kinda disappointed

The book was kinda a let down, the first was interesting and paced well with nice content periodically introduced throughout the book. This one was dry, the mc seemed too conflicted in using his new class the he barely leveled it up when givin ample opportunities to do so, way too many POV switching that just drug the story on more that it needed to feel like that. Nothing much really happened in this book and it really just felt like the thug drug on an on with next to no development. I don’t mean to sound rude or too picky or anything but this did just feel dry in most context

The story is interesting, but it's written like a Wuxia or anime filler episodes. It constantly switching POVs. You see one scene from one character’s perspective, then it replays from another's. It makes the pacing painfully slow. I couldn’t sit through the monologue between the main villain and the MC—it drags on for 15 minutes, and then the MC goes into an internal monologue about the same conversation for another 5 minutes. It’s exhausting. This book really needs to cut about 40% of the introspection and monologuing just to keep things moving.

Ohhhh that was marvelous! I love ❤ Jaco as he works with his group to help them level, and ya, if he gets to level welll that's just gravy! All the while they're also fighting to keep the community that's survived the System Apocalypse so far, fighting to keep them safe from the Undead Monsters and The Chosen Few a group of traitorous humans that have allied themselves with Demons... and I for one can't wait for the next book.

I don’t remember the first book being quite so rambling and repetitive; going over the same stuff in different words right next to each other, describing what he’s about to do and then describing it again as he does it, it takes a long time to get anywhere. I also find the repeated uses of ‘the young man’ instead of ‘he’ annoying at best, suspicious at worst. Unless you’re Gandalf in which case I apologise.

Simply put. If you liked the first one, you'll probably like this one. The problem is that the end is just sort of there. I know it was just a setup for the next one, but these cliffhanger endings are getting annoying. It's more annoying than anything else, but it could put some people off. Still, I'll probably read the next one.
