Accepting Fate is another fab read from Brandy L. Rivers.
This time around it is Michael Nights turn to find love. Michael hasn’t had much luck with women, his first love ran out on him when he turned into a monster to protect her and she subsequently became an addict because of that, giving Michael a healthy dose of guilt. He’s always known he had magic but his mother took him to have it bound so they could hide from their father much better, the binding was done at various points throughout his life so that his magic was kept safely hidden but when it was due for renewal, his magic flared… and it’s at one of those points that he unleashed it to save both he and Amanda DeLuna from a crazed man but in doing so, lost the love of his life. He vowed to never unleash his magic again because he didn’t want to be viewed as a monster.
Fast forward five years and Michael is doing ok apart from having his heart broken by Isa and wanting to grab his life back, he encounters Gwen Fate. After a one night stand with the super hot Gwen that had his beast clawing for release, Michael heads off to Edenton to have his magic bound again in what is becoming a weekly occurrence. However, the man who binds it, refuses to do it anymore because he wants Michael to accept who and what he is. Unbeknownst to Michael, Gwen is there and has heard all about his dilemma and it quickly becomes obvious that she is the only one that can help him accept and manage his power. But there’s another threat to Michael, not just from himself but from an old acquaintance……because Amanda’s back and she’s changed in more ways than one…. But with her also comes danger…. And that danger wants Michael’s power and will. Will his love for Amanda cloud his judgement? Or will his connection to Gwen let him finally accept his fate?
I’ve been waiting for this book because Michael is a prominent figure throughout the first two books and he was kinda heart broken in book two when Isa found her soul mate in Toryn. We all knew their ‘arrangement’ would end in tears because Michael had developed feelings for her so I’m glad we weren’t waiting too long for his story. We all know Michael as Roxy’s brother and that their absent father was totally evil and that their mother had hidden them from him…. Well in this we see to what extent she really went because she had bound his magic. Everyone is unaware that Michael has magic, even his own sister and that’s the way Mike would have it, he doesn’t want it or need it but its rising to the surface more often. I really enjoyed getting to know Michael’s character, I never thought he had any magic so this came as a surprise to me. You can really understand why he wanted to keep it under wraps and could empathise with him a lot. I liked how we got glimpses into his past through flashbacks scenes, his child self was cute in his view of his magic before it was bound.
I liked what Gwen had to offer him, her brother had been the same as Michael in his view of magic and it had gone wrong for him when he tried to suppress it so Gwen knows full well what she is dealing with and is in a unique position to help him, this furthered their connection together. I enjoyed their romance and sexytimes, they made a really nice couple and I’m glad Michael could have that, actually Gwen too because we get some of her history and she hasn’t had it easy on the romance front too.
I really liked where the danger was coming from, it’s hard to say anything about it because it would spoil it but their foe is very determined and will stop at nothing. The aim isn’t to kill Michael but to own him in ways you wouldn’t believe. I really liked the way Michael and Gwens stories entwined together (you’ll get it when you read it) like a six degrees of separation thing going on but I like it when they uncover shared friends, acquaintances, experiences etc. but it does make you wonder how their paths haven’t crossed before. I also appreciated the furthering of Roxy and Trevor’s story with some unexpected news that could be either good or bad depending on the way you look at it. The ending is concluded in a way but left open in another way - story wise and I’m really curious as to where that’s headed but for this…. It was another satisfying PNR read from a much loved world with awesome characters and great stories and as always – I’ll be waiting for more.

Fearing he’s a monster, Michael has kept his power locked away. Captivated by Michael, Gwen is compelled to help him embrace what he is and now he’ll have to choose between the life he wished for and his fate in this enthralling paranormal romance.
Michael’s power broke free to protect his girlfriend but it scared her away and changed him forever and Gwen’s been own concerns leftover from the past and the reader can’t help but get drawn into the story as they help each other overcome their past emotional issues only to have the past come back to haunt them. These two are strong compelling characters on their own but together they make a very charismatic couple that grabs reader’s attention from the very beginning and the fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers on their toes with lots of suspense, excitement and romance.
Michael’s ex has returned but there’s something different about her and before they know what it is Gwen learns that her ex is behind a very evil plot – one that involves Michael. Lots of thrilling excitement and suspense to keep readers shivering in anticipation with well written scenes and details that bring the story to vibrant life while the well orchestrated events enthralls readers and ensures that they can’t put the book down until they have read every last word.
Michael and Gwen are joined by his family, friends and the crew from Edenton and the Silver Council who play their parts in helping against the bad guys which adds lots of spice and depth to the story as friendships are strengthened and new ones made. There is never a dull moment in Seattle or Edenton so of course I was a willing captive of this story from beginning to end and I can’t wait to read the next one especially after that conclusion because it looks something wicked has just been let loose.

Fearing he's becoming the monster a former lover told he was, Mike heads to see Tremaine to get him to reinforce the wards that is holding his magic at bay. Never understanding exactly what his magic is or what he is, all he knows is that he is scared to let it loose in fear of hurting or killing innocents.
Gwen spots Mike at a party and can sense the energy flowing from him, but not what he is. She invites him back to her place only to have him leave quickly aftewards. When he ignores her calls the following week, she vows to give up on him, even though he rarely leaves her thoughts.
The author takes us on Mike's journey as he finds out who he really is, who his family is and the powers that have been hidden from him since he was a boy. The cast of characters is made of old friends and allies as well as new foes. The Others of Edenton and the Others of Seattle once again are battling evil and forces of darkness.

I am a big fan of Ms Rivers' books and love how Edenton and this series interlink and weave together a wider community of Others.
Once again a great read. Fast paced, sexy, entertaining, and full of old friends and revelations, which will also affect future stories. The tightness of the plot-lines ensures that even though I have read hundreds of books in the last twelve months, I immediately slot everyone back into place and return to the fold. As we have previously watched Preston and Robert find their place in the world, it was definitely time for Gwen to get her HEA, but let down as she has been in the past, can she believe it is for real. At the same time Mike is having to come to terms with what he has known to be real but strived to keep concealed. Fate takes a hand ...

Brandy L Rivers’ Others of Seattle series has quickly become one of my favorite series – so much so that I’m itching to read things she probably hasn’t even thought of yet. Her newest addition – Accepting Fate – certainly does not disappoint.
Bringing her readers back to the city where we’ve come to know Isa and Toryn and fallen for Roxy and Trevor, Rivers picks up the threads she left dangling and lets Roxy’s brother Michael Nights have his say. For lack of better words, Mike has a secret. His whole life he kept his secret buried – until it broke free while he was protecting his first love. Since then he’s done everything in his power to keep his magic caged.
After meeting Mike at a party, Gwen is captivated. And curious. She senses that Mike is hiding something and is determined to find out what. This strong-willed, snarky woman does whatever she can to break down the walls Mike and built and help him come to terms with what he’s been avoiding – hopefully even embrace it.
Rivers truly understands how to write a strong, independent character. Her women are some of my favorites to read about. Gwen is as strong and stubborn as they come, but any other woman would not be able to handle the equal stubbornness within Mike. Fate truly does seem to intervene in this tale – bringing the right people together at the right time, balancing their positives and negatives in order settle on an almost perfect whole.
Bonus! In typical Rivers fashion, she gifts her readers with more than just the story of Mike and Gwen. We are given insight into the ever growing world of the Others both in Seattle and Edenton and trust me, it’s a world worth getting buried in.
It takes a tremendous talent to create a world so intertwined and full of amazing twists and turns that the reader not only doesn’t want to stop reading, but doesn’t want to leave the world. Rivers is just that kind of talent. From her very first Others novel (in the Others of Edenton series) to its sister series Others of Seattle and its most recent addition Accepting Fate, Rivers has so elegantly crafted a group of characters so realistic that I want to move into their town and stay forever.

I receive a copy of this book for and honest review.
I have to say I really enjoyed this book. Mike was hanging on to one big secret from the time he was a toddler. I loved the strong-willed, passionate, spunky, stubborn woman Gwen is. I also love that Mike is strong and stubborn but also worries about others and hurting others.
Mike is Roxy’s brother and has been keeping a secret hidden deep within for so many years with Termaines help but only because they had too. Now that Termaine has decided he is no longer going to help Mike keep his secret locked down Mike has to deal with it head on.
Gwen meets Mike a party and finds him captivating. She knows there is something different about him but cannot place it exactly and is determined to figure it out. True to Brandy L. River style Gwen is a strong sassy woman with no holds bars when it comes to finding answers to the questions she has and right now she is set on figuring out Mike. Gwen is an enforcer who with Termaine’s help gets Robert and Preston to agree to let her train Mike.
Both Gwen and Mikes past come back to cause issues for them both because of this Robert and Preston get involved. I have to say being able to see Preston and Robert was so much fun and seeing how they help in this story line was phenomenal.
Can Mike accept who he is and allow Gwen to help him or will he decide to find a way to lock down his powers again? I cannot answer any of that for you but if you pick this up you will not be disappointed and you will be able to find out the answer.
What I love most about Brandy L. Rivers series is that she will pull characters from the Others of Edenton Series into Others of Seattle so if you read both series it is like getting a bonus when you are reading. However, it’s ok if you don’t read both series you are still able to follow along about who and what each character is and does. Brandy did a great job with the twists to keep me wanting more and needing to figure out what was going to happen next. I for one cannot wait for the next book to see were the next journey will be taking me.

Little did I realize that when I opened another one of this author's books that I would be captivated by one of the main characters-Michael. She gives you a rich collection of characters that each are special in their abilities and history when you read her novels. Having read about his sister's story I was delighted to further get to know him and his story. She gives you a clear understanding on what has happened in his past and brings you to his present without any holes which would be important to a first time reader. Now it is his time and he can no longer run from who he is and what has been locked down for far too long. Out one night though he meets someone that is sassy and beautiful that knows what she wants-Gwen. Also being out for a minute thanks to a previous event this enforcer also knows he is more than meets the eye. Curiosity is one of her things and that will open the door for them both to explore something more. But oh that he is very much a male at times they run from what could be good they do not meet again till a little later thanks to her being where his uncle was. Even though she will end up helping him they will actually be helping each other. Wonderful unfolding when he comes out of hiding whom he really is with the gentle loving hand of Gwen. Of course also thrilled that these two explore the chemistry that sparks between them and let it take them where it may. As this is going on though everything is not peachy keen because someone else wants him for that magic he holds inside. No longer in the dark either with his sister their relationship gets only better as she too must conquer a problem. With all that this novel contains inside it will keep you immersed forgetting that there is other things going on because you just have to see what comes next. Confrontations that will happen will leave no one in the dark though on who holds all the power. Never would of thought of though where these two go after the dust dyes down for a minute that it was quite a pleasant surprise. Received a arc for a honest review LOP(Lovers of Paranormal)

If you love a good PNR, this is your next read...
Mike and Gwen meet at a party and the chemistry was instant and amazing. Mike is hiding something and when Gwen innocently questions him, it seems they are over before they begin. But Mike cannot no longer contain his secret and it seems Gwen is the only person who can help him. Throw in Mike's ex-girlfriend resurfacing up after five years and Gwen's track record for finding guys not quite ready to move on and you have a recipe for a great story.
However, Brandy Rivers doesn't right great stories, she writes amazing ones! Mike is a Druid whose powers were bound when he was three and Gwen a mage and Silver Council Enforcer who is tasked to help Mike get his power under control before he hurts himself and others. They have to work together while trying to keep their attraction under control. Mike says it best "You had to give me the one mentor I want to eff senseless." It's a wonderful ride from beginning to end.
One of the things I love about Brandy's writing is all her books can stand-alone. But because of the way her world is completely fleshed out, many of her characters show up in more than one book. Roxy, Mike's sister, from Night's Embrace as well as Trevor and his clan are a welcome addition. And since Gwen is an Enforcer for the Silver Council it seems only right that Preston, Robert and even Tremaine and Liz make an appearance.
I love this book and it might be my new favorite in either of her Others series but honestly I say that about all her new books. They all become my new favorite.

We visit the paranormal world again in the 3rd book in the Others of Seattle series. This is Michael Nights’ and Gwen Fate’s story. They are so well matched. Gwen is an Enforcer for the Council of Others (Paranormal Police) and Mike is a Graphic artist and guitar player with his sister in Night’s Embrace band.
Mike is a tormented soul. He has been keeping a secret from his sister and everyone else. He is a powerful Druid who can shape shift into many forms. His powers have been bound since he was very young; but, as he has grown, so have his powers and he is terrified that they will explode out of him and he will hurt someone.
While at a party he meets Gwen and they instantly attracted to each other. Gwen can sense that there is something “other” about Mike, but he denies it.
With the approval of her superiors, Gwen sets about guiding and instructing Mike on his newly released powers. He needs to learn fast as there is something stalking him. Something wants to steal his powers.
The Others of Seattle is a spin-off of the Others of
Edenton series and we see many characters from there interacting with this new series. I love the strong independent women in these stories. They are perfect for the alpha men.

***I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the Author and the “Lovers of Paranormal” Group on Goodreads.com***
Again I followed Brandy Rivers in her world of Others in Seatttle and I haven't regretted it.
This book is about Mike who is Roxy's big brother. And although we got the impression that he has no idea of what's going on in Roxy's book. It is clear from the start that he was fooling everyone and tried to ignore his great power.
Stuggling with his past (and bad memories of his ex-girlfriend), he has to let go of his anger and embrace his inner beast.
Of course with the help of one determined Silver Council enforcer.
I really, really enjoyed it. It took me about one morning to race through this book. I just couldn't put it down. Meeting again all the other caracters of 'Night's Embrace' was one big plus.
Also this is one part why I always come back to Brandy's books.
Who has enjoyed the other books of her two series will definitely not be disappointed.

Also this is one part why I always come back to Brandy's books.
Who has enjoyed the other books of her two series will definitely not be disappointed.

I received this book from Lovers of Paranormal in exchange for an honest review.
This is book three in the Others of Seattle series by Brandy L. Rivers.
Michael Knights has always had to hide his magic and hide what he is. Five years ago When he and his girlfriend Amanda are attacked by a thief, he shifts to stop the attack and scares Amanda who calls him a monster and leaves him heartbroken and confused.
Gwen Fate is on a medical leave from the Silver Council when she meets Mike at a party. They hook up and it’s explosive but he suddenly leaves and avoids her for the next few weeks. While visiting Tremaine, she overhears Mike asking him to block his magic again & she lets him know just how dangerous that can be. She offers to help him come to terms with his magic and her bosses, Robert and Preston, agree.
Meeting all the other characters from 'Night's Embrace' was great, especially Roxy and Trevor. Another great story in the series!

Michael Nights has been having his magic blocked since he was three years old. Now it’s getting too dangerous to block it anymore so, whether he likes it or not, it’s time to embrace his true nature. It is time for Mike to accept fate.
Gwen Fate is on a medical leave from the Silver Council when she meets Mike at a party. They hook up & it’s explosive but then he leaves abruptly. While visiting Tremaine, she overhears Mike asking him to block his magic again & she lets him know just how dangerous that can be, catastrophic in fact. She offers to help him come to terms with his magic & her bosses agree.
There all kinds of twists & turns in this book to keep the reader wondering what’s going to happen next. I loved this book just as much as I have loved every “Others” book I have read. Brady Rivers is a must read if you love PNR!!!

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.
Mrs. Rivers has created a world full of others than populate both a small town of Edenton and large city Seattle. Having been a fan of both series from the start I am always plenstly surprised at her ability to weave new characters, both good and bad, into the series while keeping it fresh. Mike has spike my radar from book 1 in this series and I am very happy to not have to wait long for his story. Though way faster pace than her usual style, this story set up what I hope to be many more books to come. Gwen is a feisty chick that I would love to hang out with in real life and Mike is the perfect guy.

Oh goodness, you know when I read the first book in this series I felt bad for Mike, wanting someone he cannot have and watching her mate with someone else. What I was not expecting was that Mike was magic and that his magic could end all those he loves.
We are also introduced to fiery Gwen Fate, Silver Council Enforcer who does not take crap from anyone.
Put the two together and you have the perfect storm. There is oodles of lust and a great story line amid the heat. The twists in this book are great along with the perfect depth to each character. The only complaint I have is that for a strong confident woman, Gwen sure was quick to second guess Mike. Love, love, love The Others. 5 fangs.

I love Brandy L Rivers' books.
Accepting Fate is another hit, you can't put it down! As soon as you start reading you will know you're holding something special.
In this, the third book in The Others of Seattle series, we catch up with Mike Nights and see how his story will unfold. Not to far into the story we also met Gwen Fate, an enforcer. Both have some serious issues to work through but the heat is undeniable. They feel it and we the reader feel it.
Mike's magic has been bound but it's time to let it go and for him to accept his fate for what it has always been.
Hot, sensual, tastefully written and just fantastic! Every time a new book by this author comes out, it becomes my favorite!

Just like the other books in the series, this book is good!
The story and the characters are well thought and written.
The characters, Michael (Mike) and Gwen are good.
Mike, he's an interesting guy. With his past regarding his magic, he's afraid to unleash his power.
He's afraid that he'll hurt those people around him and he's afraid to be called a monster.
Gwen, a mage who is sassy and feisty.
What I love about this woman is that she's strong and knew how to protect herself.
The story, its's good and full of surprises..
As the story goes, things will get more interesting (as to where their relationship goes, teaching Mike on how to control and access his powers, the issue about his ex and all).
Ms. Brandy nailed it again.
Loved it!

An absolute excellent installment to The Others of Seattle Series by Brandy Rivers! Mike has always had to hide his magic and hide what he is. When it comes out and scares his girlfriend Amanda, she convinces Mike he is a monster and takes off away from him. Heartbroken and confused, he is not sure what to do.
Gwen bumps into Mike when she gets hurt on the job and all bets are off. There is an instant attraction for her. She knows he is an other but for some reason he is trying to hide it. Can she figure the puzzle that is Mike out? Or will the sudden reappearance of Amanda and her brother Cole throw a wrench in everyone's plans?
In true Brandy Rivers fashion, we get to keep up with our other residents of Seattle and get some pretty scorching hot sex scenes!

** I received this book in exchange for an honest review. Lovers of Paranormal, LoP**
I love 'The Others of Seattle' series, and 'Accepting Fate' is another great addition to it. The storyline was full of action, great characters and romance. Gwen is a great kick-ass lead and doesn't take any crap. I love her sarcastic side. Mike is a hot shifter that really accepted his fate well when it came down to it. Plus there's some great hot and steamy scenes. The characters are a great cast of different types of beings. I love how Brandy L. Rivers brings her stories to life. I look forward to reading more of this series. A great add to your tbr list. Recommended read.

Everything Ms. Brandy L. River's writes is pure magic. I love both of her series. I love how they entwisted between the two series. This book is the third installment of the Others of Seattle series. Michael Nights has been trying to hide his magic as long as he could remember. Gwen Fate is an Silver Council Enforcer who has a string of failed relationships. She wants to help Mike come to grips with his power which no longer can be contained. Can their relationship survive with all the insecurities. As usual I love to revisit some of the characters from the Edenton series. I received this complimentary book in exchange for an honest review. (LOP or Lovers of Paranormal on Goodreads)

Accepting Fate is an Amazing read! Michael Nights has torn himself up over his past love. Always afraid to follow his true nature, not wanting to put his family and friends in danger. Family secrets come out and Gwen is there to help become who he was meant to be. The Silver Council protects all Others and handle the Others that have gone to the darker side of life. While Mike finds himself, Gwen finds her past has come to haunt her. These two have a long road to travel before they can love again, but love is worth everything and so much more! I love Brandy L Rivers books. She has a way of intertwining The Others of Edenton and Others of Seattle series.

The first step in fixing a problem is admitting you have, "rubbing the back of his neck, he groaned. "You had to give me the one mentor I want to eff senseless." Gwen I liked her she went after what she wanted, "she slid her leg over his thigh and drew his between hers. "Warning, I like to snuggle." These two are so passionate about each other that I really loved the sex scenes:
"Hmmm, no. I don't. S***, you still want to talk? Or can that wait?"
"Wait." She unzipped his pants staring up at him. "Need you."
I enjoyed reading this book I liked Mike.

I love this series! Each book in the series does need to be read with the others, they all intertwine. In this book Gwen meets her mate/match when she runs into Mike at a party. I find all of the characters in this series extremely fascinating and unique. If you are a fan of paranormal than this is the series for you, Mages, wolves and more. The story line is fast paced, but didn't contain the same amount of action or suspense that the others did. I applaud the author for not taking the cookie cutter way of writing paranormal and brings another level to her version of them. Excellent series.

I can never get of the Others. These people and this story and this author have me enthralled. Mike is awesome I love his sense of humor. I liked hers too. they are perfect for one another, they both had loved and lost and were a little Leary of it again. I loved how this author brought characters back from earlier books and we got to hear how their lives are and they got to help with Mike and Gwen's problems.

Brandy Rivers creates characters that I can't help but love. She also creates villain's that I love to hate.
Mike needs to get a handle on who he really is but is terrified. Gwen is assigned to help train Mike to control his magic and, of course, things blossom from there.
I really enjoy the fact that other characters from Seattle and Edenton are involved. There is love, magic and a touch of violence.

I loved this story. It was amazing. Brandy L. Rivers has done it again, there is no doubt about it. The story, wow, I could not get enough. From the moment that you start reading it, you are caught in the story and there is no escaping from it. You feel as though you the characters personally and are right there beside them throughout the story. This has got to be read, there is no doubt about it.

I love a good shifter book an this one did not disappoint. This book tells of Mikes journey to discover who an what he is an where he fits in with the "others". With Gwen's help an love he learns to be who he is. I really felt the love Mike has around him, the loyalty an trust he is surrounded with really makes this an enjoyable read. So if your looking for a a hot an steamy shifter book with lots of fun an mystery along with it this book is one you have to read.

What happens when a lifetime of power has been locked up and needing to be released? Mike has been hiding a secret since he was little and now needs to face it and his fears! Gwen is a council enforcer and a perfect person to help Mike, will they both find something else, like love! Mike and Gwen's past will cross into their future and danger is coming, will they survive? Loving this series and can't wait for the next book!

I am so in love with this series, it has just about everything you could possibly want in a series (love, hate, mystery, romance and action). In Accepting Fate, Mike has to do just that to protect everyone he cares for and the entire city he lives in. Follow Mike as he meets his `fate' and accepts who he was always meant to be.

I always enjoy one of Brandy's stories about the Others. This was one of my favorite story lines in the series, I enjoyed Gwen's confidence and efficiency, and I liked Mike's tentative acceptance of his 'fate.'
