A delightfully dated romance from 1992. Two computer geeks meet and start their own company - I loved all the references to diskettes, supercomputers, and modems. This books definitely had me feeling nostalgic for earlier days of the computer age. The romance was pretty good too, and the plot is as much mystery as romance. The sci fi angle appealed to me as well. Character development is very good for a genre romance, not only for the hero and heroine but for some side characters such as the hero's brother as well. I like Rachel Lee and this is an excellent example of her ability to spin a tale that is more than just a cookie cutter romance.
I like the characters but these books are a lot more angsty than I remembered. And there are definitely parts that have consent issues. It would be nice if they could resolve things earlier so we could get a bit of an epilogue to decompress after all the suspense and angst!
