This was good but unfortunately, I was looking for more. I wanted more grovel, more dialogue between the two MCs. But it didn't happen, especially the grovel part especially since Westin betrayed her not once but thrice. Yes, you read that correctly. Three times:back when they were in high school, the first time they sort of reconciled and then when Scarlett finally had let him in only to find out that everything was a big sham.
I guess I shouldn't blame Westin since Scarlett didn't give him a chance to grovel. Not when she practically rolled over for him the moment he came back into her life again. *dramatic sigh*

Don't like leaving bad reviews......
But the cost of this book warrants it. Sorry to the author I know you put a lot of work into it but it did not warrant the cost for the book. hardly any real dialogue, no serious discussions of their situation just other pointless scenes to fill the pages.

When it comes to you is an emotional second chance romance. It features Scarlett and Westin. THey were high school sweethearts until Westin leaves suddenly for college without telling Scarlett why. It's been ten years and a chance encounter at a wedding brings back all of the emotions Scarlett thought she let go.
I did enjoy this one. I loved Scarlett and her willingness to not put up with anything less than she deserved. Even if it meant walking away form the man she loved. I cheered her on in that scene with her father! Westin needed to do a lot to win me over. His grand gesture though at the end left me with good feeling that this couple would make it. I definitely recommend this one.

She never planned to return to her hometown however she didn’t want to disappoint her best friend on her wedding day, but she never expected that it would bring her first and only love back into her life.
Westin and Scarlett fell in love as teenagers until he left town a decade earlier with no explanation or further contact. When they see each other again the sparks fly but will they be able to overcome the fallout once all the truths and secrets have been revealed?
There is no denying the chemistry between them however I did question a couple of Westin’s choices and Scarlett’s reaction to them but in the end they proved that they belonged together.

The heart wants what the heart wants, even sometimes if it isn't good for you and this is true for Scarlett and Westin, he was a bit of a serial cheated, and now Scarlett has her life back, moved as far away as she good and life is good until she to come home and her feelings for Westin resurfacing again.
The storyline is good, but I just wanted some more meat on the bone.

This book was given to me as an ARC for an honest review. I’m always excited to read another book by Melissa Toppen.
The main character Scarlett is back in hometown in California to be her childhood best friends maid of honor but before the wedding she runs into Westin.
He was the the love of her life but one day just up & left. Now eight years later here he is at her best friends wedding. We can say the meeting was awkward and Scarlett is still hurt & angry. But that doesn’t stop him from pursuing her at the wedding and they eventually talk then kiss and have a passionate night. She thinks she’s seen the last of him as she’s back in Maine where she now lives. Then one night while she’s walking beck home there he is sitting on her steps waiting. Is this the new beginning she’s thought of many times?
This story also gives you some of of the back story of their past. You feel Westin is wanting to be with her again and many ways shows & tells her, but there’s something he’s not forthcoming about. Once Scarlett let’s her self fall in love again she finds out about a huge reveal. This story is an emotional rollercoaster.
Once again Melissa gave us story with lots of angst but love wins in the end. There’s hurt, healing, love and forgiveness. Loved the epilogue ❤️

I really enjoyed this book. Claimed by You was about a girl who needed to make a life for herself. She didn't want her parents to decide her future. Scarlett had been burned before. So her decision to move away from her parents, and the guy that broke her heart, came easy.
All settled in with her Aunt, who was more like a sister, Scarlet finally had a life to call her own. She became a co-owner of a bakery that her and her aunt had opened. She had it all.... Until one quick trip back home for a friends wedding changed it all.
Claimed by You was a pretty fast paced book. Once introduced to the character Westin, I did not trust him. I just had a bad feeling that he had something up his sleeve.
The emotional ride that was Claimed by You, will stick with me. Melissa had a way with her words. I read this story from start to finish in one sitting... I will say some surprising things happen that leave you with your mouth open saying "WTF".
All in all it was a great book, I'm happy I read it <3

The Cover was nice
It started out a little interesting but slowly it became what I call "a cliche" in the romance story. But I did not like the male role in this story. Westin leaves Scarlett with no word or explanation when they was teens. It starts with her seeing him again at a wedding 10 years later, and he wants to see here again. Scar runs from her family to make a life for her self and she doesn't want anything to do with them or Westin. Westin shows up and he feels untrustworthy and secretive. You really start off not liking him and it continues that way until the very end. She keeps taking him back after she discovers all the lies and deceit. Whatever? I'm just glad I finished it. Storyline: 2 Heat: 2.5

I adored this book, I loved everything about it how Scarlett left home to get away from her controlling parents especially her father who has played such a huge role in the hurt she has been caused. thankfully she's has her aunt and best friend to get her through it. Westin her teen sweetheart she has loved since she was 16 has turned up and turned her life upside down, this story has love heartbreak and friendship I loved how it was written and I loved the shock I got when she overhears a conversation that has the potential to ruin it all. Great book and look forward to reading many more from Melissa

I love Melissa Toppen, I'm always so excited to read one of her books and this one is no different. I received an advance copy for my honest review.

This book was so realistic that I felt I knew this couple personally. Love is never perfect and I would like to applaud Ms. Toppen on this incredible book. The fact that she even took the chance to write a book like this really impresses me. I cannot wait to see what else she has written and buy those too!

Hero is a cheater and a liar. Heroine is a spineless fool. I couldn’t relate to both characters. Westin left Scarlett a few hours after he took her virginity. He went to college without saying goodbye or looking back at her for the next 10 years. He tried to forget her with women and money. Clearly that worked out well, otherwise he would have found her again in those 10 years I would think. But no he never stopped thinking about her in those 10 years, yeah right. They meet again at a wedding and he’s all smitten with her. She gives in way too fast and falls back into bed with him. Even after he didn’t explain why he left her behind all those years ago, even after she finds out he works as a lawyer for her restrained father’s law firm, even after she finds out he is engaged to a woman named Kate and even after she overhears a conversation between him and her father where him pursuing her is all a plan to move her back to California. All he did was lying, even at the end I couldn’t believe a word he said was true. He also didn’t feel he cheated on his fiancée, because he didn’t love her. In what world is this guy living in? The heroine isn’t much better. Always running back to him as a love sick puppy, no matter how he treated (and still treats!) her. She has been dating a lovely guy named Carson, but hurts him badly by choosing the “hero”. Well, end of the story those 2 awful MC’s deserve each other.

When It Comes To You was an enjoyable story. In high school, Scarlett and Westin had been a couple yet it seemed easy for him to cheat on her more than once. Then after she allowed him to take her virginity, he disappeared from town without a word which obliterated her heart.
She also had very controlling parents who demanded she do things their way and not go after her own dreams. After high school she leaves town and moves across the country to Maine where she and her aunt go into business together.
Eight years have passed and her best friend is getting married so she travels back to where she grew up for the wedding. She plans to get in and out as soon as possible to keep from running into her parents. She never expected to see Westin again but she is completely surprised to see him at the ceremony.
The chemistry that once existed between them is just as strong as ever and before long she is back in his bed. There are other secrets he is keeping. I loved her but, for me, she really needed to make him work for it a lot more than she did. I don't know that I would have trusted his intentions.
Although there were things I didn't like, overall, it was still an enjoyable read and I would love to read some more of this author's work.

I have never picked up a book by melissa Toppen that I haven’t absolutely loved . She delivers a phenomenal story every single time . When it comes to you had me so entranced and invested in both Chloe and Weston from the very start . I genuinely loved their story so much Scarlet left home to get away from her controlling parents and all the heartache they caused her . She heads to California to attend her best friends wedding and comes face to face with the one person it took her so long to forget .Weston took everything from Scarlett ten years ago , he was her teen sweetheart, the person she loved since she was 16 years old . After the way he just walked out on her with no explanation and literally broke her heart, can she find it in her to forgive him . What a amazing love story , so emotional, full of chemistry, angst , moments that will have your heart breaking for Chloe and others you will find yourself rooting for them . I adored every single minute of this awesome story. If you love romances that have heartbreak, angst ,love , friendship and some shocking revelations then this is the perfect book for you ❤️

When it Comes to You is a fantastic read. I loved this one and could not put this down. You get this second (plus) roller coaster of a romance when it comes to Scarlett and Westin. You feel the pain radiating off both Westin and Scarlett from the past. Scarlett is so strong and her only weakness is her love for Westin. This could have been such a toxic relationship but Scarlett has such a backbone that she is not afraid to stand up to anyone when the time comes. You feel for her and the need to disappear from her home town and set out on her own. Westin you see so many sides of him that you will both love and hate. By the end you get such a clearer picture of what the heart wants and needs. All the hurt that Westin and Scarlett put themselves through is so worth it. You feel the passion and love even after all the years that separated them. I love all those will they or wont they moments that Melissa Toppen gives us. Toppen plays with the heart in such a fantastic beautiful way. You feel everything when it comes to Scarlett and Westin. Go one click this one today.

Scarlett is content with her quiet life, and she is a co-owner of a bakery with her aunt, who is more life a sister to her. When Scarlett returns home briefly to be a bridesmaid at her best friend’s wedding, she cross’ paths with Westin, who previously broke her heart. Westin is now a lawyer who is working for Scarlett’s fathers’ firm, and he is coping to become a partner in the future. Westin is determined not to let Scarlett slip through his fingers, but a long-distance relationship can be problematic. This is a well written story which is fast paced, and is emotionally charged, with betrayal, secrets, heartbreak, unconditional love, and is an entertaining and steamy addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

I really enjoyed ‘When it Comes to You.’ The story begins with Scarlett returning to the town she left eight years ago, for her best friends wedding. At the wedding she runs into her first love, the guy who broke her heart when he took her virginity and left town the next day, Westin. She tries to resist him, but fails. They spend the night together and she goes back to New York. Westin finds her and begins pursuing her. She loves being with him, but refuses to go back to their home town with him. So, how can they ever find a way to be together forever? I liked Scarlett. She was strong willed and did what made her happy. I thought she forgave Westin too easily, but who knows what I would’ve done in her situation? Westin seemed like-able. I liked how he put in the effort to be with her, but his sneakiness was off putting.
This was a well written story, moved quickly and was really enjoyable.

When it Comes to You is a second chance romance with a great deal of emotional ups and downs. Melissa has once again outdone herself.
Scarlett left her hometown, severing her relationship with her parents, to follow her own dreams versus what they thought she should do. She never thought she would return to her hometown until she was asked to be a bridesmaid in best friends wedding. Scarlett truly hoped to not run into her parents, it was her biggest concern going back home. What she didn't count on was running into Westin Carver, the boy who broke her heart.
Westin has changed, grown up and matured, and if possible is hotter than before. He vows to not lose her again and they rekindle that romance. Westin is very successful and begins to travel to Maine to visit her, and her bakery.
When it Comes to You is a fantastic story of love and friendship. The characters become part of your family and you root for them to the very end.
I would recommend this book.

"This is my first book by Melissa and I really enjoyed it. I thought it was well written with a great storyline. My only gripe admittedly would be that I felt Scarlett simply let Westin off the hook too easily. I wanted more angst, and I especially wanted to see Westin work harder for Scarlett's love after his betrayals were revealed - because there is more than just one!!
I am a sucker for a great epilogue. I need to know what happens next after they find their HEA, and this epilogue was everything I could have asked for. It did finish off the book nicely for me.

I was really excited to read this book, but once I started, as much as I tried, I couldn’t connect with the main characters Westin and Scarlett, and their story infuriated me.
It begins with Scarlett seeing her long lost love Westin after 10 years. He’s smitten and wants her back, she easily forgives, and on they are again.
Except, he once again is betraying her and forgot to mention certain points!
Additionally, he never explained, apologized or anything…then again why should he, she forgave him.
I liked the idea of this book, and if anything it should serve as a warning to young woman as a precautionary tale that some second chances are not worth it.
But you decide!
Then there was a surprising twist at the end that redeemed the story.
This book was originally written in 2014 with scenes altered.

I have to start out by saying that I'm a HUGE fan of Melissa Toppen, and have loved all the previous books that I've read, however, this story was a fat NO from me. In order for me to enjoy a romance story, I have to warm up to the hero at some point, and Westin was useless & a lying liar until it was just about over so I never warmed up to him not even once. And Scarlett, she was a doormat when it came to him, as he not only destroyed her teenage heart ten years in the past, but he keeps doing it throughout the story. She should have never ever ended up in bed with him after that first time (I can overlook that first time) especially when she learned of his lying liar ways so I just wasn't impressed with her either. I'm going to keep this review short & sweet because it really bothers me to give this review so just decide for yourselves. {3.5 STARS}

I have liked everything that Melissa Toppen writes. That being said this one was okay. Great storyline for the most part. Scarlett could have stood to be a stronger character where Westin is concerned. Westin on the other hand made me kinda want to choke him. They started as high school sweethearts for him to just disappear on her out of the blue one day. Poof, just gone. And to say that he was good to her back then, not so much. I wanted to like him, thinking that he would be a changed man after nearly a decade. Well, not so much, if anything there was more deceit. And some wows 😳 Then there is the shadiness where he is connected with her dad. And I wanted to like Scarlett too. But she needed to demand some respect from Westin and not be so forgiving. If this were real life I’d be doubting their HEA. 4⭐️. I just wanted to like it better.
