Even with over 1.5 million copies of my books in print, I still feel like I haven’t written the perfect story. From my office in the woods of Northern Alberta, I’ll keep trying. Inspired by spectacular sunrises, breathtaking Northern Lights and long walks through wooded trails, the stories keep coming. I really enjoyed this book. Logan becomes guardian to his two ten year old nieces when his sister dies. They need a tutor so Logan hires Sandra, a stained glass artist and aspiring teacher who is between jobs at the moment. The girls hit it off instantly with Sandra and decide to do a little matchmaking. I really loved Brittany and Bethany, the twins. They were adorable. I don’t read many books with “matchmaking” children so this was something different for me. The book also had a cute ending!
Quick read. Love Inspired romance, so you knew the ending before you started. Still fun to read about the match-making twins and the adults who were helpless to stop them.
Will a focused architect and a freed spirited tutor ever agree?
Dean is an architect focused on his career when he becomes the guardian of his precocious 10-year-old nieces. Having grown up in a vagabond lifestyle, Dean is desperately trying to bring his nieces into an orderly and disciplined way of life when he is forced to accept the tutor his mother hired to teach the girls.
Sandra has been brought up by her widowed professor father and has struggled to break free of what she perceives as chains holding her back from an independent life. After several years of living a life with no boundaries and being duped by a vile boyfriend, Sandra ends up as a tutor employed by a man she sees as just like her inflexible father. The twins are caught in the middle.
This is a tale of two individuals who must find a way for the girls to learn their school lessons and become polite young ladies. The twins are working hard to bring their uncle and tutor to the alter. This makes for a delightful read.
Aspen Valley is peaceful, near water and hills, close to the stars in the middle of the night, and, the location of a vacation home. Dean Napier had recently been awarded sole guardianship of his twin nieces, and they were a handful and more work than he had expected. He was single, having lost his girlfriend when he gained the girls, totally out of his depth with these new wards, and, clearly wanting the best for them no matter what it took. I loved the twins and their enthusiasm; I loved the tutor, Sandra, and her many fun ways; and, I absolutely loved the manipulating ways the girls tried to get the couple together. This story-line is easy to enjoy and fun to read. Thanks to the author for writing such a great book.
I really like this series and I especially liked this new book in the series of love and faith. The characters, especially Sandra, pulled me right into the story. I liked her free spirit and that she was lost and trying to find herself and her way back to her faith and her family.
I also liked Dean who was now raising his twin nieces and trying to do the best he could. I enjoyed how he met Sandra and I also enjoyed his matchmaking nieces. I found it fun watching Dean and Sandra butt heards and I enjoyed the banter between them. The twins' matchmaking antics were fun too.
I really enjoyed that this book was inspirational and full of hope, finding oneself, and opening one's heart to love. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
When Dean hears that his nieces' tutor has quit and his mother is leaving soon for Alaska to paint, Dean wants to fix the problem quickly. Dean wants a more stable life for the twin girls than he had growing up. Free spirited Sandra is not his ideal replacement tutor, but she might be the only one he can get on such short notice. His twin nieces are more interested in matchmaking than in their school work. I received a free copy of this ebook from the publisher. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. I love how the twins created so many amusing scenes. I love how Andie was able to reflect on her life and her decisions. I also love how Dean was able to really see Andie. This is a book that I didn't want to put down.
This latest addition to Carolyne Aarsen's books is full of the love, loss, caring, an abiding faith in God and on it goes. The storyline grabs your heart and takes you on a few chuckles when Dean & Sandra meet for the first time. From there you are taken on a roller coaster ride with a set of precocious twins-Brittany & Bethany-as they plot out a romance between their uncle and their tutor. You don't know whether to laugh, cry or just shake your head as this duo strives to carry out their various modes of playing Cupid. A beautiful story that does an excellent job of portraying God's Grace and Eternal Love.
I am an ARC reader for this author, but I read this book with my KU subscription. This is my voluntary and honest review.
This was a good story about discovering who you are in this world. Sandra was a fly by the seat of her pants kind of lady. She had a good college education, and could be a teacher or any other jobs. She really just floated around the country until a friend told her about a tutor position in town. She went to apply to Dean Napier. He had custody of his two nieces after their parents had been killed. Dean’s mother had been helping care for them but she decided to take a trip. Theirs was astruggle but love finally found its way to their hearts . Sandra found her found way to Fox with Dean’s help. Enjoy their story.
I loved this sweet and clean romance! The main characters, Dean and Sandra, were interesting and likable characters, and I enjoyed the interactions between them, as well as the matchmaking antics of Dean’s twin nieces. There were lessons to be learned by all of them, and little nuggets of wisdom and faith interwoven throughout the story. I received a copy of this book from the author, and I haven’t read a story by Ms. Aarsen so far that I haven't liked. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series as soon as it comes out.
This was so good! Sandra was always running away from what her Father had wanted for her, and she was drowning in bad choices because of it. Dean had guardianship of his twin nieces and was determined they were going to have a more structured childhood, nothing like his. Sandra became the tutor for the twins because Dean was desperate. Two lonely hearts find each other when they finally stop running from their destiny. If you like clean, heartfelt stories, look no further. I highly recommend 'The Way Back to Faith'. I received this book from publisher. The thoughts and comments are my own.
I loved this book about the romance between Sandra and Dean. I really enjoyed the antics of Dean's twin girls, Brittany and Bethany, and all the things they did to get Dean and Sandra together after Dean hired Sandra to be the private tutor for the twins. Sandra had a falling out with her Dad after her mother died and she was struggling with her faith in God until she met Dean and the twins. I highly recommend this wonderful Christian romance. I received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.
Dean, their Uncle, is given custody of the twins, Bethany and Brittany, when their parents die in an accident He notices the girls are behind in their studies, so he hires a tutor suggested by his mother. Sandra is a proven tutor, but Dean isn't so sure. Dean also is a Faith filled man and Sandra has drifted away from God. Can Dean trust Sandra? Can Sandra return to God? Will their be enough romance for them to fall in love and have a happily ever after? MG
The Way Back to Faith is an inspirational, heartwarming romance. The twins steal the show although some of their schemes backfire. The wonderful characters include an uncle out of his depth when he inherits his twin nieces, a young woman looking for a place to belong and the aforementioned twins. Well written with Mx. Aarsen's usual grace, and understanding, this sweet book grabbed my interest on page one and never let go.
This is a story of a young woman who is unsure of what she wants to do with her life, all she knows is that her father kicked her out when she refused to use her degree to get a good job. She left her Faith and everything else to goon a journey to find what she could do with her life to make enough money to make ends meet. This is my review and mine alone. Norma Gorrill
When Sandra Bachman took the job of tutoring Dean Napiers twin neices, she had no idea what was in store for her. Intially Dean was not thrilled about hiring her and thought she had no real goals in her life. This all changed for the better as she only regained her faith but the love of a strict,no nonsense sort of guy and two very normal teenage girls. This very well may be the best story this author has written and will tug at your heart and for sure leave a warm fuzzy feelingin your heart.
In this book a couple learn to accept each others' differences, and to realize the awesome reality of God's love. It is only by faith that we can know God, not who or what we are. I enjoyed the romance between Dean and Sandra, who struggle to teach his orphaned twin nieces about love and what is really important in life.
This was a wonderful story. I really enjoyed reading it. I don’t think Carolyne Aarsen is capable of writing a bad story. The characters in the story were described so realisticly that it was easy to picture them. I always can apply the lessons from God that the characters in he story discover about themselves to my own life.
A lovely story about faith and showing others that we can find God, even in our sorrow. A young man who takes on his sister's twins is someone to be admired! Loved this story!
Thought provoking and enjoyable read, Sandra is struggling under a load of debt and unhappiness Dean has the responsibility for his twin nieces. They try to resist the attraction they feel towards each other. The story plays it beautifully to a happy w
This book's storyline was okay. I liked the Christian ✝️ theme in this story. Logan's character was okay. I think Logan was judgemental. Sandra's character was okay. I liked Brittany & Bethany. I liked the ending.
Sandra and Dean both jump to conclusions about each other. Just like you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, you shouldn't made snap decisions or jump to conclusions about someone before you get to know them. Dean frustrated because of the way he perceived Sandra based on what he thought he knew. There was self discovery, forgiveness given and accepted, romance, reconciliation as well as learning how to see oneself and others as the Lord does. The twins were pretty funny trying to play matchmakers. The angst broke my heart but the reunion was so very sweet.
Carolyne Aarsen has written yet another clean Christian romance. The Way Back to Faith is the second in Ms. Aarsen's Aspen Valley Homecoming.
The story begins with Dean Napier getting custody of his twin nieces after their parents are killed. Dean, an aspiring architect wants stability for the twins, Bethany and Brittany. Seeing that they are behind in their studies and Dean is single, he desperately needs a tutor for the girls. In comes Sandra, the tutor, who has been hired by Dean's mother. Dean is not certain that Sandra is the right person for the job but the twins quickly bond with her. Thus begins the girls decision to play matchmaker.
This is really a cute, lovable, well written story of love and a return to faith.
This was a fun read, although it dealt with problems of learning to be comfortable with other people's differences from one's own. The twins were particularly mischievous but never malicious; they just wanted to liven up their uncle's life. I usually enjoy Carolyne Aarsen's books.
