Very quaint little mystery book that is g rated and super Christiany. The main character was quirky and sweet Monk should be protected at all costs. Lots of random prayer. Also super short and cozy read. Great end of the year book to knock up your count.

I won this book in a goodreads drawing.

When her friend is attacked, Maggie North rides her motorcycle to the rescue. There's an abecedarian mystery, too easy for Encyclopedia Brown, and nobody talks like a human being. Still, it has its charms.

Looking at the cover I thought this was a children's book, description mentions teenager and his friends.
After reading it I'd definitely describe it as a cozy mystery. Book is mild enough for teens, with verses, prayers and thanks to God here and there. No big shockers or scares. warm and short (I finished it in one evening) with a touch of nostalgia to 80's. And not to forget food - cooking plays a big role here.

Thank you to the author and Goodreads for allowing me to win this on a Goodreads giveaway. While I'm not very religious, this was a cute and quick mystery. The setting was quaint and the characters likeable.

A quick mystery read that is heavy on the Christianity. While not my usual genre, as a librarian with patrons who often ask for Christian reads, this mystery would be a good fit for my community.
