When I was in high school I occasionally read books but was consumed by other teenage things so I didn't take the time to appreciate a good book on a cloudy day, wrapped up in a blanket on the couch. It wasn't until I received a Kindle for Christmas one year that my world completely flipped upside down. When looking for books I came across the Contemporary Romance genre and was sold and I haven't turned back since.

You can either find my head buried in my Kindle, listening to inspiring heart ripping music or typing away on the computer twisting and turning the lives of my characters while driving my readers crazy with anticipation.

I currently reside in beautiful Colorado Springs where the sun is always shining and there is a trail waiting to be hiked on every corner. I share a lovely and warm home with the love of my life and my five, four-legged children.

It's hard to say goodbye, but the love pentagon had to end at some point. The question is, will everyone end up with an HEA?

Mason and Piper, what do to with them? They are hot and cold, quick and witty and will break your heart. Their relationship is such a roller coaster that at times, you're not sure if you can hang on anymore.

Ryker and Hannah...ying and yang. Hannah is the sweet, innocent girl and Ryker is the hot model, wide receiver who has slept his way around the field. He is too much of a playboy for her but he is determined to set her straight.

Jesse...a new character who will make your heart go pitter patter with glee. Who can refuse a starting NFL quarterback with a heart of gold and a body of a God? I sure as hell can't!

What about Ashlin, Jax and Brooke? They have their fun when it comes to intertwining with everyone's lives. There are so many different ways this book can end with who winds up with who and who gets their heart broken.

All I have to say is...all's fair in Love and Sports.

To be honest I skipped most of the book, you really couldn't class it as having read it I skipped so much!

Now we are reading the POV's of Mason, Piper, Ryker, Hannah, Jesse, Ashlyn, Jax and Brooke - did I miss anyone?! I don't think I've ever read a book with so much disjointedness. What a mess.

Mason and Brooke were engaged in book one and she called it off at the beginning of book two then wanted him back by the End of book two but ends up with Jax during this book.

Piper and Jax had a one minute engagement by the end of book two but she cheated on him with Mason and had a second chance with Mason in this book.

Ryker and Ashlin knew each other as kids, had a close enough friendship to constantly cause insecurities with the mouse, Hannah throughout this book well the tidbits I read.

Jessie, possibly the most normal one but I really wouldn't know cause I only skimmed the book is with Ashlin.

Now that that's cleared up read this at your own peril🙃

OMG! The end is here and I'm a blubbering mess.....I want to thank the FAN-FRICKING-TASTIC, Quinn for kindly providing me a copy of Three and Out to read and review.

This has been one hell of a whirlwind of series, the ups and downs, laughter, heartache, the amount of ugly cries....Quinn surely knows how to write an amazing series and I for one can't wait to read more of her work...

Three and Out is written in the multiple P.O.V.'s...YESSS!!!!!

Mason AKA Donkey Dick (Ryker's words) is left heartbroken and in a dark and broken place after piper did a number on him..

Mason has been doing great in football with the Stallions, going out and hooking up but no one knows that deep inside, he feels sad and broken. Will he ever see Piper again? How would he deal with that kind of situation?

Piper....she's literally disappeared from the face of the planet....no-one and I mean no-one has seen or heard from her....Mason....couldn't give two flying fucks......really?

The outrageous banter between Mason and Ryker at times even Piper had me laughing and snorting at the same time throughout this book.

"What are you going to do while I'm here? Buy some lingerie? Maybe take some naked pictures for me?" "Really, Mason? You know, when you're not around, women don't sit around fingering themselves and thinking about you, right?" "A man can only dream."

The story between Ryker and Hannah, picks up where it was left off in book two...these two still have a lot of work to do before they can get to where they were before the dick of a head, Todd, left Hannah..

Oh and HELLO newbie Jessie, This guy is HOT, certainly gives Mason a run for his money.....even in the other department..*wink wink**

Ashlin has a history that causes her to steer away from relationships, She doesn't want to deal with the possible chance of having your heart broken; of having someone hurt you when you give yourself to them.

Jesse wants to get to know Ashlin and see if there is a chance she can become the one girl for him...Will Jesse be able to change Ashlin's mind and break past her fears of relationships? Is Ashlin willing to change her view towards relationships to give the sweet and caring Jesse a chance before their chance passes them both by?

I honestly don’t want to give away too much deets, because it's such a MUST READ but there are moments that made me wonder who was going to end up with who but everyone is exactly where they should be by the last page of the book. The journey to get there however, was one helluva' freaking ride and I loved every second of it.

Damn, Meghan Quinn sure knows hot to spin a story that makes you crave for more!!!
Fantastic series but I'm sad to see it come to an end.

Loved this conclusion with the gang! I’m going to miss them so much! Loved Mason and Pipers story! Hannah and Ryker, Jesse and Ashlin and even the return of Jake and Lexi! Heck...even happy for Jax and Brooke. Lots of drama...but it made it unputdownable! Highly recommend this series!

So the final book in the series starts where book two left us, on a pretty shit set of events amongst our 2 main couples Mason and Brooke and Jax, as well as Hannah and Ryker. The conclusion to the series continues with the characters we know and love; but also introduces some new ones too. Meaning, yes multiple POV's; but I found it easy enough to follow, it gave me enough from each character to get attached and to feel they were worked into to the storyline with purpose.

Mason and Piper - at the end of book 2 left each other in one fucked up disaster zone to be fair, they have destroyed each other. Piper has disappeared and no-one knows where she is or how to find her. Mason however is still playing Football; but is now an empty shell of a man. He is using endless amounts of woman to numb his senses and emotions, gaining himself quite the reputation. When the two finally do meet again things are tense, it was an addictive read to see them figure it out, as for me Piper and Mason were intense and their chemistry so well written from the get go!

Ryker and Hannah - After douche bag Todd caused the humiliation Hannah experienced in public at the end of the second book, took it out on Ryker, her confidence and self worth in tatters. Ryker is at a loss, he doesn't know how to help Hannah to see she is worthy of the world and he wants to give it to her, even if he is angry at her for the things she said. Thrown into the mix Ryker's new endorsement is modelling very sexy underwear with his childhood confident and model Ashleigh. Hannah is pushed to her limits and once upon a time being that insecure girl, Hannah's thoughts and feeling resonated with me here. But these two are a couple you know are just made for each other they just have to wiggle until they fit together and it will all fall into place.

The surprise couple of the book is Jax and Brooke! Piper's ex and Mason's ex find common ground and things flourish from there. Both sharing their previous relationship issues and angst in brings them together but also pulls them apart. Questions is has fate steered them into the right direction?

Then we have the new couple. Ashliegh is Ryker's childhood confident and friend, they share a rough start in life and got each other through a rough childhood; but haven't seen each other n years. Ashleigh is now a model and heads up a campaign with Ryker bringing their histroy back to the present, and all the old feelings they once shared trickle through.
Jesse is the new Quarterback for the Stallions, has the body of a God; but the man himself is quiet, polite, reserved and is not the guy wanting a hook up, he is in it for the long haul. When Ryker introduces Jesse to Ashleigh he is smitten and tries to work up the courage to ask her out. Ashleigh afraid of letting anyone into her world, her past, her future and afraid of being hurt, wants nothing but a good fuck here and there - a relationship is the farthest thing from her mind. Slowly but surely with Ryker's gentle pushing and taunting Jesse begins to worm his way into Ashleigh's heart. These two are sweet couple, Jesse is a likeable guy and Asleigh does nothing but push him away again and again; but the man does grow some balls and goes after what he wants, where there is a will there is a way.

Three and out is a great conclusion to all of the stories we have been invested in throughout. Ryker and Mason as always provide some fantastic moments of humour to bring some lightness to all the angst going on. A great way to wrap everything up, I wasn't disappointed, well I am...... but only in the fact that it's all over now!

I read this book out of sheer book OCD. I wanted to know if Mason and Piper made it work. I knew going into it that there would probably be a lot of annoying angst, running away, detailed scenes with ow-om, and I was prepared to skim. Some may love this book, but I didn't. It's purely preference and also due, in part, to any residual feelings I have left over from reading book #2.

I will say this: this book had too much going on in it. If the author had focused on one couple, I might have enjoyed it a lot more. I think the author is talented enough to develop some really great MCs, but there were just too many of them. As it was, there were four couples, all with their own issues, all of them really annoying and angsty, and I just couldn't take it any more. I started skimming all of Jesse and Ashlin's (I think that's her name) story. I couldn't find myself to care about Jax (even though I adored him in the previous book). Hannah was so insecure in this and Piper, while she really tried to make amends for what she'd done to just about everybody in this book, failed to make me empathize with her. The dialogue was also pretty sappy in this book. There was a lot of telling, not showing and I was just glad to be done with it.

Sheer insanity

These last two books are their own soap opera…especially Piper and Brooke. I didn’t really expect this level of chaos after reading the first book in the series. Lexi and Jake seemed relatively normal, but the rest of their friends and just kind of unhinged. Jax is normal o guess, but he finds “the love of his life” way too easily, especially for a kind of bitter guy. Definitely not my favorite character.
Brooke is just kind of an immature and vengeful hoe. Hannah is just too sweet and innocent to even be friends with the rest of this crew, especially Ryker, who is his own brand of crazy. But I guess opposites do attract.
And Piper and Mason…he’s a normal guy I guess. Heartbroken, he went a bit crazy in his player ways until he met Piper (aka JoJo), but they hated each other initially. Piper had good reason to hate him at the start, but what happened between them was literally the stuff of soap operas. What an absolutely crazy relationship.
The epilogue is fun and a nice wrap up. And there is a reason soaps are so popular.

FULL REVIEW:
My star rating for the conclusion of the Love and Sports Series: 4 1/2 out of 5, baby! :)

My ‘Blogging Reader’s Review’ after reading ‘THREE AND OUT' by Author Penelope Ward (via: Booksmoviesfandoms.wordpress.com):

***WARNING: Possible SPOILERS if you haven’t read the previous Novels of the Love and Sports Series.***

After reading "Three and Out", my heart feels both satisfied with this series' end but also a little sad to see it reach the finale of these crazy characters I've come to adore in their own ways. Meghan Quinn gave a great ending to this series with an entertaining set of twists and turns in regards to the relationships within the story. This story is written in the multiple P.O.V.'s (point of views) of Mason, Jesse, Jax, Brooke, Hannah, Ashlin, and Piper.

If you've been following the series, you'll know that the story between red-haired firecracker Piper and the two men that made the other corners of the hot love-triangle, Mason and Jax, ended badly. In book two of the series, Piper ran from Denver to hideout somewhere far away from the city after breaking her engagement to Jax and catching Mason with Brooke. The story in "Three and Out" picks up where that story leaves off. No one has heard from Piper. Everyone that has a tie to Mason, hasn't heard a word from her and Mason feeling heartbroken acts like he is fine with her disappearing act. Mason has been doing great in football with the Stallions, going out and hooking up but no one knows that deep inside, he feels sad and broken. Will he ever see Piper again? How would he deal with that kind of situation? We get to the bottom of it all and we find out what happens to Mason and Piper in this story.

Then you have Ryker who is a hot football player with his own fashion sense, who's childhood best friend, Ashlin becomes a part of his life again. The story for Ryker and the innocent girl he's been crushing hard on, Piper's friend and co-worker Hannah, picks up where it was left off in book two. Ryker has spoken with her in the past few months since she found out that her boyfriend Todd was actually a married man with a family that he never told her about. While dealing with that heartache, she used that anger to push away Ryker. All Ryker can think about is Hannah but he knows that she may not want anything to with him even though he did nothing wrong. Hannah is dealing with her feelings of having her heart broken, having her friend Piper running off when she needed her, and Ryker seeming to move on with his old BFF Ashlin, according to the magazines and tabloids. When Hannah "runs into" Ryker again, will they try to reach out to one another again or will it be too late? Will Hannah ever feel for Ryker what he's confessed to her over and over again? Their conclusion is hashed out in "Three and Out."

Ashlin has a history that causes her to never want a relationship. She doesn't want to deal with the possible chances of having your heart broken; of having someone hurt you when you give yourself to them. She's noticed Jesse, the quarterback for the Stallions and friend to Ryker and Mason. Jesse has noticed Ashlin since the first time she showed up to cheer on Ryker and he assumed that she was Ryker's girl. For some reason Jesse can't shake his attraction and the interest he has in Ashlin. Ashlin learns more about Jesse besides being the hot QB for the Stallions and realizes he's not the typical womanizing and sexually driven type of guy that she expected. Jesse wants to get to know Ashlin and see if there is a chance she can become the one girl for him; Ashlin wants to hook up with Jesse but she finds out he's sweet and looking for a relationship but she doesn't do relationships. Will Jesse be able to change Ashlin's mind and break past her fears of relationships? Is Ashlin willing to change her view towards relationships to give the sweet and caring Jesse a chance before their chance passes them both by?

Finally, you have an unexpected connection for Jax as well as for Mason's ex, Brooke. They both get their chances to meet the person who works well with them. Jax was Piper's short-lived fiance who ended up with a broken heart. Brooke was Mason's ex, who hooked up with Mason in book two, trying to win him back. They are mixed into the story and end up finding their own love and fate along the way as well.

There are moments in "Three and Out" that made me wonder who was going to end up with who. Such a wonderful conclusion to each and every character in this series. Sometimes you don't end up with the one you think you belong with; you end up with the one meant for you. I highly recommend this series and this novel because it is captivating, enthralling, hot as hell, and deliciously entertaining! Check it out for sure. Thank you Meghan for this great series... such a fabulous journey and awesome conclusion to the "Love and Sports Series!" :)

Three and out

Meghan Quinn

Reviews on goodreads. Amazon. The book addicts.

So I decided to write my review as a threesome. Phahaha. Don’t know why that just came to me and was so funny. Anywho

I loved this series !! The first book took me a little to get into. And by book three I was in love !! Book three was my absolute favorite!! I love how each character has it’s on chapter !! And it just finishes the story for me !!

I am slowly making my way through Meghan Quinn’s books. So far I have loved them all !! The humor that she put into her stories and the little twist and turns will keep you holding on till the end !!

Glad I gave this series another chance

After book two left me unhappy with the cheating among other issues.
I enjoyed the development of the different couples relationships.
Yes I said couples. That is what I didn’t like. Should have broken series into books about the different main characters.
Definitely felt this and second book was misleading with the burbs.
Led us to believe it would be Mason and Piper story, but in addition it was Ryker and Hannah (my favorite), Jax and Brooke, Jesse and Ashlin (who I loved but felt like story needed more depth).
As it was it was way too long and should have been broken into different books by the players.

Drama

For the most part I liked the books, but the drama was down right ridiculous. First Lexie seems like and amazing mature woman, then gets in a relationship and straight up loses her MIND. Piper gets even worse with her bs. I’m not a fan of cheater stories, but it wasn’t just that, it just seems like the characters kept doing more and more dumb stuff. And Hannah, dear lord, she should’ve seen that coming a mile away. I didn’t even really read the last book, just skimmed enough to get the ending sorted out.

Too many romance is going on at once, too much messy

Good writing, excellent characters, but the storyline is a bit of a klusterfuk. If you like soap opera dramas this is an amazing book, but there's just too much going on all at once. These characters need their own books, not to share one. There are a couple of characters who I had a very hard time liking at all, but at the same time they were awesome. If you like complicated books you're going to love this, but it was a bit much for me.

Sweet dramatic conclusion

This is book three but really the second part of book two since it ended in a cliffhanger. Overall there were some errors in the series, but nothing i couldn't get past. Lots of drama, but a happily ever after for all. I really enjoyed this series, even if it wasn't my favorite by this author. I liked how it was told in multiple points of view like the Hotlanta series was. Definitely different, but well done and easy to follow

Ah, the final book of the series. There was a lot of drama, as always, with a rollercoaster of emotion.

I feel like there were too many viewpoints (Mason, Piper, Ryker, Hannah, Jesse, Ashlin, Jax, Brooke) so at times, I kind of forgot who’s point of view I was reading from.

At the end, everyone got their Happily Ever Afters, so that made me happy.

Love triangle for sure

Five couple - viewpoints from each individual- 10 on again, off again friends. There is always action- once one couples story comes to a calm you are thrown into a different couple etc. the characters are good and it’s a fun read.

With this being the final story in this series, it turned out to be wonderful. I am so glad the couples were able to work everything out that was between them. The only thing I missed in this story was Parker and Margo but that was to be expected since Parker went to Atlanta after college for baseball. I was so excited that Carson and Piper were able to work everything out between them and get their happy ending. They were one of my favorite couples in the series besides Lexi and Jake.
