Excellent! Best all encompassing cookbook, along with I Heart Kosher these are a wonderful arsenal. If you have both of these books by Kim you won't need another kosher cookbook. You can use recipes from The New Kosher to impress guests or to make wholesome food for your family...and it is not good your Bubbi made. Kim is relatable, sophisticated, and knows how to cook, all of which radiates from her cookbooks. Her recipes always come out perfectly, and I used them straight as is and some I used for inspiration. Always mega flavorful and it's food you actually want to it! It's definitely a next-level kind of kosher cooking. Perfect for the modern world and for those who are not kosher, because it's just a glorious cookbook!
Gorgeous photos! There are definitely some recipes I want to try! Update: I loved these recipes: P. 62–Caramelized Onion, Fennel & Mushroom Soup P. 69–Lentil Soup with Carrots, Lemon & Greens P. 88–Kohlrabi, Edamame Salad (I left out the honey) P. 97–Avocado, Hearts of Palm Salad (I substituted lima beans for edamame and left out the honey) P. 113–Thai-Style Salmon (I left out the plum sauce and maple syrup and it was delicious!)
A great all around kosher cookbook with every course from fish to dessert. Has a great selection of easy side dishes to complement any meal plus some surprising dessert choices. Good for beginner cooks as well. This is my go-to cookbook when company is coming over. Every dish has something special about it. Highly recommended.
