This fanciful tale, recounted in the form of a daily log, describes the adventures of three boys as they explore a strange land where ice cream grows wild and an ice-cream-craving monster speaks Italian
Fun journey through a land of ice cream. My 7 & 4 year olds sat through it (with questions & giggles from my husband listening in.) We emphasized scientific investigation. Will be a great book to come back for different grammar topics.
I have wanted to read this for so long, and it just didn't live up to the version of cool I pre-classified it as in my head. Honestly, it was odd, very disjointed and POV-hopping. I have no clue what half of it was supposed to symbolize.
I think this might be the type of children's book that's more fun for adults than kids. Bit more sarcasm/plays on words than I think of for young kids. That said, seems like a perfect read aloud for...2nd-4th graders.
This was a very cute fantasy book about three men who travel to the land where the ice cream grows. The ending was a little bit of a cute surprise. I thought this would be a fun read for the younger ages.
