I’m a captive ballerina. He’s a big, arrogant, tattooed Bratva boss who paid an outrageous amount to own me until dawn.
I’m sent to his room, quaking with nerves. But I refuse to make it easy for him.
“Do not fight me, Taylor,” he growls, ice-blue eyes flashing. “I will win.”
I run.
He catches me, pinning me, his naked body hard against mine.
I’m sobbing. Helpless.
Then he whispers into my ear, low and harsh. “There’s something you need to know…”
A sweet and spicy mafia romance novella with accidental pregnancy, age gap, and an innocent girl who has the Bratva boss’ heart instantly. This standalone links in with Bratva’s Secret Girl and Bratva’s Stolen Bride.
Evie Rose writes gleefully improbable bitesized instalove romances, with heroes who are all-in obsessed for their heroines.
She loves possessive alpha heroes, age gap, tons of spice, forced proximity, pining, and swoony romantic bits. She's the darker alter-ego of bestselling author Eve Pendle.
5/5 Taylor gave me life, and that's why I've called her that from the beginning. Zhizn moya. My life. And why I'll never let her go.
TROPES: -ballerina FMC x mafia man MMC -she's being held captive, he saves her... by buying her for the "night" -age gap -grumpy/sunshine -size difference
Kon is sent on a mission- rescue a woman named Taylor, who is basically being held in a ballet troupe that doubles as a human trafficking ring. He finds her, but discovers he has to "buy" her virginity for the night in order to get alone time with her to tell her the rescue plan. Things get a little... heated, you could say, but she is rescued and brought back to her sisters.
Her new brother-in-laws don't want her to have anything to do with Kon because of his past, even though he was never anything but nice to her. Time passes with both of them yearning for each other. Kon eventually convinces her to move into his apartment building where he can take care of her. Then... she finds out she's pregnant! And Kon? There's NO holding him back from claiming her and their baby now. :)
This novella was full of spicy moments, yearning on both sides, and super cute moments between the main couple. I really enjoyed it. Evie Rose is a fantastic author and I will alwayssss read and recommend her books to everyone!!
SAFETY: Virgin/celibate/manwhore?: virgin heroine, celibate hero OM/OW drama?: none Cheating/sharing? none Triggers: murder, pregnancy, vcard auction of sorts, human trafficking but nothing super detailed Kinks: praise, dry humping, exhibitionism bc they kinda have to do it in front of cameras as 'proof' lmao, breeding, dirty talk, "good girl", hand necklaces, rough sex HEA?: yes!

What It’s About: This is a quick, fast-paced Bratva dark romance centered around obsession, protection, and a MMC who decides the FMC is his. The story wastes zero time getting into the action and leans heavily into the typical Bratva mafia trope.
What I Liked: It was an easy. The pacing was fast, the storyline was interesting, and it absolutely did what it set out to do which was entertain. It’s one of those books you pick up knowing it’s not meant to be deep or realistic, and you just let it take you along for the ride.
What I Didn’t Like: Was it believable that all of this happened with basically no real retaliation or consequences for the main characters? Not really. A lot of things felt a little too convenient, and some moments could’ve benefited from more tension instead of everything working out so smoothly.
Overall Thoughts: This was one of those don’t overthink it books. If you go in expecting realism, you’ll probably be annoyed but if you’re looking for a quick, dark romance with obsession front and center, it delivers. It’s not groundbreaking, but it is entertaining.
He paid to own her for one night. He never planned to let her go.
Trapped in a brutal ballet trafficking ring, Taylor has one goal: survive. She’s the innocent centerpiece of a twisted auction, her inexperience sold as a luxury. When a stranger with cold eyes and darker intentions buys her, she braces for the worst. But Kon isn’t just another buyer. He’s a Bratva kingpin sent to extract her, and the moment he sees her, everything changes.
Kon doesn’t do softness. He controls, commands, and takes. But Taylor throws him off balance from the start. The plan was simple: rescue and retreat. What he didn’t expect was wanting her more than power, or how far he’d go to keep her close. When she runs, he hunts. When she breaks, he stays. When she trusts him, he falls.
Freedom’s only the first battle. Taylor’s healing and rebuilding a future she never imagined. Kon’s not just watching, he’s waiting, ready, hoping she’ll choose him. Their bond is messy, intense, and real. But secrets, family pressure, and the past still linger.
Kon and Taylor change in ways they never expected. He goes from brutal loner to fiercely loyal partner. She rises from isolation to strength, claiming her voice, choices, and life.
Their relationship starts in darkness but transforms into something redemptive and deep. What begins with obsession becomes comfort and lasting devotion.
A dark, steamy, instalove, age gap Bratva romance with forced proximity, stalking, CNC, praise kink, and primal play. It explores love, freedom, obsession, power, healing, revenge, family bonds, and redemption. It’s about two people who were never meant to meet, finding safety in each other, turning trauma into trust, and building a life shaped by choice and desire.
The Elevator Pitch: A dark and emotionally intense Bratva romance where a powerful mafia boss falls hard for the ballerina he’s sent to rescue. What begins with obsession and control transforms into a raw, redemptive love built on healing, devotion, and trust. High heat, primal tension, deep character growth, and a secret library make this an intense, gripping journey from captivity to chosen love.
Listen, you know I love a good mafia book. A spicy Russian mafia book with a ballerina? Heck yeah. That's right up my alley. But I don't know, maybe it was the fact I haven't read the others in the series or maybe I expected too much content in a novella, but I was left feeling unsatisfied. I enjoyed what I had, but I wanted more spice, more emotional intimacy, more learning of the FMC's background. It was very very Kon heavy, and while he was fine, there was always something holding me back. But the spice we got was good, and this was still nice for a middle of the night quick read.
This book is a quick and enjoyable read. It has an obsessed MMC, and he was obsessed at first sight — which made the story even more fun to follow, it also had surprise pregnancy.
I love how the author wrote Kon and Taylor’s love story. It was beautiful to read, and I genuinely enjoyed watching their relationship unfold.
The side characters were great too, adding richness to the story without overshadowing the main couple.
This is a solid 4.5-star read for me, and I recommend it. Thank you to the author and NetGalley for this ARC.
Kon is tasked by the London Math club (aka a syndicate) to save Taylor from a ballet troupe that is a high price escort service. Taylor thought she would be a ballerina, well she got trafficked instead while dancing to survive. When Kon finds and rescues her, she instantly falls for the hot older Pakhan. Kon was never in love, but his sweet little dancer changed everything for him. Instalove, age gap, sweet, steamy, forbidden , romantic and safe with an awesome HEA 😍😍😍😍😍
Taylor and Kon, wow, another mafia read that had me smiling, swooning and cheering them on. She is being held by a ballet troupe, isolated completely from her sisters. Kon comes to the rescue that is complicated, stressful and eventually successful. Lots of dirty talk, passion and above all else, love.

A fter meeting their, spouses from the london maths club, Kon basically volunteers to find Taylor and he does. He saves her, brings her back to her sisters. They fall in love after a brief separation. A quick and dirty job turns into so much more! While I’m learning insta love isn’t my favorite trope (I’m more an insta lust gal) i still had such a fun time reading this. Who doesn’t want a gentle giant who converts an entire apartment to be a cozy and safe library for you?
This one made me irrationally angry. Not only were the brothers in law super rude and hypocrites, but the FMC didn’t say “I love you” (not once!), we got little spice when the other books had more, and the FMC’s personality itself was annoying.
Kon was devoted and obsessed and Taylor couldn’t even be honest and brave to tell him how she felt? And the sisters were annoying too, I loved them in their own books, but this one? It messed up every character that we met.
I’m so sad because it started off so good with the hotel moment and everything, but it went downhill from there.

No one knows that Haley had been actively looking for Taylor all these years until one day she received the call from her at home with her children and husband Maxim Zaitsev and her younger sister Payton and husband Feliks Rykov. Konstantin Morosov a.k.a. Kon is a kingpin of the Harlesden mafia. As a favor to the London Mafia Syndicate, Kon decided to extract Taylor Love from Russia. He had a pass relationship with the pakhan years before when he lived in Russia and his former boss. Aleksandr, is the pakhan of the Volk Bratva. He was part of the Volk mafia ten years ago and although he hardly left on friendly terms he wasn't in Russia to see Aleksander's rage. Taylor was taken by Yevgeny, whose the manager of the ballet. The ballerinas are not really part of an exclusive ballet company, but in fact part of a human trafficking ring. Kon is a forty-three year old hardened, jaded, tatted, handsome, dangerous, muscular grumpy sunshine mob boss. He had been in Russia for a couple of days now watching the ballerinas performance on stage. But his cock as been limped as a three-day old lettuce despite the amount of skins on display and the eye watering flexibility of the ballerinas. Not only is waif-like girls not his thing, but he's old enough to be their dad. He's bored and restless out of his mind but he have a job to do. As soon as his eyes falls on beautiful brunette hair girl in the middle something about her grips his throat as she dances. His blood pumps and the rest of the world falls away, he felt alive. She moves differently from the rest but as she look up head shock ricochets through his body and he realize two things. One, was this girl was going to be his obsession on a level he have never had before for any woman. Not even as a teenager, there was a sense of recognition. And two, she's Taylor Love the girl that he was there to extract as a favour. The pictures that he was given of her was from years ago and when he examined the photo he felt nothing. Taylor as been very lucrative for Aleksandr and have made a lot of men happy. Kon quickly realized that Aleksandr it was a high class brothel. He tells Aleksandr that he wanted her and how much she was for the night. Kon cock keeps rising for Taylor but he was warn off of engaging in any activity with Taylor by the kingpins of Greenwich and Beckenham, that if he fucked around with their sister-in-law that they would string him up. And it doesn't matter if he was the one who brought her home. Taylor is pure, beautiful, and talented. Taylor has been with the company since she was sixteen and is a virgin, she as remain that way for years because no one wants to pay the price for her. With her being a virgin as created another problem for Kon because of his attraction. Taylor had a instant dislike for Kon from the way how he talked. Kon was very protective and possessive of her. The thing was Taylor Love just didn't know yet that she was going to be his and he wasn't going to let her go. She was shocked when she learnt that he was actually there to rescue her. She was very problematic at first and didn't want to leave without the other girls and Madam Polina, the ballet mistress. Although Kon knows that he had created a problem for himself in touching Taylor it was problem that he was willing to bare the consequences for. Taylor realized that her first thought of Kon was nothing like she thought he was once he saved her and her friends and she fell in love with him. Kon took her virginity and she unexpectedly got pregnant. Kon went up against the Greenwich and Beckenham Bratva, and Taylor proved to her sisters and in laws that she was in love with Kon and the two eventually got their HEA.

I needed something quick and spicy before diving into my Christmas read and the book I’m BETA reading and this was perfect!
I already knew @evierose so when I stumbled on her book on @netgalley I was so happy!
Say mafia romance and you know I’m all in and when the MMC is as obsessed and protective as Kon is I just can’t resist!
First he saves her, then he tries to stay away and when he can’t take it anymore he doesn’t just come back for her, but he gives her an apartment where he built a hidden library with a slide… I mean A SLIDE!!!!!!
I would have married him but Taylor beat me to it 🤣
Bratva's Innocent Obsession is the kind of dark mafia novella that grabs you by the throat on page one, kisses you on page two, and has already picked out baby names by page three. It is fast, intense, and entirely unbothered by concepts like pacing, boundaries, or subtlety, which is precisely the charm for readers who adore chaotic Bratva obsession. Our FMC Taylor is our innocent ballerina, soft, sheltered, and completely unprepared for the level of feral devotion coming her way. She is sweet, graceful, and simply trying to survive her circumstances without losing her mind. Kon, our MMC, is the Bratva boss with all the nuance of a sledgehammer wrapped in tattoos. He spots Taylor once and decides she is now the sun, moon, stars, and emergency contact on every form he fills out. He is territorial, ruthless, and blissfully uninterested in taking things slowly. Taylor’s life takes a sharp turn when she witnesses something she should not have and lands squarely within the sphere of Kon’s dangerous world. What begins as a moment of accidental contact spirals into a collision of fear, chemistry, and protection that is anything but gentle. Kon takes it upon himself to watch over her, a task he interprets as a full-time, no-boundaries assignment. He inserts himself into Taylor’s life with a single-minded determination that is both overwhelming and inescapably magnetic. As threats close in around her, Kon becomes the only thing standing between Taylor and very real danger. Their connection deepens rapidly, fuelled by adrenaline, proximity, and Kon’s absolute refusal to let her out of his sight. What follows is a whirlwind of possessive devotion, unexpected vulnerability, and choices made far too fast for any reasonable person, but perfectly paced for the genre’s delicious brand of chaos. The story hits high emotional stakes in a compact format, blending dark elements with steamy intensity and pushing the couple into consequences neither of them fully understands until it is too late to turn back. This novella leans fully into instalove, age-gap intensity, and an accidental pregnancy twist. And if I'm being really honest, they're not tropes I typically enjoy, so the story did not fully connect with me, but if these are your favourites, then you will have an excellent time. The novella embraces the darker, possessive, fantasy-driven side of mafia romance and delivers it with unwavering commitment. If you want a fast, steamy, emotionally dramatic hit that asks no questions and barrels straight into obsession, this one does exactly that. So the book contains age-gap dynamics, we have dubious consent, CNC, kidnapping or forced proximity elements, mafia violence and intimidation, criminal activity, obsessive possessive behaviour, he falls first, as well as accidental pregnancy themes.
"But my needy little thing that it is, my heart longs for him."~Taylor❤️🔥
"We're fate, Taylor. You're my person, and I'm yours. I love you."~Kon❤️🔥
We've reached the final Love sister's rescue and love story. This story was action packed and romantic the way that former Russian mob guy Konstantin Morosov took one look at Taylor Love and that was it. He was enamored.😘😘 There's an age gap, he's 43 and she's 21, but it didn't stop them.😉 Now I had to go with the story that this young ballerina who was trafficked at 16yrs old, never once was with anyone. Logically that doesn't happen. And Taylor help set the price. Did I read that correctly? Okay then.🤷🏻 I went with it. Kon paid. Then they planned the biggest rescue during their unplanned watched evening together. It went sideways and something unexpected happened. Mercy. Say mercy. Taylor never once said it.😏😏🤫
🚩🚩 Make sure to read the TWs.🚩🚩
I liked Kon. He may look scary with his tattoos, has a bad past, but this man had only love and respect for Taylor. He wanted to stay by her side, to take care of her. Sweet, right? Yes, he turned into a stalker, but this very tall man wasn't going to walk away from his zhizn moya. He was attached.😍😍 Kon was obsessed but not in a bad way. He gave her a library with a slide. I mean come on. If that doesn't demonstrate love I don't know what will.🤣🤣 A library.🛝📚 He passed my test! lol I didn't like how *slight spoiler* Taylor's brother-in-laws kept interfering. Uh hello. Last I checked you both do shady deals, are in the same line of work, one kidnapped one sister and was older so come up with better excuses guys. Let them decide.👩🏻❤️💋👨🏻
Taylor was very sweet as she adjusted back to life with her family in London. I wanted for her to show more gumption for what she wanted. Or rather who. Taylor knew who she wanted to be with and that was Kon. So why not say something sooner. I still liked her.hehe Just wanted more of that sass she had in the beginning of the story.🫰🏻🫰🏻
This was a slow burn romance. When you think there was progress, someone interfered. The world building worked. There's limited spice. It was still there.🔥💋🔥💋 This was more emotional and maintaining that connection. Did they finally get their HEA? You should read it. I enjoyed it. The epilogue was super cute.🩰👧🏻🧔🏻♂️ Happy reading.*•>§<•*💜💜💜💜
🕺🏻🌟💃🏻Thank you to Ms Rose and Booksprout. The opinions shared here are my own.💃🏻🌟🕺🏻
This is the final book in the author’s Obsessed Bratva Bosses series and features Taylor, the missing ballerina sister of Hayley (The Bratva’s Secret Girl) and Payton (The Bratva’s Stolen Bride) Love, each married to one of the bosses in the interconnected London Maths Club series (it isn’t REALLY called the London Maths Club series but I can’t remember the actual name right offhand though I’ll forever think of as the Maths Club!).
When Taylor’s location was discovered to be as a member of a Russian ballet troupe run by the mafia by one of her sister’s husbands, he hired Konstantin, a former member of the Volkov Russian mafia, to return to Russia to rescue her and return her to London to be with her sisters. Not only was it a dangerous mission to steal from the mafia, he was also taking his life in his hands to return after double crossing them in a previous territory takeover. He wasn’t too concerned however, he had lost all interest in life and reveled in the danger and feeling alive… until he saw Taylor and suddenly he felt like she WAS his life and now he had so much to lose.
Amid the chaos of deceiving the Volkov boss and coming up with a plan to steal the whole dance troupe away at Taylor’s pleading, our older man fell hook, line and sinker for the much younger woman only to be warned away by her brother-in-laws after rescuing her.
I’ve loved every one of the books in this and the other interconnected series but I think Kon has a special place in my heart. After being told that if he cared for her he would leave her alone, knowing that she was the only woman he would ever love, he still stayed away. He watched her, constantly, but he stayed completely out of sight, content to just know she was safe; I can’t remember any of the other mafia MMCs being so self sacrificing. I was beyond happy to see these two finally get their HEA!
I read all the time, all different kinds of books but by far, my favorite MMCs all share the same basic traits… they’re all obsessed, possessive and protective and Kon checked all of those boxes with his feelings for Taylor. If that sounds like your kind of MMC, this book might be your next must read. 5++ stars.

Taylor is trapped in a ballet troupe that moonlights as a nefarious trafficking ring (yes, the premise is as wild as it sounds). However, right from the start, a few things completely threw me. We’re told Taylor was lured to Moscow at the age of sixteen, yet five years later we’re expected to believe that she’s still a virgin? And don’t even get me started on the whole “the girls set their own price” situation. Then there’s Kon. Konstantin Morosov arrives in Russia at Taylor’s sisters’ request, determined to pull her out of this living nightmare. He ends up paying an outrageous sum for her virginity just to get her alone so he can get her out of there. But even when Taylor believes he’s there to rescue her, she suddenly has conditions. From the moment he saw her, Kon knew he would so anything for this woman, so of course he agrees. Naturally, all this unfolds while he’s pretending to deflower her, a plan that goes off the rails (and also a lesson in why coitus interruptus is not a reliable method). Once Kon and company finally reach London, I absolutely hated how Taylor’s sisters and their partners treated him. The man risked his life to save her, and all he gets is a lukewarm thank you and strict orders to stay away? No one even bothers asking Taylor what she wants before they bundle her away. Still, Kon can’t stay away and though he keeps his distance physically, he never stops watching her and keeping her safe. I loved how much he wanted to protect her and give her the life she dreamed of, right down to gifting her the perfect apartment… which of course was conveniently connected to his. If you’re willing to suspend disbelief on some of the more improbable plot points, this is a sweet, slow-burn mafia romance about two people fighting their way through a mess of obstacles to finally be together. The journey is emotional, intense, and dramatic, and despite the chaos, it delivers a deserved happy ending. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I breezed through this book, but unfortunately not for the best reasons, as I ended up skimming a lot. The writing felt **very immature** and just couldn’t hook me 😬. This is the third book in the series, so maybe it lands better if you’ve read the first two, but for me the plot felt **thin and rushed**.
The MMC is hired by the FMC’s sisters to find and rescue her from a **sex trafficking ring** 🔥🖤—which should’ve been an emotional, layered storyline. Instead, you don’t get much backstory. It’s unclear how long she was held, but it seems like years, and that trauma is barely explored. Instead, the story focuses more on the FMC being a **virgin** 🙈, which felt like a missed opportunity for depth.
There’s also a scene where the two characters *“have”* to get intimate to put on a show for the captors, and I really didn’t like that the FMC basically blamed herself for it 😕. It was uncomfortable and not handled with the nuance a topic like this needs.
Overall, the book had potential, but the pacing and lack of emotional development didn’t work for me.
Bratva’s Innocent Obsession is a captivating and emotional dark romance that proves even the most broken souls can find their missing piece. I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book, and I can honestly say it exceeded my expectations. It is a beautifully written story about resilience, protection, and finding light in the darkest places.
Character Depth and Resilience The strongest part of this book is undoubtedly the characters. Evie Rose has managed to create two leads with incredible depth.
The FMC: I absolutely loved her. Despite the tragedies and hardships she has faced, she doesn't let her past break her. Instead of being beaten down by her circumstances, she remains a remarkably strong character. Her inner strength is inspiring, and it made me root for her from the very first page.
The MMC: He is "broken" in his own way, but watching him find his "missing puzzle piece" in the FMC was incredibly touching. Seeing a man like him find something—and someone—worth fighting for so fiercely was one of the most beautiful aspects of the story.
Writing and Pacing The book is very well-written and easy to follow. The pacing is perfect; it keeps you engaged throughout, and the world-building feels natural. Even after finishing the last page, I found myself wanting more. It’s one of those stories that stays with you long after you’ve closed the book.
A Note on the Romance While this book definitely features a fair amount of smut, it never felt like "too much" or unnecessary. Instead, it felt like an essential part of the narrative. It was moving to see how these two broken souls found intimacy and comfort in each other. The physical connection mirrored their emotional healing, making their bond feel authentic and deep.
I highly recommend Bratva’s Innocent Obsession to anyone who loves a dark romance with strong leads and a lot of heart. It is a story of survival and intense devotion that I couldn't put down
If you’re looking for a mafia romance that combines intensity, danger, and an irresistible heat, Bratva’s Innocent Obsession is a page-turner you won’t want to put down. Evie Rose delivers a story that’s both darkly thrilling and emotionally charged, with characters who will haunt you long after the last page.
Taylor is a ballerina whose life has been anything but safe—caught in the perilous world of trafficking and deception, she’s both fierce and vulnerable. When Kon, a tattooed, commanding Bratva boss, pays an outrageous price to claim her for a night, sparks fly that neither of them can ignore. But this isn’t just a story of seduction; it’s about resilience, trust, and the unexpected vulnerability that love can reveal.
Kon’s instant obsession with Taylor is electrifying. He’s possessive, dangerous, and yet heartbreakingly human in the way he can’t let her go. Taylor, meanwhile, refuses to be a passive victim—her courage and determination make her the perfect counterpart to Kon’s intensity. Together, their chemistry is explosive, heart-stopping, and impossible to resist.
The novella also beautifully connects to Evie Rose’s other works, bringing in familiar threads from previous books and deepening the stakes with Taylor’s ballet troupe rescue mission. From the icy streets of Russia to London’s family drama, the story blends suspense, romance, and a touch of danger that keeps you turning pages.
Bratva’s Innocent Obsession is more than just a dark mafia romance—it’s a story of love found in impossible circumstances, of trust built in the shadow of danger, and of two people who would do anything to claim each other. Taylor and Kon’s journey is intense, emotional, and unforgettable, making this a must-read for fans of steamy, high-stakes romance.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Looking for a mafia romance that’s addictive, emotional, and scorching hot ? Bratva’s Innocent Obsession by Evie Rose has everything I love in a dark, high-stakes novella.
Taylor, a talented ballerina trapped in a trafficking ring masquerading as a dance company, has been living a nightmare. Enter Kon—a fierce, tattooed Bratva boss whose presence alone shifts the entire room. He pays an outrageous sum just to get a moment alone with her, planning a rescue… but the connection that explodes between them is something neither expects. That night changes everything.
Once Taylor is reunited with her sisters, Kon tries to stay away for her sake—but they’re both miserable without each other. Despite the family’s hesitation, he never stops looking out for her. And when Taylor realizes she’s pregnant ? Kon wastes zero time making it clear that she and their baby are his entire world. His protectiveness, mixed with his vulnerability when it comes to her, is absolutely heart-melting.
This novella balances grit, desire, longing, and soft moments so perfectly. The tie-ins to Evie Rose’s other books make the story even richer, weaving together danger, romance, and emotional healing against the backdrop of Russia and London.
If you’re in the mood for a short, intense romance with sizzling chemistry, raw emotion, and a couple who can’t stay away from each other no matter the risks—this is the one. Evie Rose continues to prove why she’s an auto-buy author for me!!
Another excellent book by Evie Rose! The story immediately immerses you in the story and was written so well that you do not want the story to end. Konstantine (Kon) Morosov is the mafia kingpin of Harlesden, London. Taylor Love is the third sister mentioned in previous books. Taylor has been missing since she was 16 when she was tricked into being a ballet dancer for the Volk Bratva ballet/human trafficking ring. Kon is in Russia to extract Taylor as a favor to the London Mafia Syndicate (London Maths Club). Taylor’s two sisters are Payton and Hayley, who are married to the kingpins of Greenwich and Beckenham, who are also members of the LMS. Kon sees Taylor dancing and is immediately smitten. The book describes their obsessive, possessive, instalove, smexxy relationship, and how their relationship develops.
Bratva’s Innocent Obsession is an excellent book. It is a deliciously filthy, dark, mafia, age-gap romance that features a well-crafted storyline. Rose excels with character development and world building. I love the London Maths Club, and the author has written another unique take of the LMC gang that made me laugh, swoon, and gasp with each fresh new version. It is amazing how the kingpins are written as a combination of sweet and brutal men who deeply love their women and would do anything for them. Their meetings are always some of my favorite parts of the books. I recommend this delightful book.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this advanced copy via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This was the most impulsive NetGalley request I've ever had on this website. I saw "Mafia" coupled with "Read Now" and clicked with zero hesitation. I don't believe I've ever read this author before, but mafia romances always stir me up. The possessiveness mixed with danger revs my engine in a way where fiction trumps reality. If a man acted this way towards me in real life, I would be running for the hills. The Bratva's Innocent Obsession was a novella about a dangerous mafia man who must protect a ballerina but ends up falling for her. The plot was a little ludicrous, but I only read novellas for the spice. Let's be totally honest here. There was a scene where they had to pretend under the covers something was going on, but the MMC got too method with his acting. This was a silly premise to me. Either commit to the fake bit or just don't pretend at all. I did like the author's writing, although it did get repetitive and confusing as the book progressed. I would be completely open to reading more from Evie Rose as I adore Mafia romances. This was a unique short story and it would be fun to explore more from this series. I can't say I'm a fan of the guns, but I'm certainly intrigued by the beefcakes holding them.
