Metamorphosis

Cameron Pierce is an overachiever—CEO of Regional Bank, force to be reckoned with in the Boardroom, and beautiful to boot. At 24, an earth-shattering event set her life goals. But is she fulfilled? Idolized by those around her she’s—kind, forceful, intelligent, driven, and successful. Cam is surrounded by close friends and consumed by her career.

At first glance, Dax Cooper appears to be a playboy—carefree, cocky, arrogant, and devoid of intelligent thought but sexy with a face and a body that drive women crazy. Cameron believes in this façade when he continually manages to walk right past her gatekeeper with constant interruptions. He is everything she doesn’t like in a male. Unlike Cam, Dax has walked away from a talent and a life that had been his passion in exchange for family and friends. Unmotivated by money and a career, he too is embarking on change.

Tragedy strikes Cameron for the second time in her life. Attacked by a stranger, in an instant, her life, her psyche, and the essence of her being appear to be permanently scarred at best. If she survives the physical injuries, will she survive the mental trauma?

Metamorphosis is the story of a woman’s struggle to regain her confidence and repair her shattered life following a random, brutal attack. With the help of the man she had pushed away, she chooses the path that she will follow for the rest of her life. She undergoes a metamorphosis—not by choice but by the will to survive.

This is a tough review to write purely because I didn't hate it and I didn't love it so I've chosen a result in between.

I have to start by saying that I didn't love Cameron's character and, while I know she has suffered through a lot her character confused me. For starters at the beginning of the story, she was this big shot CEO, later she was this wholly dependent of her boyfriend girl. I realise that the change is due to what happened to her but it was such a drastic change that it didn't sit well with me.

I loved Dax's character though. He was totally alpha and right up my street although, I don't think I would have submitted like Cameron did.

I enjoyed the storyline and the issues it raised and touched upon and it was done in a tasteful way. I just didn't like how quick things changed. I get different things and issues are not the same for everyone and each person deals with these things in his or her own way it just seemed rushed. It might just be me. The story is well written and deals with very real issues and ways in which people cope with them.

I loved the secondary characters and obviously they will get their own stories. I will read more by this author because I did enjoy this story.

Happy Reading :-)

I was lucky enough to get a sneak peak at this incredible story about love, trust, and rebuilding yourself after unthinkable violence. The power of love and commitment bleeds off the pages and you can't help but feel the emotions of the characters. Stephie did an incredible job handling this storyline.

I was lucky enough to read a ARC of Matamorphosis. This book was one of the most beautiful books I've read in a long time. Meet Cameron Pierce, she is a CeO of a bank, excels at everything she does and needs to be in control at all times. Everyone wants to be her. Meet Dax Cooper. He appears to be the typical badboy with a crappy job but an amazing body. Dax wants Cameron but she can't see past his looks or job. He leys it be known that he wants Cameron but she blows him off. Then tradgey strikes Cameron and she is badly injured physically and mentally. Because of this Cameron undergoes a Metamorphosis. She learns that Dax's appearance is very deceiving and just maybe they can have a relationship if she can heal from her tradgey.
In the beginning of this book I wasnt a fan of Cameron. I thought she was a uptight bitch who couldn't get over herself. But once I got to read her transformation I grew to enjoy her character. Dax is an amazing character, he's talented musically, hot, sexy Dom, caring, protective, and takes amazing care of Cameron. Metamorphosis is a woman's complete transformation after tradgey strikes and she open's her eyes to all the things/people that she's been over looking before. Stephie Walls's Metamorphosis is a emotionally charged read and I couldn't put it down. I'm looking forward to the other character's stories.

Dax and Cam... I don't know what to say about them that will make you understand the depth of their story.
Cam she is a ball busting CEO and prides herself on control. There are reasons behind this persona she has made for herself, and when that control is ripped away from her, she crumbles, denies, lashes out but with Dax she finally begins to take that control back.
Dax, he has had loss in his life, that made him take stock of the type of person he wants to be, and the person he wants in his life, which is Cam.
Their love story and heartbreak isn't typical. You have the push and pull, but there are so many other elements in this book. The power exchange, the solace, the grief.... There are two parts in this book that I felt it in my bones, literally. I was reading and I had an "aha" moment that put everything in perspective for me, and in those chapters a greater connection and level of understanding of these two souls was reached.
It isn't all hearts and flowers, but what great love story is?
I can't wait to read about the others in this book, and Stephie Walls knows how to write and keep you wanting more.

What a great read. Im not into the bdsm (its not the centerpoint of story) thing but i thought it was interesting how the author used it as not only a way for the couple to express themselves sexually but also a vehicle to help them deal w/ h's recovery. The mc's r absolutely wonderful and i enjoyed seeing the relationship grow and unfold. The h is strong yet vulnerable, humorous and a fighter. And Dax? Dreamy and everything the h needs and deserves-whether she likes it or not-lol.

On a side note, i usually do not critique book covers but this one, well, i think it belittles the beauty of this book. It looks like many many other rom covers and well, this book is above that. Just saying.

Once in a while i discover a great author that leaves me wondering, "why havnt i heard of her before???" And of course such is the case for this author. Her writing flows smoothly like a good whiskey-u want to sip and savor. Each sip filled w/ flavor and purpose. I wish i was a book blogger or someone w/ alotta followers because i would definitely be encouraging readers to read this author. But Im excited to have discovered her and look forward to reading more of her works and spreading the word whenever i can. I am a fan!

It is probably unfair for me to rate this as I did not finish it. Gave up around half way. I loved Dax, however it all just seemed a little too unreal. Who falls in love with someone that quickly. Dax had an infatuation and wanted to own it. I love a guy who knows what he wants, even a bossy one, but I just didn’t buy into this. Cameron was not the type of heroine I like to read either... So I did not stick it out. I am sure the romance would have been good, and Dax would have shined, but I just lost interest. I will read another from this author as I think she is quite talented, just not this subject matter.

I am not sure why I haven't read this book till now as I love books by this author. Cam and Dax's story isn't easy and was what I have come to expect and love about this author, an emotional roller coaster of beautiful writing. Stephie Walls tackles a very difficult subject, in a very respectful and tasteful manner in my opinion. I thought booth main characters were likeable, relatable and willing to bend to help the other cope with the unthinkable. The secondary characters were amazing and who wouldn't want a tribe like that in their corner. Looking forward to reading Compass and hoping for a slight glimpse into what is happening with Dax and Cam

Remarkable

I was truly blown away by this story. The characters were real and I got pulled into the story. This story is about a sexual assault and the way Dax and Cam come to grips with it. An unbelievably emotional story. This is the first book I have read by Stephie Walls, but not the last...

Heart breaking & poignant story

I love Dax he is just the perfect boyfriend! He just adored and loved Cam unconditionally. He is her rock and strength. His light at her most darkest days. He keeps Cam grounded and strong when she feels she can no longer hold on. I just love their story and how Dax never gave up on her.

Cameron (Cam) is the CEO of a Bank. She has worked her way into being the best of everything. Her family is gone; killed in an accident. Cameron only has herself and her Fishes; her 3 best girl friends. Cam takes control and likes control. Her life is going well and its “organized.” She knows exactly what her day holds until a man named Dax Cooper saunters into her life. After telling her assistant Julie that she needs to quit allowing that man to come into her office Dax makes it known that isn’t going to happen. Cam overhears a conversation between Julie and Dax realizing they know each other well. She also wonders how Dax can appear so soft when speaking with Julie but dominant when speaking with her. Not giving in to his demands and standing him up Cam has no idea why this man has sat by her side in the hospital. This man she wanted nothing to do with may be her angel and the only person that can save her from the blackness that threatens to consume her.

Dax Cooper fluttered to earth from heaven on a cloud ladies. Good lord. This man has the patience of a saint and is your prince charming, alpha male and shining knight on a horse all wrapped up in a delicious bow for your pleasure. Thank goodness there are more Cooper men but we will get to that later. Oh and a hunky police officer named Fisher. WHOOP WHOOP! Dax refuses to leave Cam’s side after her attack. Dax doesn’t know everything that happened to Cam that night but he knows it was brutal. No one will touch Cam again. Dax has suffered his own loss and he will make sure Cam is safe for the rest of her life no matter what she says she is his.

Stephie has written an absolutely beautiful story around a crime that is considered somewhat taboo, is ignored at times and victims are afraid to come forward and get help. I love the word choice in the last sentence of a particular chapter … Stephie uses the word “survivor.” Such a powerful word. There are many vile scenes in this book so if you have triggers to rape or violent crimes I wouldn’t recommend reading Metamorphosis.

You all know I love reading dark books and yes this is a dark book BUT along with the genre you get the honor of reading such books as the one Stephie gave us. Yes its fiction but the topic is not. Stephie has turned something so horrific into a story that gives me hope for victims. I don’t turn a blind eye to any topic or subject in dark reads. I have been more enlightened in crimes and the victim’s hell by reading stories like Metamorphosis. There is also an amazing love story intertwined on these pages. A love and commitment so great that we wish we all had someone like Dax standing beside us.

I highly recommend this book. But please do head the warning of the topic. I hope that as a reader if you know someone who has been violated in any way you will read this story and realize there is hope and there are people out there who care. People who do want you to find your wings.

Bravo Stephie Walls! Thank you for gifting me this incredible read. Now .. hummm … One more thing … well a few more things .. Im hoping that you are going to give us books that will continue with this dynamic group of characters. There are three more Cooper men we certainly wouldn’t mind reading about; Moby, Brooks and Landis. Then we have the Wright family with Joey who is Moby’s best friend, Jacob is Brook’s sidekick and Julie who is Landis’ supposed best friend but Im sure there is a story there in the making .. hint hint .. maybe? … Don’t forget Fisher … yup we need to know about him and all of Cam’s Fishes. I saw some hints making this a possibility. I know the perfect newest fan of yours that would love to see these peeps again!

This is the story of Cameron and Dax and I have to say the pulse that flowed between them from start to finish was electrifying
Cameron – or known as Cam is a very powerful woman, she is super successful and holds power not only in her position as CEO of a bank but also in all things personal. But is her need for control masking her true desires or does she actually know what she needs?
Dax on the other hand was the complete antithesis and this confident, kind man is also set in his ways but he owes his demeanour, he oozes not only determination but domination and he refuses to change his ways for her.
But when she needs someone the most, following a particularly nasty attack, it is Dax that steps up to be there for her. When she eventually opens her eyes it is his face that she sees and it stuns her to discover that Dax has been at her side the entire time.
Cam is blown away by his actions, she is not usually on the receiving end of such unsolicited kindness and she cannot help but to re-evaluate the way she has looked and treated the man, is there more to Dax than she had credited him with?
They begin to get to know each other and when she is released from the hospital she reluctantly takes Dax up on his offer to stay with him while she continues to recuperate. Now I felt for her at this point because she really wasn’t 100% certain that it was such a smart move but she went with the general consensus of all those around her.
Perhaps they could see that Dax was someone that would bring their friend out of her shell and show her what she was missing in life.
The title of the book was well suited to the storyline, it perfectly depicted the changed that Cam was going through as her body healed and her heart and soul searched for the something more that she had been missing all her life - A love that truly was unconditional and complete.
Dax was the perfect man for her, he was, as I have said earlier the antithesis of everything she had been. Yes, he was a dominant man and Yes he point blank refused to yield control to her and Yes, looked for her to be the one to change her ways but maybe he had her pegged right, because just maybe he knew that this strong powerful woman needed to relinquish control in this aspect of her life in order to feel peace.
And Dax was prepared to wait her out, his patience and determination are eventually rewarded when further down the line, she eventually took the decision to trust him to be the man she needed and she put herself in his hands.
I loved Cam, I admired her dogged determination and her willingness to move on. She was a strong woman who despite her pain, picked herself up off the floor and moved on.
Dax on the other hand was just the sort of man that I like to read in a book, he knew literally from the minute he saw Cam that she was the woman for him and he played a slow steady game and made sure that Cam saw that his intensions were clear and that he would be the man that she needed.
The book took a great scenario and played it out in such a way that I have to say it was a refreshing twist from the norm.
I loved the story, I adored the characters and I was rooting for them from almost the first page – a glorious read told in an original manner.

I loved the dynamic between Cameron and Dax right from the beginning. Cameron “Cam” is a CEO of a bank, and tries to maintain control in all aspects of her life. Dax is a deliveryman who gets under her skin and refuses to bend to her demands. But then one night Cameron is brutally attacked and end up in the hospital, where Dax has been there the whole time. Upon waking, and when realizes that he has been there the whole time, she is completely astonished. But as they get to know each other, she realizes there is more to Dax than her initial impression. When she is released from the hospital she goes and stays with Dax, even though that is not what she wants but everyone in her life thinks it for the best.

Metamorphosis is to be the changing of an empty shelled woman, into someone who has survived a horrific ordeal, and blossoms into a better person with the love and guidance of those who love her. Dax is her calm, protector, and her partner in every sense. But with him she has to trust him and give that to him as he is a Dom and wants her to be his Sub. Over months of living together, she gives him that trust knowing that he would never hurt her, even though she tries to fight it.

I loved the storyline and how Stephie played to the strengths of the characters, and makes you feel for what Cam is going through as she recovers from her attack and how it all plays out in the book. Cam is the true definition of a survivor, even when she has her setbacks, she simply picks back up and moves forward, even though at times it absolutely scares her. Dax I fell in love with from the beginning. He knew that she was going to be the one for him, and he went after her, wanting her heart, soul, and body. But he was also patient and compassionate and helped Cam in her journey of recovering, being the pillar of strength that she needed. Even in their Dom/Sub relationship, he gives her confidence back, through one scene that you definitely have to read to find out what it meant to both of them.

I give this book 5 stars because it could have followed the usual formula most found nowadays in the BDSM world, but it didn’t. The book is truly about the changing of a woman who never believed that she would find someone who could tame her and be the protector that she desperately wants, into a woman who is butterfly in the truest sense of the word. She emerged from her cocoon, or bubble world where nothing bad happened to her, into a world where she found love, and everything she ever wanted in Dax, who helped her make the progression. She is a survivor and what she does to get through her trauma is truly astounding. Once I started reading I could not put it down, finishing it in one day. I want more books like this that have the heroine character show her strengths and weaknesses, but the strengths shine through more and you see the change into a better person than from the beginning of the book. I will definitely be reading more of Stephie Walls in the future, as this book really spoke to me personally.

3.5 stars for me.
I received a copy in exchange for an honest review. This is a story about a woman, Cam, who suffers a brutal attack and the man, Dax, who helps her recover and reconnect with her inner strength. Liked the story, but felt it was undeveloped. We find out that Dax, a Dom, has been watching her for a year, going so far as to tell his friends about her, and he even ceased sexual relations while pursuing her.... other than declining packages he attempts to personally deliver to her as a UPSish delivery guy, she has no idea who he is. I found it creepy he was so invested in her without her knowledge and without really knowing her. We never really do find out why and when he became enamored of her. I found it odd he stayed with her at the hospital after her attack and that she went home with him from the hospital. HE'S A STRANGER! They enter into a Dom/Sub relationship, initially without having sex, he just takes control of her well-being and she submissively let's him. There are random jumps in time. It's two month, then it's six months. And, neither of them are working, just getting to know each other. Her girl posse is ok with their broken friend living with a male stranger after a brutal attack. There is also installed-love between them. These things impacted my rating. I did like how sweet he was to her, and his musical background was intriguing. I also liked that he was riding the line of selfish and selfless (he wanted her, no one else could have her- but he was the only person she felt at peace with and he put her needs first)...and the secondary characters were awesome. I also liked how she triumphed and turned what happened to her into an opportunity to help others and find her purpose. There were times I found myself skimming paragraph after paragraph of description though. When the author used dialogue instead to explain events, it was a better read. Interesting story, overall pretty good.

As you read the coming together of Dax and Cam you can feel the love and commit flow from the page and have you emphasize with them. Their story is complex in nature. She a CEO who wants control and when it is taken from her she fall apart and Dax is the only one that has been able to help her get that control back.

Dax on a journey to find something to hold meaning in his life. He's on a journey of self discovery and trying to find someone to be with. He feels this is cam. Their story isn't your typical read of heartbreak and love. There's exchanges of power that are soul searing grief and solace in each other. When you finally see the moment in which these two souls mate as one and get a deeper more meaningful connection it will be felt in so many ways just flow off the page and ease into your being.

Dax was an intriguing character with many sides one being his selfish and selfess side that had him dueling with himself. His love and desire for Cam was seen no matter what. His protective side comes out as he gets closer to Cam.

My issue with Cam at first was she judged the book by its cover. Dax deserved to be seen for more than his looks and job and Cam was too caught up in those to see what was really there. But when tragedy strikes and she needs someone for she undergoes a change a metamorphosis it is dax who helps her. She sees that appearances are deceiving and gives Dax the chance. As you see her transform you begin to like her and see the depth that she has.

Metamorphosis is about a woman's transformation after tragedy occurs in her life and she sees that not everything is as it seems on the outside. She sees that there is depth to everything and everyone and you really shouldn't judge things by the outer decorations.

Stephie Walls's Metamorphosis is a emotionally charged read that will enthrall you to want more. it tackles some serious topics and does it with grace and the respect that it deserves.

When I signed up for this ARC I thought it would be a book about a woman overcoming a major obstacle and find love in the process. But this book was so much more than that. Stephanie Walls took a topic that most people won't touch with a ten foot pole and portrayed it in the right light. Rape is such a dirty word to most people. You know it happens but it's something you and others don't want to fully accept is real. On top of that she added BDSM. I will admit I would have never thought about adding the two together in one book, but Stephanie nailed it.

Dax saw a beautiful woman who he wanted to submit to him. Cameron saw Dax as a gorgeous man who had nothing going for him. But much to her surprise he was more than what met her eye. He is the perfect example of why not to judge one by there looks.

After Cam was raped Dax never left her side. He was her saving grace. He held her hand every step of the way while getting her life back. In the process of healing they fond love.

They started the Healing Wings non-profit organization to help rape victims. Basically they took her really horrible experience and turned it into a positive.

Cameron had an amazing support system backing her. Too many rapes go unreported because the victim feels ashamed. If you or someone you know has been raped please report it and press charges. Don't be ashamed because it happened, and your not to blame. I don't give books a 5 star rating, an author always has ways to grow and better each story. But this time I will give Metamorphosis a 4.5, bravo Stephanie Walls.

This was my first Stephie Walls novel. It won't be my last.
I went in blind with Metamorphosis and had no idea what the story was about. I enjoyed the characters and the plot. I felt the characters were well developed and fit well with the story. I felt Walls dealt with the tragedies and sensitive nature dealing with Cameron's character sincerely and with a rawness that was real, unfiltered yet sensitive and considerate.
Dax, was a strong figure yet he didn't unbalance the story with his presence. While domineering, I felt he was thoughtful, intelligent, sexy as all get out and even had a vulnerable side to him. There were quite a few awww and swoon moments throughout this book. I also hope that Walls, writes about Dax's brothers. The Cooper boys are definitely worth a series.
What made this less than a 5 star read for me were the use of certain words to describe Cameron's vagina. Words like glory spot and flower. Those two words specifically really don't work for me in any book nor in any reference to the female sex. That being said, they were not used in abundance and did not overshadow the story.
I should mention, what I enjoyed most about this story was how Walls wrote Dax's character and gave insight to the integral part that made who he was as a character. I felt she did her research and didn't glamourize or 'Hollywood-ize' it. It seemed it was more of a more genuine and organic account of that part of Dax's character, making those scenes incredibly sensual, emotional and beautiful.
Overall, the story was strong, intense, beautiful and well worth a one-click.

Cameron “ Cam” Pierce is structured, strong and take charge type of women. She is a CEO of a successful bank. Cameron, still in her early twenties she feels there is something missing. Cam has a lot of wonderful people in her life. Her life is filled with great friends and amazing co-workers. When Cam meets her opposite her so “perfect” life with be faced with an emotional roller coaster.

Dax Cooper is smart, handsome and carefree. Well, that’s what he would like everyone believe that. Dax goals are a total 360 than Cameron’s. She believes working hard and career is first number one priority he loves family and friend.

When stranger suddenly attacks Cameron, she feels broken, lost, and hurt. When the scars goes away the emotionally inner pain becomes to be so much,. Will she turn to one person she pushed away. Will that be enough?

Stephie Walls novel titled Metamorphosis. This is the first novel I read from this author. I really enjoyed the plot of this story. This writer is good at pulling the reader in and making it stick. Cameron is a successful CEO. She is a take charge type of woman. She likes things her way. She loves her life, but it's lacking something: a partner.

Dax is dominant in every way. He tells you and doesn't ask. He is down to earth and trustworthy.

Cam meets Dax when he delivers her a package at work. She is instantly drawn to him but doesn't give it away. Dax sees something in her that he can't ignore.

A tragic experience has Cam scared. Realizing that Dax was there for her and never left, has her wanting him around. He is the only one that can keep light when darkness engulfs her. He tries to get her to life again without pushing her.

What happens when the one person you didn't want to get close to, is a reason to live again?

This book. ... completely blew me away. I was so mind f**ked it isn't even funny!!! One part I was like, "Nuh uh. No effing way!!!" I just couldn't believe what I was reading! This is the first book I've read from this author, but let me tell you, I am ecstatic to read more by here!! This book was amazing!! It us bot your typical romance lovey dovey book, but you WILL fall in love with this book!! Great job Stephie!

5 out of 5 amazing stars!!

I had no idea when I ordered this book what it was about, I hadn't even seen the cover, which might have given me a clue. It was only when I got it out of the pack and saw the warning on the back cover about it being explicit, I began to worry. Usually these books are all about the sex with a thin tapered story. Boring after you read one or two. But I hold up my hands, this one was a brilliant story. Nothing explicit until about 3/4 of the way into the book. By then I had got to know the characters and I really liked them. I hadn't expected this book to have such a gripping storyline or it to have bene as well written as it was. In essence is a romantic love story at heart.

Cameron is attacked and raped and Dax is the one that looks after her and helps her to recover. I don't want give anything away, but I can say Dax is a gorgeous creature and all he wants in life is to make Cameron better. As for the explicit bit, well, I raised both eye brows as it took me to a world I knew nothing about it. Think 50 Shades, is all I can say, but of the two, this is the best. After all, you can enjoy a good crime story without wanting to commit a crime!!

I loved Cam, she is the kind of woman we all need to be!! She is cut throat and doesn't take shit from no one, that is until a certain cocky, sexy as sin man waltzes into her life. Cam is not looking for love. She is absolutely content living her life her way, and spending her free time with her friends. But when tragedy strikes can Dax, the cocky, sexy as sin man, help heal her and show her everyone needs love in their life? Cam has never depended on someone to take care of her and after the hell she is put through she needs to come to terms with herself, that everyone needs help some time in their lives. I love the relationship between Cam and Dax, it's not all love and sunshine, they have to work for what they have. It's not easy, especially for Cam. I think Stephie did an amazing job of writing such a beautiful story. I cant' wait to read more about the other people in the story!! 5 stars for me!!

This is one amazing book. Not only is it well written, you tell
the author did the research on this one. I love that Dax is
there for her even though she has turned him down at the
start. Shows true devotion as their dynamic changes as they
both go through a Metamorphosis. Yes the story centers On
Cam but as you go you see a change in Dax too. I do need to
say that this story dose have its sad, tearful moments. But is
totally worth the read. Just keep those tissues handy, you will
need them. Now as to not ruin the story plot I will end here.
just know if you know someone in need of help with a
situation like this there is one place I personal recommend
and that is RAINN Rape, Abuse, Incest, National Network.
You can reach them at centers.rainn.org
I hope you enjoy this book I know I did.

This was a tough topic to read about. The brutality of humanity is always a hard thing to contemplate. I think Stephie Walls handled the telling of this very well. I think the twists that move through this story were well written as well as respectfully.
Cameron has been brutally attacked and her life is no longer clear and defined like she needs it to be to function.
Dax has been trying to get her attention, by pushing her rules. He is now taking care of her after the attack.
Watching what happens is fantastically emotional.

Oh this book was so good, i loved it so much. You get sucked into Cameron and her life she is a strong woman, but even the strongest falter either because of themselves or outside forces. I loves watching how Dax helped Cam overcome her setback and it is a serious setback do not think i am making it seem less serious than it is. Dax is the man who every woman wants in their life someone who is always there for Cameron which makes you love him even more. My heart is still aching from finishing this book, but it is so worth it as it was an excellent read.

Stephie Walls has done it again! Cameron and Dax is a great story of love, trust, and faith. Cam, as she likes to be called, is a very young CEO of a banking company. She is always in control of her life until tragedy strikes and her life is turned upside down.
Dax is controlling dominant guy who comes to Cam's aid. Cam has to give up her control in order to Dax to help her regain control in life again.

This was a tough book to rate for me. I thought the first half of the book was a 5 star read but halfway through it lost something for me. I should have known it would be so BDSM heavy but I wasn't prepared. I do think the way Dax helped Cam heal was beautiful. What he sacrificed for her truly demonstrated his love for her. I never fully understood why Dax fell so hard for Cam, but I enjoyed the way he loved her.

What a fantastic story this is. Beautifully written I was gripped from start to finish.

Cams a fantastic character. CEO of a bank she's so strong and independent. When her life is turned upside down its Dax that comes to help her through it. He's absolutely brilliant.

This is a book full of emotion. With a Dom/sub relationship we also get some great bdsm scenes. I really can't put into words how great this book is. You just need to read it for yourself.

Cam and Dax OMG! Hot Cover!
Cam (Cameron) is a powerful CEO who needs control in all areas of her life. Dax is a typical playboy with a hot body and pretty face - or is he? A life altering event changes both of them forever. This a story of survival, change and rediscovery.
Ms. Wallis has gift. She tells a story with such depth and emotion you can’t help but fall in love with the characters. I can’t wait to read more of her books.

Stephie Walls guts me!

There are no words. I was blown away from the very beginning. This book took me on an emotional journey unlike any I have experienced. Her characters are so raw and exposed. She takes you to dark places and shines a bright light. I am always changed by her writing. Amazing!
