This recipe book offers a delicious variety of dump cakes to make! I was impressed by the different yummy cakes that seem so easy to prepare!
I would've liked this recipe book more if pictures had accompanied at least some of the recipes. I also would have liked if the writing style was consistent throughout. It seemed like different people wrote different recipes. Some recipes are missing important details/steps such as oven temperature, cooking time, pan size, preparation instructions, and ingredients. I also think the format could have been more inviting by using different font sizes and styles and utilizing spacing techniques.
I appreciated the author's attempt at the beginning of each recipe to get readers excited about it by giving a description of the cake. That added a personal element to the book so it wasn't just recipes. I also appreciated the gluten free, low carb, and low sugar alternatives. This book really does offer a great selection of recipes!
When I make these cakes, I will need to simply use common sense to "fix" some of the recipes and hope I do it correctly. I will definitely use these recipe ideas and can't wait to share the finished products!
