"OK, but not inspiring"

This was patchy. Some parts were exciting; other parts dragged unless you are into lots of military jargon. There were lighter moments that made me laugh. On the whole I struggled to finish it. Perhaps the story line didn't interest me enough to really engage.

Pure escapism, I enjoyed this, the first in the series, a quick and easy read, now on to the second in the series
