Curse of the Alpha: Episodes 5 & 6 by Tasha Black
Genres: Adult, Paranormal, Romance
3 Stars

I enjoyed episodes 5 & 6 much more than the previous episodes.
There was a lot more action and things happened much quicker.

Without all the ridiculous mental & emotional angst Ainsley seemed determined to create for herself by putting her head in the sand, she finally started learning things and became a more interesting character.

I don't remember finding any errors/typos.

However, I can't say I loved it, nor do I feel the urge to continue with the other series dealing with Ainsley, " Fate of the Alpha " and " Heir to the Alpha".

That may change in the future since their publishing dates are 2015 & 2017.

I know Tasha Black's writing improved by leaps and bounds very quickly as proved by her 300 Moons & Building a Hero series.

Both of which I love and will follow diligently.

EPISODE 5:
Okay so slowly and I mean so ever so damn slowly Cressida is growing on me, "you heard what I said. It's not right for the whole town to pay the price while the two of your pu**yfoot around. Just eff him. While you still can. He's a fantastic lay - you won't regret it." I mentioned the ever so slowly part right? Erik is also slowly being a good boy and is getting himself out of the bad boy dog house with his thoughtfulness, "I'll get you some clothes in town tonight," he offered gruffly." Mmhmm that boy is wishing she be running around naked 24/7 let's not lie to ourselves. Now our boy really got out of the doghouse when he didn't make a fuss by how much our girl ate or how fast she ate it that is a man right there ladies, "suddenly Ainsley was embarrassed about how quickly she had wolfed down her lunch. She looked down at her hands. "I like a woman who doesn't pick at her food." So some of the issues were resolved I'm hoping they will all be resolved in the next installment.
EPISODE 6:

**********************MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS*********************************

The issues were resolved but the author did a very, very naughty thing she left us with a cliffhanger I was cursing her out, called her the 'B' word a few times (she knows this I messaged her she thought it was funny). The cliffhanger wasn't about Erik and Ainsley they surprisingly like to have lots of sex...well... that's not surprising at all but you get my drift. Erik may not have an embarrassing bone in his body when he's completely naked our girl on the other hand is a little shy, "He turned back to her with a smile, looking her up and down. It hit her, that she was completely naked in the bright light of Erik's sunny kitchen" When Erik and Ainsley are doing the naughty you just don't burst into their house like your a** is on fire and interrupt them, "then you can teach me. But you will never burst into this house, or any house I'm in, without knocking again. Do you understand?" He's a very generous lover, "slow, baby, slow," he whispered, "I'll take care of you, don't worry." Overall this is a good series I mean once the characters got their head's out of their a**es.

This is the third book in the Tarker’s Hollow series. They do need to be read in the order of release, as this is a continuing serial.

I think my exact words at the end of the book were, “What, no! Now I need the next book, STAT!!” (And I’m not even in the medical field, so stat is not a common term for me.) This is the end of book 1, released in six parts / three audio files, but it is definitely not the end of the series and there is no doubt of that.

Now, what did I think of episodes five and six? They were jaw dropping! Do not think for one minute that you will have anything all figured out. Okay, maybe a few things, it is a werewolf romance after all.

I finally love Ainsley and I love how this has worked out so far. I am jumping up and down to grab the next book – also released in six parts/ three audios (so there will be three reviews). As long as Tasha Black keeps writing them, I’ll keep reading/listening to them.

Narration: Addison Spear is a wonderful narrator. There were two places in the production where a sentence was repeated, but other than that, I found no blatant technical errors.

Note: While I received this book as a gifted audiobook copy, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

Sorry it took so long for this review charge it to my head not my heart, for I loved it. This book in many ways picked up the pace from the other two. It was full of action and suspense, not to mention a few twists. I was overjoyed by the true alphas revelation, wow didn't see that coming. The heated scenes were nice but could have a bit spicier. The whole series is a recommendation for my friend to read. In fact, a few have bought the series, after I explained my shock with episodes 1,2,3,4. Excellent books could give more stars if available.

This book was offered to me by a friend and it was impossible to put it down. The action is non stop, the sex scenes are out of this world and the characters are as loyal and loving as there can be. It was a real page turner and a great way to finish the series. If you love awesome series, incredible shifters, an out of this world group of characters, this series is for you. Book 3 of this series was definitely worth it!

That's bullshit that the sheriff and his dad covered up the crimes they committed and nobody found out about it until recently. It's good that Julian wants 2 try and help after everything he's pulled lately. It's good that she survived the bullet that was really close 2 killing her and she saved her mate in the process and her best friend saved her. It's good that she is accepted after she finally accepted herself after seeing and hearing the truth from her beloved parents.

The Episodes 5 and 6 continue where the last episode ended. The storyline is suspenseful and fast-paced. We learn more about Ainsley's past. I love this Series, and now I can't wait to listen to the next episodes in the Fate of the Alpha trilogy. The narration is really well done. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily written this review.

Continuing story about Ainsley. We learned that Ainsley is more than meets the eye. Eric and Cressida stand with her through thick and thin. Clive is an idiot. I can think of worse things to call him. Some issues are still unresolved, but help is available.

Finished

Glad to be done. The characters never had the right motivations. Motive is what creates reader interest. Too much negativity made this story dead from the start.

This review is going to be short compared to the other two. Episodes 5 and 6 were filled with action and revelations. I did like who turned out to be the Alpha and was pleasantly surprised by it too. It made perfect sense and for that, awesome.

This is the last two novellas of this serial, but there are two other serials dealing with Ainsling out in Kindle. There's only one in audio so I'll be waiting a bit longer. Luckily, this serial ended on a good note that does make it easier to wait. If it was like the cliffhangers of the others, I don't know how I would manage.

I am excited to see what will happen later on and who will be matched up.

I received an ARC of this book from the author in return for an honest review.
Curse of the Alpha, Episodes 5 & 6 is the touching finale of the Curse of the Alpha series. Tasha Black does it again! The stories are full of twists and turns about a city girl finally coming into her own, and trying to pick a mate. We’ve come to really know and love not just Ainsley and Eric, but all the residents of Tarker's Mills! Tasha Black’s characters are very creative, well developed, and imaginative. She has a talent for writing with the kind of details and descriptions that will keep you engrossed in the story as well as make you feel like you are there experiencing everything yourself. There are plenty of surprises, twists & turns that keep you on the edge of your seat!!
I don’t want to give any spoilers away but I’ll say this there were surprising twists and, while there is an end, there is more to the story after this. Episode 5 and 6 is about Ainsley accepting who she is and coming to terms with her painful past. Finally realizing and accepting that she simply cannot run and hide from her responsibilities. She accomplishes this by learning about herself and uncovering things about her parents and childhood friend which in turn empowered her. I’ll say this; I wasn’t expecting the twist with her mom's background!
Another pleasant surprise was I was expecting Cressida to be a foe and not a friend in this series! Ainsley has a powerful enemy which puts her in a position she will have to learn to trust Julian to help her save Erik and all those she loves. Will she be able to get over Julian’s betrayal?
Many questions were answered in the series, but some still go unanswered. Who had Clive under their thumb? What did he/she want? Where are they? I did not see the ending coming! I read so many books where I can anticipate the ending but Tasha Black was able to surprise me! I look forward to reading Fate of the Alpha series to see what happens next! I definitely highly recommend everyone to read all Curses of the Alpha Episodes for an awesome read with plenty of twists, surprises, and hot steamy scenes! I applaud you Tasha Black!

Erik saves Ainsley from Clive and his two omega wolves. He takes her back to his place to keep her safe. She has to bring the the Alpha and soon or Erik is going to hurt her. Her relief over finding out the truth about Brian has her feeling lighter and because of that she may even be able to accept her wolf.

I was expecting Cressida to be one of the "bad guys" in this series but for her to become a true friend to Ainsley is awesome. Ainsley is finally starting to accept the fact that she can't run and hide anymore and she's slowly starting to accept her inner wolf too. Her and Eric being together feels so right and am waiting to see if anything further happens with her and Cressida. There is this tension there from Eric waiting for them to do something together.

This was an awesome series and the whole 6 serials I was unable to put any of them down. They are completely consuming and beautifully written. The characters grow and change and it's so much fun to watch things happen. I'd have to say the three of them together, Ainsley, Cressida and Eric, are going to be a force to be reckoned with. Once you finish this series you're going to want so much more from them.

I received a copy of this book from the author in return for an honest review.

As I started my first episode I realized I didn't want to stop reading as I had planned. Ms. Black had me hooked and there was no way I was putting this book down. Each page that she wrote seemed to be free-flowing page by page.
Episode 5
Ainsley was running strange things were happening to her. She didn't understand how or why but she was seeing thing that can't be real. Clive was mad at her and chasing her. So she kept running , bumping into Erik's wolf. Ainsley was so scared then the wolf turned into Erik and she was in his arms. Ainsley and Erik ran to there childhood cave but Clive was still chasing them. Ainsley knew she had to save Erik.
And magic helped.
Episode 6
Ainsley Conner's was a witch and with Erik's help she learned to shift and now she was a wolf. This last episode ties everything together, so if I was to say anymore I would spoil it for you to read. And believe me it was hard to review every episode and not spoil it. This most definitely is a must read.
I was gifted this ARC for an honest and truthful review.

The final confrontation? Totally worth every second...

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. May contain mild spoilers.

Oh my goodness. There really isn't much that I can say that won't spoil the final 2 books but I will say this Episode 6 contains the final confrontation. Or does it?

Episode 5 focused on the choosing of the Alpha. I was shocked by the Alpha that was actually chosen. It makes total sense but I can say that I really didn't expect that it would happen. So happy that it did though.

Episode 6 focuses on Ainsley and her bada$$ness. She is so smart and outwits the best of them. This episode contains the final battle however you later find out that it is not actually the final confrontation and that there is so much more to come. Can I just say Julian what?!?

Without a doubt I loved this series. I can't wait to start on Fate of the Alpha as I know I'm going to enjoy it just as much!

Curse of the Alpha: Episodes 5 & 6: A Tarker's Hollow Serial (Curse of the Alpha Box-Set Book 3) by Tasha Black is the conclusion to the series. It is a compelling book. I gave it five stars.

Ainsley is still coming to terms with her differences. It's becoming nice to think of them as a talent instead of a curse.

"She hurriedly climbed the rest of the way onto him and could swear that he was laughing, not just panting.

'Laugh it up, fuzzball. If we make it out of here alive, I am so going to whack you on the nose with a rolled up newspaper.'"

This book contains mature sexual content.

Ainsley has made a powerful enemy. She still needs to choose an alpha for Tarker's Hollow. One mystery was solved. Can she make the right choice for herself? For the town?

Well I certainly didn't see all that coming! But it was SO GOOD! AWESOME, FANTASTIC AND SPELLBINDING are a couple words that come to mind when I reflect on this series. Miss Black sure knows how to write a story. Seriously, you HAVE to read this series! Yes I'm repeating myself a little but I just can't think of any other way to tell you FANTASTIC SERIED! If I could give it ten stars, I would. The characters are very well formed with an excellent story line. A very different kind of shifter series. But a good different. Oh and shifters aren't the only supernaturals in the series.

I'm leaving this review of my own free will. In no way have I been bribed, coerced or paid to leave this review.

This was an amazing conclusion to the Alpha book set. Who will Ainsley Finally pick as the Alpha! Will Eric finally step up and go after the woman he has been in love with since they were kids. Will he be able to save her from the evil force that is trying to kill her. Together will they be able to unravel the mystery her parents left behind. Why were they killed and who is trying to kill Ainsley before she can pick a new alpha for the pack. I enjoyed how Ainsley finally learns to accept her werewolf heritage and become one with her wolf. But will she learn fast enough to save herself and the pack.

we join ainsley once more in the conclusion of this story, well this part of it. HEA and no serious cliffhangers.
think 95% of what needed to be resolved and cleared up, has happened. finally seeing her future and embracing it, and erik, finally set a whole lot of things in motion. i really don't want to dive into the details because i belief you simply have to read it! it is that good.
just as the previous parts it reads very easy. sometimes you can read a book and think WTH, i can do better and then you come across little gems and think to yourself: this is how it should be! this is one of those.
she's permanently going on my to read list (poor bookfund hahaha)

A Review of the Entire Curse of the Alpha Series

This series by Tasha Black grabs your attention right away and holds it through all six episodes. I was compelled to keep reading. Each episode has a cliffhanger that won't be ignored.

The writing is smooth, the characters develop in a strong way, the suspense builds with each twist the story takes.

On a personal note, there were parts that I felt spoiled the effect somewhat. I'm no prude, but the sex scenes were graphic to the point of being crude. However, be that as it may, I thoroughly enjoyed the story, with all the suspense and emotional twists and turns.

Review for the whole series...I WANT MORE!

I found this series because the first installment was free but GOD I couldn't stop reading after. I finished this small series in less than a day. I absolutely loved it. Not only is there mystery but romance as well. The best part is that it is paranormal. There were a few grammatical and spelling errors but you can hardly notice them. Also, since the series is so small, I wish it had been divided in two rather than six. Still, I totally recommend it. It'll captivate you and leave you wanting more.

I have read all six episodes of Curse of the Alpha and recommend them to anyone who enjoys paranormal erotic romance with a strong female lead, mysteries around every corner, and entry of erotic love scenes.

Tasks Black writes with a powerful voice, quick humor and a fascinating imagination.

I'd say this is the perfect ending to a great series, but it seems the author had a different plan with 'Fate of the Alpha' series coming next. But wow was this a great story. I loved how it played out. It was thrilling, suspenseful and had some great hot and steamy scenes. The characters were awesome. The surprises kept coming and that's what made this series a fantastic read. Tasha Black has an amazing ability to pull you in and not let go. Well written. A definite must read.

This review is for episodes 1-6. This is a serial about werewolves. I had wanted something quick and for it still to have a good storyline. This surprisingly did have a good story I just did not fall in love with it until episodes 4-6. In the beginning of this story the heroine was just annoying. I mean she was just stupid about certain things. However, episodes 4-6 were really good. I did not see the ending coming which I love. I read so many books so it is fun for me to be surprised.
