end of the book the author throws in a twist that leaves the suspense extreme to the end!
I have read this entire series and am sorry to see it end, and it can be read as a standalone, but I read them in order which is the best way!
I gave this book 5 stars and can't wait to read more by this author.

Here is the reading order for this series
Book 1: Murder at North Pond
Book 2: Death by Rocky Road
Book 3: Ice Cold Killer
Book 4: Bakery Bump Off
Book 5: Harvest Moon Misfortune
Book 6: Candlelit Calamity
Book 7: Killing at the Kite Fair
Book 8: Pillow Talk Killer

3.5 I am sad to see two series by this author ending so close to one another. But I am glad we got this closure to the series. I had a hard time with the ending of some of the personal relationships, I think as the final book this one could have used a little more length wise. I would have loved an epilogue telling us we’re all the boarders were years in the future. I did like seeing so much of them in this book. They are such a good cast of characters. I also didn’t love the mystery as it felt like there were really so few suspects. But I am gonna miss this group of people. I love Cora, I hope she got a billionaire and no prenup next time.

This has been one of my favorite series by London Lovett. The quirky characters and fun family they have built!! I hated to see the conclusion of the series, but it was an amazing one and I loved the ending. I had in my mind from book one who I thought the PTK was, and I never ever even slightly imagined who it was, but I loved how Anna even had the same thought at one point in the final book.
I will not give any spoilers but boy was I surprised! I simply adored the ending!!! Thanks for the ARC!!!

It took me a while to read this book mostly due to the fact that it’s the last book in a series that I have been loving!
I had high hopes for this book. Don’t get me wrong, I love the characters. But I feel like I had kind of guessed who the killer would be back in the previous book. I was right, which should make me happy but I felt like I just saw it coming.
And, as happy as I am about the ending, I’m also slightly disappointed because it felt really rushed. I’m glad it turned out the way it did and I’m a little sad to be leaving these characters behind.

Another great story

What a great story. So many twists and turns. I certainly did not expect the resolution. In retrospect, it all fits. The author has a talent for coming up with tons of casually delicious details and visuals. My only regret is that this appears to be the end of this saga and I have already read all of the other wonderful London Lovett books. I eagerly look forward to the next one.

Pillow Talk Killer is a good book in the Frostfall series. It was a roller coaster of emotions while reading. The mystery is quite intense, and I didn’t guess the killer until close to the end of the book. London is great at writing real characters with relatable emotions. The way she describes food makes my mouth water. I recommend this book and series.

Suspenseful and Exciting
The PTK killer has reached the island. I held my breath often and even cried once. The people are so real and pull you right into the story. Masterful wordsmithing kept me reading to the end. I really enjoyed the story and a wonderful ending. I received my copy as a gift and I loved reading it.

Enjoyed it, though one character’s choices/actions and Anna’s response to that at the end of the story threw me off. And I was hoping for more details on what happened to a certain arrogant character, especially with the buildup of sorts. The ending felt kind of abrupt and kind of disjointed, for lack of a better word.

great book

This was one of my favorite series. I loved the characters and the mystery. I was happy with the ending. I so wish this wasn’t the final book in the series.

Love this book! Really got into it! Hate to see the series end! Also, there's 226 pages, not 303 pages.

The final book in the Frostfall Island series and what a lovely ending it was, although I will dearly miss the characters and series. Anna's life gets turned upside down when Nate is arrested for the PTK murders. This case has been unsolved for over a decade but Anna is determined to clear Nate's name.

I've really enjoyed the evolution of the characters. I think Cora had a really good character arc and I've grown quite fond of her. Opal is such a fun and quirky character and I enjoyed seeing a bit more of her nurturing side. I missed seeing Winston as much, but glad he made an appearance. Then there is final closure with Michael and the ending to that story. And what a story that was! Although I really thought there would be more story with Michael in it, for such a long story arc, the explanation felt fast. I started this series with an entirely different view of Michael than when I ended the series. I liked the more complex story line and how everything came together at the end. I won't spoil the book, but I like the ending of the PTK and how all that came about. Definitely unexpected. I really thought the PTK was a good resolution and I loved that it was unexpected.

Not quite sure how I feel about the ending yet. It was a lot of emotions at once. I liked it but I'm also feeling some disappointment in a character and then also happiness at how the book ended.

I've really enjoyed the series and I'm sad this is the last book. But all good things have to end at some point. Thank you to London for creating such a wonderful, fictional world with a fun cast of characters to lose myself in. This will be a series to reread in the future.
