Well, if you are picking up this book I'd suggest you prepare yourself for a very wild ride.
This book in the Secret Confessions: Sydney Housewives = Nella is a full-on erotic story about the very private play date of a husband and wife team. He works hard, she works him harder. The dynamics between them work for this pair and I came away feeling quite smug knowing their little secret.

Cathleen Ross presents book three in Escape Publishing's Secret Confessions: Sydney Housewives series and boy oh boy does she deliver.
Nella is an unashamedly strong, take-no-prisoners kind of woman; dedicated to her charitable work, the Double Diamond Dinner Club, her friends and her marriage. Her no-nonsense approach is refreshing and certainly entertaining to read. I think too, Nella's character and story really encapsulates the essence of secret confessions aspect of the series.
Cathleen Ross writes Nella convincingly, the pace is well-set, and the sex…well, while the sex is smoking hot, the romantic and emotional aspects of her marriage are also definitively balanced.
Fantastic read from what is very quickly becoming my favourite new series of 2014.

Wow, totally not what I expected. I've never read any BDSM with a female Domme - so this was a first for me. For the length of the story, the characters were developed beautifully, and they did have a lovely emotional connection regardless of the sub/dom relationship they have going in private.
This isn't one I'd recommend for the unadventurous!! It's a pretty intense read, but well written and certainly eye opening!

I’m really enjoying this series, secret confessions of a number of rich women in Sydney, Australia (not just housewives, but a range of ages too). After the scorching Lana, I should have known that this series is up for anything! Still, I was surprised and intrigued by Nella’s story. Nella sounds like a more mature woman to me (her stepdaughter Sienna is the subject of the next story) and she has a happy marriage with husband Michael. She’s in control of everything she does but I wasn’t really expecting her to be control so much in her sex life. You see, Nella’s discovered the best way to ease the stressors of Michael’s job is to indulge in some BDSM. This is no Fifty Shades styler either as Nella’s in complete dominance here over one of Australia’s leading CEOs.
Nella’s control shines through at every moment of her encounter with Michael – from eating off his back (he’s in big trouble if he spills a drop) to extracting a donation to charity from Michael at a crucial part of the role playing. I haven’t read a book about a female dominatrix before, so this was an eye opener. Cathleen Ross handles this situation with aplomb – the whole story is constructed tastefully but is still so scorching that I suggest you don’t read it during a total fire ban!
I loved how Nella was an older woman – her confidence shone through and she was always in control. I think this made the narrative more believable in a way for me – with age, comes wisdom (and power)! That Michael and Nella had been a strong marriage for a long time also made the BDSM scenes more comfortable for me.
I can’t wait to see what Sienna gets up to in the next story!

This housewife takes us on a Dom-sub ride, with Nella being the Domme to her bazillionaire Michael. It's an interesting dynamic and Cathleen Ross shows us both sides of the dynamic. This book will make men squirm...but I enjoyed the ride!

I loved this story. Domme stories are hard for me to get into...I like my alpha males. But this held my attention. I thought it was brave writing.

Nella's story is where readers really get the sense of differences in individual writing styles among this series' varying authors.
Where both Virgina's and Lana's stories had been very emotionally raw, up close, and personal. The story told here is told with a detached precision that is almost clinical.
Though this may be somewhat off putting at first, it soon becomes apparent that the BDSM nature of Nella and Michael's tale, lends itself to said style in a very appropriate pairing.
Although fans if the strong 'woman behind the man' scenario may want to stand up and cheer at the way that Nella plays domme to Michael's sub. The domination train starts to leave the rails a bit when she starts to use said skills to bully her husband into giving her what she wants in other areas.
If anything, this read feels like a role reversal is in order. With Nella as breadwinner and her dear hubs as house husband.

Nella likes to control and this control extends to being in charge of meeting the needs of Michael, her husband. This read explores in delicious detail how Michael gains relief from his stressful career as a top executive through Nella’s loving dominance, as described in a wickedly sexy role play scene between them. As someone whose reads often explore the male as the dominant and the woman as the submissive this was a refreshing and somewhat challenging read for me, as it turns what I am used to reading on its head. The whole Sydney Housewives series was a great, quick read. If any of my friends were looking for these types of books, I'd definitely recommend!
