Confusingly contradictory and honestly very condescending. I started reading at a younger age and put it down. Just finished it to get it off my "currently reading" shelf... I'm glad that I didn't internalize this worldview when I picked it up in the first place :/

MORE. MORE. MORE. I wanted more!

What I really like about this book is that it's straight to the point. It doesn't sugarcoat anything. It's honest about physical (pregnancy, abortion, STDs, etc.), emotional, and spiritual consequences, but the problem with this is that it feels like it's rushed. Pam doesn't use Bible verses until the very end where she puts them back to back, as if these were in her notes for all of the topics that she talked about but forgot to incorporate them into the previous chapters.
This isn't a waste of time though. It certainly will provide moments where you'll question yourself and get a little scared. However, because she doesn't elaborate more on the topics and just states facts and sarcastic remarks, it doesn't really leave an impression.
If you're going to study sexuality, how it operates, and the negative effects of it under the expertise of Pam the "sexpert," watch her videos instead. She goes way more into detail and presents it in a very personal manner. She should have taken her scripts from her videos and adapted them for the book.

This was a very good read and informative

This is a quick read but it is packed with information and both spiritual and emotional guidance. Our community has taken the sacredness of sex and stripped it of it's wonder, and has clothed it in the garb of commonality. This book does a wonderful job of pointing out that sex does has a price.
