This thematically chosen anthology could be used during mathematics or science when teaching a lesson on shapes, plants, solar system, weather, mammals, insects, or the human body. The possibilities are numerous, for lessons, due to the versatility of each poem. Students can also find many things to compare and contrast throughout the book.

I highly recommend it!

I read the poem Polygons from this book. It describes different shapes and their characteristics. I thought it was a great way to talk about shapes with students.
