Hi, I'm Ryan! I was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada in 1980 and since then have written several books. You can read my Wikipedia page for more, or check out my author site at RyanNorth.ca!

I'm the author of the webcomic Dinosaur Comics (that's the comic where the pictures don't change but the words do, it's better than it sounds and I've also done crazy things like turn Shakespeare into a choose-your-own-path adventure, write a comic for Marvel about a girl with all the powers of a squirrel, or mess up walking my dog so badly it made the news.

I'm working on more stuff as we speak, hopefully it's good

Doom is King!

Let me just say this, if Doom truly planned all of this out, he’s even more of a mastermind than I thought possible. Ryan North has done an absolutely superb job with this series thus far. I already can’t wait for August. When issue number six comes out. My son and I love Dr. Doom and we are loving the series.

It’s absolutely insane that Ryan North wrote this MONTHS ago and to read that “the latest viral dance challenge, the “Doctor Victor Von Dab,” has led to several youth being expelled from their schools after they refused Tobago performing the move” and then reading in the news that a 21 year old was denied access into America because of a meme of JD Vance.

“We can’t forget that Doemammu’s banishment will last as long as Doom’s rule does — great motivation for keeping doom in power, as if we needed it!” Oh fuck this bitch. Fuck him.

ANNA MARIE AND JOHNNY IN A PANEL TOGETHER??? PLEASE PLEASE RYAN LET THEM INTERACT AGAIN

not Thor being MAGA 😭

R.B Silvia you’re so cunty for making Johnny cover his face so I can’t see his mustache

3,5/5. So far, the best of the series. Doom has a hard time trying to defeat Dormammu, and this version of the archfiend is more powerful to me than previous ones that defeated Doctor Strange. In the end wits and guile triumph, while heroes "meditate" about the "goodness" that Doom has brought into the world. Hopefully the promises for the next chapter are worth the wait.

Great issue, great conclusion to the first half of this year of Doom. I know some will be upset about Thor’s little speech, but I thought it was fantastic, and perfectly in character for him all things considered.

One World Under Doom (2025-) #5

The aftermath of Doom's battle with the dark side .
Doom is again one step a head of Earth's enemies.
The artwork and storyline is superb. Once you think
you have the plot figured out your thrown a curve ball.

Really great issue. The fight with Dormamu concludes and then we get some really good dialogue about what Doom is and isn't. Add a cliffhanger that's exciting and fabulous art and you have an event that is fully firing on all cylinders.

Admittedly a bit of a filler issue outside of the confrontation with Dormammu, but the dialogue between Thor and Tony in the latter half of the issue is really well done, and R.B. Silva's artwork is a standout throughout as always! 7/10 ✨️

Doom has won, and Thor is on his side. Tony seems to be the only holdout, but there is always something in the closet. What a cliffhanger.

Now this is what an Avengers comic should be, clever Doom playing the Hero except he does it so good even the heroes are questioning if it's an act.
