Suzy Turner wrote her first chick lit novel in her early twenties, but it wasn’t until much later that she decided to focus on writing full time. It was during a visit to Canada in 2009 when the ravens within the dark eerie forests of British Columbia called to her. The story of Lilly Taylor was born soon after and the first novel in The Raven Witch Saga was created. Suzy has since published numerous urban fantasy books, contemporary women's and cozy mystery novels.
Having lived in Portugal since childhood, Suzy, who is originally from Yorkshire in England, loves to travel. She finds inspiration wherever she goes. Old decrepit buildings, graveyards, cathedrals and castles are just a few of the things that can be found within the worlds of her urban fantasy books, and her contemporary women’s fiction novels are filled with fun friendships, ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances and quirky characters you’d want as friends.
Suzy lives in the Algarve with her husband, three cats and a dog, where she works on her bookcover design business—creating book covers for fellow authors. You can find out more at https://www.suzyturner.com/covers-by-...

Adam and Eve (yes, that's their names...I kid you not) had a one night stand three years ago. Eve hasn't been able to get Adam out of her head especially when she's making love to her husband! It certainly doesn't help matters when Adam moves in next door.

Looking for a good emotional read, I went through some books I had on an old list and came up with this one. It's always a little scary reading a book none of your friends have read but I was willing to give it a go...and it wasn't too bad!

But was it good? Not as emotional as I was wanting but a decent read. The one night stand doesn't really play a huge part except that they both haven't gotten over it. But they both try really hard not to give in to those feelings.

description

I liked both Adam and Eve and it was nice having an older couple (late 30's to 40) even though sometimes they didn't act very mature. To be fair, there's a WHOLE bunch of other drama that happens...one is very obvious but the other comes out of nowhere!

They are both very passionate about each other which leads to some sexy scenes just not very descriptive and definitely not erotica IMO.

I did like how things came together. It was nice to end on a good note since this is a standalone.

I really hate giving 2 star ratings without a review. The premise of the book seemed intriguing. a star crossed lovers type of sweet romance. Similar to Meant to Be by Karen Stivalii which was an excellent book. Sadly it was very disappointing. It started well - then went downhill. The intro of ex Lisa was ridiculous. The hero is an ass who claims to love the heroine but then tells her he is in love with his dying ex wife. The heroine then quickly accepts him back with no real groveling after the ex wife is gone.

I despise cheaters. They make me sick. There are no excuses. Love isn't a reason to commit adultery. People who do that are selfish and cowardly. If they weren't happy with their spouses then they should have been honest with them from the start. No matter what they're bad people.

There was just so much of everything packed into this novel, it was hard to actually fall in love with all the characters and really stick with the story. I couldn't understand some of the friendships, especially after Charlie and Matt had the affair and gotten pregnant together. I would of been a vicious twat to them but Eve was way too nice. To me, it didn't seem realistic at all. As for Adam, he had is hands in way too many pies. I just couldn't believe the whole thing. Show me a couple this shit actually happened to and I'll change my rating. 2.5 stars is all this had for me.

The first half or this book I was totally in love with. I was hooked and invested into Eve’s story, and even though she made a huge mistake right in the beginning of the story, it was easy to find that connection with her and understand where she was coming from. She was very well written and I fell easily into this novel, happily reading along, cheering for what I knew was probably going to happen. The second half I didn’t love as much. I was a little lost at some points and I didn’t like that Eve constantly ran away from her issues and just the pacing seemed off to me, but because I thought the first half was so strong, my attention stayed on point and I had to read until the very last page and what I thought was a satisfying conclusion.

This is my own book so I'm biased lol!
It was one of those books that took my by surprise because I found myself unable to stop writing. In fact the first draft was written in under a week! I'm really excited to share it with the world in November!

And Then There Was You
By Suzy Turner
Eve is happily married to Matt, or so she thinks despite having a one night stand with a handsome stranger called Adam while on one of her book tours. Eve has never been unfaithful to Matt in all their years of marriage and struggles to come to terms with her infidelity and decides to keep it a well guarded secret. Unaware her one unforgettable night of passion would go on to shape and change the course of her entire existence and that of her husband’s, in a way she never imagined or thought possible.
Three years later and Eve discovers in a state of perpetual panic that her new neighbour is Adam and to her surprise he is newly married to a fun-loving blonde named, Charlie, who is keen to strike up a close friendship with her and Matt.
Eve does all she can to avoid her new neighbours but Matt insists they both get to know the newly wedded couple as he discovers Charlie shares many of his hobbies and interests. While Eve and Adam do all they can to conceal their attraction to one another for the sake of their marriages and resist the temptation to repeat their one night of passion all those years ago, something unexpected happens, a cruel twist of fate, and it’s not until the child is born that both Adam and Eve discover that Matt is the father and Charlie has been deceiving them all along.
Eves head is a mess and she goes and visits her parents on the Algarvean Coast for some time to figure out what she is going do with the rest of her life. She feels betrayed and heartbroken that she put her marriage before her feelings for Adam when all the time her husband was deceiving her. Before she leaves for the sunny climates and the comfort of her childhood home, she accidentally befriends Adams first wife. Lisa, who tries to convince her that she and Adam are made for each other and pleads with her to return home sooner rather than later, or never.
After a few weeks of self-discovery Eve returns home to find out that Matt has put their house on the market and has moved in with Charlie. Distraught she turns to Adam for refuge and confesses her heartbreak about never being able to conceive children. She loves Adam like no other man and wants a future with him however; another cruel twist of fate is just around the corner throwing their relationship in to turmoil once again. Lisa, Adams ex-wife falls ill with cancer and her last dying wish is to have her husband, children and new best friend Eve around her. Eve does all she can to fulfil her best friends dying wishes even though she feels like a spare part who shouldn’t be there. Adam suddenly confesses he still loves Lisa and starts to drink heavily and blank Eve.
The day of Lisa’s death, Eve leaves after fulfilling Lisa’s wishes and books a flight to Canada to find what’s left of her life again, convincing herself that she must forget all about Adam and focus on her career as a writer as she is never going to get the fairytale ending she wants, however she is mistaken as Adam travels the end of the earth to convince her that she is the one he wants to spend the rest of his life with.
I don’t usually read chick-lit or romance but this book engrossed me from the beginning to the end and had quite a hold on me all the way through. It is cleverly written and a real asset to the S. Turner. It is sexy, intelligent and very compelling and I would challenge anyone who loves a good work of fiction to put it down as I certainly couldn’t. Don’t forget the box of tissues as there are some weepy scenes as well as many humorous ones. Highly recommended, keep them coming.

An instant attraction between a man and woman leads to a one night stand ... only to have fate step in three years later when they become neighbors ...

Adam and Eve met in London and their instant attraction led them to having a memorable one night stand. Fast forward three years later, and Eve is happily married to Matt, that is until she is thrown for a loop when Adam and his wife Charlie move in next door. Memories of that passionate night plus an undeniable connection draws Adam and Eve back towards each other. While Adam and Eve feel guilty and don't want to hurt their spouses, they can't fight the pull of attraction ... but theirs isn't the only attraction that is happening ... Will their marriages survive, or will they give in to their deep feelings for each other?

And Then There Was You was an intriguing and multi-layered romance story that easily drew me into Adam and Eve's story.

Author Suzy Turner weaves a compelling story about the complexity of relationships that is filled with love, emotion, intensity, and passion, intertwined with conflict, loss, difficult life choices and decisions.

As Adam and Eve's story unfolds, there is enough intriguing twists and turns that will keep the reader engaged and turning the pages. With a realistic cast of characters and true to life relationship circumstances, And Then There Was You is a touching story of true love that will leave a smile on your face.

Adam & Eve meet one fateful night and have the most indescribable pull to each other that they can't help but fall into one another's arms for the entire night.

Fast Forward 3 years and we find Eve was married during that one night tryst and feels extremely guilty but also can't seem to forget how amazing that night was with her handsome stranger. Eve and Matt her husband meet the new neighbors who have moved in next door and Eve gets thrown for a loop when she finds it's the beautiful man Adam she spent the night with those few years back. Adam is now married to Charlie and both seem to be drawn to each of their neighbors. Eve tries her hardest to keep her distance but every time Adam and Eve are near one another they feelings surface and they can't keep their hands & lips off the other. Neither want to hurt the other or their spouses but their hearts are continually drawing them together.

Matt and Charlie start acting strange as well and it seems everyone is hiding a secret but what is it??? Will anyone find out what the other is hiding? Can Eve and Adam keep their feelings in check and make their marriages work? Find out TODAY when you BUY a copy!!!

No need to over-think this plot—just jump in and start reading. The writing will sweep you away to be lost in the world of a woman who wants to do the right thing, but her bodily reactions are reading from a different sheet and the conflict is driving her mad. The intense sexual scenes might appeal to some, but I skipped them. Escaping from her normal life twice to 'find herself' is overly indulgent for my liking, but I'm sure many people will empathize with her need to contemplate the shattering circumstances which hit her with body-blows.

I gave this book a four star rating because although I felt it unlikely that two couples would be so understanding, after they're affairs, I rather liked the fantasy of people being kind to each other. In reality so many people are venmous when relationships break down it was rather refreshing to read that it doesn't have to be that way. I thought it was a bit of Romantic fantasy, nothing wrong with that, not everything has to be true to life.

You meet someone and there is just that instant attraction, it's like you were meant to be together but your married. Years later fate steps in and you meet again and all the feelings you had are still there. There were aspects of this book that I saw coming but it didn't detract from my enjoyment of a book that is very well written, will read more from this author.

This story was so great even if you thought you might know what was going to happen you didn't. The author did such a great job on the story line and the characters I didn't want to put this down. Eve's character was so easy to think of as a friend you want to see what will happen to her in this very good story. Even had tears with parts which if you read you will know why!!

This book made feel I was reading four books instead of one, and not in a good sense.
