What a pleasant surprise this book was. If you're looking at the blurb and thinking this is yet another fluffy book about bad boy meets straitlaced good girl, think again. This story and the characters had so much more depth to them than the cover and blurb leads you to believe. Having loved all of Gina's Brazen titles, I didn't think twice before deciding to read this book and what a great decision that was!
Everly Parker is the quintessential good girl. She's as straitlaced as they come. Having grown up in the shadow of her parent's success and constant pushing for perfection, she doesn't know how to be any different. She's pre-law and on her way to follow in her parent's successful law footsteps. But deep down inside, in a part of her that she rarely listens to, something niggles her. Something that points to unhappiness and to question if law is what she really wants and what makes her happy. Having lost her nan, who was the only lively spirit in her family, she's a little lost now. Especially since her nan left her one final letter before her passing; a letter that lists all the things that Everly should do. Something that would take her out of her comfort zone and perhaps leads her to the happiness that she truly craves.
Max Levin is the prince to a porn empire. But don't let that description fool you. While he has the sizzling good looks, the charming personality, and enough money to keep him in designer clothes for years to come, there's much more to his character. Max is the son to porn royalty. His mother was a famous porn star while behind the scenes she was an amazing mother, friend and wife. I loved the way that she was portrayed. There was nothing wrong with her and she was never ashamed of who she was. His father is the famous producer of one of the most successful porn production companies and Max stands to inherit it all. But while something like this should be every hot blooded man's wet dream, Max isn't fulfilled by it. He longs for something...more. And when he meets the beautiful but straitlaced Everly in a coffee shop while interviewing "talent" for his company's next movie, he knows just what that something is. And when he spots Everly's list, he knows just how to get it. He volunteers to help her complete it, starting with number 1, going out on a date with him, someone who she wouldn't normally give the time of day to.
This was so much more about the sex, though. Max and Everly certainly don't fall into bed together right away or even soon. Gina builds up enough sexual tension to really make it burn, and I for one, loved it. You really get to know both the characters before the sex enters the picture. You get to care for them, understand them and what makes them tick. That's not to say that these two don't burn up the sheets together once they finally get together.
It was absolutely fantastic.
This was so different from anything I've read by this author before, and I loved it. I enjoyed everything about it; the story, the secondary characters, the romance. While it wasn't that unforgettable all encompassing 5 star read, it was the perfect light and steamy and solid 4 star one. I really hope to see a book for Ben next because that set up was absolutely delicious.
If you're looking for a NA romance that's full of heat but never lacking on story, you need to check this one out!

This one turned out to be so much better than I had expected. Gina Gordon surprised me in such a good way and I’m so looking forward to read more of her books. 'Rush' was everything the blurb “says” it is – sweet, sexy and fun, but it also was more than that. To be honest, for some reason I’ve expected this book to be lighter, but it has some interesting angst and drama that didn’t bore me to death or made me roll my eyes.
Everly Parker is fallowing under her parent’s footsteps and she will soon become a lawyer. At least that’s the plan, more her parents plan, since Everly has moments when she wonders if becoming a lawyer is what she really wants. Ever since she was a child Everly wanted to be loved and accepted by her parents, wanting to please them, so she prepared herself all her life, studying hard and later working harder to get into law school. She started wondering what she really wants only recently after her grandmother death, a free-spirited woman who only wanted for Everly to do only what makes her happy. To help her getting out of her comfort zone, her grandma left her a list with some thinks she should do, a list she has to complete in only a couple of weeks before she finishes the law school.
Max Levine is the heir and Vice President of White Lace Productions, the biggest producer of adult films in the country. Growing up with an adult film producer for a father and a famous porn star for a mother, Max knows everything there is to know about this industry. He’s good at his job and of course he enjoys everything that comes with it, but he feels working in this industry is not really for him, because if he’s honest with himself, he wants more.
When Max meets Everly he is mesmerized by her innocence and by her sweetness. Finding out about her list, he is willing to help her complete it, but as the times passes and they start spending more and more time together, both Max and Everly fall slowly, but surly for each other. But how can they survive together when they are from two different worlds and when they are so different from each other?
I really liked this one. Gina Gordon delivered a very enjoyable read that will capture your attention from the very beginning. I liked both Every and Max individually and together. Both of them were well portrayed and both of them had so much depth than the blurb imply, which I loved, this aspect of the story being one of my fav aspects here. Max and Everly were portrayed as opposites, but at the same time they were very similar. I liked very much the way they helped each other realize who they are and what they really want. They were good for each other and the author did a remarkably job showing that sometimes someone’s background is not the most important aspect in life. Max and Everly’s relationship development was fantastically done. They started a tentative friendship that became so much more for both of them and I liked how the author did that. There was no insta-lust or insta-love between them which I appreciated and their relationship felt more real this way.
I loved the sexual tension between them, their connection and of course their sexy times. They were perfect for each other in and out of bed, despite the fact Everly though that she’s not good enough for a man who works in the porn industry. In my opinion Everly’s fears were believable and surprisingly I didn’t find her character to be annoying or repetitive when it came to this aspect of the story. She was very likeable and maybe also relatable in some way. She was smart, classy and genuinely a good young woman, sweet, tender and so thoughtful at times. Our hero, Max was more than an arrogant, “too good-looking for his own good” guy and he proved it more times than I can count. My favorite aspect about him was for sure the way he made Everly feel. He gave her more than a few mind-blowing orgasms, he gave her comfort and confidence, adventure and passion and last but not least, love.
The secondary characters were as vividly portrayed as the main ones. And that’s why I’m really looking forward to read their stories in the upcoming books in the series.
Overall, a fantastic opposites attract love story!

4 Sexy Stars.
When Max and Everly met, their lives couldn’t be more different. He is the hair to one of biggest porn movies companies in the world. She is a simple girl finishing law school. Neither of them is in the place they want at life, but neither of them is also brave enough to change it.
Everly has a bucket list that her grandmother left her before she died and she’s decided to make it. Max decides to help her… but what they didn’t know was that list was going to change them both.
This was a really pleasant surprise. I was a little hesitant when I found out that Max was in the porn business because I was afraid he ended up being a manwhore asshole and the book was filled with useless “other women” drama. Not only he was a great hero, but the author created an original, steamy and romantic book without having to create stupid drama to keep us entertained. The couple’s story was entertaining enough itself.
There was some minor annoyances in the plot for me, and I know in fiction we sometimes have to overlook reality… but still.
Overall, if you want a light, steamy and engaging romance story, this book is a good choice.

I liked Ben, I’m really curious about his book.

I’ll admit, after reading the blurb, I did rush to a few judgements about this one. Our hero Max Levin is Vice President at White Lace Productions, the biggest producer of adult films in the country. He is is due to take over the helm of the business from his father and has access to all the money and girls a young twenty something year old man could wish for.
Frankly I was expecting Max to have a whiff of “Eau de Douche” about him but was pleasantly surprised by how my preconceptions were quashed.
Someone else who had the same unfounded judgements as myself was our heroine, Everly Parker. Rather than preconceptions, Everly’s troubles are managing her parents expectations of her. Life seems to be passing Everly by but armed with a list she is left by her late grandmother she aims to change that.
After a chance meeting filled with instant attraction, Max takes it upon himself to help Everly accomplish her list. It took me a little longer to get into the story than I would have liked but once I did, I enjoyed direction it took. Max was the stand out character for me and once Everly warmed up to him the steam factor increased also, which lets face it is never a bad thing.
The premise of the list and lessons learned could be deemed as rather cliché but it was such fun that by the end I was fully paid up passenger on the happy ending express.

What made me pick up this book? Well, look at that synopsis. How could you not be intrigued? A book where the hero has ties to the porn industry is not your average read. I was really interested to see how the author would handle this subject matter.
Max comes from a legacy of pornography.
His mother: Porn star.
His father: Owner of White Lace Productions
His parents had one of the most unconventional relationships you can imagine. They met through his production company, married, and she continued to happily work in the industry for years. Sex was not something to be ashamed of or embarrassed by, it was...just sex. Is it any wonder that Max would be expected to follow in his father's footsteps and not only take over the company when it was time, but take part in filming scenes if that was what his heart desired? Laid-back doesn't even cover these two's parenting style. Their "Accomplishment room"? That is just bizarre and so outlandish you have to laugh.
When Max and Everly meet, they're both immediately attracted, but they both know they're too different to do anything about it.
She had a plan and worked hard to achieve it. I, on the other hand, had been handed everything with a gold-plated dildo.
Then he sees her bucket list on the table given to her by her grandmother who recently passed away. It's a list encouraging her to loosen up, enjoy life, and experience new and exciting things. For too long, she's been suppressed by her parents' cold expectations and push to become a lawyer like them. But Max is determined to show her a side of life she's been avoiding all of these years. It will be a purely platonic gesture-too bad his recent lack of interest in sex ended the minute he set eyes on her. His little head has other plans.
I've seen thousands of women naked. I've had more than my fair share of them in my bed, but never anyone like Everly Parker. The decision to keep my dick in check for once wasn't going to be an easy feat.
Everly is struggling just as much. She knows he's not boyfriend material, or even Mr. Right Now material. He's arrogant, too sexy for his own good, and experienced where she's not. He's everything she needs to be staying away from.
What she didn't expect was to find out that he's also sweet and feeling just as lost as she is. How could she ever hope to hold a man like that? But her traitorous body isn't giving up easily. It isn't long before he's all she can think about, fantasize about, and wish that she could be enough for a man like him.
Being with Everly was refreshing in a way that he never thought he could experience. She sees through his surface bull-shit to the man who's been wanting to be more than the superficial porn prince with a trust fund. He wants to make his own way, to earn a good and clean life filled with respect from others and for himself. She was opening his eyes to all the possibilities that he could have, if he would just reach for it. If she could see beneath the porn, does that mean that he could be more?
I was not disappointed in the steam department. These two were completely combustible and had some very satisfying dirty times.
Everything about her was so modest, so unassuming and innocent. It never failed to suck me in, to take me to a place where I wanted to rip apart that sweetness and carry her over to the dark side with me. And right now I was feeling pretty dark.
Max's experience in every side of the sexual spectrum helped her let go of her inhibitions and fears. And she brought a whole new experience to sex that brought his pleasure to towering heights: emotion.
This story had more depth than the good girl-bad boy-let's teach you how to loosen up trope. I was happily surprised at what was underneath the in-your-face lust and exploration. It was about two people from very opposite backgrounds who bonded through an understanding of similar feelings of inadequacy and hopelessness. They were like a mirror to each other's lives and help one another realize the true important things in life. Pursuing your true passion and finding happiness. I really enjoyed this overall. It was passionate, surprisingly sweet, and a refreshingly unconventional story. If you're looking for something different than the norm, this one could be for you.

She may appear to be boring and conservative on the outside, but personality wise, she wasn't so much, especially with Max's help. Apart from studying like crazy now that her studies are about to end soon, she has gotten a bucket list that her grandmother left her before she passed away. Everly is having trouble completing that list, but the sexy Max is more than willing to help her tick things off. The more time they spend together, the more free and confident she becomes. As for Max, the time with her helps him accept himself as a good man. A man deserving of love.

This book was the first I have ever read from this author, so I had no idea what to expect. I am glad to say that I really enjoyed it. It was smoking hot, as I was hoping it would be, with a character from the porn industry. I loved watching Max and Everly get closer with each item they marked off the list. I loved seeing Everly come out of her shell, how learned how to have fun and just enjoy life. I loved how accepting she was of Max and that she saw the person behind the carefree arrogant facade he carried. Max was freaking awesome as well. I was worried for a moment that I wouldn't like him, be he was so sweet, confident, and hot. I just loved him! The story line was very interesting, and I appreciated that this wasn't a book full of just sex. There was more to the characters than that just that. I even really liked the secondary characters. Overall, it was a great read. If you are looking for a steamy read that has an actual story, than this is perfect for you.

Well I didn't except such a story when I requested to review Rush!
I won't lie the first thing that caught my eyes was the cover. You can't deny those abs are beautiful
After that, I had to check the blurb and I was sold. I always had a soft spot when a book talks about escort or happening in the porn industry. I'm always curious to see how an author can bring a character alive in a so special environment and still stay true to what it represents.
I've never read a book by Gina Gordon so I was excited to discover a new author with such topic.

Everly was a flawless character! I loved her so much. I love how she is open-minded, she accept who Max is and what he does. She never has a judgemental thought/idea of what he does for a living.
She takes him as a whole and is even genuinely curious about his work.
Her character could have been easily different, more naive, and more introspective. But not at all. It was such a delight and refreshing to have a character so well developed in such a marvellous story.
Max is pretty confident on what effect he has on people. What attracts him to Everly was how she perceives him.
"She knew I was Max Levin, the porn guy. But she... didn't care"
"I'd been searching for the woman who saw beyond the porn. Just when I thought it was lost, Everly walked into my life. Grateful wasn't event the word to describe the debt I owed this woman."
Their relation is very teasing at first but soon become very sexy and sensual. The sex scenes are totally HOT and very well written. Max wants to take things slow so be prepared for some sexual tension
If you are looking for a story with something more, with a meaning behind a girl meets a boy, Rush is perfect for you.
Rush is a stand-alone and there's no mention if we will have another story but if the author is up for it. I would love to see what she can do for Ben

4.5 - "Don't underestimate the power of a good pussy." Stars!
If you are looking for something a bit different, sexy, edgy, slightly kinky, humorous, emotional, unexpected, in short a totally refreshingly engrossingly enjoyable read, then Rush is the book for you.

Max and Everly together were the perfect pairing, Mr. Been-there-done-it-all-and-got-the-t-shirt-to-prove-it, meets Ms. Life-as-it-passes-her-by, but the good thing about both of them is that they weren’t afraid to show their vulnerability with each other, or pull each other up on their bullshit.
This is one of those books that comes along and takes you quite by surprise. I have read books by Gina Gordon before, for the most part they have been enjoyable experiences, Rush took this author and her writing to the next level for me. Everything was just right, from the extremes in the plot and characterization, to the level and depth of the secondary characters involvement in the storyline as it developed.

And that was the best part of this book, I had pre-conceived ideas as to what Max would be like before I started the book, with a porn star mother and a porn production company owner father, he goes onto to take each of those mis-conceptions and show what type of guy he really is, with every ‘check’ mark he makes against Everly’s bucket list.
Everly in her innocence gave him the opportunity to be the man he wanted to be, but he also pushed her to see past the expectations that were heaped on her shoulders and to look at what she actually wanted from her life.
There’s been a lot of porn in my life lately.
I loved this book; it made a change from a lot of what I have been reading lately, and I hope that the author has the opportunity to explore this world and the characters in it more at some point soon in the future.

"A bad boy shows a straitlaced law student how to slow down and savor the good things." That sentence alone had me wanting to read RUSH by Gina Gordon. How could you not want to read a book about a porn empire heir and a quintessential good girl?
RUSH was the first book that I have read from this author and I found myself enjoying this book a lot. From the opening line of the first page, I was hooked. Ms. Gordon surprised me on how this book was so much more than the typical bad boy falling in love with a good girl. The characters had so much depth that you were allowed to see beyond the stereotypical image of the main characters. Ms. Gordon weaved a friendship turned romance into the story line that incorporated a slow burn, sexual filled tension relationship that highlights the depth of Max Levin and Everly Parker.
Everly Parker was the good girl who always followed the path that her parents set out for her. Her relationship with her parents seem to be one of those closed off relationships that is just based on expectations. Expectations that she get good grades, go to law school, and become a successful lawyer like her parents. So when she meets Max Levin all her expectations were thrown out the window. Max challenged Everly to live a little and help her cross off the bucket list that her grandmother left.
As Max helps Everly with her bucket list, feelings begins to brew between them. Attraction and lust begins to get blurred when love and attachment soon ignites. Sparks are set in motion. And soon readers found their relationship and feelings palpable and tangible. So can this heir to a porn empire find true love in an industry where sex and lust sells?
Rush was a fun, surprising New Adult read that I would recommend readers to check out. I loved the message of this book. It reminds readers to pursue their own happiness and true passion. And the most important to never judge a book by its cover. So if you are looking for a book that has so much depth then I would suggest you to read RUSH.

I LOVED this book! The main reason this book was a huge winner for me was the hero, Max. Max has grown up in the porn industry. His dad owns a very successful porn company, Max is the casting director and his mom was a porn star. Max was nothing like I was expecting. I thought he'd be some big manwhore playboy and instead he's sexy, sweet, funny, generous, and kind but he still manages to keep his bad boy edge. I also really liked Everly - she was the perfect match for Max. This was a great story with a fantastic romance and I highly recommend it! Fantastic!!!!!

Do not let the blurb for this book fool you. There is much more to this story then just a porn producer and a nose-in-her books law student. This is a story with much more complex characters then that. Deeper characters. Max and Everly are both trying to figure out what they want in life, who they want to be. And its a fun journey to go on with them, to watch them fall in love while they try to help each find the right path to take. I really enjoyed this book and I will definitely be checking out more from this author.

Max, the porn scion, meets Everly, law school student. They’re opposites in every way, but when Max finds a bucket list Everly’s grandmother left her to complete before she graduates, the game is on. And what happens during that? Of course romance happens.
The Good, The Bad and Everything In Between
The hero isn’t an actor, but the producer : Usually in romances, porn is what the hero (never the heroine, but that’s another story) does because he needs money or is free with his junk, etc. Max, as the son of the owner of White Lace Productions, he works behind the scenes, the business end of porn. *blinks* nah, too easy. Anyway, it was different which was good, since I’ve read bucket list romances this year and it felt familiar in that respect.
Took a while to warm up to Everly and Max : For a book where porn is the backdrop, and the characters spend alot of time saying they don’t judge, there’s an awful lot of judging going on. There’s enough judgment I expect from certain characters, but the way Everly derides Max and Max derides himself was a bit off-putting. I wanted to see them connecting, but there’s alot of casual disregard for Max’s feelings by Everly that stopped me from doing that.
Chemistry took some time to kick in : There’s no underlying spark of chemistry between them at first, because alot of the information regarding Max and Everly is imparted through their inner monologues. I would have liked to have seen this type of character development done through dialogue instead of alot of internal musing. I just feel that monologuing tends to isolate them.
Sexy times are had but not too kinky : Now lest you think that there’s nothing I enjoyed, that’s not the case. There’s plenty of fun times between Max and Everly, once they warm up to each other, and some very titillating scenes. But it’s not too crazy - there’s no touching/sharing/other women or men involved. I think the story hit its stride about halfway in and I did end up enjoying their relationship.
The final obstacle fell flat : The author spent time telling me Everly was caring, but she came across a bit stiff and joyless, and her selfishness kept me at arm’s length. When the heroine is as insecure as Everly is, there’s a fine line to ride between justifiable anxiousness and obliviousness. The last big argument before the HEA really had me siding with Max instead of Everly because she was so clueless as to his feelings and how he was affected by a world-changing reveal in his life. While the characters get past it, I took a bit longer.
I was intrigued with possible series : Meeting Max’s friends left me wondering about them and issues aside, I’d like to read a book about Max and Everly’s friends Ben and Grace.
The Bottom Line (2.5-3 stars)
It was alright. I definitely enjoyed the premise, and while I had issues with it, there was enough that I did enjoy that I would read more by Ms. Gordon.

This was beyond fantastically sexy! ...

Everly's Nan was the only person who really knew Everly. She knew her deepest darkest secrets and desires and insecurities and questions...so she left her a list. A list containing all the things that Everly should do in life. A list that would set her free !!
Cue ... Max Levine. Max is the heir to a porn empire. His mother was a famous porn star and his father is the famous producer of one of the most successful porn production companies. But something is missing. On the outside it would seem the man has the world at his finger tips, but what he really needs, is an Everly Parker.
In gonna give you the gist reeeeeeeal quick here (lol): Everly & Max meet. Max finds 'the list'. He decides he's gonna help her accomplish said list. And the rest is history ... :)
Obviously there is a lot more to the who what when where of it all, but what fun would it be if I detailed THAT for you. But I will detail what kind of book this was .... engaging, steamy and sexy when needed with enough originality to keep me turning the pages. I loved Max. I loved Everly and I loved their story. I know Gina Gordon can do sexy and create loveable characters, yet this was still an unexpected treat. With a couple who are fabulous together and a journey that held so much more than I anticipated, Rush isn't your normal good girl/bad boy New Adult read.
Written in a dual POV, we've been brought a sexy and fun read which also has real depth. Max Levin and Everly Parker are complex and their romance is a journey of discovery, realisation and of two young people finding their way in worlds where their lives have been pretty much mapped out for them. And when their paths cross, the attraction is instant, as much as Everly may initially fight it.
"If he didn't have sex with me soon I was going to die. Literally die, from wanting sex so badly."
I devoured it. Max and Everly both display a maturity befitting their years which was a welcome change, and whilst generally low in angst, it still held surprises. These characters were not what I was expecting; unique and endearing, I adored them individually and together.
Gina Gordon has brought life and warmth to an industry that isn't exactly renowned for this and not only is Rush hot, but it's also incredibly heartfelt. I've been left wanting more from the characters we've met and am hoping we get the opportunity to see Ben in all his glory.

This one surprised me in so many good ways – a real treat full of laughs, sizzle, and a big dose of the real thing! An alluring New Adult read by a new-to-me author. Definitely a fun-to-read story that grabbed me with the blurb and kept me in my chair from start to finish. Great writing and wonderfully entertaining characters.

Meet Max.. in his early twenties and the vice-president of a family empire, a pornography production house... sounds good right?
Max meets Everly, naive yet smart law-student. Everly's immediate impression of Max is a young playboy defined by his industry, sex...
Max pursues her in the hopes of changing her mind about him and to help Everly with a bucket-list her recently deceased grandmother left her. And this is where the fun begins.
I had initially thougn that this would be a cheezy tale of sexed-up NA's but was pleasantly surprised to learn that even though the H/h are surrounded by this world, the story does not focus overly mucb on it.
The romance is funny, entertaining and when sparks are flying, hot as all hell.
I liked this author's previous books and I knew this couldn't disappoint mucn because she writes well...
Definitely recommend this one for some quick fun..

Finally finished this. Loved the book. It was sexy, thrilling and edgy. This book blended the world of adult film industry with pure emotion. I simply loved the characters.

"Rush" , was a incredible read though and so much more than the book blurb promised, so if you are looking for a fluff story this is not it ! Yes, " Rush" gives you the hot sexy, experienced confident guy in Max Levin and the somewhat sheltered niave young women , Everly Parker . They have a more than undeniably mutual attraction for one another but both from different worlds, Max Levin is the son of the the number one porn company and heir apparent to the empire, so sex is no stranger to him , but it's is rare that the sight of a women stimulates him, until meeting the unassuming complete opposite of the normal women he is exposed to Ms EverlyParker !

Read this in one sitting...couldn't put it down!

I couldn’t read this one fast enough! Totally into from page one! This novel took on so much more than I thought it would. When I first began, I thought it was just going to be some erotic nonsense about a young man working as a vice president for some porn entertainment company. But, it was definitely more than that. Max Levin has grown up in the adult entertainment industry. His mother was a porn star and his father owned the company. But, there’s something missing in his life. What it is, he’s not really sure until he meets young and beautiful Everly Parker, roommate to two escorts that he’s considering hiring. He’s very taken with her, and when he volunteers to help her with a personal project, it’s the beginning of a new outlook on life for him. Everly has almost finished her law degree, something that both her parents have stressed is very important. But, what they don’t understand is that she doesn’t even know if she really wants to be a lawyer. It’s pretty much what’s expected of her. She’s worked hard her entire life with school and has not really had much time for pleasure. So, when she meets Max, this is a chance to break out of the boring work-infested mold and have some fun.
Both Max and Everly were awesome characters! He was just so fun and exciting. Always willing to push the envelope, but something was different with him when he was with Everly. He wanted to take his time. Not “rush” into anything. He saw himself falling for her as they spent more time together, and he really was so afraid of getting his heart broken. And, with her that could be a real possibility. Everly was definitely taking more chances while being with Max. She spent more time with him instead of studying all the time. She really was having fun. Pushing the limits. The intimacy between the two was sensual and sweet. Everly knew that she was out of her element with a man like Max. Why would someone so experienced like him want someone like her so vanilla? She constantly questioned his desire for her. She was pretty insecure at times when it came to their relationship. In fact, what kind of relationship was it? He never referred to her as his girlfriend, just “friend” when he introduced her to co-workers, friends, or family. She just knew that when their little project was over that there would be no reason for him to stick around.
I loved this book! It was funny, and heartbreaking, and romantic! The banter between the two was comical. I couldn’t help but laugh out loud. And, it was hot hot hot!!! The love scenes between Max and Everly. The filming of the movies. The auditions between the actors. Everything was just so smokin’! Jeez!!! (fanning myself constantly) And, that climax...holy crap, didn’t see that coming!!! If you like a little drama, some fun and exciting characters, and hot sex then this is the book for you! Can’t say that I was the least bit disappointed with this one!!!
Holy freakin’ abs...is all I have to say about that cover!!!!

I'm sure by now you've read the blurb for Rush and wanted to know what it's about. Let me break it down for you. Hot boy meets plain Jane girl, sees something special in the girl, decides to help her out, they fall in love and live happily ever after. Sounds simple right? Only this boy is heir to the biggest adult entertainment film maker in Canada. He's also VP and one of his duties is screening the talent. The girl is a heartbeat away from finishing school to become a lawyer. And what does she need help with? A bucket list of to do's left by her grandmother.
Let's start with Everly. Plain, smart, studious. Mom's a lawyer, dad's a lawyer. You can pretty much guess why she is on the track to becoming a lawyer. Everly's grandmother passed away leaving her not only her house but a bucket list of things to do before she finishes school. Things to loosen her up, to live life. Little things like date someone you wouldn't give the time of day to. Queue Max's entrance. Hot, rich, cocky. He's whole life has been about the porn industry. Mom was a porn star, dad is the president. Sole heir to his parents' dynasty, groomed to take over for his dad, but he feels something is missing. Everly and Max: Two opposites yet so the same.
I love this book! What a plot. It really wasn't what I expected. I thought what with the porn I was going to reading something sleazy. Instead, it was fun, exciting and had me laughing. The adventures Max takes Everly on to take complete her bucket list I couldn't get enough of. Don’t expect shallow one dimensional characters here. With dueling 1st person POVs we really get to experience their thought and emotions, all their insecurities and desires laid bare for us as we take a wild ride with them to their journey to a HEA. One that they want to live and not chosen for them. Along the way we get to meet a host of secondary characters that you can help but like and want to know more about. I laughed, I cried but mostly I devoured their story in one sitting, Yep, Rush is one of those books that I stayed up until the wee hours of the morning reading because I could not put it down. If I had one complaint about this book that it isn’t a series. I would love to see Ben’s and Grace’s futures.
As my first book by Gina Gordon I keep asking myself why I haven't discovered her before. Her ability to write a hot story and still keep it fun is simply amazing. I can't wait to read more of her books. As for reasons why you should read Rush, I'll give you five.

Rush is the first book that I have read by Gina Gordon and I am happy to say that it won't be my last. I truly enjoyed her writing style and the storyline of this book. She also created real and relatable characters. The flow and pace of this story were spot on!! I liked how this wasn't an insta love situation and that she had Max and Everly become friends and then took us on a journey of self discovery for both of these characters.
Max and Everly couldn't have been two more different people, but that is what made them work. Max and Everly meet by chance at a diner when Max is interviewing her roommates Grace and Sadie for jobs at his Porn Company.... White Lace Productions. What starts out as Max helping Everly complete a bucket list her grandma left her before she passed away, turned into the best thing that could happen to each other. This book wasn't filled with a lot of drama, just enough to pull your emotions into the story. Max and Everly were their own worst enemies, to tell the truth. And their lack of communication sometimes got in the way of their happiness at times. I did truly enjoy watching these two open themselves up to new things and realize they were more than what they were taught to believe they were.
Now I know what most people are thinking when it comes to this book....a storyline based around the porn industry, is going to be filled with too much sex and no really story behind it. Well I am here to tell you that is not the case in this book. I thought the author did a wonderful job balancing the storyline with the sex scenes. It wasn't overloaded with gratuitous amounts of sex, but the sex scenes we did get melted my kindle ;)
I really liked Grace and Ben (Max's BFF) as secondary characters. They lended a lot of support to both Max and Everly. I kind of hope that they might get their own stories.
I would recommend this book to everyone!!

I'm leaving for my honeymoon in the morning (yea!) so I don't have as much brain as I would like to write a review. Hopefully I'll be able to flesh this out later but for now - I really liked Rush.
Max is the heir to a (respectable, not sleezy) porn empire but doesn't seem to have his heart in his work. Likewise Everly is battling through the last year of law school, unsure of where she will end up. The two randomly meet and, thanks to a "bucket list" Everly got from her grandmother she accepts Max's offer of a date.
The path these two follow is believable and enjoyable. Both characters are fighting outside influences and trying to figure out what they want to do with their lives. The sex is hot and it's a slow build, and the fact that Max is in the porn industry plays no small part in the development of their relationship. I love the way it was handled and the realizations they come to by the end of the book.
I'm excited to see what else Gordon has in store for this series because the first book is delightful.

I thought this one was awesome! The premise of the book is great and I fell in love with Everly and Max right away. Don't let the fact that Max is heading up porn empire fool you. The book is so much more. Yes, there are tons of red hot sexy times but the core story is a true romance. When do gooder
