As a child, Linda was often found lying on her bed reading about characters having exciting adventures in places far away. Upon reaching a landmark birthday, she decided to write one of those romances she loved so much. Easier said than done. Perseverance paid out and twelve years later, she received her first call from a publisher and a confession story was published. Now Linda writes heartwarming contemporary and historical stories with a touch of humor, and many have a tie to her previous home of Texas.
Linda enjoys writing from her cabin in the mountains among the cedar and pines with her husband of 34 years and their two much-loved dogs.

I really enjoyed this compilation of stories. At first I wasn't sure what to expect from the set. Would it hold short stories that fell under paranormal romance and romantic suspense/thriller sub-genres? I think overall, the editors at Roane put together a very interesting collection of stories, ranging from fantasy to the ghostly. Everything had a taste of romance or at least love.

As a reader, I tend to prefer paranormal and contemporary romance and occasionally stray to the romantic suspense. It was fun getting out of my normal comfort zone into stories that stalk the lines of horror and urban fantasy more than romance.

Can love exist around the spooky, mystical and unknown? This series shows that love is worth the leap, despite the pain. I recommend this book for readers of romance, fantasy and urban fantasy. And I look forward to reading more from these authors!

***POSSIBLE SPOILERS BELOW***

Bewitching Gypsy, by Linda Carroll-Bradd. 3 stars. I really enjoyed the magic and description of this piece, but I had trouble with the woman’s dialect. It was a bit too thick and kept pulling me out of the piece. There seemed to be attraction between the hero and heroine but I would have liked more romance.

Garden of Souls, by Michelle Ziegler. 4 stars. This piece started off a little disjointed for me, there was a sudden leap to the nightclub from the house and I feel that moment would have been stronger if she remained in once place for the whole of it. At a later point, there was some dialogue between the heroine and her ghost that was hard to follow. Overall, this piece was fun and the ending was very satisfying.

If This Be Madness, by Echo Shea. 5 stars. I felt that this was a fabulous piece and I really enjoyed the glimpse into the mind of a hag, especially one who has managed to keep her impulses at bay for so long. The description is beautiful and the woman’s love for her husband was beautiful.

The Ghost of a Chance, by Lily Carlyle. 4 stars. The plot of this story was fun. I like the premise of it a lot. It did strike me as a little odd though that we didn’t get more of a response (emotional or her trying to reason through it) from Julie that it was strange that Sean was around because he was dead. It didn’t seem like something she would keep to herself.

Do You Believe in Ghosts?, by Anne Higa. 5 stars. This world was a lot of fun, where ghosts and mediums are commonplace. And I thought it sweet how we got a sort of double romance in this.

Encantado, by Havva Murat. 3 stars. This was a good spooky story and I enjoyed learning a little about this other mystical world. I had a bit of trouble keeping track of the different characters at the start and I could have used a bit more time on the romance at the beginning so the love at the end would have been more meaningful. The jump in time felt a little sharp to me too.

Where Angels Tread, by Christy Thomas. 5 stars. The world was so deeply developed and so easy to learn. This was a delectable little morsel of a story. I really enjoyed this eternal romance.

Spooky Hollow Cafe, by Lisa Adams. 4 stars. This piece was fun and I enjoyed seeing the hero’s point of view as he learned about the ghost world. The final scene came across more as an epilogue and seemed a bit out of place in this short a format.

This set of anthologies are brilliant if you want a quick read, that you can pick up when you have a few minutes to spare. The stories where about the paranormal - ghosts, witches and Death Angels and other creatures. Each author has there own style and I enjoyed all the stories.

Bewitching Gypsy - Linda Carroll-Bradd - This is a lovely story of a widowed witch, a baby and a ranch owner. I would have loved a full book about these characters and a continuation to their story.

Garden of Souls - Michelle Ziegler - This is about Miranda and Sean and Thomas, Sean wants to date Miranda but she is in love with Thomas so this contains a love triangle with a twist.

If This Be Madness - Echo Shea This story is about a Hag, who has never had children and her husband, who loves her, even in death.

The Ghost of a Chance - Lily Carlyle This is a story about Julie and Sean, Julie and Sean dated, then Sean left so when she bumps into him in the local bar her stomach drops as she has never stopped loving him. Sean is there with work and when Julie comes to the bar he buys her a drink so that he can talk to her again. This is a beautiful love story with a twist.

Do You Believe in Ghosts - Anne Higa - Jeff returns home after a time away to his deceased mothers house after leaving his job after a disagreement. The house does not look any different and neither does his mum. This is a story of ghosts and second chances. I would love a full version of this story.

Encantado - Havva Murat This story is about a young man frightened of water, a friend and his sister. Remy likes Marcos's sister Rafaela but Marcos is very adamant that nothing is to happen between them. One night they go into the disused theme park, Marcos and his girlfriend leave Remy and Rafeala together and this is where the nightmare begins. I would have loved to learn more about these characters too.

Where Angels Tread - Christy Thomas This story is about a Death Angel, the spirit of his wife, in another body and a little girl. I would have loved a longer version of this story as there is so much more to these characters.

The Spooky Hollow Café - Lisa A. Adams This story is about a witch, 2 ghosts, a cafe and a new employee Jason. Agge can not seem to keep staff because of her 'friends', Roderick is a jealous ghost that makes appearances at the Spooky Hollow Cafe, he takes an instant dislike to Jason and tries to get him to leave. This is a great story just loved how they work things out.

Spooktacular Seductions is the perfect anthology not only for the Halloween time but for every time you want to read a story with a little bit of terror in it.

Composed by eight stories that will blow your mind in different ways, this is a set of unique stories. Each one has its element of paranormal, ghosts, death, angels or just spooky in it. The writings styles are really different one from another so it's hard to say something about it. However, I will say that the authors did a great job creating palpable worlds, likable and real characters. They achieve the task of making the feelings and emotions real and what's more important the language and use of words is superb. The book has an excellent quality and there are no flaws to mention.

There are some stories I enjoyed more than other, I won't lie, but I found something good in all of them. In Bewitching Gypsy there is a fantastic witch and a good ending. In Garden of Souls the ghost was too gentle and human and it was impossible not to love him. If This Be Madness is really creepy and the perfect example of terror. Ghost of a Chance is sweet, addiction and it's full of action and the ending is breathtaking. Do You Believe in Ghosts is a really good story about forgiveness and moving on. Encantado was one of my favorites, the outcome is spectacular and the characters are great. Where Angels Tread is a story about endless love and angels. This one is really good because you can feel sadness and pure love through the words. Spooky Hollow Café is really entertaining, full of adrenaline and action and of course romance.

Overall, an excellent anthology. Very recommendable for lovers of paranormal and short stories.

There is a lot of love written into each story. This was a little odd to me since I wasn't expecting that kind of emotional depth to such short stories. The word or page limits that make a story short is also what keeps characters from developing, ends being rushed, and emotions being superficial. But the authors did, in my opinion, a terrific job weaving their characters' emotions in with the magic and mystery of each tale.

Ghosts, witches, angels, shape shifters. These are often associated with Halloween but this anthology is not. It's great for a late night or a lazy afternoon or even a much needed--but quick!--break from reality. It's also a great introduction to authors you've never read before. Each brings their individual style to this collection. I look forward to discovering other works by these authors, and I hope you do too.

4.5*

I love anthologies with my limited time to read. This Anthology was no exception. I love all things holiday or full of romance.
This book was both.

There were a few stories with witches and even more with ghosts. Some stories can make you tear up, while others will get you giggling. Like all anthologies there might be one or two stories that aren't your favorite, but with 8 to pick from, this book is well worth it!

Each author has a distinctly unique voice and original stories about Halloween.

If you are up for life after death, eternal love, mischievous characters, and a lot of happily ever after-sometimes in the afterlife, step into the worlds of Spooktacular Seductions.

I Loved Echo Shea's story of the hag. It surprised me of how she made me feel for the hag. Before I read this story I always thought of the hag as a bad person but this was a wonderful story of love.

LENA'S RANDOM REVIEWS
An ABLS R-4-R

A little about the Book:
This book is made up of 8 very different yet equally intriguing romantic stories. All of which kept me guessing at the end

Lena's Opinion

I absolutely loved these stories. This group of Authors complemented each other well. I have read other multi- author books, not many but a few, and I must say, usually one or two will stick out about the crowd. These ladies went well together and kept their stories flowing in rhythm with the others, making the book come together very nicely.

Pros: I didn't feel like I was reading from the same author. Each story had a very different unique touch to them. A different spin on things but still all kept you guessing as to how they would end. Every story was well written from start to finish and kept mystery and intrigue in the air through out the book. This would be one I would love to have in Book form and signed by all

Cons: Every Story left me wanting to know more.

If you like mystery, intrigue, romance paranormal and short stories, This book is a Must read. Get your copy today

I give these stories 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆

The most BeWitching Hauntingly Spooktacular Book I've read in a long time!!!!!!

I absolutely LOVE this book and can't find enough words to describe how exciting this book is!!!!! At first I was numbering them in the order that I was loving these stories but I no longer can. They are all unique in their own way. Each one was different and phenomenal!!!!! I bought this book late in the evening and if it wasn't because I had to go to sleep, this book would've been done in less than eight hours. I couldn't put it down. When I went to bed I was replaying the stories in my head. Feeling the magic and tenderness. I wish each of these authors would continue working together and make a yearly short story Halloween Paranormal Romance Book 2. I'm usually not too much into romance but the romance in these stories were nice and low-key. Nothing exotic or forever mushy.

I promise you whoever buys this book won't be sorry!!!! I am buying 25 more for book club to give as Halloween treats!!!!!!!

Spooktacular Seductions is a great anthology all around. There wasn't one story I didn't enjoy. Each has tons of paranormal all types so whether your thing is angels to ghost there's something for everyone.

These eight stories will keep you reading till the end. Each writing style is different so you'll be able to get a taste of each author in case you may want to read more by them. I won't pick favorites as they all have there good points :)

This is a great paperback to own and I know i'll treasure my copy dearly and the cover is great. This book is good all year long!

Highly recommend those who need some short paranormal stories and just love paranormal in general.

Spooktacular Seductions is an anthology of paranormal stories from eight authors. These stories are short and easy to read. While I never felt I got to spend enough time with many of the characters to form a connection, I did appreciate the creativity in these stories.

I thought the title of this anthology was a little misleading. I wanted more of a Halloween read as these stories are marketed as spooky. Unfortunately, these paranormal stories contained very little terror. This anthology does have a romance element, however, I wouldn't consider these stories seductions. I was expecting more romance. All in all the stories were okay and well edited.
