Can love survive when surprises are revealed?

Chad Douglas has been in love with his younger sister's best friend for years, but he's kept his distance—their age difference, his rising rugby career, and uncertainty standing in his way. However, a drunken night together allows Chad to believe that maybe there is a chance, only for everything to come crumbling down when he wakes to find Lana gone.

After living in England for the past three years, Lana Cage moves back home to Australia. The night before she left Australia for England is a blank memory, but on her arrival home, the consequences end up being a surprise for both her and Chad.

Desperate for another chance at love, can Chad and Lana have their happily ever after once the surprise is revealed? Or will trust be lost and their lives forever changed?

Chad grinned when Lana gaped at him like a fish. He would admit he’d fucked a lot of women, but he’d never dated them or shown affection for them outside of the sex. Sure, photographers had caught him chatting up a girl or fucking one. He even did promo pictures to make it look like he was dating someone, but he’d never really had anything serious like a girlfriend.
aww... what a hero! blech...

come to think of it, it was his party, where she got drunk, and he took her to bed, and got her pregnant, and she keeps apologizing and saying "oh, that sounds so slutty" (that i was drunk and don't remember getting knocked up) and the H never once feels remorse or apologetic or sorry for anything!! downgrading 2 stars to 1

I can't say that I've read all Ms Gower's books but out of all that I have this was my least favorite. The whole thing about her not remembering and not even trying to figure out who her baby daddy was and his whole family making bets on when he'd 'claim' her. Bets that started 7 yrs before so she was like 13-14 and he was in his early twenties, kinda creepy.

This book was a really good read. I feel in love with how determined Chad was to win Lana,it was also amazing to see how she changed him and made him that much of a better guy. I would definatly recommend this book and I will definatly be buying from this author again.

Chad Douglas knows that his sisters best friend is heading back to Australia. It has been years since he has seen her and they had one night before she disappeared. Lana Cage is coming back to Australia with her daughter, she doesn't remember anything about the night that her daughter was conceived. What will happen when she regains her memory and remembers everything?

This was a fun quickie. I liked Chad and felt for Lana because she is trying to do right by her daughter and he heart. Great read, another wonderful read from this author.

I Loved this book.

As always the guy was hot and the sexy times numerous and well written. I found that the emotional content of this story was excellent. Ms. Gower knows how to put a book together. The pace and flow were right on point. Hazel Gower has become one of my favorite authors.

Pretty interesting read. Storyline was fast paced, entertaining, sweet and hot. Due to age, distance and a minor secret, Chad and Lana spent years apart without knowing the love they shared for each other. Not to say their relationship was a bed of roses and didn't have a few bumps along the way. They have steamy chemistry and interaction. Overall an enjoyable second chance book.

I love this sweet, but sexy story. This story had a lot of good qualities. Interesting characters, thrilling storyline, lost love's ,and a family that sticks together. Looking forward to reading more!

Very cliche, not entirely interesting to read and it was all just over to quickly - no really climax or ending

This story is short, mixed paced and a nice read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline easy to follow. I have to admit; I was put off by the fact that Lana didn’t remember her one night stand with Chad. If she was that drunk to not remember who she had slept with, surely Chad would have seen that and not slept with her?
I didn’t mind the fast paced parts of this story but I found the slow parts a little dull. I liked Lana and Olivia. Olivia is adorable. I didn’t mind Chad but I didn’t love him.
I liked how accepting the Douglas’s were of Lana and Olivia.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and a nice read.

Safety:

-10 years age gap
-Manwhore H (to be fair his past wasn't mentioned THAT much)
-Lana had a boyfried before him , so she wasn't a virgin when they first sleep together
-During separation h was celibate (even though at the start of the book she's just started dating a guy, they never did anything and we only see him once), while I'm pretty sure H had ONS
-No ow drama
-Om drama: just H being jealous
-Unprotected sex
-No cheating
-Months after epilogue

Den var bra. Men även om den inte var så lång så blev den långtråkig. Det blev dock lite bättre sen i slutet när Chad och Matt rädde Lana och hennes kompisar från några full män utanför en bar.

This was a DNF for me ...

The writing was clunky and several things just didn't make sense.

I've read other HG books, and liked them. So I'm gonna mark this as a one off and hope I enjoy her next one better.

This was a fast paced read.Literally. I think if I blinked, I would've missed chapters. That being said, it was an OK read for me. Chad & Lana have secretly been in love with each other but because of their age difference & one drunken night, their relationship was put to a screeching halt.

Fast forward 3 years later & Lana is back in Australia with a little souvenir from that drunken night. A daughter!! Lana has no memory of that night or who she slept with cuz she was that wasted & my first thought was Oh sh*t it's about to get REAL.

Enter Chad Douglas a.k.a walking one night stand a.k.a baby daddy a.k.a Rugby's most notorious bad boy.
Chad has been secretly in love with Lana for years but too scared to admit it especially with their age gap(10 years). He wants Lana & he's not about to let her go this time.

Chad remembers that night but Lana doesn't & so this is where the story begins. He wants her as his.He pretty much pissed in a circle around her & wrote MINE with a black sharpie on her forehead. He was that much of an Alpha & while I love me some Alpha, the story was too fast paced for me.If it was slower & it had like a build up to things, I probably would've rated higher.

Their first encounter after not seeing each other for more than 3 years, they go horizontal! I went back because I thought I missed a chapter. That was too fast for me & everything else that followed after was pretty much the same thing.

I liked the plot of the story & even though it was told from a third person POV, I stuck with it.

Great book with engaging characters. I liked the statement that Hazel put at the front of the book warning that there would be Australiansisms in the book, so I settled in to enjoy the book without having to mentally translate. I was a little disappointed 49% into the book when Lana was explaining what she loved about working with flowers when colour was spelt incorrectly without the u however this didn't spoil the book.

I have read some of Hazel Gower's work before and always enjoy the stories she tells.

Why are guys always get so pissed that they want to strangle heroines? I just don't like guys getting aggressive towards their women. I personally read Alpha-male books to read about males who cherish their woman above all else. Practically worship them ( without becoming pussies.) and would kill anyone who dared look at her wrong. So I don't get violence towards the so called center of ur universe.

Hazel Gower really hit this one out of the park. I usually read Paranormal romance and this story kept me interested from start to finish. I have read other books from this author and this is one of the best stories that I have read. I hope there is more books in this series to come. Thank you for the good read and I wish for more.

What a beautiful friendship turning into love story between Chad & Lana. Even though at times it was predictable. I loved the chemistry of this couple. Quite funny story as well.
