I’m a magnet for evil and controlling men. Chase, my big business tycoon and love of my life, thinks he can protect me…he can’t.

No one can.

It became clear far too late how serious my stalker was, that his threats weren’t idle. He proved more than once that he would do what it takes, that there were no stakes too high to his sick and twisted games and delusions of worship.

We should have been better prepared. The roses, images, lingerie soaked in his seed, even his calling card written in blood didn’t penetrate. I had faith that my love could make it go away, that eventually he’d be caught.

I was wrong.

***

In the second highly anticipated erotic suspense novel in the Trinity Trilogy, MIND digs deep into the heart and psyche of Gillian and her stalker through dueling POVs.

While Chase and Gillian plan their wedding, follow them and the entire gang as the stalker acts out his revenge and plots his attack on Gillian, Chase, and their friends.

This book can be considered dark, erotic, and thrilling. As in Body (Trinity Trilogy Book 1) the issue of domestic violence plays heavily in the storyline, and Gillian experiences many disturbing flashbacks of the past, alongside tragedy the stalker brings to the present. There is also a lot of love, devotion, and friendship.

This book is designed for audiences 18+ due to language, graphic sexual content, and themes that some may find disturbing. MIND is book 2 of a three-part trilogy. Body (Trinity Trilogy - Book 1) must be read prior to reading MIND.

Today the ARCS for Mind went out! Book releases on December 29, 2014! Prepare to be thrilled, turned on, tainted, and tempted all at the same time! This novel is book 2 in the Trinity Trilogy and starts exactly one week after Body (Trinity Trilogy Book 1) ends. It is by far the most suspenseful piece of work I've ever done. I hope you enjoy the alternating POVs from Gillian "Gigi" our heroine and her psychotic stalker noted as "X" until the truth is revealed. Enjoy the ride, it's definitely a wild one...

You've been warned.

11 Twisty Stars but 5 on here

I was given this book for my honest review

The infamous gobstopper candy is one of many growing up as a child we have all tried at one time or another. Remembering the candy ball shaped that had many layers of different fruit sweet tastes. As one flavor begins to fade another enlightened our tongues whether it is a sweet or sometimes a sour taste we all had the same wanting THE MIDDLE. See the middle of this most outrageous savoring of all treats had a very tangy surprise in the middle we couldn’t wait upon. When finally getting to the middle its pure euphoria.

This is the 2nd book in this AMAZING Trinity Trilogy the 1st is Body and has to be read first.

Chase-hunky and determined

Gillian-pretty and stubborn at times

X-?????

Chase and Gillian’s journey continues as turmoil seems to strike at every turn with them will they be able to make it to finding their forever? Chase is so very determined to keep Gillian safe from the one person that thinks they can destroy this couple but as Chase’s love grows stronger each day for Gillian the devotion is such explosive that it goes beyond words. Gillian is so in love with Chase that even if she were to wear blinders she would still feel the explosions within her heart for this man.

As this journey also continues with Chase and Gillian her friends begin to be targets for the unknown. Chase however is right there with the supportive and protective role not just for Gillian but to her friends as well. This journey is so touching and loving between them all that even as the sunrises and sets each day so does the yearning for the anomaly to be taken out of the equation.

The sex between Gillian and Chase is still so explosive, lava flowing, sun bursting hot that you will need to read this 2nd book in an ice house for sure. Did I mention that a proposal has been asked? What is the answer is the question does Gillian say Yes or will the No be afloat? Hmmm you so have to pick up this book.

X is still the unknown but to why this man is doing what he is doing will remain a mystery to the very last page and then we still might not have the answer but you will definitely have a surprise cause when you think you know whom it is think again that is all I am saying 

To the author: Ummm you have me at a loss for words. Do I say thank you? Do I say you have done it again and continue too? Do I mention that with the words that you write become more and more explosive with each strike of the keyboard? Or do I just say nothing and just smile? You keep this reviewer enthralled with every book that I have read that you have written. You hold my attention from the very first word and don’t let go even when tears arise. Awesome

To the readers: Enjoy this amazing 2nd read I for one can’t wait for the next.

Happy Reading

I am a huge Audrey Carlan fan and this book did not disappoint. Mind is the 2nd book in the Trinity Trilogy and continues with Chase and Gigi's story. This book takes off and goes at an erotic mystery filled pace. I love how Audrey writes her characters. They burst to life and you are able to slip right into the world she has written. This book made my cry and cuss. The sex is sizzling and left me squirming in my seat. Once again, Ms. Carlan delivers with vivid stunning color. Thank you Audrey Carlan!!!

Wow this book was amazing it had my heart pumping so fast! I loved it so much the mystery is crazy addicting trying to figure out who the stalker is and the reveal! I was so not expecting who the stalker was. I became so invested in the story that several times while reading I exclaimed in surprise, horror or joy making family and friends wonder what the heck I was reading that got me so riled up! The book ends on a cliffhanger so be warned you will want to scream GIMME BOOK 3 RIGHT NOW! A great addition to the series I can't wait to see how Audrey outdoes herself in the final book.

This book was a roller coaster of emotions, highs and lows and it has left me an emotional wreck!! This is a particularly hard review to write as I don't want to give anything away, every single part of the book is crucial to the way it ends. Audrey has outdone herself and has wove mystery, friendship, and love together in another amazing book!! Now I will impatiently await book three!!

Buongiorno, lettrici.

Ti amo, Gillian.” E in quel preciso momento, so che staremo bene.

A presto.

I really am not sure how to write this review. For anyone who knows me, knows I always have SOMETHING to say. An opinion, a sarcastic reply, a thought about how things could be… And the fact that this book has rendered me quiet, should speak volumes. So I am just going to pretend I have the words to get through this!

Dear Audrey,
I am not sure if I love you a ton, or hate you twice as much.
Thank you for this series. It is a mind f**k and I love it. It is also steamy and explosive, sweet and bitter, and happy and angry.
Devlynn

This is the continuation of Gillian and Chase’s story. It still has all the awesome supporting characters from Body, and more twists, turns, and dips than a roller coaster.

There is so much emotion in this book, you will feel right along with the characters. You will have anxiety, warm feelings, and moments that make you squirm in your seat. How can you not feel connected to the characters when they are so well written? Simple answer, you can’t.

Why did I not give it 5 stars if I loved it so much? There were some moments in the book that seemed dragged out. Don’t get me wrong, the story was awesome, but I think some parts could have been condensed to make the parts flow better. ~ Devlynn, 4.5 stars

Before I started reading romance, I loved to read mystery novels above all. So, happily for me, Mind was a great combo of hotter-than-hot erotica and on-the-edge-of-your-seat suspense.

Gillian believed her new fiancé, Chase, when he said he would protect her from her obsessive, possessive stalker, but as the terror escalates and lives are put in danger, she starts to think maybe she was wrong... Will she, and the ones she love the most, pay the ultimate price?

I have to give praise to Audrey Carlan for giving this book the right balance of dark, fearful mystery and light, sexy fun. And although I thought I knew the identity of the stalker early on (I won't tell you if I was right or not, so you'll have to read and form your own opinion), I still very much enjoyed the cat-and-mouse game Gigi's stalker played with her and her family of friends.

I'll admit to struggling a little through the middle section of Mind, as I felt the story lagged and dragged a little, but possibly that's because of the right-out-of-the-gate suspense, and my very strong desire to know whodunnit?!
As with the first book in this series, Body, I was impressed with Ms. Carlan's depiction of friendship; the relationship between Gigi and her "soul sisters" was realistic and showed the true up and down nature of female friendship. One of the pleasures of this series so far has been the equal focus on the strong, loving females, not just on the sexy, Alpha male, Chase. Who, by the way, I am now kind of in love with, after taking some time to warm up to him.

I am now completely desperate for the third and final installment in this trilogy, Soul. After THAT ENDING, I am dying to know what's going to happen to Gigi, Chase and their friends.... Argh, the suspense is killing me already!! ~ Beth, 4 stars

So we get the continuation of Gillian and Chase’s story. This is the 2nd book in the Trinity trilogy so you do need to read the first one to appreciate this.

Gillian and Chase are now engaged and they are also dealing with the issue of Gillian’s stalker. This is a little darker than the first one as we also now get a glimpse into the stalker’s mind. And the intent doesn’t just involve Gillian alone.

As a read in its entirety, I admit I struggled a bit with it. After finished reading it, I thought about the reason why, and I realized my issue was Gillian herself. Throughout the book, I may have lost sight a little of why I should care what happens to her. I had to keep reminding myself why Chase is with her. I really felt I was empathetic to her whole plight because of her past, but some of her actions and thoughts drove me nuts so I sorta’ stopped getting why all those things are happening to her. Then those feelings kinda’ snowballed and spilled into how I felt about her friends, except Kat. I like her for some reason. Not that I didn’t care about what happened, but more like not having as much patience with some of their interactions.

Having said all that, I did feel for Gillian when she goes thru her episodes. They're difficult scenes and made my heart crack. No woman, and I mean NO woman, should ever, ever, experience that, but sadly, it happens.

And here’s what else I do like, in addition to Kat. I liked Austin too. And of course, there is Chase. OH, CHASE… He was definitely Gillian’s anchor during all this mess. He will and can do anything for Gillian and her friends, what more can a gal ask for, sigh…

I also did appreciate getting the stalker’s POV, which certainly amped up the suspense of it all. It had me on tenterhooks just knowing things are about to happen. I kinda’ figured it out who it was but it was still worth finding out in the end.

And the way it ended, I know I just have to read the finale. I have to!!!

Also bitte, wirklich?

Not for the faint of heart, Audrey Carlan’s latest, Mind tackles the barbed wire twists and tangles of the darker side of humanity, obsession, love, attraction and need. Chase is all things powerful and connected. He is an over-powering alpha protecting what is his. His money can buy the best protection for Gillian, or so he thinks and failure is not a word in his vocabulary. Still, Gillian’s stalker is out there, threatening her life and sending deadly warnings. Who will be his next victim? How does he ooze through Chase’s bodyguards? How tight will he pull the garrote around Gillian’s fragile psyche? Will she crumble like dust under the pressures of losing everyone she holds dear? Even Chase’s presence cannot hold back the tide of guilt and fear she feels. Its only when they are in the throes of passion that she can forget the world and the ugliness around her.

In this deadly game of cat and mouse, there can be only one winner, but who is Gillian trying to stay one step ahead of? Is her abusive and brutal ex, Jason really so demented that he thinks he can win her back through more violence? Only the truth may set her free, or get her killed. And the truth may come too late.

Audrey Carlan knows how to singe the edges of every page when her erotic pen sizzles and flares like a torch in a hurricane! Next to her age warning, she should put a fire hazard warning because more than sparks are flying when Chase and Gillian get behind closed doors and turn up the heat to scorching hot. Add to that, the changing POVs, the darkness of the stalker and the number of times he has tightened his noose and Ms. Carlan has put together an intriguing and seductive tale that only the strong can survive. She does not mince words in her efforts to build her world and each scene. Bold, straightforward and as edgy as it is dark, Mind is a sometimes uncomfortable, but always entertaining look into a world that few could truly live from the safety of your favorite chair.

Are the characters sometimes a bit over the top? Yes, but this is fiction, where anything can happen, no matter how raw, how tantalizing and even how terrorizing. When you enter Ms. Carlan’s world, expect to be taken on a journey you will not soon forget as she pushes the limits with every word.

I received an ARC edition from Audrey Carlan in exchange for my honest review.

I was hooked on this trilogy by about page 4 of Body. This second installment is amazing! I love where the story is going and I cannot wait to see how it ends. This book is a bit darker than the first one, and we get to crawl into the mind of Gillian’s stalker and see how he ticks. I could not put the book down, and in fact, I have read it more than once it is that good.

Now that Chase and Gillian are planning the wedding, things are moving quickly. She is going to move into the penthouse, and Maria is going to move into a condo. Security is tight around Gillian. The press is ripping into her, so the besos are rallying around her. Chase gets his way and is moving the wedding from a year to only six weeks away. The stalker has her apartment wired and hears this, which kicks his plans into high gear. But they do not know that the bad guy is going to take all of her friends away from her so that Gillian will only have him to turn to. And the starker has no problems with other people getting caught in the crossfire.

When one of the group is targeted and gets hurt by a bomb, Gillian’s world gets turned on its head. Someone of their group has a surprising announcement, and with the wedding on hold, Gillian’s demons come back. Between the flashbacks and the nightmares, she is a mess. The whole group is taken through hell and back with the stalker working hard at eliminating each of them. And he might just succeed. But Gillian and Chase might be focusing on the wrong person. When their target tears into their world and is thwarted, they might have let their guard down too much, and the happiest day of Gillian’s life might not be so.

I loved this book and I cannot wait for the next one. The cliffhanger nearly had me chucking my kindle across the room. I knew it would happen, but it still had me catching my breath. This is a great trilogy, and if you love sexy men, feisty women, and a huge dose of suspense, grab this book. It is full of surprises and twists and turns.

This book 2 literally does pick up and carry on where Body left off. And immediately you're back with Gillian and Chase. Now in all truth I found Gillian a little hard to digest sometimes this time. She's strong and digs her heels in and yet then lets people get all up in her face. I wanted her to scream at Bree when Bree was being a bitch but she didn't. But thankfully it all worked out anyway so that was cool.

Oh my I still am completely enamoured with Chase! Blimey he's a dish best served morning noon and night. Although there was a tad over load of his sexual antics this time around. My reduction in star for book two is based on this, the first quarter of the book had not so much going on this time around and it wasn't till later when it kicked up a gear that instead of worrying if I was turning the page to another sex scene I was avidly turning the page to find out what was going to happen next.

Now by far and away the bestest bit of Mind is 'The Stalker' oh my freakin god he has you riveted with his twisted mind, he's the glue for me in this book, I'm already in love with Chase, I'm getting annoyed with Gillian, the BESOS are just being the girls, the mother in law is just being on overbearing ass...... but 'The Stalker' is being prime time material indeed.

I cannot wait to find out what happens next, I hope and pray I can up back up to five stars and end this trilogy with a bang, but Audrey, darling please lighten up a tad on the sex, you know it's only making us jealous of what Gillian's getting! Also the juxtaposition of sexual content in the some of the scenes could do with a little looking at, the petals of her sex do not really work with the 'C' word ending in 't' and the graphicness of harder sex.... well that's my opinion anyway.

All in all I am thoroughly glad I am reading these books, I hope we are able to conclude with Audrey and tour with book three, that would be brilliant because both myself and Rob are 100% invested in this series and we have had some great background conversations about it.

"I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads."

This is the second installment in Chase and Gigi's story - and after the engagement in book one, now we move towards the wedding. Her stalker is really not pleased at this development, and he makes that abundantly clear. As with the first book, I find there to be really enjoyable, believable moments, and then ones which are just too much. Chase is SO perfect that it can be difficult to accept that he is real - wonderful but sometimes so much that it draws me out of the story. Their unfailing security in each other can be more cloying that intense. Part of the issue is a very flowery writing style, which is not to my usual taste. That said, there is passion, tension and plenty of drama - how this will conclude in book 3 is definitely on my mind.

This is book two in the Trinity Trilogy. Make sure you read book one first as this is the continuation of Chase and Gigis story. As soon as this hit my kindle I sat and inhaled it. This is a really gripping and angsty story.
The author certainly knows how to capture your heart with her great way with words. I literally had goosebumps reading this book. The mystery of the stalker, X, had me sitting at the edge of my seat biting my nails.
This author had me shouting at my kindle on more than one occasion. Roll on March for book three. Love love love this series.

Thanks Wicked Reads for a free book to read and review.

This is the second book in the Trinity Trilogy, and not a stand alone. We left off with an engagement and now we are planning the wedding. A wedding that someone doesn't want to happen. Gillian's stalker goes to grave methods to keep her apart from Chase but it only seems to bind them closer. I liked the synopsis but I just could not get serious about this book. Some of the sexual moments came out of something bad happening and for me it just didn't fit. Overall entertainment is three stars.

This is book 2 of this series and is a continuation of Chase and Gillian's story. It's hard to give a review without giving anything away but there are lots of ups and downs and it was extremely hard to put this book down. There is a lot of suspense but it's needed in order to tell the characters' stories. Definitely a must read! Can't wait until the next book is released!

I am beyond addicted to this series. I can’t say it enough. I have not been this swept up into a series in quite some time. This book world is giving me everything with what Audrey Carlan has created with Chase and Gillian, and I am here for all of it. The danger, the emotion, the spice and connection, and just everything these character share is pulling me in fiercely and I am hooked. I literally read the first two books in the series in one day because I could not get enough of these characters, what they shared and meet each other feel, and the story itself. It has been incredible watching all of this unfold.

This book continues on from the first book in the series and throws you hard first into a world of suspense, love, fire, and just so much heart. These characters are soulmates. You feel that in your bones while reading this book. You believe in that with everything you have. You just know that Chase and Gillian have to find a way to that happily ever after because they are meant to be. This book solidified that for me even more as a reader. It’s solidified my belief in the two of them and what they share. It’s solidified me, knowing that those two were the exact right match for one another. It just had me knowing that these two had to see each other through every hardship from their way because they loved each other so truly and deeply. You feel that in every page of this book and it’s incredible to experience. It just heighten what you’re reading and getting with the two of them.

The love between them is not to be underestimated. Those two always find their way back to one another, and I love that they are truly there for each other in the way that matters. They show up for each other, they hold space for one another, they accept each others pasts and presents and fight like hell for that future they both want. They put in the work and the effort, and they are constantly reminded why the other is the person they’re meant to be with. I loved how this author allowed that to unfold over the course of this book because these characters definitely goes through a lot. They have their own individual struggles that they need to work through, but it was reassuring for myself seeing them consistently go back to one another. Seeing the two of them know that the other was always there, no matter how dark their trauma got or how much their past threatened to harm them both was absolutely everything. And it just had me needing with every part of my heart for the two of them to figure it all out.

I also have to say that the suspense plot line seriously intensified in this book. There was danger, suspense, and a lot these characters had to face. I absolutely loved that about this book. I mean, I hated that these characters had to experience these traumatic events and process through all of those emotions related to those events, but I really enjoyed what that added to the story. It definitely kept me hooked, it added a definitely layer of tension to everything, and it also pulled me in even more to what these characters were experiencing to see how they handle it all. I loved that This friend group definitely continue to show up for each other, even when things were complicated and hard. They definitely love each other and you feel that through every hard moment in this book.

I cannot wait to continue this series because I just love these characters. I am proud of their friend group, I am consumed within the story in the way that they all show up for each other and their connections and relationships, but more than that I just love all of them. This author definitely has a way of Pulling you in and investing you in each and every one of them and I am here for it. I love how she just shows you so much of their relationships and dynamics through the events of the story itself. It adds another incredible layer to what you are reading and experiencing and it’s the best. I am fully invested in not only Chase and Gillian, but all of their friends. I’m eager to see what the next book will bring them all and to continue getting all of their stories!

Mind continues this incredible and consuming love story in the best possible way. It forces these characters to really dive deep into their hearts, and into the depth of their feelings, it pushes them to the edge, and it continues to show why they are soulmates. That coupled with the tension filled suspense, plot line, the danger that’s lurking, and the way that this friend group continues to show up for one another will have you on the edge of your seat, with a heart that is completely invested in this world of characters. I am so glad that I picked up this series by this author because I am beyond enamored by this entire world, but especially the love story between Chase and Gillian. I am absolutely hooked into everything they’re sharing and I cannot wait to see how this author continues on with their story and this series!

If you are looking for a romance with the OG feel, with all of the spice and feels and suspense, run yourself to this series. I should have read these books years ago because these are the books that made me the romance reader I am today. With all of the things Audrey Carlan brings together in this book, there’s truly no resisting what Chase and Gillian share and what they bring to life on the pages of this book. I truly can’t say that enough. Experiencing their story has been utterly fantastic and I truly cannot wait for more!

RECENSIONE COMPLETA QUI
https://valentinaabbr.blogspot.com/20...

In Trinity.

In jeder Situation.
Die Charaktere bleiben vom Verhalten her gleich.

So I honestly stuck this one out for the stalker aspect and the mystery involved with that. The controlling and condescending manner with which Chase treats Gillian is beyond annoying at this point. He's overly, insanely jealous (hello, I'm a red flag) and sex craved. He may not physically abuse her but the emotional abuse is so blatantly obvious their "romance" just makes me sick. Ended on a cliffhanger so glad I have the next book to find out what happens next.
