Dietrich Harlan is a former priest and exorcist who is still reeling from the fight of his life. In his last night as an exorcist, he nearly died while battling the demon K’rall. He moved away and left that life behind, but trouble has found him once again.
This time an ancient spirit is bent on causing as much mayhem and destruction as possible. Using a little boy as his gateway, the demon is far more ruthless than K’rall. Except this demon is unlike any other. He has no plan or purpose, just chaos.
Amanda Ross has faced K’rall head to head and joins Dietrich in an epic fight for survival.
This one was far better than the first one. Though you can call it Zombie Horror. The vulgar scenario too much to read but enough to terrify you. Hell of a read that was...
As the story begins Dietrich Harlan who was former priest left his terrific past behind and wanted to move forward again. But the nightmare didn't stop but it started again. This time that demon entity more anything but superhuman. It has no stop and nothing could be applied on it to summon. That entity or say that ancient spirit beyond anything. There's little the normal peoples could do against them. As the ancient spirits took over many peoples and became use them it was all that you can do to visualise yourself a total gore, horrific horror crime. Amanda, Ted alongside with few more people they need to find out a solution about this chaos. Could they do that? Otherwise they would die like all those poor characters but never get up...
Obviously want to read the 3rd part to know the fate of these ancient spirits like how they really ends or say terminated...
I really enjoyed this book. It had a great storyline and I loved how it built so big and went into another town. The new characters were great too. They all gelled together really well. And Simon was a great addition. It was exciting and had you rooting for Amanda to something to help. As always loved all the blood and gore and how the description of the demons and people who changed, that you could picture them running amok, chasing people. Great story, great read , great author. Can't ask for more.
The prologue of this book hooked me and pulled me into the horrific darkness of demons. The extreme gore came soon after and things got just plain nasty. I wasn't as much into that, but I did want to follow the storyline and see things through. The plot and horror was very good in this book. I would be curious to read more and find out what happens for Amanda and the demons next.
I read the first book and thought wow this is great. Usually when there is a sequal to a book it is not as good but this one was better. Loved all the stuff on the devils and demons and possession. Great job on this and I can't wait for the next one
