Fisher-Price has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Mattel since 1993. The company also manufactures a number of products and toys designed for infants.
My 1-year-old and 4-year-old both enjoy these lift-the-flap books. There's nothing particularly special or notable about them, but they are really sturdy. I also like that they have a TON of flaps to lift and can keep the kids occupied for a long time.
ETA June 2017: L (2 1/2) is very into this book right now. It takes ages to read because she likes to lift every single flap and comment on absolutely everything. This is a downside at bedtime, but an upside in general!
