Thanks to its extraordinary hand-dyed colors and luxurious textures, even the simplest garments knit with Noro Yarns look gorgeous. These 30 striking lace designs, meant for intermediate-to-advanced knitters and all made with Noro, highlight the beauty of this cult favorite. The vivid, elegant projects include hats, cowls, shawlettes, blankets, and more. With this unrivaled yarn, satisfying results are practically guaranteed!
Although published in 2015, Noro Lace: 30 Exquisite Knits is a beautifully photographed and timeless collection of knitted lace patterns for hats, mitts, cowls, shawls, scarves, sweaters and an afghan. Each pattern is rated as to difficulty. Note: there are no “beginner” patterns and only two are rated “easy”. Most of the patterns are “intermediate” or “experienced” and some require a knowledge of grafting. I love knitting lace and found at least seven projects that I would like to make. Of course, colorful Noro yarns are showcased and recommended. Please be aware that I found at least two that have been discontinued so careful yarn substitutions will need to be made.
I am OBSESSED with Noro - love, love, love their yarn and have LOADS of it in my stash. It is a lovely book - I often find Noro's books and magazines are equal to reading the September Issue of Vogue - found a couple of things I may do also!
This book is beautifully photographed. The yarn is exquisite. There are several different views of each project, but there are no projects for those of us who may want something less complicated.
