I've definitely spent enough time with this book to justify reviewing it! I took it out of the library not for the Frozen piece, but simply because it is a book of fun braids & updos. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. My finished product frequently resembles the picture, but I must admit my daughter has beautiful long, straight hair that is easy to work with. Though we don't love all of the styles, there are several that we use over and over. We sit with this book and do a few styles a day. What more can I ask for? 3.5 stars

This is a very nice book. Any girl who loves Frozen will fall in love with all of these hairstyles featured in this book. The way the book was put together was good too. All of the braids used for each of the different 28 hairstyles are featured in the beginning of the book before you put them together. What I really liked about this book is that each hairstyle had very easy to follow step by step instructions with pictures to go along. Then on the corresponding page were beautiful pictures of the finishing design on real life female children models.

Perfect book for fancy hairstyles - great pictures and instructions and varying degrees of difficulty. I like the Frozen hairstyle books because I can do most of the styles in them with just a couple practice runs and I don't have to buy a lot of fancy tools to do them.

I received this book as a Goodreads First-reads giveaway.

This book is full of lovely hairstyles that are sure to be a hit with little girls...and not so little girls! The photography in the book is lovely, with photographed step-by-step guides to each hairstyle (written explanations are also included). I was also impressed with the variety found in the child models. If I'm not mistaken, one of the adorable models even has special needs (appears to have Downs Syndrome...please forgive me if I am incorrect). I LOVE that about this book!

My own 7yo daughter has enjoyed looking through all of the styles, but was a bit disappointed that she could not find something that would work with her very thin, shoulder length hair. Another drawback is that only a couple of the styles are actually from the movie. Most are just "inspired by" the characters, season, region, themes, etc. of the Disney movie.

Overall, we liked this book and enjoyed looking through it, but I probably wouldn't recommend that my friends buy it. It's a great one to check out from the library though.

I wanted to love this book. I'm not a seven year old girl and I'm dying to try these hairstyles. But unfortunately unless you have straight, silky, waist length blond or auburn hair (i.e. you're a Disney character or a hair model), the styles probably wont work for you.

That being said, if I had the hair to be able to try these styles, I would love it. They are beautiful- you could use these pictures to inspire an updo by a professional stylist for a special event. The models are cute and sweetly pictured in Frozen-esque backgrounds and clothing. Each hairstyle is accompanied by step by step instructions and thumbnails.

Final call: I expect this to fly off of our library's shelf and frustrate mothers even faster.

I received this book through Goodreads first-reads.

Filled with the hairstyles from the movie and ones inspired by the movie. A perfect book for children and adults alike (who doesn't want to look like Anna or Elsa =) ). Each style has a page of for how to do the style with step by step written instruction and a beautiful color photograph for each step. There is a full page portrait of each style in it's finished state. With the written directions and photographs the book makes it easy to understand, follow and create these styles. I recommend for Frozen fans and those who like to do their child's hair or their own hair in different beautiful styles.

I received the book for free through Goodreads First Reads.

A great book makes me wish I could do hair better but at least I have friends who can do it for me! my favorites were the Braids within a braid on page 18, Fit for a queen on page 40, and Roll the ponytail on page 64. 4/5 stars and a happy face :)
