Well hello Oliver Van Doren!!! Jennifer, tsk tsk tsk. You naughty girl, you! I see what you did. You finally wrote a boy-obsessed who is teetering on the obsessive line - and barely so. And I am sooooo here for it! Because Oliver, the Big O??!?! OMG his obsession with Rina? Can you hear me screeching? Can you hear me gasping and waving a fan in my face while I squirm uncomfortably in my seat? Because I am! He's so totally and completely obsessed and in love with Rina that he's downright bossy and deliciously obsessed and possessive. Might this be your best and most obsessively "he falls first - and hard" mixed with "possessive" MMC? Why, ma'am, I think so! But then his bossy side?!?!?! Giiiiiiiirl. Can I just tell you how I melted? Of course being the strong women we are IRL, we HATE the idea of being bossed around by our IRL MMCs, but our fictional ones?!? All bets are off on that one. And how Jennifer has threaded Oliver's bossiness into this story? Omg, it's everything. But truthfully, it's not fully "bossiness" it's more like... he wants to take care of Rina - he loves her so much that he just wants her to have everything she doesn't even know she needs. Ugh, it's just so dang good.
That aside, "Show Me Forever" is the third book in the Chicago Railers Hockey series and can I tell you how much I am obsessed with this series? Because holy guacamole. I can't get enough. Can I also say how Jennifer teases other storylines throughout has me rabid for the next book! Like, right now? I NEED the next book - the grumpy goalie. Can I call dibs on him? Asking for a friend... I digress.
I never get into the particulars of a book in my reviews, but for me the above was a HUGE part of this book and it was so dang thrilling. I couldn't put this book down and I fell so hard for Rina and Oliver. They are so dynamic and amazing. And of course, like any Jennifer Sucevic book, the writing is top-notch, the story and world are so vivid and engaging, while the characters are just... dynamic. Just incredible.
Now, I say that so I can say this: this book? Omg, can we just say that it was pure poetry!!! Yes, I said it. I highlighted sooooo many lines in this book that just blew my socks off. The way that Jennifer has crafted the words in this book totally blew my mind because I was just in awe of how completely and totally poetic the words she used were. And let me tell you, I have literally read every single Jennifer book - no joke, every book! So I feel like I'm some sort of unofficial expert on the matter. So when I tell you that this book is poetry??? I completely, one-million-percent mean it. It got the point that I had to message Jennifer and I was like, "Ma'am! What type of poetic sorcery have you written???" My jaw was just on the ground and I had to read and re-read so many lines of this book and then I just gaped at it because I was in awe of her pure poetry. Like... I can't even put into proper words right now to describe it to you and frankly I'm probably butchering this, but just... just know this, this book is incredible. And while you read it, you need to make sure you slow yourself down so that you can truly take in the poetic magic that is unfolding on the pages before you.
Now, with that said... Jennifer? Ma'am, the next book? Just dedicate it to me right now because I'm claiming all of it. The way you teased that grumpy goalie and his FMC? I am obsessed and I don't even have a clue about the story yet. I just have a feeling that based on how OBSESSED I am with Oliver and Rina, I think that you will continue the trend in this series and that is that you make me fall soooo hard for each new couple, and so even though I'm currently living in the afterglow of Oliver and Rina, the way you teased the next book, I'm already salivating. So, put me in coach - I'm ready to one-hundred-percent go feral for your next story while I am still recovering from this one!
This was my first book from Jennifer and I really enjoyed it! Definitely wanting to go back to the beginning of the series and also continue to see where it goes!
Accidental pregnancy is my favorite trope so when I saw this included I knew it was the perfect way to introduce me to Jennifer’s writing. I loved how the girl group and the players all were connected and they had their own little found family. The book was also very easy to follow without reading the first two books yet, which I’m now eager to read!
The way Oliver was so down bad for Rina from the beginning! I loved how he put in the work and pursued her. Even before he found out Rina was pregnant he was all in and waiting for Rina to give him a chance to show he was all in. He moves fast and is eager but also understands Rina has fears and insecurities and works to try and be patient for her.
Cannot wait to come back to this little Railers world! The next book definitely draws my interest as well!

Show Me Forever is a secret relationship, unplanned pregnancy, forbidden romance between an all star hockey player and the best PR rep for their team. Oliver was been in love with Rina for years, but a certain fraternization policy has kept both of them away from each other. But after a drunken night and an unexpected hookup, Oliver and Rina can’t stay away from each other. They end up in a secret relationship so Rina won’t loose the job she has worked so hard for. But when two pink lines appear on a pregnancy test and pictures of the couple get posted to gossip sites, they have to decide if their relationship is really worth fighting for ❤️
This book had a lot of spice, but the thing I liked about it was it was meaningful to the characters. Oliver fell first and hard for Rina, but every time they hooked up he felt a real connection with her other than the physical one they obviously had. Rina has been so closed off and afraid of abandonment, so she is so afraid to fall in love. But the way Oliver wouldn’t give up on her was so sweet and swoony 🥰 And the brotherly love between the hockey players was funny and supportive.
The audiobook was duet narrated by Jason Clarke and Mollie Stark. Their performances were really good and I feel like they really understood their characters. The only thing about this book is that wish there was a little more story added in. This was the first book I’ve listened to from this author, and I’ll definitely be checking out more of their work ❤️
This book definitely starts with a bang, beginning with a one night stand that immediately pulls you into the story. If you love a hero who is completely down bad, a heroine determined to stay independent, and a forbidden relationship with plenty of tension, this one will absolutely catch your attention. The accidental pregnancy storyline also adds another layer that keeps things moving.
What kept me reading most was watching how their relationship developed once the story moved beyond that initial attraction. For a good portion of the first half, their chemistry felt very rooted in physical attraction, and I found myself wanting a little more emotional depth between them earlier on.
That said, once the characters began opening up and we got to know them better, the connection started to feel more believable and the relationship evolved in a way I appreciated. Overall, this was a solid read with enjoyable tropes, even if I wanted a little more emotional buildup from the start
Damn!! Oliver Van Doren is the definition of the word OBSESSED 🥵 That boy really knows about yearning!! Everything he knows is that he wants Rina, and he was sooo patient with her 🥹
I finished this book in one day because it was so fast-paced and entertaining that I couldn’t stop reading. The chapters were no longer than 10 minutes, which made it even easier to keep going. I give it 5⭐ because I’m a simple girl. All I need in my books is an obsessed boy, an accidental pregnancy, and fast-paced chapters, and I’m going to love it 🥰. And I do love this book✨ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thank you Valentine PR & Jennifer Sucevic for the ARC❤️ ⭐️/ 5 🌶️/3.5 💧/0
~ She’s a strong and independent woman who has serious trust issues with men. Because of this, she kept telling herself that she couldn’t be with Oliver, even though he promised her he wasn’t going anywhere until she accepted him 🥹~
~Before Rina, Oliver only cared about hockey. After meeting her, she became the only thing he could think about. And once his dream of being with her finally came true, he knew he would never let her go. No matter what it took, he was determined to make Rina trust him❤️🩹~
History📝: After one night when Rina finally gives in and agrees to spend the night with Oliver—the hockey player she’s not allowed to get involved with because they work together—the only thing she wants to do the next morning is forget it ever happened and call it a mistake.
But Oliver doesn’t see it that way. He has been OBSESSED with Rina for years, and that night meant everything to him. So he has no intention of letting her go.
And even though she tries to push him away, she soon realizes that the night they spent together came with consequences that will tie them together for life 🤰🏻
Fans of a man obsessed, you need to pick this one up. Relentless in his pursuit and slightly unhinged at times, Oliver Van Doren is down BAD. Every time Rina is all, “We can’t,” Oliver is all, “Hard pass; try again.”
I am firmly team AP lover. There’s something about seeing a man step up once he finds out he’s going to be a dad. And Oliver is all in immediately because he was already in love with Rina despite her best efforts to keep a wall between them. Rina is firmly against leaning on someone for support after her father left when she was young, while all Oliver wants is to support the woman he loves after his own father passed away when he was a child. It makes for a great dynamic.
Mollie Stark was perfect as Rina, voicing the strong, independent side of her as well as capturing the softer moments as she lets her walls down. Jason Clarke also performs Oliver well. And as always, loved duet narration.
Final note: I am frothing at the mouth for the next book. Giddy in anticipation. Need it yesterday.
I have been loving the Chicago Railers series and enjoyed this one as well! Rina is desperately trying to resist the pull she has towards Oliver, until one night where they can't hold back any longer. And seeing as it was hot & heavy, these two continue to hook in up in secret. Fast forward to Rina seeing those positive pink lines and I was kicking my feet because I love the accidental pregnancy trope! She's so set on denying any feelings she has since she works PR for the hockey team, but Oliver is determined to have his woman. I love how protective he is of her, especially after finding out he's going to be a dad - literally swooning over how much he cares! Seeing them both transform and Rina break down some of those walls for him was so heartwarming.
Also those bonus chapters are literally everything - I swear we better get an Evelyn & Hugh book at the end of this series because I need more of them too! But I am excited for what's coming next with the Railers!
What to expect: -accidental pregnancy -hockey player mmc -workplace -enemies to lovers -he falls first & hard -golden retriever x black cat -secret relationship -forced proximity
Thank you so much to Jennifer Sucevic & Valentine PR for gifting me an early copy of this book!
I love love a man obsessed and patient. Oliver is that. He waited years for one chance with Rina. From the get go we know his intentions even though Rina is trying to keep him at bay she ends up giving in most of the time. These two have such great chemistry inside and outside the bedroom. The surprise baby was and added bonus. I loved how Oliver was all in from the get go. & he showed up in a big way.
Thank you to The Author Agency and the author for an advance reader copy in exchange for an honest review.
I could not put this book down it was so addicting.
Ok Oliver is OBSESSED with Rina! Like obsessed obsessed. They work together so they shouldn’t be in a relationship. So she keeps trying to break off their “hookupship” but he just won’t let her and the man won’t back down! (But like, in a good way) cuz he just knows she’s it for him!!
He seriously was right on the border for stalkerish but I loved every second of it!
The way this man treasures Rina and takes care of her!!! Everyone needs an Oliver Van Doren in their lives!!!
oliver is obsessed and i am here for it!!!! rina’s guarded. she has trust issues and believes that the people she loves will leave. but oliver is there and doing whatever he can to prove to her that he’s not going anywhere. he’s patient, persistent and so dang sweet.
-accidental pregnancy -workplace romance -enemies to lovers -he falls first & hard -secret relationship
thank you jennifer sucevic & valentine pr for the arc 🩵
From the first chapter, they cause fireworks. 🎆 They are light-up-the-sky bright (the closet scene is smoking hot)! Rina Reynolds and Oliver (Ollie, Big O) Van Doren also make my heart melt and break.
'FYI, I just slept with the future Mrs. Van Doren.' -- Oliver Van Doren's text to his brother
Some things, like the oopsie, are telegraphed, but the delivery is what keeps my interest. Oliver's obsession is borderline too much, but it's also incredibly sweet. Her running like a scaredy-cat is also expected, but that twist is kinda perfect.
The friendships are awesome, and I love the relationship Ollie has with his family. Also, the setup for the next book looks good. 😉 Can't wait for more from this team!
Oh, and the side drama with Evelyn and Hugh? I think that's gonna need its own book, not just notes at the end of the book(s).
This is my first book from Jennifer, and I obviously started mid-series. There may be a few spoilers for earlier books, but starting on book three isn't an issue, as I am easily able to keep up. I do think returning to the beginning is in my future, though.
I listened to the audio book. The narrators in duet are Mollie Stark and Jason Clarke. I really like both narrators, and duet is always my preference. I definitely recommend the audio! 🎧💙🎧
ARC Provided by Jennifer Sucevic in exchange for honest review.
When Oliver Van Doren intervenes in Rina's date, she anticipates a one night thing. But two months later, after plenty of hookups, she discovers she's pregnant. Rina has always believed that no man will ever stick around, and that the only person she can depend on is herself, so when Oliver takes her to his penthouse and promises to take care of her and the baby forever, she freaks out. Can she ever move past her fear of being walked out on and her need to rely on nobody else? Will Oliver convince her that she and the baby are his forever?
I will start this review by saying I am not a fan of the pregnancy trope. I have never been a maternal woman, and I'd usually skip if I saw this trope. But I love Jennifer's work, so I gave it a chance - and actually, I'm so glad I did. It wasn't heavy on the effects of pregnancy or the medical details, instead focusing more on the relationship between the main characters, which I found far more palatable than going deep on pregnancy and what happens!
Jennifer says it herself - she is in her golden retriever MMC era with the Chicago Railers series, and Oliver Van Doren is no exception. He is all in with Rina from the moment he steals her away from her date in the club, and whilst she swears it is a one night only thing, he reels her back in over and over. Having experienced the loss of his dad at a young age, and seeing his Mum (Mom for you American readers!) having to cope on her own with a young family, the minute Rina announces she is pregnant, he insists she goes back to his home and stays there. He is determined that his family will not suffer any separation from him. Rina goes, but it is with trepidation and an intent to push him away. But Oliver Van Doren is not to be pushed away, and he is frankly, adorable. The maturing of Big O, which started when he hooked up with Rina the first time, accelerates fast when he discovers he is going to be a father, with her. He is super protective, has an epic "this woman is spoken for" scene, and whilst a little overenthusiastic at points, he is all the way in. He is another classic Sucevic MMC - adorable, attentive and intent on showing his woman what really being there means.
Rina is a woman raised to believe that the only person she can depend on is herself. Ever. Her dad left when she was 13, and her Mum (Mom) has instilled in her that belief ever since. So even though she's hooking up with Oliver regularly, she doesn't see any sort of future for them. When she finds out she's pregnant, her whole world shifts on its axis. Not only does it impact her job (she signed a non fraternising clause in her contract), she believes she cannot trust Oliver to keep to his pretty words. She pushes him away, gets sucked back into his orbit, pushes him away again and so on, before one specific declaration sends her running to the one person who can reframe her way of thinking. Then finally she can appreciate the joy of love and depending on someone else.
This story is set over a very short space of time, but doesn't feel rushed. Oliver's feelings for her go back before he hooks up with her, so it's natural for him to fall first (and hard), but Rina takes her time, which prevents it from feeling like an insta-love story.
The cameos are huge in this one - from Oliver's teammates, to Rina's friends (who just so happen to be either involved with teammates or hints are being made for future involvements). But the biggest cameos come in the shape of Hayes, Ava and Kia, who if you've read a lot of Sucevic's works, you'll recognise from her Western Wildcats series - even though Kia was a little dot! I am excited to see her story expanded in the next book in this series - the threads have been laid and I can't wait to see them develop!
If you've read my reviews before you'll know I'm a stickler for sports content in sports romance stories, and whilst there is some hockey content in this book, I would have liked to have seen a little more.
Show Me Forever is a joyful read studded with poignancy at losses (although in different ways) suffered by the lead characters, and how that past has shaped their response to a shock pregnancy. Oliver is a beautiful golden retriever with the right woman (despite his playboy past), and Rina is a strong and fiercely independent woman who relies on nobody but herself - until the time comes when she can't do that anymore. It's another big hit for me!
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to review this book!
🏒💙 One night. Two pink lines. And a hockey player who falls harder than anyone expected. 💙🏒
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) Spice-meter: 🌶️🌶️☆☆☆ (2/5) Audiobook: 🎧 Dual Series: Chicago Railers Hockey, Book 3 (interconnected standalone) HEA: Yes
Show Me Forever is a swoony pro-hockey romance that mixes workplace tension, surprise pregnancy, and forced proximity with plenty of banter and heart. Jennifer Sucevic leans into the emotional side of the trope, delivering a story about unexpected love, vulnerability, and discovering that the person you thought you had figured out might actually be exactly what you need.
This was my first book by Jennifer Sucevic, and I really enjoyed it. It definitely made me want to go back and start the series from the beginning while also continuing with the Chicago Railers world.
The Story
The heroine thinks she knows exactly who Oliver Van Doren is.
A charming, slightly chaotic NHL star with a reputation for creating messes that somehow always land in her lap to fix. They’re barely friends and definitely not supposed to act on the electric tension simmering between them.
Until one moment of weakness changes everything.
What was supposed to be just one unforgettable night quickly turns into something far more complicated when two pink lines appear. Suddenly, living together becomes the most practical solution, forcing them into close quarters while navigating a future neither of them expected.
But the Oliver she begins to see isn’t the reckless playboy she assumed he was. He’s attentive, protective, and far more invested than she ever imagined. As the walls between them start to crumble, the line between mistake and destiny becomes harder to ignore.
Their chemistry is undeniable from the start. The banter, tension, and emotional vulnerability between them make every interaction feel meaningful, creating the sense that these two hearts were always meant to find their way back to each other.
The spice level stays balanced throughout the story present enough to bring heat, but never overshadowing the emotional development between the characters.
🎧 Narration
Performed in dual narration by Jason Clarke and Mollie Stark, who both deliver excellent performances.
Jason Clarke brings Oliver’s charm and emotional depth to life, capturing both his playful side and the genuine devotion growing beneath the surface. Mollie Stark gives the heroine a strong, grounded presence that makes her emotional journey feel authentic and relatable.
Their voices complement each other perfectly, making the banter sharper and the emotional moments land even harder.
What I Liked
✔️ Strong chemistry and banter between the leads ✔️ A hero who falls first and fully commits ✔️ Surprise pregnancy with real emotional stakes ✔️ Forced proximity that builds intimacy ✔️ Teases for future characters in the series
One thing Jennifer Sucevic does particularly well is planting seeds for future stories. The glimpses we get of other characters throughout the book are incredibly tempting. The small snippets hinting at Evelyn and Hugh’s story especially caught my attention I am already desperate to see where that storyline goes.
Those bonus chapters were also fantastic and only made me more excited for what’s coming next in the series.
Tropes & Vibes
✔️ Pro Hockey Romance ✔️ Enemies-to-Lovers Energy ✔️ One-Night Stand ✔️ Surprise Pregnancy ✔️ Forced Proximity ✔️ Workplace Tension ✔️ Hero Falls First
Final Thoughts
Show Me Forever is a sweet, emotional hockey romance with strong chemistry and a hero who proves that sometimes the biggest surprises lead to the best outcomes.
While the story leans more toward emotional development than high drama, it delivers a satisfying romance that balances humor, heart, and just enough heat.
And if the hints for upcoming stories are anything to go by, the Chicago Railers series still has plenty of drama and romance left to explore. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for the next book especially if Evelyn and Hugh finally get their moment.
Show Me Forever Jennifer Sucevic ARC COPY Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3 of 5) Spice: 🌶️🌶️
I always enjoy Jennifer Sucevic’s college romances, and Show Me Forever was another solid addition to the Chicago Railers. If you’re into fluffy sports romances with lots of spice, this is definitely the book for you.
The story follows Oliver “The Big O” and Rina, who have both been carrying more emotional baggage than they let on. Their relationship actually starts years before the book begins, when Rina starts working as the public relations specialist for the team and has to constantly deal with Oliver and his many shenanigans. There has always been undeniable chemistry between them, and chapter one begins with them finally letting go of their restraint and exploring the attraction they’ve been fighting for years. They repeatedly find themselves falling back into bed together, but Rina struggles to trust that what she and Oliver have could ever lead to something beyond the bedroom. While she keeps her guard up, Oliver is determined to break through her fears and prove that what they share is real and worth fighting for. Obstacles appear along the way in the form of work complications and a BIG surprise. The real question becomes: will Rina look past the challenges and take a chance on Oliver, or will she let her fears dictate the future of their relationship?
What I loved:
- Oliver has always been one of my favorite players since meeting him in the first book, so I already knew his story would end up being one of my favorites in the series. - Evelyn and Hugh <3 I’m tired of the little snippets! Their tension and unresolved history have me completely invested, and I just want their book already. There’s clearly so much left unsaid between them and so much angst building up. Please, Jennifer, put them (and us) out of our misery and give us the BOOK -Oliver's patience. He doesn’t push the Rina before she’s ready, we love a golden retriever hero.
What Could Have Been Better:
- There was a lot of sex in this book, some might even argue too much. At times, it felt like Oliver and Rina jumped from arguing straight into bed without much meaningful conversation in between. Because of that, it was a little harder to form a strong emotional connection with them as a couple. Don’t get me wrong, we all love some spice in a romance, but it sometimes felt like that was the main thing holding their relationship together instead of deeper dialogue and emotional moments.
- I also wish we had gotten a little more insight into Oliver’s internal thoughts earlier in the story to balance the emotional perspective. As I mentioned, it often felt like Oliver was carrying most of the weight in the relationship because Rina wasn’t ready. After a while, it became exhausting to constantly see Oliver trying again and again, only for Rina to pull back or disappoint him.
Overall, Show Me Forever is a solid, quick read that you can easily finish in a few hours. If you have about three hours to spare and want something fun, spicy, and set in the college sports world, this book will definitely scratch that itch. However, if you’re looking for a romance with a lot more emotional depth and character development, this one might be worth skipping.

Show Me Forever by Jennifer Sucevic is the third book in the Chicago Railers Hockey series and delivers a steamy, emotional hockey romance filled with tension, unexpected vulnerability and a hero who falls completely and without hesitation.
Oliver Van Doren has always come across as the charming but chaotic star forward for the Chicago Railers. From the outside he seems reckless, impulsive and far too comfortable creating situations that someone else inevitably must clean up. Rina believes she has him figured out and keeps him firmly in the category of trouble she should avoid. Their dynamic is sharp and teasing, full of tension that both pretend not to notice even though the attraction between them is obvious.
That careful balance shatters after one moment of weakness turns into a night neither of them can forget. What begins as something they try to brush off quickly spirals into something far more complicated when two pink lines change everything. Suddenly they are thrown together in a way neither of them expected, and the forced proximity only intensifies the connection they have both been trying to ignore.
One of the most enjoyable parts of this story is watching Oliver slowly reveal that he is far more than the reckless hockey star everyone assumes him to be. Beneath the charm and cocky exterior is a man who is patient, attentive and surprisingly thoughtful. His steady presence and the way he steps up when it matters most adds depth to his character and makes his growing feelings feel sincere and earned. His devotion builds quietly but powerfully, and it becomes clear very early that he is completely invested.
The relationship develops through banter, tension, and emotional moments that highlight how both characters are forced to confront their fears about love, commitment, and the future. The surprise pregnancy trope is handled with a focus on growth and partnership rather than drama alone, allowing the romance to feel both heartfelt and hopeful.
The chemistry between the characters is strong throughout the story, and their connection moves from reluctant attraction to something much deeper. Watching them navigate their new reality while slowly lowering their emotional walls adds a satisfying layer of vulnerability to romance.
Show Me Forever is a swoony, emotional hockey romance that blends humor, heat, and heartfelt moments. With a hero who falls first and proves it through his actions and a romance that grows from unexpected beginnings, this story delivers a satisfying mix of tension, tenderness and the promise of something lasting.
I absolutely devoured **Show Me Forever by Jennifer Sucevic and I’m still sitting here with the biggest book hangover. This book had me hooked from the first chapter and I honestly didn’t want it to end.
Oliver Van Doren… where do I even start? This man had me gone. At first he seems like the typical cocky hockey star, all charm and trouble with a grin that probably causes heart palpitations across Chicago. But the more you see of him, the more layers come out and suddenly you’re realizing he’s not just the fun, chaotic Railers forward… he’s patient, protective, completely devoted, and so ridiculously all-in for Rina that it melted me into a puddle.
And Rina! I loved her. She’s strong, stubborn, trying so hard to keep things professional and not fall into Oliver’s orbit even though the chemistry between them is basically a five-alarm fire 🔥 Every scene between them crackles. The tension, the banter, the frustration, the pull they have toward each other… it’s addictive.
Then that one night happens and suddenly BOOM… two pink lines and everything changes. I loved the forced proximity and watching Oliver step up. He doesn’t hesitate. He’s just there. Showing up. Taking care of her. Being supportive in ways that completely shattered the image she had of him. Watching him fall harder and harder while Rina slowly realizes he might actually be everything she’s been afraid to want? Absolute swoon territory.
Oliver being all in from the start was EVERYTHING. No games, no running away, just a man who decided Rina was it for him and then proved it over and over again. I was rooting so hard for them the entire time.
This book had steam, heart, laugh-out-loud moments, and that addictive hockey team family vibe that makes the Chicago Railers series so much fun. Every time the team showed up it felt like chaos in the best possible way.
Enemies-to-lovers tension ✔️ One night stand ✔️ Surprise pregnancy ✔️ Hero completely obsessed with the heroine ✔️
Basically my romance kryptonite.
I flew through this book and loved every second. Oliver and Rina completely stole my heart and now I’m counting the seconds until the next Railers book because I am NOT ready to leave this world yet. 🏒💙📚
I don't know how she does it, but Jennifer just smashes it out the park every single time.
Show Me Forever is book three of the Chicago Railers series and gives us Rina and Oliver's story. And let me tell you it's great!
We've seen these two in the previous books as side characters, and tension between them has always been simmering just below the surface. Jennifer treats us in Show Me Forever by giving us them full force, and I'm here for it.
Rina is the Team's PR who tries (and obviously fails) to keep her distance from Van Doren in personal manner. She attempts to keep him at a distance, but the surprise pregnancy puts her even more firmly in his sights. Rina doesn't want to feel indebted to anyone, and the last thing she wants is to be left without a home, an income and means to provide for her baby. She'd rather do it all alone, be self sufficient without anyones help, then be left like her Mum was.
Oliver has wanted Rina for years, so when he finally gets his chance he's all in. However the walls she's built stop him from getting too close, much to his dismay. So he wants is the opportunity to show her that his love isn't conditional or fleeting. He wants to show her forever, and then some. He's a player with a reputation, but when it comes to those closest to him he's loyal and supportive. Getting to see the small interactions between him and siblings was lovely.
The chemistry between Ollie and Rina is smoking. From their start their sexual chemistry is there and undeniable. You get to see their emotional and mental relationship develop over the story progression, and watching Rina fall for Oliver is sweet.

Oliver has always been the "mess" that Rina has to clean up professionally. But after a one-night stand turns into a secret relationship, the stakes get much higher. When a surprise pregnancy shocks them both, they have to figure out how to navigate their growing feelings and their careers without everything blowing up in their faces.
I really enjoyed this book! It served as the perfect palate cleanser for me in between my usual dark and pitch-black romance reads. It’s light, sweet, and hit all the right spots.
Rina is a headstrong, stubborn woman who clings to her independence for dear life. She’s convinced she doesn't need a man, but Oliver is relentless. I loved watching her determination waver as he kept showing her that leaning on someone else isn't a sign of weakness. And Oliver? He is such a good man! He shows up for her over and over again without a single complaint, constantly proving his devotion. Honestly, I’m a little envious of Rina cause everyone deserves an Oliver!
My only slight gripe was that Rina’s internal struggle felt a bit suffocating at times. She held onto her mother's lessons about independence so tightly that it felt like she was denying her feelings long after Oliver had proven he was in it for the long haul. I would have loved either a bit more groveling or a smoother transition into her accepting the relationship.
Moreover, I wished there was more explanation on how they handled the PR for their relationship going forward. Given their roles, I was curious to see the professional fallout or strategy, so it felt a little glanced over.
But despite that, it was a great read. A man pining over a woman is a cliché for a reason, because it works every single time! It was exactly the sweet, pining romance I needed.
Thank you to VPR and Jennifer Sucevic for this ARC.
Jennifer Sucevic has truly outdone herself with Show Me Forever, the third installment in the Chicago Railers series. This story is an absolute masterclass in the "he falls first and harder" trope, featuring an MMC, Oliver Van Doren, who is so deliciously obsessed with Rina that I found myself reaching for a fan.
Oliver is the star forward for the Railers—a man with the charm of a devil and a talent for PR disasters—while Rina is the team’s brilliant PR queen tasked with cleaning up his messes. Their professional boundaries dissolve in a night of combustible tension, leading to a surprise pregnancy that changes everything.
The audiobook narration by Jason Clarke and Mollie Stark adds incredible depth to this journey, capturing every ounce of Oliver’s protective, bossy, and fiercely devoted nature. What makes this story so special is that Oliver’s "bossiness" isn't about control; it’s rooted in a deep-seated need to take care of Rina and provide her with everything she didn’t even know she needed.
Watching him step up the moment he learns he’s going to be a father is heart-melting, especially as he patiently breaks down the walls Rina has built around her heart. The writing in this book is nothing short of pure poetry. Having read every single one of Jennifer’s books, I can confidently say the prose here reached a new level of magic.
I found myself writing down line after line, completely in awe of how she crafted the emotional beats of this romance. It is a vivid, dynamic, and soulful story that demands you slow down just to soak in the beauty of the words.
While this can be read as a standalone, the way the author interweaves the broader Chicago Railers world makes the experience so much richer. The glimpses of the rest of the team and the teasing of the next story—the grumpy goalie’s book—already have me going feral with anticipation.
Between the forced proximity, the steamy tension, and the "boy-obsessed" devotion, Show Me Forever is an undeniable five-star read that leaves you living in a beautiful romantic afterglow.
Disclaimer: I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I devoured this book in less than 24 hours—I literally couldn’t put it down. From the very first chapters I was completely hooked, and by the end I was obsessed.
Olive “Big O” Van Doren completely stole my heart. The way he falls hard and fast for Rina had me melting. His devotion, the yearning, the way he’s constantly trying to make her truly see him and believe in what they could have… it was everything. He’s sweet, protective, and so unapologetically obsessed with her, and I was absolutely here for it.
Rina is a strong and independent FMC who has grown up believing she doesn’t need a man. Because of what her mother taught her, she sees love as something painful and temporary—something that always ends with people leaving. Watching her struggle with those beliefs while Olive slowly breaks down her walls was emotional and beautiful. And honestly… after that scene, I was really not a fan of her mom. I was so mad on Rina’s behalf. 😡
The chemistry between these two is completely off the charts. Their tension, banter, and emotional connection made every interaction feel intense and meaningful. They truly feel like two hearts that were always meant to find each other.
The spice level was perfect—just the right amount to add heat without overshadowing the emotional build-up.
And can we talk about those snippets for the upcoming books? Because I am desperate for Evelyn and Hugh’s story. The tiny glimpses we got from their perspectives were delicious, and they’ve already completely captured my interest. I really hope they get their own book because the potential there is incredible.
Overall, this was addictive, emotional, romantic, and so much fun to read. I loved every minute of it and already can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Thank you to Valentine PR and Jennifer Sucevic for the opportunity to read this ARC!
Whenever I start a book by Jennifer Sucevic I always think to myself that there is no way she can make me love the MMC I’m about to meet more than the last MMC she introduced me to. And she proves me wrong every single time. Oliver Van Doren is not new to me actually. I met him a long time ago because he is the brother to one of her other MMCs in her Western Wildcats series. But this is a grown up Oliver. An unselfish, mature, loving Oliver. He’s a star hockey player on the Chicago Railers. The FMC is Rina, the Chicago Railers PR person who has had to clean up a few of Oliver’s PR “messes”. She’s been taught by her mother that men can’t be trusted because they will leave. To never fall into the trap of falling in love. When she gives in to the underlying attraction that has always been there between her and Oliver, one night turns into months worth of nights. She thinks he’s just a bad decision she keeps making. He KNOWS she’s his forever. She’s always got one foot out of the door, he’s always pulling her back and slamming it shut. When she ends up pregnant she thinks she’s ruined both of their lives. He finally has the chance to show her that they are meant to be. I loved how Oliver was determined to be a presence in Rina’s life. To show her that not all men leave. To show her that she didn’t have to do everything for herself if she would just allow someone to be there. I also loved that Rina would give in. Against her “better” judgment she kept bending the rules she had put in place for herself to allow Oliver to be the man her promised her he could be. So many times I read an FMC who is such a self determined strong woman that she pushes everyone away to the point that she becomes annoying. Rina almost crosses into the annoying territory but stops just before she gets there. And therein lies the magic of Jennifer Sucevic’s writing for me. Her ability to allow her characters to bend when needed and recognize their flaws and try harder. And then she edges you towards a third act break up that you know you are going to hate but instead she allows you to fall into the bliss of an HEA. I will sign up for that fall every single time.
Once again, let’s start this with I received this as an arc. I am on Jennifer’s team and one of the perks is being able to get the book early and you can also do that on her website directly. It’s a little information for you.
One thing I love about Jennifer Sucevic’s stories is that while they can be read as standalones, reading them in order really lets you experience the entire family—especially in the Chicago Railers world. And if you haven’t picked up the Western Wildcats series yet, I promise these books will make you want to immediately.
Let’s start with Rina. She’s the team’s resident PR queen and she is damn good at her job. Oliver, on the other hand… well, for lack of a better phrase, he’s a complete PR nightmare. Since Rina started working with him, though, there have been a few moments between them that are definitely less than professional.
Then things take a turn when Rina ends up pregnant (don’t worry—that’s not a spoiler). This is an accidental pregnancy trope, but what really makes the story shine is Oliver’s reaction. The second he finds out he’s going to be a dad, the little things he does for Rina show just how much he wants to step up and be there.
Rina, however, is much more closed off. She’s always been driven to succeed and prove herself, and even though she’s incredibly successful, she still feels like she’s not doing enough. Watching Oliver slowly break through those walls was honestly one of my favorite parts of the book.
This story was absolutely perfect. It also sets up the next book, and honestly I’m going to lose my mind waiting for the Evelyn and Hugh saga to continue because every single book leaves me wanting more.
If there’s one thing Jennifer does exceptionally well, it’s interweaving stories and characters across her series. She’s truly top-notch at it.
As with all Jennifer Sucevic books, this was another five star read for me, and honestly… you’ll never change my mind.
Oh my god, I ate this book!! I literally started reading and then the world stopped and faded because all I could do was keep reading and I regret nothing 🙂↔️💖
I was so invested in Oliver and Rina’s story because that man? That man was OBSESSED with her and it was pure perfection 😩🛐 he’s known for being this careless, golden boy hockey player that doesn’t do relationships, but the truth is that is just the truth he chose to project to the rest of the world when in private he’s the kindest, sweetest, most protective person in the whole world and I love him so much 😭💖💖💖💖 the moment he held Rina for the first time was the moment he knew he would do anything and everything to prove to her that his feelings for her are true and real, and oh my god, he just showed up for her every single time even when she tried to push him away, he just wouldn’t let her and that doesn’t felt like a bad thing, because he knew he got trouble with trusting people and even more when it was love involved, so he was there waiting for her patiently… ish 😅 tans giving her time to trust in him and the moment he knew she was pregnant with his baby!!!!! Oh my god, I just was falling and falling for Oliver with every page I read✨
And Rina, my girl, I love her, she was so afraid for let herself tris Oliver and I understood her reasons because those were real and valid, and of course her job was at risk too, so she got a lot to lose, thank goodness Oliver managed to win her trust because the moment she realized it was safe to live and being loved by him, there was no turning back, and I was so happy for them 😭💖 and I need more!!
And speaking of more, can I please have the next book already?! 😩I mean? The potential tropes in the next book are my absolute favorite tropes of all time and I literally can’t wait to dig in that story because I have the feeling it would be my absolute favorite 😮💨✨
And ahem, can I have Hugh and Evelyn’s story too please? 🙂↔️🙈
I loved the opening scene, it was hot, fun, kind of romantic and just the perfect start to Rina and Olivers story!
Oliver is a man obsessed and I love it. He’s cocky and determined which can be a lot at times, but he’s really just a big softy when it comes to the people he loves. It was fun to see him in many roles such as brother, teammate, friend, baby daddy and more.
Rina’s view on men and relationships has been shaped by her past with her father and her mom’s influence and it’s not a good one. I was eager to see how Oliver would potentially break down the walls she’s built because of that. My hope was that Rina would learn to trust herself and choose what she truly wants rather than hold herself back.
There is also SO much spice in this one!! Holy cow…
That said, parts of the story felt repetitive. Oliver often ends his POV chapters with the same sentiment, “this isn’t the end, it’s only the beginning” and Rina has similar repeated thoughts at the end of her chapters. It made their progress feel a little stalled rather than naturally developing. I noticed a similar pattern in the first two books as well, so it may just be part of Jennifer’s writing style. It doesn’t take away from the book at all.
One thing Jennifer Suvevic does really well is writing possessive, completely smitten MMCs. Her books are perfect when you want a romantically dramatic escape that’s hard to put down once you start.
I also loved getting little glimpses of Evelyn and Hugh’s story, and the hints at what’s coming next definitely have me excited for the next book. I’ll be counting down to June!!
Book 3 in the Chicago Railers Hockey universe - and I enjoyed all the cameos from the other players, along with the ongoing drama between the co-owners/managers of the team. There’s hardly any hockey in this one, so if you want on-ice action, some of Jennifer's other series have more.
Hockey player Oliver is gone for Rina, the team PR manager. They fall into bed and spend the next couple of months sneaking around. Rina is conflicted, not only because her mother has hammered the idea that men can’t be depended on, but also because there’s a strict no-fraternization policy with the team.
Show Me Forever is tricky from the start. It’s wish-fulfilment for certain, and the chemistry between Oliver and Rina is insane. However. What Oliver is doing is essentially workplace harassment. He knows that if they are discovered together she will lose her job and he won’t. She is only on the PR team while he’s a gifted player with a big salary so their affair has much higher stakes for Rina. They are horny twenty-somethings but I just couldn’t shake the feeling that Oliver is not listening to her. He is telling himself what she wants, and knows that she can’t say no to him, which gave me the ick.
In Romancelandia this isn't a problem, and a surprise pregnancy changes everything, not just because it gives Oliver the chance to step up and show Rina he is all in. It's all very steamy, low angst and they have a delightful dynamic.
I've enjoyed all of Jennifer's books and I'll keep reading them, but this is a miss for me.
Thank you Jennifer Sucevic and Valentine PR for the ARC. Opinions are my own.
I love the Railers hockey world and was so excited to dive in and get more of these characters. And ohhh did we dive in! The spice hit hard and fast in this one with Oliver and Rina's secret forbidden relationship.
Oliver is absolutely obsessed and I loved that for him! His insta-love was exactly what Rina needed to feel safe. These two had all kinds of physical chemistry, but what I enjoyed most was when the forced proximity kicked in and they started to break through Rina's walls and grow their emotional relationship. I really wish there had been more of that- these two definitely fall back on their physical relationship when issues arise. Overall, this was a fun one but missing a little something for me.
There was some teasing of the next book in the series though and I cannot wait for that one!

🎧 𝗡𝗼𝘄 𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼... Mollie Stark and Jason Clarke were such a treat to listen to. I love both of their voices so much and I feel like they both really brought Ollie and Rina to life. The narration was in duet and flowed perfectly. I'm so glad that I listened to this one in audiobook format.
Spice Rating 🤍 clean romance 💗 closed door/ fade to black ❤️ spicy content (a few detailed scenes) ❤️🔥 explicit, play-by-play (major part of the plot) 🖤 graphic, more than vanilla
This one is such a classic trope combo and honestly, I loved it.
You’ve got the bad boy on the team falling for the PR strategist, and it just works. I’m always a sucker for that dynamic, and this book delivered exactly what I wanted from it.
One of my favorite parts of the story was the family dynamic. I love interconnected families in romance series because it makes the world feel so much bigger and more real. Seeing everyone show up for each other adds so much warmth to the story.
And of course… we love a green-flag man.
When the FMC tells him she’s pregnant and he doesn’t run or hesitate? He just shows up. That’s the kind of energy I want in romance. What I appreciated even more is that he didn’t just say the right things — he proved it through actions and the little moments. Those small gestures are what really make a character feel genuine.
I also really liked seeing the FMC slowly let her guard down. Watching her realize she doesn’t have to do everything alone was such a satisfying emotional arc.
Another thing I appreciated was the representation throughout the story. It added depth to the characters and made the world feel more inclusive and thoughtful.
And when you see these tough sports guys turn into absolute golden retrievers around their family? Yeah… we love that.
This felt like a really solid installment in the series, and it also seems like it might be setting up something fun for the future or possibly a next-gen situation or maybe even a grumpy goalie story, which I would absolutely read.
Overall this was a very cute, feel-good romance and a solid four-star read for me.
Show Me Forever is the 3rd book in the Chicago Railers Hockey by Jennifer Sucevic. Following our FMC Rina Reynolds the team’s pr manager and our MMC Oliver Van Doren the railers star forward. After a night out and a moment of weakness, what was supposed to be a one night stand turned into more, a secret work relationship, until two pink lines change everything.
This was such an enjoyable read but i came into this with such high hopes and it let me down abit. i loved all the tropes but sadly this fell very flat. I loved Oliver and his possessiveness SO much and how obsessed he was with Rina except, the first half of the book dragged on and felt very repetitive. One of my favourite moments was when Rina break down those high boy extremely high walls, the spice was piping hot, the TENSION was so sharp and what i love most about this entire series, is the friendship everyone has with eachother?!? Oh and oliver’s sister Kia? IMMEDIATELY loved her. The bonus epilouges at the end from Evelyn and Hugh’s POV? At this point Jen is edging us with their story and i am so here for it. Overall it was an enjoyable read with fun characters and so much tension!!
The audiobook narrated in duet by Jason Clarke and Mollie Stark brought the story to life, with Jason Clarke narrating Oliver he really brought out the goofiness of our golden retriever MMC, i absolutely love jason clarke and he did a brilliant job with Oliver. Mollie Stark is a new narrator for me and i think she did a beautiful job of bringing our black cat to life!! Beautiful narration from both narrators
Show Me Forever is book 3 in the Chicago Railers series and follows Oliver who is a professional Hockey Player for the Railers and Rina who is the teams PR manager!
The spice hits hard and fast in this one and the physical chemistry is off the charts between Oliver and Rina! These two have been circling each other knowing that any sort of relationship is off limits but after one night together Oliver isn't ready to let her go. Rina has a lot of trust issues and isn't as certain about her feelings with Oliver, that is until she sees two pink lines show up on a pregnancy test. Oliver proves and shows Rina over and over again that her and their baby are his number one priority. He was sweet and thoughtful and I loved his communication skills! He was open and honest about where he stood and what he wanted. It did take Rina longer to get there but I loved the ending and how it all came together! Also I LIVE for these Evelyn and Hough chapters at the end of each book and the set up for book 4 has me so excited!
AUDIO: This was narrated in duet by Mollie Stark and Jason Clarke and these two elevated this story big time!! Their voices blended perfectly and I enjoyed how they portrayed these characters! They brought the spice and longing and I really enjoyed listening to this one!

“It’s been you all along. It just took time for you to believe it too.”
OMG, Oliver Van Doren has officially claimed a spot as one of the swooniest heroes ever. I am absolutely smitten after finishing Show Me Forever. This story is deliciously steamy, achingly tender, and packed with the kind of angst that hits you right in the chest—mostly because Rina is so terrified of letting herself love fully. I adored these two more than I expected, especially since accidental pregnancy isn’t usually my favorite trope, but here it’s handled with such care, depth, and authenticity that it completely won me over.
“She’s the only thing that’s ever quieted the noise in my head.”
Rina is a force—strong, fiercely independent, and determined never to rely on a man for anything. She’s convinced she hates Oliver, but the chemistry between them sparks from the very first moment and refuses to be ignored. Oliver, meanwhile, knows exactly what he wants the second he sees her. Once they share that first night, his heart is set, and he becomes a man on a mission: to prove to Rina that his feelings are real, that he’s steady, and that he’s someone she can trust with her whole heart.
“This woman feels like home. More than that, she feels like forever.”
Watching Oliver gently, persistently show Rina that vulnerability isn’t weakness—and watching her slowly let down her walls—was pure magic. Their connection is electric, emotional, and deeply satisfying. Show Me Forever has easily become one of my absolute favorites in the series.
